A beautiful room in this stylish and comfortable property. The house and its contents are of a very high standard and we found it a perfect 'home from home' experience. Breakfast was a sumptuous delight and we felt wonderfully hosted.

A little road noise at the front of the house but given the property's location this was expected.

We got a warm welcome, the house was beautiful and its facilities were excellent. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice. I would definitely stay there again. It was a great location, outside Dublin, and perfect for a vist to the James Joyce Tower, south of Dublin. We were travelling across Ireland afterwards, but if you wanted to visit Dublin I expect that it would be very straightforward - with the Dart train station five minutes' walk away. It was excellent value for money, when compared with places in the city.

Really small point: lack of shelf space in the bathroom. However, this is the case with most hotels and B&Bs. Paying for parking at the nearby Dart railway station was complicated and I ended up parking in a layby on the main road.

The house was beautifully decorated. The owners very friendly. The breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of food. The hosts were very helpful in providing information about getting to Park Run and into the city. Thoroughly recommended.

Die DART Bahn ist in 3 min zufuss erreichbar, die fahrt ins Stadtzentrum ist ca. 15min. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut und die Gastgeberinn sehr zuvorkommend.

Lovely house. Perfect host and the breakfast was so varied and delicious.

The home was beautiful, filled with books, paintings and music. The garden in the back was lovely with twinkling lights at night. Jacki and her family were beyond friendly, helpful and happy to share stories. Breakfast was WAY over the top, with everything pictured and more. And yes the scones, brown bread and pastries were home made. I saw her baking the night before.

Het is een smaakvol ingerichte, mooie woning! De eigenaars zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam! De kamer an sich was zeker netjes en in orde. We moesten helaas vroeg vertrekken en konden daardoor niet genieten van het ontbijt, maar er werd een zakje voor ons klaargezet, wat we zeker appreciëren. De B&B ligt op wandelafstand van de parking, kust en eetgelegenheden in een rustige buurt. Dublin is echter vlakbij. Als we ooit terugkomen naar Dublin onthouden we dit adresje! :)

De kamer was vrij klein. Aangezien wij een langere reis maken, was dit wel zoeken met onze baggage. Ook het bed was eerder klein en kort. De matras lag wel goed. Verder ben ik zelf een oplettende persoon en voor mij was de kamer proper, maar hier en daar was er verbetering mogelijk. :)

Die Gastgeber haben uns herzlich willkommen geheißen und sinnvolle Tips gegeben. Das Irish Breakfast sah wunderbar aus und schmeckte auch richtig gut.

A hidden gem such a beautiful house . It was so beautiful. From arrival to departure was fantastic. The lady Jacquie could not do enough for you. I did not feel like a cooked breakfast as I had to leave early she offered to make me lunch . I can't wait to have an excuse to go back and enjoy her cooked breakfast as the fruit was beautifully presented.

Exceptional stay — truly 5★ in every way I had an outstanding experience at Blackrock B&B. From the moment we arrived, Jacquie and Jerry made us feel genuinely welcome; they’re the kind of hosts who go far beyond what you’d ever expect, and it shows in every detail. The room was spotless, beautifully kept, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. Breakfast was superb each morning, fresh, generous, and clearly made with care. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere the hosts create. Jacquie and Jerry are warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely people who clearly take pride in what they do. Their local knowledge, kindness, and the way they look after guests make this B&B something special. I would recommend Blackrock B&B without hesitation. A perfect stay from start to finish.

No complaints at all, I only wish I could have stayed longer

I liked the location

The host did not show us around , brought straight to our room. Mattress was really soft and uncomfortable. it was very noisy through the night with raised male voices? a door slamming or banging noises so we got very little sleep. Our room was small but that wouldn’t really have mattered if the bed was comfortable. At breakfast we didn’t know where to go so we stood awkwardly in the hall for a while . When we found the breakfast room , the other guests were already eating and the cold food, and fruit was already on the table and had been picked through by the earlier guests . The juice had been mostly already poured by the guests and no refills was offered . I had advised at time of booking that there was one vegan and I was reassured that the owner was equipped for this, there was no dairy free milk for breakfast nor dairy free spread for toast. I reminded again that I was vegan and she proceeded to put butter on my cooked mushrooms , I have an intolerance to dairy so it is just as well i realised and asked her before eating them. The fruit platter was beside the other guests one of which was coughing over it so we were unable to access fruit until they left. I ended up having dry toast with a small portion of beans And black coffee. The host told me her son was vegan which you would think she would have understood the very basics. I left feeling quite exhausted from lack of sleep and hungry from the poor breakfast. I don’t feel we were made to feel very welcome.

I needed close proximity to the Blackrock clinic for early morning appointment. Devasted to arrive and discover no parking facilities with accommodation. Breakfast was very good, and all baked fresh and cooked fresh. Very well presented.

