Me quede por segunda vez en La Lune Fort Kochi y solo puedo recomendarlo. El lugar está muy bien ubicado, es muy limpio, las habitaciones son cómodas, tienen AC, internet y el desayuno está buenísimo! Joseph y su mujer son muy amables, cálidos y me ayudaron con todo lo que necesité. La segunda vez que estuve ahí tenía que seguir una dieta estricta y me prepararon comida especial. Tuve que hacer un late check out y no me cobraron las horas adicionales y Joseph organizo todo con el taxi para que me llevara al aeropuerto. Muchas gracias a ambos, disfrute mucho mi estadía allá. Hasta la próxima vez!

There is absolutely nothing not to like about La Lune Fort Kochi and I am a sharp critic. The rooms were spacious and clean. The halls and landing adorned with art painted by both daughters of the house,giving the place a festive and bright look.The bed linen and pillows fresh. The bathroom was spotless . The breakfast,prepared by our hostess was homely and filling. Joseph Xavier you and your wife have set such a high standard with your helpfulness and personal touch that it will be difficult for us to appreciate other places of stay,such is the conundrum we are facing now... All the best for the future. Keep up the hard work.

We had a lovely stay at La Lune. Joseph was an excellent host and our room was both spacious and comfortable. Super roof top breakfast. Our biggest regret is we only stayed 2 nights - would happily have stayed longer.

My room was clean and very comfortable. This is a great location to explore north Kochi from, amongst lots of nearby shops, restaurants, cafes and within easy reach of lots of sights. I'd highly recommend a local guide to give you a tour as the history and culture here is fascinating.

The host of the B&B was very friendly and offered to help with whatever I needed. The room was a good size and well air-conditioned. The property was clean throughout, and offered a good base to reach the rest of Fort Kochi.

Wir waren für die Biennale in Fort Kochi und die Lage des Hotels war hervorragend. Es war sauber. Das Frühstück sehr lecker. Auch die Atmosphäre in dem Hotel mit den ganzen beeindruckenden, von den eigenen Töchtern gemalten Bildern war toll.

Es gab keinen Aufzug und keine 24 Stunden Rezeption. Da wir einen sehr schweren Koffer dabei hatten, war es etwas umständlich mitten in der Nacht damit die Treppen runterzugehen. Schade ist auch, dass Außen nicht gut sichtbar der Name des Hotels angebracht ist. So mussten wir ein wenig suchen.

Lovely decor and ambience to the building. Our room very comfortable, clean, cool and calming with small outside space and good facilities (including a clothes drying rack thanks!). On our floor a kitchen and fridge etc provided which was great. The roof terrace was delightful and breakfast was very very good. Everyone friendly and professional. An amazing place - unfortunately it was our final stop on our trip, but I wish we had come there earlier as Joseph the host was so friendly and knowledgeable about Kochi and Kerala. He was even kind enough to let us stay in the room for longer while we waited for our flight. Location is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable and a fantastic breakfast too. Can't fault it at all!

Property is in an excellent location to walk to all parts of Fort Kochi. Extremely clean and comfortable. Joseph is a sensational host who will go out of his way to help you with any query you may have. He helped us book activities in Fort Kochi, a driver for three days after we left La Lune and even an amazing private hike in Munnar. The two days that we had breakfast there, the food was delicious. Home made and delightful! I also highly recommend using the driver who Joseph arranged for us, his name is Sebi. A great guy who is really accommodating for your needs and has lots of good local knowledge of Kerala and can take you to places you may not have heard about.

Joseph and his wife were excellent hosts! They were warm and welcoming and happy to share their local knowledge about activities. We were met at Cochi Airport by Joseph's taxi and driven straight to his door. I highly recommend that after 24hrs travelling! The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Having access to drinking water, a fridge, kettle, tea and fruit all day was great! Their rooftop garden was a perfect place to relax after a busy day. The breakfast they provided was great - a choice of fresh fruits from their garden, chapati/roti + sambal or continental style too. Lalune is a 5 mins walk to the famous Chinese Fishing nets and the harbour front, a cute beach and a great sunset. You can get a boat over to the main city from there too. It is also a 5 min walk to the lovely shopping area, Bastion Street, with lovely restaurants. We highly recommend Mary's Kitchen and the Spice Root for a delicious lunch and dinner. Lalune is very close to the Cultural centre and Hotel Club 18 is just round the corner and this had a great cafe and a rooftop bar with a free pool table! Lalune is the perfect place for visit to Cochin short stay or long stay.

Highly recommend booking to stay here. Everything exceeded my expectations - this was honestly the best homestay I have stayed in throughout India. Thank you so much for your hospitality Joseph; it was a pleasure to stay at your homestay.

A wonderful place to stay. Joseph and Nimmy are so welcoming and generous of spirit. Our room was comfortable,spacious and cool (with air con and a fan). It had a balcony, decent enough bathroom, and access to a kitchen stocked with filtered water, tea, coffee, and a good supply of free snacks. Breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruit juice, fruit from the garden, an Indian option, eggs, toast and more - we ate so much we didn’t need lunch. Joseph’s local knowledge is so useful. His expertise is freely given, and if you want a specific trip he can arrange most things at a better price than you’ll get elsewhere. I have no hesitation in recommending this place.

