We absolutely loved our stay here. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping back to a time when hospitality was done properly, with genuine care, quality, and charm. The property has a beautiful, timeless character that makes you instantly feel at home. The views are incredible, and the location is the best of both worlds: close enough to restaurants and everything you need, yet tucked away enough to feel completely removed from the bustle of everyday life. The bed and bedding were out of this world - we slept deeply, with no noise or light disturbances, and honestly could have stayed snuggled up all day. Our only regret was not booking a longer stay. Book at least a couple of nights because once you're there, you won't want to leave.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Even on a drizzly day, you can see the Shotover river and mountains right there. The decor and amenities in the room were really pretty and just thoughtful.

The location is convenient, about a 10–15 minute drive from central Queenstown, with easy parking right outside the room. The host was very friendly, responsive and helpful. The view over the gorge is absolutely beautiful. I especially recommend the breakfast. It’s NZD 30 per person, generous and absolutely worth it.

The room was a little cold in the morning as the central heating wasn't on during our stay, although the electric blanket kept the bed warm. There was also a slightly musty smell in the bathroom. Otherwise, everything was great.

The location above the Shotover Gorge with views to Coronet peak was stunning. The spa pool was hot and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The bed and the decor were lovely and the bathroom had a beautiful tub in addition to the walk in shower.

The view is amazing, the room was cleaned and Jennie was an amazing host.

Jennie was a very lovely and helpful host. Jacuzzi was fantastic in winter. We ordered continental breakfast, which Jennie brought to our room at 7:30 and beautifully presented, a must try!

I really love the accommodation, the place is so special sorrounded with nature that calms our soul. It is exceptional 11/10 this is the kind of holiday accommodation you need 💖 I highly recommend the property and will definitely come back 🫶

Amazing setting and great host

Beautiful scenery. Lovely room was really spacious, cozy, warm in winter, had everything you needed. It was all just perfect.

If I was being really picky and trying to find a fault which there really were none. The bottom of our rental struggled a little on the driveways (outside the accommodation) the bottom of the car would scrap on the gravels

This is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed in. The views are absolutely stunning, and waking up to the peaceful mornings here was one of the highlights of our Queenstown trip. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. The unit was spotless and had everything we needed. We were also pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch. The complimentary drinks, bottled water, and chocolates in the fridge were also greatly appreciated. Jennie was an exceptional host. Every morning at 7:30 AM, she personally delivered our continental breakfast, and it was honestly one of the best breakfasts we’ve had while traveling. It was our first time trying a continental breakfast, and everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. One of Jennie’s recommendations was to step outside at night for some stargazing. We’re so glad we listened because it became one of the most unforgettable moments of our trip—we were even lucky enough to see the Milky Way with our own eyes. The location is also excellent. It’s less than a 10-minute drive to Queenstown’s town center, making it perfect if you have a rental car, as we did. It offers the best of both worlds: close enough to everything, yet peaceful and away from the crowds. The Wi-Fi was fast, and the room was fully carpeted, which made it incredibly cozy during winter. The only thing that might make the stay even better would be a water dispenser, although Jennie assured us that New Zealand’s tap water is perfectly safe to drink—and it really is. Overall, this place exceeded all of our expectations. From the breathtaking views and peaceful atmosphere to the thoughtful hospitality and attention to detail, everything was simply perfect. We genuinely couldn’t find anything to fault and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The property was absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were spacious and cozy. The view was breathtaking. And at night, it gets dark enough to actually take photos of the milky way galaxy. The property is facing east so you also get a gorgeous view of the sunrise over the mountain and river, it lights up the property beautifully in the morning. And if you’re lucky, you might wake up to sheep grazing around! It was absolutely magical! Matt and Jennie really helpful with checking us in and giving great suggestions about what to do around town. They had detailed instructions and recommendations prepared. Everything was so smooth.

