Houseboat-Amsterdam

The location was great for us. It’s clean and nicely decorated. Very comfortable.

We were disappointed that there’s another houseboat behind. That property is also rented so you have people looking in the windows. There isn’t any place to sit looking out at the water. No facial tissue or a hand towel for the toilet sink.

Die Lage ist sehr gut, nur wenige Minuten bis zum Stadtzentrum. Der Bahnhof ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Ausstattung ist gut Ideal für einen Kurzurlaub in Am.

Die Küchenausstattung könnte etwas besser sein. Der Preis war leider zu unserem Termin viel zu hoch, es war wohl Messe.

Zeer dicht bij het actieve centrum. En leuk onderkomen.

Dat de buren die ook in een boot direct naast de betreffende boot slapen, over de gehuurde boot moeten om bij hun slaapplaats te komen. Dit is erg gehorig. Wij hadden de pech dat dat eerst midden in de nacht was en daarna heel vroeg in de ochtend.

Great location, able to walk to central area and close to lots of attractions, restaurants, bars, shops, transport. Spacious accommodation, great shower, comfy beds and great views.

Convenient location

Some of the facilities were very average. The clothes rack, the fridge, laundry, kettle. They definitely need to refresh and replace the items listed.

Great location. Interesting staying in a houseboat.

It was hot. There is air conditioning in the loft and a portable one in the living room. The bedroom has a fan but it’s hot if you’re an American there in the summer. There’s also no place to sit outside and see the water. There’s an outdoor spot to see the street.

Our stay in the house was quite pleasant. The property is well-maintained and well-equipped.

The only problem inside was the humidity in the downstairs bedroom. The sheets were damp, and we woke up with wet hair. The location of the boat, however, leaves much to be desired. It doesn't seem at all safe and is badly frequented. The surrounding area is neglected in some places, like a landfill. Finally, after paying €50 for parking to leave our car safely, we also had a broken window. Terrible value for money. Paid parking was the first on the property’s recommended list, against the wall in front of the house boat “in a secure, enclosed space monitored by neighbors!” There was absolutely nothing in the car in sight. We know perfectly well that you can’t leave anythingh in sight if you want to avoid unpleasant surprises! We absolutely don’t blame the property for this, even though the host was immediately notified on the incident simply to find out Who could help us to have the glass on the seats removed. The replay was:- I am not close.

Absolutely amazing place. I was initially disappointed that we couldn't find a great place in Jordaan but this location was perfect. It was an incredible experience and my teens will always remember staying in the upstairs sunroom. We loved having the kitchen and grocery store within easy walking distance. We only purchased one restaurant meal while we were there. Gorgeous views. We highly recommend.

Extremely clean, comfortable, and private. It felt bigger than the photos, and the kitchen/living space had a nice couch + seating area. The location was a 5 min walk to cafes and the busier town center - very quiet and close to anything you need. Coffee/tea/toiletries were provided, has all the basics. You can walk to the row of houseboats from 2 entrances (one entrance directly in front of this address), and Uber/Bolt found the location for pick-up easily as well. Great communication from the host. Would definitely recommend this houseboat!

Lage zentral, super, alles zu Fuss erreichbar, romantisch, tolle Aussicht,.. Einweisung hat super geklappt. Parkhaus in der Nähe. Besitzer erreichbar und sehr freundlich.

A localização é excelente! Perto da estação central (10’ a pé) e perto das principais atrações da cidade. Mesmo central é muito calmo e confortável. Tem tudo o que é necessário para cozinhar . Somos 2 casais maduros e Adoramos a estadia. Óptimas instruções e contacto com o proprietário!

Gostei de tudo. Importante saber que o segundo quarto é mais pequeno e tem acesso por uma escada um pouco íngreme. Em compensação tem uma vista fabulosa para o rio.

Die Lage ist Top, die Wohnfläche ist für 3 Leute optimal! Küchenausstattung und Badezimmer war ausreichend. Die Heizung hat tadellos funktioniert, es war genug Warmwasser vorhanden!

Die Stufen um ins Hausboot zu gelangen sind sehr schmal und man muss auf den Abstand zwischen Boot und Steg achten . Die Stufen um ins obere Schlafzimmer zu gelangen sind sehr steil und schmal, aber wahrscheinlich für Amsterdamer Verhältnisse normal :-)

Great location and place was as advertised- comfortable lodging and worked great for 2 couples.

Elevated room was a bit awkward with little room to put suitcase- but it’s a houseboat, so we understand things can be tight.

Great cozy place in the very center!

This was a great place to stay! Lovely view on the water, near Central train station, and a quiet peaceful location. I have been to Amsterdam a number of times and this is probably the best place I've stayed overall in the city.

There really was nothing I didn't like. We had absolutely everything we needed and I would certainly stay here again.

Super emplacement (en face du siege de Booking) certes un peu proche d'un boulevard mais près de la gare et du centre ville. Bien chauffé et confortable pour 4.

quelques manques pour faire la cuisine. un four mais pas de plat. pas de saladier. manque dans l'entrée un porte-manteau ,un endroit pour mettre les chaussures. proche de la route si vous avez le sommeil léger.

