Reviewed Sep 15, 2026I was unfortunately involved in a scooter accident during the final few days of my holiday, and the hosts were absolutely wonderful. They regularly checked in on me to make sure I was okay and had plenty to eat and drink. They even drove me to a local medical centre free of charge, waited with me while I received treatment, and then brought me safely back to the accommodation. Their kindness and care meant so much during a difficult time. I couldn’t recommend this place more. it’s a truly lovely, family-run hotel with incredibly thoughtful hosts.

L'aeroporto è davvero a 5 minuti.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026It was a very clean en-suite room, and I had a comfortable night’s sleep after a long, exhausting train journey and navigating Colombo’s traffic. The family was welcoming, and the room was spotless. The huge bed, tea and coffee facilities, and air conditioning were all much appreciated.
The water became tepid quickly, and the hair dryer had a European plug, so I wasn’t able to use it. The towels could have been softer and a bit more varied, and a small fridge would have been a nice addition. That said, I can’t really complain; it served my needs perfectly well for a one-night stay.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026Absolutely great experience! We only stayed for one night before an early flight out of Colombo, and this accommodation was perfect for exactly that. Its location is incredibly convenient, being close to the airport while still providing a comfortable and relaxing place to rest before or after a flight. The hosts were absolutely lovely. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel genuinely cared for. They were incredibly hospitable, friendly, and spoke excellent English, which made everything very easy and comfortable. The room had everything we needed for our stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and all the necessary amenities were provided. After a long trip, it was exactly the kind of place where you can properly relax and recharge. The hosts also offer an airport transfer service, which is a great option. Our flight was very early in the morning, so we ended up using PickMe instead, which was quick and easy to arrange from the accommodation. Overall, this is excellent value for money and a fantastic choice if you're looking for a convenient location near the airport without compromising on comfort or hospitality. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to other travellers.

Reviewed May 18, 2026We arrived at the place in the evening and left very early in the morning for our flight. The room was pristine and much better than we expected — modern, very spacious, and equipped with a comfortable bed and nice pillows. If we need accommodation near the airport again, we would definitely stay here.

Reviewed Apr 21, 2026We stayed here for 2 nights (our first and last night) due to its convenient location. The family who runs it were really helpful, they even offered luggage storage for us throughout the week (we had our scuba diving equipment with us, which we didn't need to tour Sri Lanka). They also provided a convenient early morning transfer to the airport on the last day, which was really helpful due to the time (4am!) and heavy bags. Communication before our arrival was great via WhatsApp, answering all our questions (not necessarily relating our stay, but general holiday queries). Complimentary tea, coffee and water was also provided. We really appreciated the convenience of Agasthi and would stay here again if needed!
