Disjointed in that the kitchen was in the centre & communal. That was fine but the morning we were there , there were 5 other guests a wanting to use the facilities. We were in a hurry to leave so didn’t actually have Brekky !

Reviewed Apr 21, 2026Pauley was very friendly and let us check in early. Great bored from the house and our room. Had a patio door with seating area outside to have breakfast with scenic views of the sea. Breakfast had lots of options and was fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend this accommodation. I had no expectations and was pleasantly very surprised at how nice it was.
I liked everything. The room was small but had a great shower room and lovely patio area with sliding doors out to seating area.

Have to walk thro the kitchen/dining area to bathroom. Kitchen is cupboard - too small for multiple people to work in - items not all clean. Breakfast food is bulk bought for everyone too use - sure not hygienically acceptable in NZ - 3l orange juice was off! Would be better to individualise the breakfast items for the price charged!

The space and table for self-service breakfast was too small when the rooms were full. The room was small with limited space for luggage. The toilet and shower room were clean but they were outside the room.

We had a private bathroom but this was across the hallway from the room. Robes were provided but it felt odd walking through the breakfast area from our room to the bathroom

It was quiet at night even with all the rooms full. The location was good with easy access to the town center area in Kaiteriteri.

Reviewed Jan 25, 2026Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr gut: Sie liegt nur zwei Minuten zu Fuß von einem wunderbaren Strand mit ein paar kleinen lokalen Restaurants in Kaiteriteri entfernt.
Zur Unterkunft: Sie wird als Bed & Breakfast bezeichnet, entspricht diesem Standard jedoch nicht. Es gibt zwar einen Kühlschrank und eine Möglichkeit zu frühstücken, jedoch ausschließlich in Selbstbedienung und ohne Kaffee. Das Zimmer verfügte über keine fest installierte Heizung. Es stand lediglich eine fahrbare Heizung zur Verfügung. Aus diesem Grund war regelmäßiges Lüften kaum möglich. Die Zimmer waren zwar sauber, allerdings war morgens starke Feuchtigkeit an den Fenstern von innen sichtbar. Der Eingangs- bzw. Frühstücksbereich war äußerst ungemütlich. Der Teppich war stark verschmutzt und voller Flecken. Zudem gab es lediglich einen sehr kleinen Tisch mit Platz für nur zwei Personen, obwohl im Haus mehrere Zimmer vermietet werden. Insgesamt entsprach die Unterkunft weder der Beschreibung noch den Erwartungen an ein Bed & Breakfast.

Poor Soundproofing: Significant noise transfer from the floor above, adjacent rooms, and the shared hallway. Lack of Functional Common Space: The "breakfast area" is merely an entrance corridor and a walkway to the bathrooms, offering no real privacy or comfort. Inadequate Room Setup: The room lacked basic toiletries (shampoo), provided only one bedside table, and featured a tiny TV in a poorly positioned, non-functional location.

Reviewed Jan 20, 2026The property is in a great location with handy access to the town and the water taxis to the park, but not in the thick of it, the swimming pool and the deck are a great space to relax, the host is very friendly.
The communal eating area is very dark and tired, the breakfast items are basic. The rooms are smaller than suggested on the listing, and there was no cleaning of the rooms for the duration of our stay.

Paul and his wife were friendly, respectful and helpful. The included breakfast was simple and supplies abundant. Room for us to store our bikes and water gear. We felt very at home and safe.

Badezimmer außerhalb des Zimmers, wie angeführt - jedoch durch den allgemeinen Frühstücksraum getrennt. “Frühstück” in Anführungszeichen, da bereits angebrauchte Toast-Packungen, offene Marmeladen etc - Hygiene? Der Kühlschrank direkt neben Eingang ins Zimmer, das sehr lieblos und kahl gestaltet ist. Zwischen Zimmertüre und Boden auch ein Spalt, direkt in den Frühstücksgang (siehe Fotos)

Dunkles Zimmer im Keller mit Blick auf einen Holzstapel. Muffig. Lieblose Ausstattung. Zum Bad musste man den Flur überqueren, wo andere gefrühstückt haben. Sehr hellhörig.

Reviewed Nov 20, 2025Desayuon ... no es continental, vamos a ver, es un desayuno con cereales, pan de molde y fruta que hay en una zona comun y que te preparas tú, así que no es un desayuno continental ni nada, simplemente es un self service en una zona comun donde se prepara cada persona que duerme allí su desayuno... La ubicación esta perfecta.
El desayuno, esperaba que hubiera desayuno pero que te dejen cereales y pan de molde para que te hagas tu... nop

Reviewed Nov 16, 2025Great location for the beach and if you are planning any of the trips up the coast. The host is very friendly and helpful. Lovely view of the wetlands. Place was clean and tidy.
The kitchen is communal so shared with other guests which is no problem. However, there is a note on the fridge to say you cant store packed lunches in it. If you have dietary requirements you may want to stay somewhere different for that reason. Breakfast is included but its very basic. Also the listing stated washing machine, but there didnt seem to be one.

Reviewed Nov 15, 2025לצערנו הרב הגענו למקום שלא תאם את הציפיות שלנו. חדר קטן עם מיטה שהמקלחת הייתה מחוץ לחדר במסדרון. היינו אמורים להעביר 3 לילות ופשוט הזמנו מקום חדש ושילמנו על שני המקומות. לא הצלחנו להגיע להבנה עם בעלי הבית. בקיצור חוויה רעה.

In Booking.com war es für mich nicht ersichtlich dass das Badezimmer nicht im Zimmer sondern übern Flur ist. Im Zimmer fehlte ein zweiter Nachttisch und vielleicht ein kleiner Tisch, es gab sonst keine Ablagefläche