Excellent location to visit Fort Kochi and Jew Town. Despite being in the centre of the old city, its location slightly away from the road, made it very quiet. Joseph is a very nice and helpful person always ready to offer his advice/service.

The best managed inn on our three-week trip to India. Joseph and his family and staff make your trip to Kochi feel like home. Good-sized room with an excellent bed, small balcony, cold a/c, and the best shower on our trip. Two minutes walk from the Chinese fishing nets and park. Lots of shops, restaurants, and even a bar less than five minutes away. Superb rooftop breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Delicious breakfast on the rooftop hosted by the charming Joseph and his wife. We only stayed the one night but Joseph organised an extremely good and efficient driver to pick us and all our luggage up from the train carriage door which made arriving in Ernakulam a breeze. (Otherwise usual chaos and tuk tuk choice) Arriving late Joseph recommended Mary’s kitchen very close by and it was delicious. Overall La lune is a great place to stay and we wished we had a bit more time there.

Do love a sheet rather than the coverlet on the bed but that is a personal preference, otherwise the bed was very comfortable.

It was just perfect, one couldn´t ask for more. It´s quiet, spotlessly clean, the internet was fast, the breakfast was tasty. But what makes the place truly different is the host, Joseph. I´ve never seen anyone caring so much for the experience of the guests, this is truly exceptional.

The property is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of all the sights Fort Kochi has to offer. The breakfast was beautiful with eggs from the properties own hens. Joseph and his wife were fantastic hosts, arranging a four night tour of Kerala for us along with other visits and great food recommendations. The driver Sibi he paired us with was brilliant. He had a real light touch, getting involved when we needed his advice and sitting back and letting us do our own thing when we wanted. If we could rate him it would be a 10 too.

It was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. The host, Joseph, was also super welcoming and helpful.

Where to start... What a fabulous experience, Joseph and his wife (really don't know your name) were exceptional hosts. Breakfast was the best we have had in India with home grown fruit, home produced eggs, and amazing home cooked Indian breakfast and continental. I have to mention the blue butterfly tea that Joseph brewed from flowers growing on the roof which keeps you young 😁. Our room was spacious, comfortable with exceptional shower,really good aircon and a lovely little balcony covered in grapevine. Out side our room was a communal kitchen with plenty of tea and coffee available with filtered water and home grown bananas (delicious). Also Joseph was the perfect tour suggester with ideas for trips that were not your usual tourist traps, for example taking the water metro to the main city and riding the city's metro system. Joseph recommend a trip to the cultural center for an exhibition of local theatre and dance which was great fun and only a few few yards from La Lune, would highly recommend. The location of La Lune is perfect with many places to sit and watch the world go by.. As you can probably tell we loved this place and would recommend everything about it.. We will be back!

Eleven nights in heaven. I came for 8 nights and stopped 11 my little heaven. Rooms are large and spotlessly clean.From the start Joseph and his wife are not just your hosts but your friends. Breakfast choice is different every morning with lovely fresh organic eggs and fresh prepared fruit juice. Also a different south indian Breakfast every morning. I 100% recommend La Lune and wouldn't hesitate going back. Thank you Joseph for a wonderful time.

La Lune is a hidden gem. It is located a very short walk from the seafront. The room was great, and the common areas on each floor with tea/coffee making facilities, fridge and drinking water was great too. The breakfast was absolutely declicious on the roof terrace. Joseph the owner was the real star of the show, he is lovely, really kind, helpful and knowledgeable.

Location was excellent, near the hub if activity but tucked down a side street so you had peace and quiet.

Very zen atmosphere, clean rooms and communal spaces, great facilities eg snacks and plenty of filtered water. Joseph was a fantastic host providing great recommendations and making booking for us. The stay was very comfortable, relaxing and easy.

Joseph is the nicest person! He was so very helpful throughout my booking and assisting with show tickets and taxis. This place is a gem located right by the Chinese nets and cultural show. Breakfast was wonderful! We will definitely stay if we fly back to Kochi.

The balcony is only a half balcony, but there's a communal room and upstairs rooftop 🙂 was also a little hard to find. I recommend getting taxi from Joseph.

La Luna is situated in a quite street, but only a very short walk away from the main tourist area on Fort Kotchi. It is well maintained, comfortable and clean, breakfast each morning on the roof terrace was delightful. But, what makes this place is Joseph: charming, helpful, always happy to stop and chat. He leaves you with the feeling that he is genuinely interested in you and loves running his establishment.

Joseph was a great host. The location is great, only a few minutes walk from most of the sights. The breakfast was good and plentiful with eggs cooked to order. The room was large with a large bed. It was a basic room. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. There was a water refill station. Joseph can arrange tours or tickets to the Kathakali show across the street. Very nice stay.

Be aware that there isn't a sign at the B&B. I arranged a pickup at the airport through Joseph so the driver knew the location. If you are coming on your own, La Lune is next to the Fort Manor Hotel.

