Reviewed Sep 15, 2026I could not recommend this b and b. no one to receive us upon arrival. instructed to let ourselves in when I rang their phone number. Reception area dusty. No tv/common lounge area for guests. Just dining area, and a door stating for employees only. bedroom- v poor quality beds mattresses, pillows, and bedlinen. Towels- poor quality. thread bare. Mattresses badly stained, mattress protector badly stained. Can feel springs through mattresses. Again dust an issue here. Windows and mirrors unclean. the tv in the room is of a monitor size. breakfast:- mediocre. no teapots. just a cup of tea brought out, no teabag. Porridge- i was unable to eat it. Check out local hotels that do B and B rates for only few euro extra.

Asked for poached eggs, was presented with disc shaped hard boiled eggs. Only white sliced bread available for toast. Seemed like the food was cooked previously to our allocated eating time and then just kept warm. Reduced water pressure in the shower but adequate temperature. Bedroom facing busy road so noisy early in morning.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Just spent one night here and it was perfect for my trip to tralee. The room was bigger than I expected and bed was comfortable. Private bathroom as well and no issues whatsoever. Location from town is a 15 minute walk. Lady who looked after me was lovely and the breakfast the next morning was perfect. For one night or 2 I don't think you can go wrong would definitely recommend.

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026Karen our host is a lovely kind young woman and looked after us very well. My husband is very deaf and she was extra kind to him.. It is literally across the road from the hotel meadowland where I was attending an oral history conference so it was perfect.
There were no issues to quibble with !

You have to write down your breakfast selection and expected time on the desk in the main hall the day before. There's no common area Breakfast was good. Dated but cosy. 20 minutes walk into town
Small improvement-We found the instructions posted on the side of the dresser which was not really visible. Would recommend that the instructions be moved to a nightstand or somewhere more obvious.
