The view was great. The place was relaxing and we loved waking up with the call of prayer in the morning. The owner and his son were lovely.
Still Needs a little bit of work.
La vue sur le nile

- Zolly the owner is a great human and was always helpful and friendly - felt clean - amazing view - wifi was surprisingly great
to manage expectations: -a mosque is close by. So the morning chants are likely to wake light sleepers -sometimes the birds like to peck on the glass window in the morning, a little funny but will probably wake you
Perfect please Zoly the host is the best tyoe of host he will look after you in every way even from before check in good rooms , good location , good wifi
Just be aware the location of this hotel is on an island and you need to take a boat shuttle
Sehr netter Gastgeber
This is definitely… Nubian Paradise ! I booked for two days, and stayed finally one week… The place is a little gem in the beautiful elephantine island. A piece of calm and rest for your stay in Aswan. Zolly is very helpful, kind and is sharing everything to make the most of your stay. It was difficult for me to move from this place !
Nothing

Outdoor areas with great views of the Nile. Efficient AC, comfortable bed. The separate bathroom away from the bedroom, was clean with plenty of hot water. Short walk to the ferry and King Jamaica restaurant with reasinably priced menu of local food. You get a sense of village life away from the hassles of Aswan. Zolly is a very congenial host.
I had a very enjoyable stay

Great accommodation in Elephantina, with a wonderful terrace for amazing sunset and relax on the Nile. Zolly, the owner, made us feel like home and gave us many precious advices for local transportation and helpful suggestions for Aswan. One of the most pleasant stay of our 20days trip in Egypt!
The location is perfect, on the island. The owner is really kind and gives good advice.
The shower is outside the room and could use a little renovation/cleaning
Taking a ferry across to stay on an island was relaxing. Cost of the ferry was 10 egp which was great and quick. Zolly is a great host. Organised the Abu Simbel trip for me without hassle. Also let me know what else I could do. Has a rooftop balcony to see across the river.
Didn’t expect the dirt pathways so taking a wheeled luggage bag is a bit difficult to navigate. Also steps down to the ferry which means steps up. Not a bad thing, but good to know, so you’re ready for it with baggage.
Very friendly owner. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from the ferry. The owner helped me book a trip to Abu Simbel and it worked great.
Very interesting, helpful, and pleasant owner. The view from the balcony was great. Very peaceful Easy to get ferry from the island to main aswan
NA
With views of the River and Zolly's attention our one night visit was pleasant, ideal for short periods of time.
Improve the terrace to enjoy the amazin views
First of all, the owner is very friendly and helpful, and he gave us great advice for trips around the area. The place is really clean, and from the terrace and rooftop you can enjoy a fantastic view, especially since it’s located directly in front of the Nile and right next to the ferry. Overall, it was one of my best experiences.
This was my favourite place in my trip to Egypt. I love Aswan, and staying at Nubian Paradise on Elephantine Island was the quiet I needed from the chaos and hassle of Egypt. The view from the roof is amazing - great for watching the sunrise and the sunset. Zolly is an amazing man, one of the most interesting hosts I've ever encountered in my travels to 100 countries. We had many long interesting conversations and I learnt a lot about Nubain culture and Egypt from him. I want to keep in contact him, and hope to catch up with him again in any future visits to Aswan inshallah. He was able to organise my trips to Abu Simbel, Philae Temple and Aswan Dam, and also a private driver to visit 3 temples and drop off at Luxor. I believe Nubian Paradise will be hard to book in future as his accommodation and service is top notch. While you stay on Elephantine Island please make sure you explore the island, go to the Aswan Museum (it's not touristy), eat at the restaurants on the island and walk around and interact with the locals.
The owner was really kind all the time, all Nubian people is really kind and helpfull if you need anything, you should stay here in elephantine, its quieter and really beautiful at its own way.
Everything ok
No hassle compare to others try to sell u. God I felt at home

Excellent location, very clean and comfy

Fascinating location. View of the Nile.
Access is by ferry, but no problem unless later at night.
Strongly, strongly recommend staying on Elephantine Island. The cheap ferry takes you a world away — it's much more peaceful than in the city. Nubian Paradise is at a good location on the island, too. Very nice cheap grocery store behind it, restaurants nearby, and easy to get to from the ferry. Zolly is an amazing, gracious host. He made my stay much better and easier.
The shared bathroom might be a bit rustic to some people's taste, and the shower water pressure is not great.
Iew of the NIle. Quiet and peaceful.
Hoped kitchen would have heat for making small meals.⁷⁸⁹
The most heartfelt welcome. Extremely helpful with everything. Very kind always. 100% recommended.
Zolly was and excellent host, his hospitality was warm and welcoming and he couldn’t be more accommodating. The guest house it’s self is a nice spot over over views over the Nile and Aswan. Facilities are all up to scratch and the rooms well equipped. The guesthouse offers excellent value for money and you can put a price on the hospitality Zolly offers .
Nothing
The position and the spectacolar view on the Nile fron the terrace
The absence of breakfast
My stay at Nubian Paradise was exceptional. The location is superb, the host was very welcoming. Everything was perfect.

