Reviewed Sep 6, 2026We had a lovely stay at Hazelwood Country House. Beautiful quiet house and surroundings. The room was spacious and walk in shower was very convenient. Ann was very welcoming and accommodating and the 3 dogs are very friendly.
Not really a negative. It was just a little more remote than expected but lovely too.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026Wir wurden von den 3 chefs, 3 liebevolle golden retriever hunden begrüsst. tolles Grundstück weg von der Hauptstraße mit großem Haus. Schöne Zimmer mit schöner Aussicht. Bad dto.
Das Frühstück wurde am Vorabend auf einer Liste ausgesucht. Es war etwas überschaubar. Halbe Scheibe Toast zum Rührei. Haben auf nachfragen noch etwas bekommen. Das was wir bekommen haben hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Cappuccino bestellt und Espresso bekommen. War nur mit Milch zu trinken. Die war kalt. Na ja da bekommt der Ausdruck 'kalter kaffe' eine entsprechende Bedeutung. Also da ist noch Luft nach oben.

The room was very clean with everything you needed for a relaxing stay. Anne, cooked us a delicious breakfast & made us feel very much at home. The garden was beautiful & we loved Anne’s 3 friendly golden retrievers who welcomed us on our arrival. Thank you very much Anne.

A distance from Adare. Suggest eating before arrival as you won't want to leave the property kater. Beds and pillows are form-fitting type. Some people love these.

Einsame Gegend, Kühlschrank notwendig, da keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit in der Nähe. Fahrt zum nächsten Dorf Adare ca. 20 Minuten über enge asphaltierte Strassen. Frühstück nicht frisch, einfach. Zimmer relativ klein. Treppenaufgänge mit Kofferschleppen, kein Lift.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026The nature and the dogs who are probably the only ones who are super friendly and welcoming. There are many trees and two horses close by.
The management of the place and the limited facilities in the property and the room. The person who manages the property was not very keen on seeing us. The room wasn’t well prepared, it was too cold and the facilities inside were insufficient for the stay. For example, the TV is old and cannot offer any internet connection or access. The place is very isolated from any town and if you need to eat or have dinner you need to look for something in about 20 kilometers away. The room hasn’t even sugar for the tea. So, the place itself is nice because it is surrounded by nature. However, it is very isolated and is not prepared for anything else. I cannot recommend this enough.

Das Zimmer war wie das ganze Anwesen sehr großzügig und toll angelegt. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und die Tipps der Gastgeberin für die Weiterreise waren sehr hilfreich. Man sollte auch den schönen Ort Adere besuchen, der uns auch sehr gut gefallen hat. Vielen Dank für alles von Sabine und Jörg und Grüße an die Hunde 🐕

Reviewed May 24, 2026Wow. This is hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed. I stayed here as I was attending a wedding in nearby Adare and didn’t want to leave . The property is stunning - modern yet homely, gorgeous interiors, spotlessly clean and in absolutely tranquil surroundings. I spent many hours in the beautiful gardens playing with the three friendly golden retrievers Bonnie, Blondie and Cas. The bedrooms are immaculate and well stocked with everything you would need, with a balcony looking out over endless greenery. Anne is an impeccable hostess and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was unforgettable. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. About ten minutes away is the town of Adare which is gorgeous and absolutely worth visiting with many charming pubs. I don’t have a single negative to say about this place. If you’re looking for a stay that offers you absolute peace and tranquility you must try this little slice of paradise. Ireland at its absolute best. I already want to come back.
