Wat een geweldig hotel. Goed gelegen, zeer comfortabele kamer, goed ontbijt, goed restaurant, super vriendelijk en attent personeel. Privé parking en mooie tuin. Ingericht met oog voor detail, housekeeping doet een geweldige job. Ik kom zeker terug.

Great location, excellent communication re check in and parking, helpful and friendly staff, lovely room. Meals wet the best I have had in the UK - even adapted a meal to suit my taste.

Breathtaking views! You’re right in front of the ocean and waking up to that is priceless. Breakfast was amazing, great selection, very generous and tasty. The restaurant faces the sea as well.

The bedroom was cosy but a bit small, and the double bed was a bit small for two people.

Fantastic view of the beach. Binoculars provided to look across the bay and out to sea. Excellent selection of cooked breakfasts. Mini fridge for the milk. Fluffy robes provided in the room. Air-conditioning.

Our car suffered a bump in the carpark. I think that's an occupational hazard of taking a car to any Cornish coastal town. Absolutely not the hotel's fault, and the staff were very helpful about it. One odd thing was that the staff left the bedside lights on, each time they made up the room. Hardly a complaint, just a puzzle.

Our room was clean, comfortable and had all the usual tea, coffee making facilities. Breakfast was plentiful, well-cooked, using quality ingredients.

The water pressure was not great in our room but that was out of the hotels control i guess.

Our room was clean and bed comfortable but we didn't like being in the basement. Our view was restricted due to the cars and road and difficult to ventilate the bathroom.

Das Hotel liegt oberhalb eines großen Strandes und nicht im Zentrum von St.Ives. Es ist ruhig gelegen. Wir hatten das Gartenzimmer in Parterre. Das Zimmer war großzügig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Frühstücksraum hatte eine tolle Aussicht auf die Bucht. Es gab einen Garten mit schönen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Es gibt einen Hoteleigenen Parkplatz

Da das Zimmer in Parterre lag, war es Morgens ziemlich früh laut, da die Küche direkt nebenan lag. Geräusche und Gerüche war störend. Ich denke die Probleme haben die Zimmer mit Meerblick nicht.

Zimmer im Keller. Sehr kleines Fenster auf Höhe der Straße. Hohes Verkehrsaufkommen und deshalb sehr laut.

Absolutely loved the view from my room and the fantastic food I had while there. There was such beautiful art around the property and it was beautifully decorated.

At the time they had a problem with the alarm. Couldn’t be helped but the one during the night was very unsettling.

Flawless experience, best place to stay in St Ives! The air conditioning also helped so much during this heat wave!

Fantastic location for the beach and the centre. Parking available which is great in St Ives. We will definitely stay here again when we come back. Breakfast was delicious.

Room 7 is right next to reception and bar. Any conversations on the desk carry right into room. Window is right next to kitchen extractor fan - with entrance steps to property passing right by the window. We felt a bit caged. Air-con in room not working. No help offered with bags up and down the very steep garden steps at the back.

The seaview was phenomenal.

Weird comment but the chairs in the dinning area seemed too low in comparison to the heigh of the table. The decor was wonderful though.

We stayed in room 3 and the view over the beach from there was spectacular! The bedroom had a Smeg coffee machine and kettle, plus fridge with daily water bottles and milk. There was an iron and board in the room plus binoculars for two to appreciate the view! All the staff were young and very friendly.

Wonderful warm friendly comfortable place to stay in a great location. Highly recommend it. Breakfast was great with lots of options. The bed comfortable. Now they have a bar and dinner! The food was impressive.

We loved the breakfast but the warm order took some time. Worth waiting for but not as we expected.

Das Frühstück war hervorragend und die Zimmerausstattung war ebenfalls sehr gut. Die Zimmer in den oberen Stockwerken auf der Meerseite haben einen schönen Ausblick auf die Bucht. Die Zimmer 8 und 9 im UG sind nicht jedoch zu empfehlen.

Unser Zimmer befand sich im Untergeschoss (das war uns bekannt). Dadurch hatte es leider nur ein kleines Fenster richtung Durchgangsstraße, und direkt vor diesem Fenster befand sich der Parkplatz unseres Autos. Das war für uns aus der Beschreibung und den Bildern so nicht ersichtlich, und dafür war der Preis für das Zimmer absolut zu hoch. Hinzu kommt, dass wir erst irrtümlich ein anderes Zimmer zugewiesen bekommen haben. Dass kann passieren und ist kein Problem. Dass man dann aber dieses Zimmer in unserer Abwesenheit geräumt und neu vergeben hat, fanden wir schon befremdlich.