The toilet outside in the air there is no privacy ; the mosque sound is very high specially 5 am ' the place is very very very annoying ' not recommended to any one
This guesthouse is a truly authentic experience for Aswan. Located a few minutes ferry ride from the main town (only 10EGP per trip, runs 24/7), in a secluded, quiet and safe traditional Nubian village, you can escape the noise and business of Aswan. The owner is a very friendly Nubian man who speaks excellent English, has travelled a lot, and makes great recommendations and shares helpful advice. He organised my trip to Abu Simbel, and advised me on a Nile cruise to Luxor. Any questions or needs, you can text or call him and he will support you. The room I stayed in was nice, with a large double bed. The shared bathroom is basic, but you are in a Nubian village after all! There is a lovely balcony with a stunning view over the Nile. The overall vibe of this guesthouse is calm, welcoming and easy going. I would definitely stay here again!
The owner is very kind and responsive. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooftop view overlooking the Nile is wonderful. He met me at the dock and helped me with my bags. Super clean rooms!
Guesthouses of similar or better quality include breakfast with the price. There were no breakfast options here. Although the room is really nice, the lighting was very low at night, which made it difficult to see.
This guest house offers some nice and clean rooms as well a great terrace and a nice roof terrace also. The host Zolly is not only nice and helpful, he knows a lot about european cultur and people because he has been in Europe for a long tlme. All together its a great place on the beautiful island of elephantine.
The nubian paradise is in direkt neighborhood to a mosque, so everyone will listen to the speakers of the muezin at certain times (starting at 5 am) very loud.
The place is quite really clean and comfy, Zoly Is nice and really friendly, The nile view at night is amazing, The bathroom is really clean and comfortable, The beds are really really comfortable and it is very warm not too cold nor too hot.
Nothing at all was really bad, it is actually quite perfect, only thing was the bathroom smelt like sewers other than that it's really nice!
Feels like home :) Zolly is super friendly the spirt of real egypt is there if you need real life its there waiting for you . recommended
Clean and great locations. Zolly can help with all you need.