The lack of parking. Very low bed, the pillows kept falling off the top of the bed. No sign outside the house showing its location.

Fabulous house. Jacquie was a great host. Great breakfast in a beautiful home. Looking forward to our next stay.

Blackrock B&B war toll, das Haus ist stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet und die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig, es ist alles da und zusätzlich gibt es auf Wunsch warme Eierespeisen. In weniger als 5 Minuten ist man am Bahnhof und dann in max. 15 Minuten mitten in der City von Dublin. Das Parken ist Gebührenpflichtig, kostet 4,50 € pro Tag - also mehr als erschwinglich für diese zentrale Lage.

Das Haus ist auf Anhieb nicht so leicht zu finden, da es an einer belebten Straße liegt und es keinen Hinweis auf das B&B gibt. Wir mussten unser Auto erstmal abstellen und die Straße zu Fuß erkunden - die Hausnummer und die Gastgeberin haben dann das Rätsel gelöst :)

The hosts are delightful! Such a wonderful breakfast they make! You will be spoiled. The B&B is in a quiet section of Dublin and is super close to the metro line.

Welch ein Glücksgriff! Die Unterkunft sehr gut angebunden an die DART um gut in die Innenstadt von Dublin zu kommen! Parkplätze an der DART Station „ums Eck“ günstig zu haben! Jacquie und Ihre Familie hervorragende Gastgeber! Das Frühstück außergewöhnlich! Die Ausstattung gehoben-das ganze Haus sehr gepflegt! Und dann noch jeden Abend zwei Bayleys am Kamin im Zimmer!

It's a little more than we normally pay...but worth it!

Gastgeber und Haus / Zimmer ist alles stimmig. Man hat das Gefühl wilkommen zu sein. Die Lage ist super. Es ist ruhig, und die Anbindung an den öffentliche Verkehr liegt direkt vor der Haustür.

Very well located, easy to find, easy parking, very clean and cosy. Lovely people and fantastic breakfast with a lovely surprise when entering the room.

A beautiful home with very friendly hosts. The room was so comfortable, I think I had the best night's sleep in a long time. Breakfast was so good, plenty of choice and a lovely Irish breakfast. I can't fault it.

Parking was down the road at the train station. Hard to get a space with commuters. But not really that much of a problem.

Location, comfort, breakfast & friendliness

Honestly everything! We have stayed at this location before and we loved it! Jackie the host, was extremely accommodating and friendly. The house was lovely. The room was comfortable clean and even had Irish Bailey’s cream on the mantle for us to enjoy. The shower was warm, the towels, soft, and the room private and the homemade breakfast in the morning beautifully presented and delicious.

Wunderschönes B&B, geräumiges und hübsches Zimmer, wunderbarer Frühstücksraum. Alles wunderschön eingerichtet. Die Besitzer waren sehr herzlich und sehr aufmerksam. Das Frühstück war ganz wunderbar mit einer tollen Auswahl. Man kann zwei Minuten entfernt parken und dort ist auch der Zug, der nach Dublin reinfährt, was ca. 25 Minuten dauert. Ein Bus hält auch fast vor der Tür.

We had a lovely stay at Blackrock B&B. Our hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable, and made us feel very much at home. Both were very helpful in every way. This gracious period house is a lovely premises. It is spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed throughout. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you to our hosts for a lovely stay. We would definitely return if visiting the area again.

We were made to feel most welcome at every stage of our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Jacquie and Gerry’s breakfasts were as good as in any top hotel. The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable and the tot of Bailey’s Irish cream at night was a lovely touch. The location is so convenient for the Dart and if you like a nice walk to seafront offers this as well. Absolutely fabulous. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was spotless and just the right temperature. The facilities were excellent. It is a period house, tastefully renovated. The breakfast was excellent and the hosts were thoughtful and made me feel very welcome in their home.

That because we were headed out early to catch a plane home, Jackie fixed us a sack lunch to take with us for breakfast. Helped us understand how to buy tickets and catch the airport shuttle.

We loved the cozy bedroom and beautiful skylight, and we were greeted with Irish cream cocktails. Everything was meticulously set for us, and refreshed during the course of our stay. Breakfast was lovely, a welcoming space with delicious meal options. We enjoyed a full Irish breakfast and many homemade pastries. This location gave us great access to the Dart and subway system, which we used to travel into the downtown and down the coast during our stay. We drove into town by car, and the civic parking lot nearby was very accessible and easy to use. There were a few food options for dinner/drinks within walking distance, which was also lovely.

Hosts were kind and exceptionally accommodating. Room was on the small side but totally comfortable for just me. Would have been tight with a second person. Lovely touch with the Bailey's Irish Cream every evening.

The townhouse is exquisitely appointed. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast outstanding. Jacquie even gave us a spare power converter plug, which we used on our entire trip. Thank you, Jacquie!