Did not address maintenance issues raised - air conditioner not working, toilet cistern running & noisy Housekeeping quite poor. No housekeeping on second day despite leaving notification on door as required. Had to ask next day to have it done & products replaced. Room 7 is very noisy being at reception & restaurant/bar entry. This place could be terrific with more care & attention to detail for guests staying. I have seen my sane comments on the reviews previously.

Room on lower ground had tiny window looking out onto pavement and busy road. Room felt quite stuffy and noisy.

Gute Lage und St. Ives wenige Minuten vom Zentrum. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und das Personal freundlich.

Die Fenster sind wahnsinnig schlecht isoliert, die Tür vom Bad hat ständig gepoltert wegen dem Durchzug und man hat von draußen alles gehört. Die Heizung hat zudem nicht funktioniert, wodurch es sehr kalt war. Durch die Bar / Restaurantbetrieb ist es abends eher laut. Das Frühstück war sehr gut aber lange Wartezeit.

Sehr geschmackvoll renoviertes B&B. Klein aber sehr fein. Unser Zimmer zur Straße war etwas laut aber alles andere war so schön, dass wir das gerne hingenommen haben. Die Bar ist toll mit einem wunderbaren Blick auf das Meer und das Frühstück war hervorragend. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen

Fabulous location overlooking the bay. Rooms are luxurious and spotlessly clean with everything you might need for your stay. Ample car parking to the rear. We had a relaxing one night stay with a lovely breakfast included.

Decor location and friendly

Locally run independent family business, they go that extra mile! Best stocked mini fridge I've ever come across, lovely massive bed and linen. Had a night away with my daughter, literally 24 hrs. Had the best time together, really helpful at reception. Played being tourists for the day in St ives, was brilliant.

Location couldn’t have been better. Views amazing and room whilst small was beautifully appointed. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast very tasty. Just a nice overall vibe.

Breakfast- the young girl was clearly new and inexperienced. Maybe someone else should have been with her on her first few days to show her the ropes. The juices and milk are all in coolers that you can’t see in so everyone has to handle and lift every bottle out to check what’s there. Also the staff can’t easily see when something needs replaced, whilst they look pretty, not very practical.

We did have a 40 minute wait for our breakfast but with a view that good it was less of an issue and the it was worth waiting for….

The location was good. The quality of the property, the service provided and the food were all outstanding.

The building is charming and our room had a view of the bay. The breakfast was very good.

Beware of the half-bottle of wine on the sideboard. I thought it was complimentary as there were 2 glasses next to it and no price affixed, and after all, it was only a half bottle. I was quite shocked when I was told that we had consumed £22 worth of wine. The morning after, I pointed out to the receptionist that, to all intents and purposes, the wine looked complimentary, so she phoned somebody in management to explain my frustration. They billed me nonetheless, as the management deemed that the price of the wine appeared somewhere in the menu. My suggestion is that in future, a price tag is put on the bottle to avoid any confusion. The hotel was good, but the wine left a bitter taste.

Having to pay for water in your room was disappointing as you don't pay for this in lower-rated accommodation, so didn't expect it in a five-star. We had no bath mat or hand towel in our room. Asked for these, only got a bath mat.

Speziell schöner Frühstücksraum !

Modern comfortable rooms, everything we could need really. We had a garden view room made up as a twin and the view over the garden was peaceful. Stunning sea views from the breakfast room. Breakfasts were fab with home made muesli and the nicest poached eggs on toast. Everyone was really friendly and we felt well looked after. Short walk to town or the beach. Free parking behind the hotel. This hotel has exciting plans for further refurbishment and to open a restaurant. We will look forward to returning following this! Thank you!

We stayed in room 9 which was at basement level, the room felt quite stuffy at times and got really hot during the night time. We didn’t want to turn on the air con as it was in need of a clean however there was a fan within the cupboard that we could use which was good. The hotel seems to be experiencing a bit of a fruit fly outbreak at the moment as there were loads within our room (we swatted as many as we could but they kept on coming!) and within the breakfast room. During breakfast it would have been good for the pastries, bread and yoghurts to have been covered to prevent the flies getting to them. It’s a shame as they looked very tasty but was quite off putting with all the flies landing on them. It would also have been nice to have a veggie alternative to the English breakfast however the eggs on toast and roasted tomatoes on toast we ordered was lovely. One last small thing we noticed was the mugs in the bedrooms get extremely hot and have no handles, by the time it’s cool enough to handle the drink is a little lukewarm.