Absolutely loved my stay at La Lune! Joseph is the BEST, and the property is fantastic. The room was spacious and functional (equipped with a balcony and additional closet space/nook with desk), and the property is located within walking distance to all of the major fort kochi attractions. The top floor balcony is wonderfully airy and calm, and filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. I really had such a wonderful experience here and highly recommend to anyone staying in fort kochi!

Every once in a while you come across places which have something magical in it while it's hard to put your finger on it exactly? Right? La Lune and Fort Kochi combination was exactly this. La Lune is a place to experience utmost warmth, hospitality in a beautifully decorated homestay located right next to Qissa cafe and 100 m from the main Fort Kochi walking district. We had one of our best stays ever + tons of fun. As a seasoned traveller I can count on one hand fingers places I've had such a "emotional battery charging" turnaround stay. We came as highly stressed couple direct from 3-week non-stop intensive work bout and couple of days later left with good memories and smile on our face.

Me and my husband had a fantastic stay at this lovely hotel. Joseph and his family are the most welcoming of hosts and could not do anymore to ensure you have the best possible time. The rooms are spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and a good shower. The room had a beautiful smell of lemongrass and they went to a lot of effort to try to keep the hotel mosquito free. We slept very well. The choice at breakfast was superb and a lot of effort was put into the food being sourced local and as organic as they could . There was also a communal kitchen/lounge area with a filtered water system allowing fresh water to be available at all times, which was convenient and also helps to reduce the use of plastic bottles. The location is very central but still quiet enough to have a good night's sleep. We ended up staying for an extra night because we felt so comfortable there We turned up with no firm plan for our time in Kerala and Joseph arranged the best 5 day trip we could have asked for at a brilliant price. All the accommodation and locations he picked were amazing and of a similar quality to his place. I honestly cannot recommend La Lune enough.

Wonderful host (Joseph) who has created a really well laid-out, comfortable and airy B and B with a lovely atmosphere. He couldn’t have done more to help us, organising trips and taxis etc. The location is excellent - it is quiet but close to restaurants, cafes, shops, sights, ferries, tuktuks. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Air con, hot water and wifi were all brilliant. Breakfast was very good, offering Western and Indian options. We also liked the lounge and kitchen area on each floor where you can make your own tea/coffee and light meals.

An excellent B&B very well located for Fort Kochi. Joseph's place is located down a little road off a main road just a short walk from the sea front and the Chinese Fishing Nets. The rooms are a decent size and comfortably furnished. There is a communal lounge and kitchenette on each floor. Joseph is environmentally conscious using solar power, specially purified water and natural toiletries. He also keeps his own chickens for eggs, though this can mean an early morning wakeup call if you have a room at the front of the property! His English is excellent and he can provide help and advice with anything you need. Breakfast, with a number of options, is served up on the roof. Lunch and dinner are not available but Joseph can recommend a number of restaurants in the vicinity. Most of the places to see in Fort Kochi are within easy walking distance and Joseph can also provide tickets for cultural shows at the venue across the road. NB. cash only but there are ATMs nearby.

The only thing missing at Joseph's place is a safe deposit box.

Lovely property which is walking distance to many amazing little side streets. The ferry is close as well. Rooms are nice and clean and I felt very at home. Breakfast every morning was delicious and Joseph and his wife went out of their way to provide us with everything we needed.

La Lune is one of the nicest homestays / guest houses that I have stayed in. The owner was incredibly helpful and courteous from long before I arrived in Fort Kochi, and full of suggestions for where I should visit while there. The room I stayed in was big, with clean bathroom and comfortable bed, and a small kitchenette outside the room just a few metres away. The daily breakfast on the roof garden is a real highlight, with fresh juices, eggs cooked to specifications and a mix of Western and South Indian options like idli, chapatis etc. It's very central, no more than a couple of minutes from the waterfront, but pretty quiet down a little lane off the main road. Highly recommended - if I get back to Fort Kochi this will be my residence of choice for sure.

Very little. The wifi would be a little patchy at times, but even though I was working online it was fine for my purposes. There is a loud neighborhood cockerel, but it wasn't too disruptive to my sleep.

Our only issue was price. we’ve been living in India over a year and this was our first stay somewhere with many other foreigners and it felt like the price had been doubled for tourists - we’ve paid half the amount for similar facilities at many other places.

What’s not to like? Upon arrival we were greeted by Joseph who made us feel at home. The breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The home stay was located centrally in Fort Kochi. Joseph was also really helpful when we had questions and was willing to help plan travel or tourist attractions.

Perfect place to stay in Fort Kochi. I only had 24hrs here and Joseph told me all the local sites to see so I really made the most of my time. His place is in the perfect location just a few minutes walk to the main attractions, churches etc. The rooms are big and have super comfy beds and the place is quiet so you will sleep well!. There is lots of colourful, happy art work dotted around and comfy common areas. Joseph grows all of his own fruit, herbs and vegetables that you will get to enjoy at breakfast time.. The mint and pineapple juice is amazing and he uses yummy organic eggs that you can enjoy anyway you like with other traditional kerala foods. It really is the perfect place to stay.
