Beds were comfortable and clean.

Shower was plugged with hair. I had to clean to stop from over flowing.

Absolutely atrocious and a complete misrepresentation . The “Gastro bar” is permanently closed- the whole reason why we booked was because it was on top of a pub/ restaurant.

Everything- from the price for an absolute dump of a place- dirty, damp, three flights of stairs to get to the room, leaky roof in the shower, broken toilet , never saw any staff. No TV, this room was tired and desperate- a place where you’d go to die or feel like you should once you get there. Pretty sure there was black mold in the shower and a cum stain on the pillow.

The gastro pub closed in August 3 days after I booked. The only way to get in was to call a number which when coming from America is a pain. When you get the code for the keys you discover the entrance door is broken and doesn't lock. You call the number back and you get told don't worry about it we are near the garda office. The lock will not be fixed until Monday and we leave on Sunday.The doorway to the room is pitch black until you get to the door. The room is just three beds with nightstands in-between. The closest door was broken and when we tried to open it it fell off. The bathroom floor has red stains all over it. The one window offers no air flow. Overall this is a cheap flop house disguised as a B&B.

The property manager was very friendly. I appreciated the bottles of water left for us.

The price for the room was not at all in line with the accommodations provided. For example, I booked. Queen bed room at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Dublin City Centre for €135.00. I paid Bailey’s €172.50. The beds were very hard. And not to the fault of the owner but the pub around the corner had extremely loud music and people thru the early morning hours.

Location was perfect. A block off the river and walking distance to everything. We even found free off street parking.

The noise of the water heating all night. No TV in the room . The only good thing it had going for it was it was clean . But definitely not worth 93 euro.

Pub had closed down on the 20th of August, no breakfast. 1 cup in the room, scruffy, no milk, no coffee, noisy, beds were sloped, door to the hallway has a lock but it didn't work - could easily just push it open!

It was in a great position and easy walking to all attractions.

The Bar and Bistro had closed a week prior to our arrival, which was very disappointing. The room was very basic with only a bed and a very small bathroom. A kettle would have been very helpful.

I'm sorry to have to leave a negative review for this accommodation. The room was clean, the location was excellent, and the bed was comfortable. But the real problem during the night we spent there was a constant, loud beeping sound coming from outside the rooms. It never stopped; it felt like Chinese water torture. Sleeping was impossible. When we stayed there, the pub was closed, so perhaps when it is open, the beeping is less noticeable and gets drowned out by the pub noise. At 4 a.m., I even went outside the room to try to figure out what it was. If I had understood where it was coming from, I would have smashed it with a stick. Maybe it was a fire door or something, I really don't know, but it's absolutely unbelievable that a house with this kind of problem can be rented out. It was genuinely unbearable. Such a shame.

Super emplacement dans le centre d'Athlone, le personnel est très sympa et on peut profiter du pub juste en dessous. La chambre est grande et lumineuse.

Très mauvaise insolation phonique, le lit un peu dur. La salle de bains pas très propre, a sans doute connu des jours meilleurs, il y avait un problème avec la pression de la douche.

Première chose : l’état de la salle de bain. Le carrelage est cassé. Fuite au robinet et à la chasse d’eau. Pas d’eau chaude. La douche n’est pas propre. Qu’une seule serviette pour quatre personnes. Deuxièmement : un trou dans le parquet, araignées et toiles d’araignées. Un faux jour au dessus de la porte, il manque un mur. Porte de la chambre en mauvaise état (au niveau de la serrure). Pas d’équipements à disposition (pas de télé, pas de wifi, rien) Globalement il y a un manque de propreté dans cet établissement. Le prix semblait correcte, mais compte tenu de tous ces default, est trop cher.

Location is very close to the old centre of the town. Room was clean and tidy but is minimalist. Bed is comfortable and facilities are clean. Staff in bar friendly and helpful. Food available in the bar at extra cost, food is good,

No tea making facilities. not even a glass for water. Considerable road noise, Straight steep stairs, in no way suitable for elderly people carrying suit cases.

Whole atmosphere of the place and the staff were so helpful and friendly. And generous; paid for our car park. Great meals in the pub. Beautiful cottage pie. So handy to the town, and Sean's Bar - the oldest pub in Ireland

The people were very kind and taught us about some of the history of the area.

The rooms are dated. But one of the owners shared that the rooms are being renovated starting next week!!!

The room was very basic, just beds and a bathroom. There was no lift which I was aware of but the stairs was narrow and steep so not suitable for elderly or unstable person.

If you just want to sleep in a bed then it was fine. The room was tiny and very basic. However the beds were comfortable.

I was staying down for an all day event. I left my bag at lunchtime as my room wasn't ready so they told me that it was fine and to just come back later. I was out for the day and when I came back that night, around 1, the property was closed. While understanding it was late, I assumed that they would call me to let me know I needed to collect keys. I spent the night wandering the streets as nobody answered my calls and I had nowhere to go. Also, nobody contacted in the morning to even apologise. Once again, I understand that it was my responsibility to be there to check in but no information was given to me to tell me that they were closing. Also, the fact that they never even contacted me afterwards in my eyes is very poor form.

friendly staff and a great location.

the room is clearly not meant for accommodation and feels more like a technical/storage room. There are no photos of this “room” on Booking, and now it’s obvious why. The room is located somewhere between the pub and the beer garden, so you can hear absolutely everything until midnight. Despite being advertised as non-smoking, cigarette smoke constantly comes into the room. The window is tiny, so proper ventilation is impossible. There is also a boiler/heating technical area inside the room itself. The mattresses are completely worn out, you can feel the springs, and one mattress was so uneven that I kept rolling to one side during the night. Overall, it feels like sleeping in a storage room rather than a hotel room. Humanity invented hotels, yet somehow people still rent out closets next to beer and boilers.
