I would suggest that towels be changed daily instead of using the same towel for two days consecutively which i suggested to the housekeeping lady and was received well.One day there were guests who came as a group ,they were noisy the whole night until around 3am in the morning who kept knocking at my door looking for their friends.I guess the establishment should have a cut off time for noise so other guests are not disturbed

Stayed at 54 Brecher for a recent work trip to Pretoria. John and the rest of the staff were responsive, courteous, and safety oriented. They went out of their way to make sure my visit was a pleasant one. Laundry is available on request. Located in Sunnyside/Arcadia, the lodge is a five-minute walk from Loftus Versfeld Stadium and shopping complex. 54 Brecher is a budget friendly option for individual travelers and families alike.

The staff are absolutely brilliant!! Best service I've received in a long time, no matter the time of day or night, 24/7!!

The bathroom light is on a timer which switches off whilst you are in the shower, then you have to get out of the shower for the motion detector to switch them on again. There is no bedlamp to switch lights off whilst in bed as well as to have the main lights off so as not to disturb the rest of the family whilst reading at night.

The was nothing I like about that place🤞the was too much air getting in the room under the door because the was big space btwn the door n the floor so I even call guy at the reception to come n c n ask if there's anad room or if he can give me the heater. The bed n the headboard was worse.

That the time I come for check in get that I have to move another place and that place on the second day there was no water even for drinking they say we must come and get 20 litre water for bathing only fir drinking they say they will give us we wait until we sleep

The bed was shit.

The bathroom has broken shower, no toilet roll holder and no coffee or cups. You get one towel. No aircon, just a fan. The security staff conversation right infront of you room main window with scream talk to each other from 17:00 untill 23:15 waking you with the main bed right next to that window. Very risky place for children with 2 open pools next to the building. The parking is limited with security or owner parking on the only other availeble space. High pricing compared to most other compared.

The room smelled very stuffy. There was no kitchenette. We had to eat in bed. The tv had very limited channels. I had to connect my own Netflix. The electricity went off on Friday whilst we were watching a movie. And there were no hot water to shower on Saturday and Sunday. The shower couldn't close properly so the floor was wet while showering.

Shower head is skewed so water ends up being released on the floor since it's just a curtain, utensils only available upon request and nothing appealing PLUS plastic spoons, no basic things such coffee, tea, sugar. You don't have your own gate key so always have to ask the receptionist, makes it inconvenient at night when you have to be out, especially seeing that you have to call at times. Oh, I also saw a cockroach on the bed in the morning

The host was extremely helpful, he made sure all our requirements are met. The stay was made 10 times better. The place was super clean and had even cleaner pools. The bathroom was fully equipped. The Area was super safe and had controlled access. If you're looking for sign weather to confirm the booking or not,this is it. The place is worth it and is very pleasant to stay at. I will definitely visit again.

I have been a regular visitor to the guest house, but my recent stay was disappointing. The room was not cleaned, the bed and sliding door were broken, and there was no TV or WiFi. Check-in was scheduled for 15:00, but the room was still undergoing maintenance when I arrived. On Friday afternoon, we had to stand at the gate in the dark, and the staff's explanation of a non-functional camera and that was unacceptable. As this was my fourth visit, I had grown accustomed to a welcoming staff and high standards of service, particularly with regards to housekeeping and amenities. Unfortunately, my recent experience fell short of expectations, and I will not be returning to the guest house.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The staff is really friendly and accommodating, always willing to assist and make us feel welcomed. However, the bed was quite uncomfortable, which affected my sleep. With a more comfortable mattress, the experience would be much better.
