Lovely heritage building; good breakfast; friendly host, very clean; good common kitchen area; very quiet but I was the only guest

The bathrooms were chilly, but it was winter and it can’t be easy to heat such an old building

The location was handy apart from nearby streets closed due to a Minecraftovie being filmed.

For the price, it was very basic in comfort. Unisex toilets and showers away from the room. The breakfast was very standard in food offered for the price. The mattress seemed to be a much lower quality than others I have experienced in my travels. The towels could be softer too.

Ich hatte ein super niedliches Einzelzimmer. Alle Gemeinschaftsräume waren sauber und die Besitzer / das Personal sehr sympathisch. Würde direkt dort wieder übernachten.

The breakfast was a good size. We were asked what we wanted when we went to the dining room, so we had a freshly cooked breakfast delivered to our table.

Loved the building and the history! Rooms where very clean and the breakfast was great! Both hosts are very nice and gave us some great recommendations for food and activities. And daisy the outdoor cat was lovely!

Amazing old building, really pretty. Bed was comfy. Decent breakfast in the morning. Location is nice and quiet and easy to walk about town from. Fridge you can put anything to keep cool and a few biscuits for all to share. Shared pool table is very impressive too

Walls were a little thin and you can hear others moving about the hallways a bit. No aircon in the room, only a small fan so had to have the window open (where a bit spider was resting!)

Lovely service and cooked breakfast by the owners which was perfect before we headed out on the Pinnacles hike. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. Hot and cold water, tea etc available upstairs for drinks so didnt need to go down to the kitchen. Lovely garden for drinks. There is a fridge where you can store any provisions which was very handy. Shared bathrooms were not busy and they were clean.

Wonderful hosts and location!

Could consider getting some larger shampoo and conditioner bottles for the showers to be refilled instead of tbe small shampoo 2 in 1 bottle - often much better quality products, eco friendly and cheaper in the long run!

Wir wurden trotz eines Buchungsfehlers unsererseits abends noch aufgenommen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr hilfsbereit bei der Urlaubsplanung, kredenzen ein leckeres Frühstück in gemütlicher Atmosphäre und erzählen gerne etwas über das antike Hotel. Danke :-)

Barbara and Stu were kind, friendly and informative. They were happy to share all the things to do in area.

Endroit, charmant, très confortable et très propre! Les propriétaires sont très sympas et très arrangeants! Le petit déjeuner était copieux et varié. Le B&B est très bien placé pour explorer la péninsule de Coromandel! Nous recommandons chaleureusement cet hébergement 😃

A beautiful old building but presented with modern facilities. Stuart and Barbara are down to earth but efficient. A really nice place to stay

I suffered from a car accident, so I have no car to drive. On the day after the check-in, the boss picked me and my wife and daughter up to rent a car. Thinking of that my english is not, the boss help us explain sth to the car tental manager. In addition, I knew that Lady Bowen was the boss of the hotel about 150 years, so the hotel has a history of al least 150 years. Good condition, considerate service. Nice hotel choice if you go to Thames.

Super freundliches Ehepaar, welches das Hotel liebevoll führt. Leckeres Frühstück. Man fuehlt sich wie Zuhause.

The breakfast was delicious and just right for our quiet morning, relaxed in the garden area. The location is perfect near several tourist places and most importantly a few corners of restaurants for dinner. Stuart y Barbara are excellent hosts.

Wir sind super nett von Barbara and Stu empfangen worden. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, es eine gute Auswahl vorhanden. Es war sauber und das alte Haus hat richtig Flair. Der gemeinschaftliche Raum mit Billard, Schach und Sitzgelegenheiten ist super schön.

Es gibt 4 Toiletten und 3 Duschen für alle. Das war alles genau so beschrieben und damit bekannt. Es war immer etwas frei.
