Location was excellent for exploring and using the trains and buses. Beautiful courtyard garden to have breakfast in if you chose to. Comfortable bed, and spotlessly clean.

No view, but this is minor, as we never were going to sit around in it all day.

Alles bestens. Die Unterkunft wird mit viel Leidenschaft und Herzblut geführt! Bei geschlossenen Fenstern hört man die Züge praktisch nicht.

Beim Frühstücken im Garten sind die regelmässigen Vorbeifahrten der Züge halt schon etwas störend, da sie über die Weichen doch recht unangenehme Geräusche verursachen.

Great location close to the Lake Maggiore swim spot and city center. Excellent hosts and a very tasty breakfast!

Sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Kleines, aber feines Frühstücksbuffet mit Regionalen Produkten, das Frühstück geniesst man im Garten. Top Lage, nahe am Bahnhof und See. Mit Charme eingerichtet, einfach, aber alles was man braucht.

Negativpunkt ist die Nähe der Bahnlinie.. was uns aber bewusst war.

Inhaberin & Personal war super. Frühstück war gut. Sehr schöne Laube, bei der man bei schönem Wetter das Frühstück oder einfach da sein geniessen kann.

Leider führt die Bahnstrecke Bellinzona / Locarno direkt vor dem Hause vorbei, und die Unterkunft ist kurz vor dem Bahnhof, und da es viele Weichen hat, ist sehr lautes Quietschen unvermeidbar.

The location was great. Staff were quick to respond.

Cleanness could improve. A small fridge would be helpful. The extra charge for bed for our kid was a bit unnecessary given how much we had paid for the room.

Es war alles sehr schön und sehr gut und wir wurden sehr nett und freundlich empfangen.

Das Einzige: bei geöffneten Fenstern hörte man den Zugverkehr doch sehr gut.

We had a friendly welcome and felt very much at home. The room is beautifully renovated and has everything you need for a good overnight stay, e.g. excellent bed and air conditioning. Breakfast was enjoyable too.

Ein sehr gepflegtes kleines Hotel mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Hinter dem Haus hat es einen wunderbaren Gartenplatz zum Verweilen. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr herzlich und man wird bestens umsorgt.

Sehr schöner kleiner Garten mit Sitzgelegenheiten, sehr nahe am See / Zentrum. Schönes Zimmer mit kleinem Balkon.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Alles ist liebevoll und schön eingerichtet. Es ist unkompliziert. Ein wunderschöner Garten zum Verweilen steht zur Verfügung. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig und sehr fein. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Everything! I fully enjoyed my stay. A warm welcome, a sunny room and terrace, an extraordinary breakfast, kind hospitality and a quiet neighbourhood close to the lake. Highly recommended!

Lage, Frühstück und die Gastgeber Familie super, einzig ungewohnt die Nähe zur Bahnlinie. Klimaanlage und gut schallgedämmte Fenster waren sehr praktisch.

Kissen...für mich zu gross. Aber das ist sehr individuell und mekern auf hohem Niveau. Sonst war wirklich alles sehr schön.

Das Haus liegt an einer Bahnlinie. Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass vorbeifahrende Züge, je nach Lage des Zimmers, etwas stören können. Dafür gibt es keinen Strassenlärm!

Das Haus liegt direkt am Bahngleis. Dank der guten Fenster wurde aber der Schlaf nicht gestört.

Top Lage nahe See und Bahnhof. Obwohl direkt neben der Bahnlinie, die vorbeifahrenden Züge stören überhaupt nicht. Tolleses Frühstück in lauschigem Garten, lädt zum langen Verweilen ein. Schöne, persönliche Atmosphäre.

Das frühe Aufstehen: Man sollte sich bis 09.30h am Frühstücksbuffet bedient haben (schwierig für Langschläfer und Festivalbesucherinnen). Hat man sich allerdings am Buffet bedient, darf man "den ganzen Tag" im schönen Garten schlemmen und geniessen. Check-out um 10.30h

L'accoglienza e dei proprietari, la pulizia ottimale, l' ottima colazione in terrazza. Ideale anche in piena canicola perché ombreggiata con diversi alberi. Abbastanza vicino alla stazione, e a due passi dal lago.

Accueil chaleureux, tranquillité, emplacement , confort de la chambre, bonne literie, très propre, jardin arboré pour le petit déjeuner, excellent petit déjeuner frais. On recommande!

Excellent breakfast with ingredients from the garden. The home made pomelo marmalade was fantastic! I also liked how wooden features are incorporated in the room interior.

This was a very nice place to stay - comfortable bed, lovely breakfast & perfectly situated near the town, lake & train station. The hosts could not have been more helpful too.

The location is fantastic, a few minutes by foot to the train station, a few minutes to the lake and a short walk to the Piazza Grande and center of town. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and are fluent in several languages. The weather was good most mornings and we could enjoy the delicious breakfast outside in the lovely garden. The rooms are small but comfortable and modern.

Don't let the name put you off. There is a small, tidy butcher shop on the ground floor but most of the multi-story house has been turned into a B&B, including a spacious breakfast room and a lovely outdoor patio with lots of seating and potted plants. The room was tastefully painted with a soothing sage green, and the hallways and common areas are decorated with antique books and various shop paraphernalia, such as an old cash register, to add visual interest. The breakfast was very tasty, with freshly made fruit salad and local cheeses and meats. The hostess is dedicated to the hotel and her guests. Entrance is easy after hours with the lockbox. Outside, there's a small passage that will lead you to the other side of the tracks, so you can reach the lakeside promenade in less than five minutes.

Everything was good

The bed was very comfy, shower great, breakfast, drinks and evening meal in the garden all excellent. Hosts really friendly. Lovely walk along the lake into Locarno and very convenient for the train station. Would highly recommend.

It was all great, I am a light sleeper and the noise from the trains was very quiet and didn't disturb me at all.

After arriving in the late afternoon our host offered us drinks, one of which utilized the pompelmos grown in their garden. Delicious!!

Location is very central, family suite, lovely garden to relax in, air conditioning for hot summer days, they have a butcher downstairs, good breakfast, afternoon drinks and snacks, and you get the Ticino Ticket.

It is next to the train line so there is some train noise but closing the windows does help to mitigate this.

Excellent breakfast, beautiful garden, home made food and drinks available in the evening, exceptionally helpful staff.

Lack of a fridge in the room; lack of a sofa/coffee table in a room.

We stayed at the Meat & Bed hotel in Locarno from 12 to 14 August 2022. I highly recommend this hotel, for several reasons. It has an excellent location, very close to the train station and to the main attractions in Locarno. The rooms are cozy, clean and well-fitted. Breakfast is very tasteful, particularly when you enjoy it outside on the terrace. A special word must be said about the staff: Lilian, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until our departure. She helps create a warm and family-like atmosphere that made our stay all the more enjoyable. Don't miss the very refreshing drink she prepares with their home-made lime-based beverage.

Convenient location, short walk from train station. simple but comfortable rooms. Breakfast buffet offered a large selection. Owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome.
