Hospitable, comfortable and food was delicious. Great beds with a very homely feel to the place.

Stairs are a lot if you have mobility issues. Everything else was lovely

Everything about this place was great! I would rate them higher than ten if it were possible!! Hosts Mary and John went to great effort to insure that our stay with them felt like being at home. Highly recommend this guest house!!!

If this accommodation has availability reserve your room quickly! It’s beyond outstanding. We stayed here for 5 nights and chose to have breakfast each morning. Very comfortable rooms with lots of space and powerful showers. Fantastic no. This Home with lots of history has welcome at its core in every way. The owners Mary & John are extremely warm, welcoming and friendly. The generous breakfast was excellent with all types of home baked breads (you won’t find better anywhere) organic oats, bacon, sausages, eggs every way etc etc. We could hardly eat again until evening! Parking right outside the door is surrounded by flower pots and clever little sitting areas for sunny days. Inside has a beautiful breakfast room and a large very comfortable sitting room for wet days. Even as Irish people this accommodation blew us away. Additionally, Youghal has one of the most outstanding wide clean beaches with a wooden walkway running for many kilometres along it. Amazing for beach walks. The local scenery with sea views are iconic and breathtaking taking. After 5 nights we were fully recharged. Mary and John provided a superb experience. Look no further!

The lack of a lift and our late booking meant it was difficult to climb to the second floor room but next time we’ll book early for a first floor bedroom

John und Mary sind außergewöhnlich zuvorkommende und tun alles, um ihren Gästen einen komfortablen Aufenthalt zu garantieren. Wir würden mit vielen Tipps und Geschichten zur Umgebung versorgt.Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Das Bett war hervorragend. Das Zimmer war großzügig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Als es ungewöhnlich heiß wurde, stellte uns John sofort einen Lüfter zur Verfügung.Wir hatten kein Frühstück gebucht und können somit dazu keine Bewertung abgeben. Eine sehr empfehlenswerte Adresse für unseren zweitägigen Aufenthalt in dem sympathischen kleinen Ort.

Great location, great accommodation and great and super helpful hosts

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities, fridge and filtered water were provided, as well as plenty pillows etc. We visited during a hot spell, so were delighted to find a fan provided also. The welcome from John was very warm and genuine and plenty of information about the town and the attractions were provided.

We had a wonderful stay here. The accommodation is spacious, exceptionally clean, very comfortable and has a lovely, homely atmosphere. The breakfast was truly exceptional, everything was fresh, delicious and beautifully prepared. But what really made our stay special were our hosts, Mary and John. They were incredibly kind, warm and welcoming, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We would happily stay here again and can wholeheartedly recommend it!

Lovely couple John and Mary who made us feel like home. The location is convenient to walk to the town and to the beach. The room was tastefully decorated and well-maintained. Bed was very comfortable and room was equipped with all that you need plus a mini-fridge and kettle. Breakfast was just perfect - the cherry on top. Our little weekend getaway couldn't have been any better.

John and Mary were excellent and very hospitable hosts. Very welcoming and shared great local knowledge and recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. The breakfast was top class and delicious. I would recommend a stay the Avonmore House.

Everything was perfect, Mary and John were just fabulous hosts, so so nice and made sure our stay was beyond comfortable. The bed was so luxurious you'd fall asleep instantly and the bathroom facilities like the jacuzzi bathtub was fantastic. The breakfast was very fresh and Mary made sure we never ran out of anything, John makes his own bread and it's definitely up there with the nicest bread I've ever had in my 29 years of living. If you stay in Youghal this is hands down the best accommodation. :D

A very nice comfortable house in a good location within walking distance of everything including the Greenway. Parking on sight. We stayed in the deluxe room which had a lovely comfortable mattress with a nice bathroom and a super powerful shower. Our hosts Mary and John were very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast Would highly recommend this accommodation

Perfectie is dus benaderbaar, in één woord fantastisch. Warm onthaal, uiterst behulpzaam echtpaar, kamers ruim, gemoedelijk en van alle gemakken voorzien. Prima ontbijt

Sehr nette, hilfsbereite und freundliche Gastgeberin. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück mit selbstgemachtem Brot, Kuchen und Joghurtspezialitäten. Zimmer groß, sauber und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Hervorragende Betten bzw. Matratzen. Sehr gute, ruhige Lage. Da wir sehr früh zum Flughafen aufbrechen mussten, hat uns unsere Gastgeberin superleckere (auch auf Wunsch vegetarische) Sandwiches als Lunchpaket hergerichtet. Wir können das Avonmore House uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. The room was very clean and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a relaxing visit. Breakfast was absolutely superb, fresh, delicious, and a perfect start to the day. The lady who welcomed me was extremely kind and friendly, which made me feel right at home. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

Warmherziger Empfang und äußerst zuvorkommender Service, das Frühstück war exzellent und die Betten äußerst bequem - unsere absolute Empfehlung!

Durch die Lage an der Straße kann es morgens laut sein.

Väldigt vackert hus, lyxiga rum, utmärkt frukost, jättetrevliga värdar, bra p plats. Bättre kan det inte bli.

Die Gastgeber John und Mary waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war super lecker und der Frühstücksraum sehr hübsch eingerichtet. Man fühlte sich wie in einem kleinen Café. :-)
