Well positioned for Dun Laoghaire
Easy reach of the centre.
Other guests were noisy at times
- Położenie przy bocznej ulicy. - Dogodny dojazd koleją DART do centrum Dublina. - Dobry kontakt z gospodynią.
- Bardzo słabe wi-fi w niektórych pokojach. - Stare sprzęty, mały pokój. - Bardzo głośny ogrzewacz wody w prysznicu
l emplacement
Good location near buses, airport coach and Dart and a walk by the sea or train into town.. Comfortable beds, thick duivets. Shower hot, tea, coffee, shower gel and shampoo provided. Quiet house on a quiet rd, so we slept well.. For a twin room with shower it is relatively cheap for Dublin so while we have some criticisms, you get what you pay for, we were only over for one night on family business so it suited us.
Shower hot but not very powerful. Decor a bit dated, especially the hall and stairs. Room clean sort of, but probably needs a better job especially bathroom skirting boards which were dirty.
Available
Bit smelly and worn and ramshackle. Expensive for what it is. No brekky. TV not working..bit damp.
Staff were lovely and very helpful and friendly

This place is shocking! We had to leave in middle of the night, not safe!
Weird noises outside the room, weird smell, pictures so not look like the actual room.

If you are considering booking this place, DON'T!!!! It is not as advertised, run down and in poor state of repair. Hosts are rude, pushy and intimidating. We did not stay when we saw the state of the place - there was a hoover plugged into a socket and the wire was running across the stairs - the woman hovering was inappropriately dressed in what looked like a short night dress which was see through. The host tripped over the wire as he went up the stairs and left the wire plugged in, across the stairs. The stairs rail was wobbly and one good push would have broken it so if we had tripped over the wire, it is likely the rail would have broke with any weight put on it. The room was grubby, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and the lock on the bedroom door was flimsy. We did not feel safe from the moment we entered the house and the host was intimidating and even after I told him we were not staying, he still tried to give me the key for the room!! I now understand why they take payment 14 days in advance so that when you see the state of the place you either have to fork out for somewhere else or if you are not lucky enough to have this option, you have no choice but to stay. I can safely say, I would not have slept if we had to have stayed there. I contacted booking.com but so far no response.
They young. Lady receptionist. She was very pleasant..
Using the code to get in and out. Overall facilities poor.cbeap show...
Stayed here before and it's a great central location for visiting family and friends in Dun Laoghaire, close to all amenities. Comfortable, clean and perfect for a short stay. We'll be back!
Nothing
Location, and helpful owner Mina
Nothing
Everything
Everything was brilliant.
Great location, staff lovely
The property is tired
Location
General condition of building interior and facilities.
Unfortunately I had a terrible experience as the 2nd night I stayed there was another guest down the hall who was smoking drugs and playing loud music all night and not one member of staff came to shut it down so no sleep all night
Mulgrave Lodge is in a great location, with easy access to Dunlaoghaire and surrounding areas.
Nothing
The location was suitable for us to attend the RDS with a short drive to the UCD carpark. Our bedlinen, towels and toilet were clean.
Our room was very small, poorly laid out, everything was a little makeshift, old, dated and lacking charm. We parked to the rear of the building in their private carpark which was handy but the entrance was poorly displayed and very uninviting upon entering. There is no personal touch here.
Close to Sandycove. Quiet after dark. Comfortable beds. Apologies to our Host, as I had difficulty with understanding communications. We left room early and dropped key in Post Box to avoid disturbing Host Family, but they did not realize I had checked out until they rang me much later.
Nothing to fault really.
Great location, great value for money, room was lovely and larger than expected. I would stay again. Complementary coffee, water and croissants.
Minor - pillows were too hard for my liking but that might be just personal preference.
No much place stinks of smoke had to share bathroom it really was a total kip the bed wasn’t bad tho
All of the above
Good night's sleep.
Shower weak. No desk.
Beautiful location and a lovely townhouse and attention to detail .
Central for Dun Laoghaire
Room damp, took forever to get hot water in the morning (>15 mins). Ridiculous setup with keys in lockboxes in dark room that the light wouldn't come on in (maybe I'm just too short to recognize?) - took forever combining light on phone plus zoom on camera. That's after the code for the front door wouldn't work.....
Clean and a good location.
The hallway and landing smells a bit musty.
Location and price
Smell of moister
Safe and quiet
Bedroom slight smell mould or damp behind bed
Everything
It was excellent.
Close to the shops, bus and dart station
Nill
Location and price. The place was clean as well.
Shower did not work. I believe this is a hostel not a hotel. As a hostel it would be good.
Everything
It was excellent.
The apartment was immaculate, very close to the center and Marina
The convenience of being so close to everything
No breakfast
There was nothing to like. It was awful. Avoid.
It was all dreadful. Avoid.
Close to everything
No toilet and shower in the room
I really couldn't fault Mulgrave Lodge on anything. All I wanted was a peaceful break in Dun Laoghaire and this little hostel was perfect for me. Mina and her staff took care during my stay to see that I, an elderly woman on her own, had everything I needed. There were thoughtful little touches in the room such as a flagon of drinking water and a hairdryer, lits of tea, coffee and pastries, and everything in perfect working order. I really enjoyed my private patio, too.
No complaints from me

Lovely location property was well kept and looked nice
Shower was a bit lacklustre and we had a lack of hot water on the first day
Room was bigger than I expected, with a really comfy bed. The shower felt great also. All in all a comfy space to spend a night in dun laoghaire
Basic accommodation in a great location close to the town centre and the DART station
Our room was pretty basic and had marks on the walls n doors but it was clean.
Very good
All good there n
Location
It needs a good clean, especially the black mould in the bathroom
It was very close to everything and very comfortable other than the bed
The bed was the worst bed I’ve ever slept in was like sleeping on the side of a mountain whichever side you laid on!
Clean sheets. Good bed.
Filthy mouldy stuff in Dining Room fridge.
Clean sheets. Good bed. Quiet.
Lingering smell of cigarette.
Nothing. Location ok I guess.
Dirty. Bathroom smelled like cigarettes. Cramped. Felt unsafe behind a flimsy door. Dungeon vibes.
Property is fine
Actually i paid 86 euro for one night and the room is same when she saw kid she charged me 30 more euro that i dont like it because when i book they have said free for children but later they charged
Great location just behind the main street and in easy reach of the harbour and seafront. Was perfect for a short visit and to reach the Pavillon Theatre. Room was quiet, clean and had an ensuite.
On street parking is challenging to find and can be expensive. €2 per hour and only for a max of 3 hours.
Room and facilities were basic but reflected in the price. Located very handy to the train/Dart station. Place was secure and quite. Staff were helpful
Friendly staff, wiling to help.
