The unit itself was really good, had everything you would need. The terrace was a bonus. Recommended for people who are night owls.

The noise, so much partying going on directly in front of the unit. The first night which was a Saturday it went on until about 5 a.m., the next couple of nights it went until about 3. Perhaps younger like minded people would love it!!

Top Lage, super Ausstattung (die Dachterrasse!) und eine tolle Vermieterin - in deren Café unten im Haus es super leckeres Frühstück gibt!

Uns hat es nicht besonders gestört, dennoch könnten lärmempfindlichere Menschen, insbesondere am Wochenende, Stress mit der Geräuschkulisse aus der benachbarten Bar bekommen…

Leute mit leichtem Schlaf sollten wissen, dass unter der Wohnung ein Lokal ist, in dem bis 3 Uhr nachts gefeiert wird.

Een fijn goed onderhouden appartement met voldoende faciliteiten. Soepele toegang tot het appartement. Prima gelegen op wandelafstand van het station in voetgangerszone. Nabij winkels en horeca.

Nachtlawaai in het smalle straatje. Wifi was niet constant.

Die Lage inmitten von Alkmaar. Gut ausgestattete Küche, Dachterrasse ein Highlight bei Sonnenschein.

Am Wochenende ist mit Lärmbelästigung durch die Kneipe nebenan zu rechnen und zwar bis in die frühen Morgenstunden.

Die Lage ist genial, ca. 200 m vom Käsemarkt und auch alle anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind sehr gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Terrasse lädt bei sommerlichen Temperaturen zum Verweilen ein.

Die steile Treppe zum Apartment; und leider (!!) die Öffnungszeiten der Kneipe nebenan (Geräuschpegel bis ca. 3-4 Uhr nachts). Aufgrund der wohl dünnen Wände waren wir im Schlafzimmer fast live dabei.

Die Lage war überragend, mitten im schönen Zentrum von Alkmaar, die Wohnung selbst war komfortabel und der Kontakt sehr lieb

Sehr schönes Appartement! Nette Gastgeber! Die Lage war soweit super, allerdings kann ich sie nicht als super/perfekt Bewerten, da die Wohnung genau über einer Bar liegt! Leider haben wir 3 Tage kein Auge zu getan (waren über Ostern dort) da man das Gefühl hatte, dass die Leute von draußen auf der Straße IM Zimmer vor dem Bett standen! ( bis Morgens um 5) Es war wirklich mega laut! Sehr schade, denn alles andere war super! Aber wenn man nicht schlafen kann, dann nützt auch das nichts 🤷‍♀️ Würden wir nochmal dort übernachten?

We werden hartelijk ontvangen. Gezellig en schoon appartement in een leuk straatje in het centrum.

Het dakterras deed een beetje treurig aan. Een paar frisse plantjes was leuk geweest. Maar het is ook pas een van de eerste mooie dagen. Waarschijnlijk wordt dat nog aangepakt als de nachtvorst voorbij is.

Geweldige locatie. In de binnenstad, vlakbij de Waag en aan een gezellig straatje. Kamer gezellig. Bed prima

Een beetje lastig is misschien dat je de Hekelstraat niet kunt inrijden. Maar dat los je gemakkelijk op en het weegt zeker niet op tegen de pluspunten. Parkerentip : De Kwakel, 5 euro per dag.

Vriendelijke gastvrouw erg betrokken!

De geluidsoverlast in de nacht hier kan de gastvrouw niets aan doen maar houdt je soms uit je slaap.

Freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Das Apartment ist gemütlich, sauber und hat eine tolle zentrale Lage.

Ontzettend leuk appartementje in misschien wel de mooiste straat van Alkmaar. Perfect voorzien in alles wat we nodig hadden.

Een opmerkelijk nadeel is wel de kroeg en snackbar direct ernaast die op vrijdag en zaterdag nacht (vanaf +/- 01:00 tot 04:30) voor groepen luide mensen zorgen.

The street outside can be a bit noisy on a Saturday but hey that's part of the charm of the old city centre of Alkmaar!

Fijne accommodatie midden in de stad, dus overal dichtbij. Boven een leuke lunchroom!

Everything was perfect, the owners are really nice and caring people, they really made us feel welcome :) The location is also amazing, perfect to visit Alkmaar and the surrounding cities.

The nicest place a single person could ever stay.

BEAUTIFUL home in great location. Owners were so helpful and kind- thank you for our coffee. Would love to stay again. Home from home. Note to light sleepers, if staying of a weekend, it is very close to lively bars. This didn't bother us but worth noting.

Everything was perfect

Fijne lokatie in een leuk straatje dicht bij het centrum op loopafstand van het station 20 min.ps gaat ook een bus 6 min op afstand. Prima ontvangst in het Groenlokaal waar we tevens lekker geluncht en ontbeten hebben met dank aan de overburen waar een geweldig mooie kat je gezellig aan zat te staren .

