Ferry House

Beautiful location

We loved our first time glamping at The Ferry House. 3 tents on a large grassy area, a modern well kept bathroom, comfortable beds, kettle, light, heater, towels and plenty of duvets and blankets provided. Despite the weather being quite wet, we had a cozy time and wouldn't hesitate to return. Lisa was a wonderful, friendly host and the location is perfect to explore this very interesting and beautiful part of Ireland.

There was nothing to dislike but a hairdryer in the bathroom would make a nice addition.

One of the lamps didn't work & the cold water tap was slowly running, both didn't really bother us at all just a notice.

Les tentes son adorables et correctement équipées. Les nuits dont paisibles et il est possible de contempler le ciel étoilé autour d’un feu.

Un chauffage dans la tente aurait ajouté un confort supplémentaire d’autant plus que les nuits sont fraiches en Irlande

Spacious room in a rural area. Very peaceful setting, ideal for relaxing. Comfortable bed.

The bathroom could use an exhaust fan since it doesn't have any windows.

I had an absolute wonderful and relaxed stay in one of the tents. Very comfortable & beautiful. The stars were amazing. Wonderful welcome, good facilities, clean showers & toilets close by. Bottle of water on arrival, kettle & tea.

Un lieu au calme, en pleine nature, Lisa nous a accueilli avec ses sourires et beaucoup de convivialité. Nous avons passé une bonne soirée et nous gardons un bon souvenir de notre passage.

Lisa was so accommodating. My children really wanted to toast marshmallows and she lit the firepit and provided the big marshmallows for us. They were delighted. Also great to have electricity in the tents and the beds were very comfortable.

Greeted by host on arrival. Shower and toilet facilities are close to yurt and are clean and well kept Yurt was in good condition and all beds were made up well. Basket of towels and basket of blankets provided

Not even a basic camper's kitchen provided so absolutely no opportunity to self cater. Host, Lisa, did put milk in her fridge for us and dropped it out to the yurt in the morning. I received an email from the property, AFTER I had made my non-refundable, non transferable, no cancellation reservation ,informing me that "one" of the access bridges to the property is closed. It is THE bridge to the town that the property is listed as being 3km from. The bridge will remain closed until the end of August 2026, meaning what should have been a less than 5minute drive to New Ross is now a FORTY minute drive. There are other towns and villages in the opposite direction, but the closest is 15-20 minutes drive away. I strongly believe this should be pointed out to guests BEFORE payment was taken.

The bridge nearby was closed so it took us a long time to get to New Ross, rather than the normal 10 minutes. This was a bit of a nuisance.

Nagyon nagyon kedvesek, barátságosak voltak a házigazdák, a sátor kényelmes volt és dekoratív, valamint tiszta. Nagyon jól éreztük itt magunkat. Ha visszatérünk Írországba, ide biztosan foglalunk szállást. Ajánlom jó szívvel!

I loved everything about my stay. The tent was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable, and the peaceful countryside location made it the perfect place to relax and switch off. I felt completely connected to nature, especially being surrounded by the horses. Lisa, her daughter and her dad were incredibly kind and welcoming and made me feel completely at home. It was such a special experience, and I would happily stay again.

If I must say something I wish the room had a fridge otherwise it was great

Absolutly amazing place!

It’s a special place! The room is cosy, has everything what you need, there is a small kettle with a choice of tea, parking, a heater, some shelves and a very kind and communicative owner! Last but not least - very close to New Ross, a must see town with an interesting history.

The shower cabin is a bit small, but totally manageable !

Der Raum ist ziemlich dunkel und es gibt nur einen Stuhl (und zusätzlich einen tiefen Sessel), was für das gemeinsame Frühstück etwas unpraktisch war.

Great hosts- welcomed on arrival. Even provided garage for our motorbikes - very useful . Short walk to great pub for food.

Lack of facilities such as no mini fridge ,no TV, no extra covers and room was cold, it did have an electric heater which I am sorry I did not leave on while we slept, but felt it was too dangerous, mattress was v uncomfortable , only 2 chairs , 2 mugs 2 glasses but (3 people)

Appreciated the fresh milk for tea making. Great to chat with John.

Great location if you drive, not far from town. Lovely and cosy family property surrounded by nature in the middle of the countryside. Good facilities and friendly staff.

Overall everything was great. But if I have to say something I would just suggest to have a small fridge and a new kettle in the room.

Freezing Cold, No TV. Could Feel Springs on Mattress.

We arrived later than planed , Check in was warm and fast, perfect. The appartment we stayed for one night had all you need, hot shower, good bed. ITS a short drive to the next Pub or the city but for a walk in the evening I can't recommend. So good place to stay when you are on a roadtrip and looking for a good value stay.

Watch out when you enter the gate by car, nothing for a RAM but for normal cars no Problem

Ubicación muy buena, muy buena para desconectar sin.problema, y muy cerca de New ross para conectar con la ciudad. Excelente trato por parte de Lisa, muy atenta a cualquier tema en el que pueda ayudar y aconsejar . Las habitaciones, dentro de una zona verde muy cuidada

The host was very kind and friendly, and checked in with us after our arrival.

A sign in the property would help to confirm we arrived at the right place. I had bad cell service and couldn't bring up the online photos to compare, so we were not sure until the cat (Maple!) seemed to know her way around and drew our attention to a door with a key in it, so we let ourselves inside and found a booklet with the "Ferry House" logo on it.