Great place to stay in Amsterdam, the location is perfect and the boat is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Responsive and helpful host.

Close to the station yet out of it enough to be quiet at night. The boat is lovely and quirky and the instructions on arrival were perfect. There are some small maintenance items that need attention and perhaps some new bedding, but overall it was good and we enjoyed our stay.

Upper level bedroom accessed by steep ladder-style stairs with limited railings making them feel unsafe especially for moving luggage or accessing lower level during the night. Some damage needing repair. Little items missing like a plug for the sink.

Sehr einfache, schon etwas heruntergekommene Ausstattung. Die Bettwäsche wurde in der Kammer getrocknet, war verwaschen und hat unangenehm gestockt gerochen. Die Wand zum Nachbarn war nur mit sichtbarer Dämmwolle abgetrennt, die Schrauben der Fensterscharniere waren alle locker und die Schränke waren noch gefüllt mit Kosmetikartikeln der Vorgänger. Der Preis ist für dieses Sammelsurium an abgewrackten Möbeln und muffiger Bettwäsche viel, viel zu hoch.

Literie très confortable. Très joli salon avec fauteuils pivotants Parfaitement situé pour la visite de la ville.

Barre de douche cassée. Climatisation en haut qui fonctionne seulement en intermittence avec un énorme bruit, pour dormir c'est compliqué. Heureusement la deuxième nuit nous avons perdu 10 degrés donc plus besoin de la Climatisation pour dormir. L'appartement n'a la Climatisation qu'en haut dans la chambre bocal (heureusement car nous y étions avec seulement 28 degrés mais c'était un four). Je pensais que la chambre du haut avait accès sur la péniche (romantique) mais ce n'était pas le cas. L'appartement sentait fortement les égouts dans les toilettes. Pour le prix (852€ pour 2 nuits) je suis un peu déçue

It was clean and centrally located

The steps to the upstairs were very thin. If the back was removed and steps were wider it would be safer, especially for older people.

Location is great. Quiet area. Staying somewhere different.

Upstairs bedroom was small. No place to put your bags or place items. With four adults and four suitcases, cases spread to the lower area. The steep stairs up to the bedroom were “exciting”. Banged my head once on the porthole leading up.

A 12minute walk from the train station, staying on a boat with a fairly secluded outside space, what's not to like! There is a well stocked Jumbo supermarket, 15 mins walk. Space outside to park hired bikes. All water, heating and air con worked flawlessly. This is not a luxury destination, but it is a clean, well appointed, good value option for folk that fend for themselves. All communication with Jeffrey was prompt and polite.

I bumped my head on the hatch leading to the upstairs bedroom more than once, my own fault I suppose. Some padding on the edge would have helped.

Absolutely spotless and quite close to the centre. It would have been absolutely amazing if there was a little outside space to look over the river. But the street outlook at the outdoor space was fine.

Rockwool insulation behind the curtain as you walked in to the space. Only as it can cause some skin itching problems for people with sensitive skin. I know there’s a need for soundproofing and insulation but maybe there could be a better solution. And maybe the memory foam mattresses and pillows. If there was a way to rectify this I can’t see anything else wrong with this lovely houseboat. I would stay again even if this wasn’t changed thinking about it.

We loved our stay at the houseboat! The host was great, the location was amazing, and the houseboat itself was wonderful. Extremely clean, very well appointed, and close to everything. We loved our stay here!

Everything was great!

Location was great, 12 minute walk to Centraal Station. The boat was comfy and the view from the upper bedroom at night was spectacular!

Could have used a few finishing touches like hand towel and soap in the toilet area, trash can in the shower room, lamp in the bedroom etc. Minor details only.

Loved the location. Was very central. Perfect to get to places easily. Disliked how scared I was to drop the key in the canal when I used it for the door haha. But that's my only issue with the place. It was very nice.

We had a lovely stay at Jeffrey's houseboat. A very unique experience for staying in Amsterdam. Excellent location for accessing train station. Had all the amenities we needed. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and washing machine came in handy as we've been traveling for some time.

The houseboat matched the listing and was a cool, fun way to spend a few days away with my youngest child. Everything was clean and well maintained and there was everything there that we needed. The location was good as well because it was just far enough out of the noisy centre, but the centre of town was an easy, quick walk away. Also well located for the zoo.

Nice view, everything is there. Very cooperative guy.

Houseboat was different which made it interesting. Location was fantastic. Heating worked well and hot water etc.

Bedding - especially the pillows were not comfy.

This houseboat was very nice and clean. The location was very close to the train station which was a plus. Beds and furniture were very comfy.

The stairs going into the house were very slim, not wide. The stairs to the loft were also very steep, but we managed. The 2 white stands by the main door should be bolted down, as I reached for one for stability and fell by the door onto the cement, very dangerous with nothing to hold onto.
