Absolutely amazing B&B. The best one we have stayed in during our 2 week road trip around the South Island. Gorgeous hosts and the guest room beautiful. Incredible attention to detail and lovely home. Even the toiletries were beautiful in the fabulous bathroom. Incredible comfy bed.

This is a gorgeous place to stay! You feel like you are out in the country but you are quite close to town! Clare and Sabin are wonderful hosts! We loved our stay with them!

There is nothing not to like about the property!

Everything! Our room was wonderfully appointed with all the amenities. The surrounding were serene. Clare & Sabin were the most incredible hosts, making us feel so welcomed & comfortable. Vinnie added the perfect touch of home.

Only trouble was that we couldn’t stay longer!!

Just far enough out of town but not too far, lovely and peaceful for the weary traveller to rest up. Beautiful gardens, couldn’t fault the room and facilities, and the owners couldn’t do enough for us.

Everything ok at Whiteacres, the owners are very nice and everything is perfect at this place. Only one thing: be aware, that the B&B is 2 ks outside the center of Invercargill, but driving around is very easy.

Beautiful setting with a lovely garden and view. The host were extremely welcoming. Our room was decorated so tastefully and very well appointed. We had everything and some provided that made for an incredibly comfortable stay.

Clare and Sabin welcomed us to their home and were the most lovely hosts. It felt like we were visiting family and the kids loved hanging out with the animals and exploring the grounds. Nothing was too much trouble, and despite the kitchen being under renovation, our hosts did their utmost best to make our stay comfortable with bbq and supplying anything we needed. When our kids noticed some popcorn in the living room, Clare didn't hesitate to give it to us and other treats. The house itself is a warm and cosy cottage, beautifully styled with many personal touches that only a homeowner can provide. We loved the little tea and coffee nook in each bedroom which even came with cookies. Plenty of towels and toiletries in each bathroom. Oh and simple breakfast is provided too. So glad we added Invercargill to our itinerary and to cross paths with Whiteacres.

Very nice accomodation in a quiet spot just out of town. Warm and cosy, nice big comfy bed, wonderful accomodating hosts. Breakfast was lovely with homemade bread, butter and jam, good quality cereals, and hot drink selection. Welcome beer and evening hospitality were most appreciated! Many thanks Clare and Sabin.

A large, lovely house with something interesting to look at everywhere: plants, knickknacks, pictures, etc. Very quiet. Delicious homemade cookies and breakfast.

We didn't realise we'd be renting a room within a larger house. Since we are VERY Covid-careful, that made us a little nervous and not feeling like we could eat a takeaway dinner in our room was a bit of a pain.

A fantastic property in a quiet rural setting, but still only a short drive to shops, restaurants, parks and other attractions The hosts were extremely friendly and catered for our every need, including gluten and dairy free breakfast options. Highly recommended!

Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at Whiteacres. And what a treat it was. The gardens were so beautiful & it was rather pleasant having a wine in the outdoor area. The bedrooms were so elegantly furnished and had good quality bed linen. The breakfast, served in the kitchen, overlooked the garden & horse paddocks. The breakfast was excellent & appreciated. Thank you Claire & Sabin for allowing us to stay in your home.

A wonderful stay with very welcoming hosts. Clare offered us tea, cheese & crackers on our arrival and we relaxed in the sun, surrounded by the beautiful gardens. Breakfast was relaxed & informal around the kitchen table, a nice way to eat & chat with Sabin, who gave us good tips for our trip into the Catlins. Overall a very pleasant experience, wonderful facilities, not far from town but still giving the country feel. Loved it 🥰

Location, room, gardens, convenience to Invercargill, hosts, breakfast and their dog Vinnie. In a beautiful setting with thoroughbred horses, sheep and lots of things to do nearby. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the wonderful cottage setting for our room. Take time to visit Bluff and have some of the best oysters of your life, and we live in New England on the ocean!

We booked the two rooms with ensuites and they had an adjoining door which we could unlock. The rooms are comfortable and clean with beautiful decor. Our hosts Clare and Sabin were very welcoming and Clare made a delicious breakfast each morning. The setting of this B&B is very beautiful it is just 5 mins from Invercargill in a rural area, with a wonderful garden and it is peaceful and we slept well. Ensuites are lovely. I can’t fault this stay it was perfect and I hope we will be able to stay again when we visit Invercargill next.

We loved the accommodation, lovely decor and a homely feel. Beautiful house and gardens and close to Invercargill. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the bath tub. Breakfast was most delicious!!

The uniqueness of a semi-rural environment close to town. The rooms and facilities available to us were comfortably furnished and homely. We felt very at home. The garden was beautiful and it was so relaxing to sit outside and watch nature around d us.

We don't usually stay in B&B but were glad we stayed at Whiteacres. The property is on the outskirts of Invercargill and the grounds and gardens are lovely. Our hosts, Claire and Sabin, were very welcoming and helpful. The area is very quiet. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast was great and held in the kitchen looking out onto the lovely garden and countryside.

Clare could not have been a more gracious and helpful hostess. White Acres is a beautiful and serene respite, perfect for every kind of getaway, including after an unplanned hospital stay. The accommodations are most comfortable and the gardens are exceptionally lovely. We were most grateful for our host's care and generosity.

Room and accomodation were beautiful. There was a stunning garden to walk around. I had a wonderful short stay here and will absolutely stay here again and recommend it to people travelling this way

Nothing really and discovering how we could really survive without a tv in our bedroom for one night.

An amazing, beautiful house and gardens. A little gem in a peaceful setting. Our room was extremely comfortable with lots of delightful touches such as a jar of biscuits, several different teas to choose from and a fridge if we needed to keep anything chilled. Breakfast was lovely with home made banana loaf. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here, we think it is the nicest accommodation we have found on our visit to New Zealand.

Beautiful location and horses

Beautiful semi-rural location with wonderful gardens, horses and the lovely dog dog, Vinny. Our room was magnificently decorated with period furniture and art pieces. Fabulous newly renovated bathroom finished the accommodation. Clare and Sabin were so welcoming and it was like visiting old friends. Superb breakfast with home made bread,muffins and crab apple jelly.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay, the park is beautiful. The entertainment was brilliant the kids loved it. We wanted to book for next year and Ellie was so helpful and found the right accommodation for us, we are looking forward to coming back again.

We drove into the lush green entrance and was given the best welcoming party ever! The cutest doggo named Vinny. Claire the host then showed us into her home and the peaceful garden she tends to creating the perfect getaway. The photoes are not the true representation of reality. Its better with your own eyes.

Our fantastic, friendly hosts have a beautiful home. They made us most welcome. The room was extremely comfortable, beautiful bathrobes were provided as the private bathroom was across the hall.

Location good for day excursions to The Catlins and Fiordlands. Riverton was a nice day trip especially seeing the dolphins. Lovely friendly hosts and Vinnie the dog. Relaxing.