As you arrive, the lovely Jennie greeted us on arrival. The hosts were available when you needed them by text or a phone call. Great communication! Gorgeous property and accomodation overlooking the Shotover River where you can literally lie in your bed watching the ShotoverJet boats zooming around and doing 360 degree turns. Exciting for the participant’s too! Our room was just perfect with beautiful linen on the bed and lovely goodies that Jennie left in the bar fridge to enjoy. Should we have the chance to go back to NZ, I might book a room with the bath, as I love my bath. This room has a shower only. I had breakfast one morning as once I’d looked at photos, I couldn’t resist it and it was delicious! Take note that It does cost a further $30 per person on top of your accomodation charge. Loved watching sone snow on Cotonet Peak from the property and if you zoom in on your camera/phone, you may just be able to see cars driving up there! Loved the sheep and watching the California quails and the odd rabbit/hare! Listening to the birds chirping too. Canyon B and B is so close to down down Queenstown and Coronet Peak Ski Resort, Arrowtown and Ayrburn. We thoroughly enjoyed being out of town by 6 mins but close enough if we had to be there.

I had a wonderful night at Jennie's place. She is a very kind and welcoming host. The place is beautiful, and the room is tastefully decorated. The bedding is very comfortable and the surroundings are quiet and relaxing. Coffee/tea and snacks are provided which is really thoughtful. I would have loved to stay a few more nights!!

It’s absolutely beautiful, and in autumn it felt even more special. The room was very large and spacious, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The breakfast was definitely the highlight, it felt like being in a five star hotel. You can truly tell they care about their guests.

Everything is perfect!

Absolutely stunning views !! We spent a week in NZ and this was the best accomodation we managed to book. Jennie is a wonderful host, very welcoming and responsive. Room was clean, had everything we needed. Will definitely return if we visit QT again.

Tea/Coffee was provided which definitely helped in the morning before starting our day. The room was very clean and Jennie was just a message away incase we needed anything.

As an afterthought, we should have asked for firmer pillows :)

Far away from Queenstown, it's not confortable if you want to visit the city.

Everything about the Canyons is delightful. It's less than 10 minutes drive from Queenstown, but that's enough to get away from light pollution, so watching the stars come out at night as it got darker (lying in the jacuzzi) was a really gorgeous experience. Lots of lovely little touches, view of the Shotover river, Jennie the owner is delightful etc etc. Will definitely be going back, will try winter next time as would be very cosy and the views would be even more stunning.

The location and view were stunning! Overlooking the canyon, river and mountains. The grounds were so peaceful and pretty and there was lots of space to hang out and relax. It was a short drive to town and the airport. The room was beautiful and comfy. The B and B owner was absolutely wonderful.

Such a beautiful property to relax and unwind. Jennie is very accommodating and provides a wonderful friendly service. The views and breakfasts are amazing. Everything was so thoughtful and beautifully presented. So close to QT only 4 minutes down the road but you feel miles away from the crowds. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Love the little bars up the road for dinners. Spotted a wild deer in the orchard just meandering around the plum tree! Adorable.

Sehr schöne Lage mit Blick auf den Shotover River. Schönes, gut ausgestattetes Zimmer mit großer Dusche im Bad. Im Kühlschrank gab es ein paar kostenlose Snacks. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und mit Liebe zubereitet. Unsere Gastgeberin Jennie war sehr nett und hilfsbereit, gleichzeitig aber unaufdringlich. Den Jacuzzi haben wir nicht genutzt.

Kritisieren kann man hier nichts. Eine Möglichkeit zum Wäschwaschen wäre ein Vorschlag zur Verbesserung.

Everything- the location is amazing, just a stone’s throw out of the business of the town, so you feel a little secluded. A very luxurious feel to the property. Very friendly and helpful owners who are on hand if needed. Clear access instructions and a wonderful hot tub with great views of the Milky Way. This was the best place we stayed in our month long travels in NZ.

Everything. Jenny is an excellent host. The room, deck, gardens, hot tub and view were all superb. We had sunshine too. Meeting the sheep was also fun. Oh, and the breakfast spread was more than we could manage and the presentation was stylish.

The canyons is the perfect place to enjoy Queenstown - an easy drive into town but feels like a world away. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we particularly loved the outdoor space and our view of the Shotover River. Jennie was a wonderful host who provided great recommendations.

The property was exceptional. You could see a river and sunrise right from your room. The gardens were so pretty to walk in. The host so gracious and welcoming. We used the hot tub, it was very well heated, so private and secure and comes with exceptional view