Setting was beautiful Close to ferry Host very helpful
Needed an extra blanket at night Very close to Mosque minaret
I always book my accommodations based on good reviews. This time I could have not chosen better. A nicest location close to the ferry to Elephantine Island, a very nice room with nothing less than I could have expected for a backpack trip. The room was very tidy and we had a room with a private bathroom. What I saw of the shared facilities, not bad at all either. The host was helpful with just everything you need, like an early rise ferry to mainland for an Abu Simbel excursion. Coffee and tea available self-service at any time. There is a terrace with a perfect view over the Nile and downtown Aswan.
As some other reviews stated, there is a mosque quite next door. It did not bother us but you are sure to get a wake up call at 5.15 am. If a short wake up call in the morning does not disturb your sleep, keep on sleeping until the next call for prayer.
The setting was perfect. Great views Close to the ferry Host very helpful
Close to the minaret No bedside light
Very spartan but good value for the price. Excellent location close to the ferry, but also right next to a mosque where the muezzin starts screaming at his loudest through his loudspeaker as from 5 am.
The most difficult thing to find in an accommodation for a local town like Aswan is someone you can truly trust. Someone who will not ask you for more money or not caring about you at all. Nubian Paradise does not have the best and the newest facilities, but you can find trusting staffs and a heart warming welcome.
Great rooftop views, lovely staff.
Close to the mosque
Nice bedroom . Nice place . Nice pantries .. so we family can make a coffee and talk at the rooftop with good air and nice view . The staff very nice . I make a wrong booking . But they manage it with good . I like
Cozy family place with a little shared kitchen and a very nice terrace overlooking the Nile. Close to the ferry station. Very good value for money.
The (shared) bathroom wasn't ideal with very little pressure on the shower and sometimes issues with the toilet flushing.
Great AC/Aircon (very necessary in most seasons - we were there in early October and max daily temps went above 45 degrees celcius). Wifi also worked really well for remote calls. Very stable. The views from the rooftop were stunning - such a peaceful view of the Nile. Zolly and Abdallah were very kind. Place was always super clean. Shower pressure was good. It was easy walking distance from the public ferry and you were right by the best restaurants on Elephantine (King Jamaica and Nubian Dreams).
Nothing! Great value for money and great location.
Great location with top views of the Nile and the river traffic and close to several restaurants.
Challenge of locating everything… taxis not knowing where it is, needing to walk up odd paths and different pick-up points.
Very clean and tidy with good price! Guest house staff are good and friendly, helping me to solve my travel related problem in Aswan. Also another Renters are fun, had have a happy time in there. Also, the Nile view is enjoyable and a real privilege for the guest.
No
The view from the terrace. Rooms were comfortable and with AC. The place was very clean. Close to the ferry. Wifi was decent to work and have meetings.
- The view of the Nile - room was cozy and clean - Good wifi - Friendly staff - Good location
Very nice and cozy accommodation on Elephantine Island. Clean and very friendly staff! Recommended :)
Nice and cozy accommodation on Elephantine Island! Recommended
The hospitality of the owner
-
The room was pretty small, I was a bit surprised when I came there, but it was according to description and pictures, so maybe I forgot this after I booked it. But you have a great terrace overlooking the Nile, so you can always hang in there. 1 minute away from 2 good restaurants and from the ferry. Don't remember anything about the mosque mentioned in comments, so I assume it didn't bothered me.
The space was pretty limited, maybe a small bedside table, like 40x40 cm, would fit near the entrance. But nevertheless, it was good enough for me as is right now.
The location on elefantine island was perfect.
Most things, especially the host and the staff are very hospitable and clever.
Water of shower is small but Ok.
Everything, and especially the host and the staff. Both are very hospitable and kind.
Water for shower is a little bit small and no soap.
Very near good restaurants, clean and good price.
The view was wonderful , Itwas calm and peaceful stay 💙🖤 The staff was very nice and helpful 🤝
This hostel has very good vibes thanks to Abdallah and Zolli who run it together. You can get delicious dinner from them, nice conversations if you're up for it, good local advice and arrange trips to wherever you want in the area. They are from the island and seem to know everyone. Overall this is a very chill place and you will enjoy your stay here for sure.
If you're looking for absolute peace sound-wise, this might not be the best place for you and you should look for hotels and the western side of the island. The hotel is facing the city and you can hear all the traffic on the corniche. However, that doesn't take off the overarching peace of it.
Everything was great: the place, cleaness, pro active and very nice staff. Thank you Abdallah for all the conveniences You have to share bathrooms but they are super cleans. And the location is 🔝
Thanks to abdul and zolly what a cool place looking right over the nile 2 minutes walk from ferry small shops and resturants close by perfect for relax
Shower needs some power
Abdullah was amazing! He was so helpful and always available if we had any questions. Zolly and Abdullah were great hosts and made us both feel welcome. The shared bathroom and common areas were very clean. The room was gorgeous. I loved the Nubian style roof. The view from the hotel sitting area was beautiful, looking straight out onto the Nile River. The hotel is very close to the ferry. It only costs 5 Egyptian pounds during the day or 50 Egyptian pounds after midnight until 6am. The island is so quiet and safe to wander around on. The people and children that live there are very friendly and it makes for a great atmosphere:)!
The shower pressure was very low and the beds were a little hard but we managed:) The big negative for us was getting woken up at 5am every morning. The mosque next door uses loud speakers to broadcast prayers 5 times a day, sometimes lasting up to an hour, and the first one is around 5am. The speakers are on full volume right outside the window. It is so loud, someone may as well be in the room yelling into your ears. It was a very upsetting way to wake up every morning:( Earplugs won’t be much help unfortunately. It’s such a shame because the hotel was lovely otherwise and I know this is out of their control. Hopefully in the future Egypt might have noise restrictions for certain times of day. Apart from emergency warnings, I think the use of loud speakers for anything at 5am is absolutely not okay.
The location is great, right next to the ferry and the view is awesome! Everything is super clean and the hosts are professional and friendly. Highly recommended!
Everything really clean and the stuff was kind and helpful!
The price is a little bit expensive but worth it.
Great Welcome. Amazing view.
Its in a very good location by the Nile and is also near a market, a chemist, a hospital and restaurants. The owners are very hospitable and I will definitely come back if I visit Aswan again
nothing
Staff is great!
There is a night club near the hotel.
Great place on the quiet Elephantine island. The ferry at the KFC takes you to the island for only LE5. Super comfortable beds, hot showers and a beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. Abdullah is incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing (and a lot!). Highly recommended.
Great location on Elephantine island, just a couple of minutes walk from the ferry, and we were met by someone from the guesthouse who brought us to the guesthouse. The guesthouse and rooms were simple (in quite a traditional Nubian style) but very clean and comfortable, in particular the beds. Abdullah, our host was exceptionally helpful and both he (and his uncle) facilitated us and helped us with our travel plans when we were let down and had a trip cancelled by a separate travel company. There was a fridge and kitchenette which was very useful to store cold water and supplies.
No breakfast was available, however, there was a kitchenette and fridge, and there was another guesthouse (Bob Marley Guesthouse) less than a minutes walk away where you can get a large Nubian style breakfast.
Nubian Paradise is a lovely place, full of charme, silence and a wonderful view on the Nile River. The hosts are nice, welcoming and willing to help and feel you at ease. Highly recommended.
Great location on Elephantine Island. A really lovely terrace with great views over the Nile to Aswan. Abdullah was super helpful and arranged various trips for us. Free tea and coffee available. The room was basic but overall clean and comfortable enough. We enjoyed our stay here.
The bathroom smelled a bit like drains and could have been a bit cleaner. But not a huge issue.
This accomodation is very well located and easy to reach. We were welcomed by the most friendly owner and his nephew. They were available anytime when we needed information about the island and its surroundings. This place is a lovely escape from busy Aswan.