Lucifers waren bijna op werd spannend of we onze soep op konden warmen🤣🤣

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung in Alkmaar! Die Lage ist einfach super – zentral und trotzdem ruhig. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich, und die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Besonders schön ist die Dachterrasse, perfekt zum Entspannen nach einem Tag in der Stadt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top, und die Vermieter sind unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Schön wäre eine zweite Bettdecke.

Die Wohnung war zentral gelegen und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Wie alles in Alkmaar wurde alles mit Liebe und Kreativität hergerichtet. Wir hatten sehr schöne Tage dort verlebt.

Eigentlich hat uns alles gefallen. Nur ein kleiner Tipp: Vielleicht könnte man einen kleinen Willkommensgruß mit Hinweisen zur Bedienung der Heizung usw. hinterlegen. Aber eine kurze Mail hat unsere Anfrage sofort beantwortet. Vielen Dank für alles.

Very welcoming and helpful hosts. Well equipped comfortable apartment which was centrally located. Enjoyed the peaceful outdoor rooftop space.

Die Lage ist sehr gut, auch für Fahrradtouren. Die Parkhäuser fußläufig erreichbar. Der Gastgeber war sehr unkompliziert und freundlich. Unser Frühstück (nur am 1.Tag danach Selbstverpflegung) sehr gut und reichhaltig. Wir würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen.

Das Bad war zweckmäßig, aber klein.

The apartment was located in the middle of the old town. Easy walk to all attractions. We were able to do a canal tour and visit all museums and restaurants on foot. We were early, so the host let us check in an hour early. Loved the rooftop terrace. Bed was comfortable, and the apartment had most amenities. This is a great alternative to staying in Amsterdam.

We were not aware of the parking situation until a couple of days prior to checking in. The daily parking garage is a 15-minute walk away. It is difficult when you must bring your luggage. The host does send this info, but not until the day before check-in. It would have been nice to have a smart TV so we could use our streaming accounts. It did not have a toaster. There are no instructions on how to start the gas stove. Night time was noisy, as there is a shop where people gather, which is open until 3 am. Bring ear plugs. There is no information provided about attractions, so come prepared.

Perfect on every way.

Location, apartment immaculate, comfortable. Loved sitting in the sun on the outdoor rooftop terrace. Bed was like sleeping in a cloud. Fantastic sleep. Loved listening to the chimes from the church at the back of the apartment.

The only thing missing and needs to have is a microwave to heat up food.

I had such a wonderful time in this apartment- everything was perfect . I felt very safe traveling here alone and was made to feel very welcome. The location was excellent and it was very convenient to drop off shopping or pick up a sweater. Alkmaar itself is wonderful, like a mini Amsterdam but without any of the bad parts. Already planning a return visit.

You sleep in the middle of the city centre with a beautiful view on the church. The appartement itself is perfectly cosy, and has everything you might need for your stay. If not, you walk downstairs and you are right in the shopping streets. At the café below you find great coffee and delicious food. The hosts are really kind and they make time for you to chat a bit. I would highly recommend staying at this bnb.

I didn't mind at all, but you do hear churchbells ringing once or twice a day. And I was warned about some noice from neighbouring clubs, but with earplugs I didn't hear a thing.

It is difficult to park as it is right in the center. But there are paid places around for parking very close to the accommodation.

The flat was beautiful, clean, stunning decoration, wonderful little touches. Free good coffee, wine available to purchase if you wish. Owners were amazing. Lovely. Helpful .

Sorry to say but the new bar next door made it a night mare. Wednesday night loud music until 2am. Meant we couldn't sit in the front room as groups of people outside. Great if you are traveling and like night life but I was there with my daughter. Had the bar not been there we would have loved it . Also note. Very steep stairs. Difficult to get large suitcase up.

Right in the middle of Alkmaar (so no, you cannot park by the front door ;)) A very warm welcome by the host and there was cake waiting for us. The apparment was very nice and has everything you need - including a rooftop terrace.

Great location (in the city centre in a lively street), nice interior, everything you need in the kitchen, lovely host, the greatest terrace of all. Would recommend

On the weekends the street is quite noisy and you will hear the people on the street during the night.

The apartment doesn't feel like a holiday let, it's attention to detail makes it feel very homely. The bed was very comfy and all necessities are there! As it's only a 2 minute walk to the cheese market, it's right where everything is and happens! We loved the stay and Annemarie and Chris are wonderful hosts!

The location although was not too far from the station and close to the centre, it was a bit noisy in the evening with the bar downstairs, other than that it was good

The place is so warm and cozy, full of plants and located in one of the best streets in alkmaar! Honestly i didn't expect this stay to be THIS GOOD and I'll definitely be back! Highly recommend :)

A lovely place in the heart of the old city within easy walking reach of the trains and buses. Cosy, clean, comfortable and with the advantage of a superb place to eat downstairs. Sitting on the roof terrace listening to the bells is just bliss.
