Das Frühstück war sehr lieblos hergerichtet.Das Personal war entgegen unseren anderen Erfahrungeni in Afrika sehr distanziert, kein persönliches Wort Die Doppelbetten könnten etwas breiter sein.

This was very relaxed in the cold. This was totally unplanned visit to Graaff Reinet . I enjoyed my stay at your venue, as I said the best venue I stayed this far. Clean, friendly staff in the storm of rain. My next trip I will book at this venue again

Breakfast was very good and the staff so friendly and helpful. If ever I’m back in the area, De Wingerd would be my first choice for accommodation! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026Die Unterkunft ist in einer Nebenstraße zur eigentlichen Hauptstraße in Graaf-Reinet. Somit kommt an von dort recht schnell mit dem Auto zu Restaurants oder dem Cambdebo-Nationalpark. Auch zu Fuß hat man die Möglichkeit in ca. 200m Entferung ein gutes Restaurant zu besuchen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön im Kolonialstil, mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und hat einen kleinen, sehr schön bewachsenen Garten mit einem Pool. Es gibt dort auch kostenlose Poolhandtücher und Sonnenliegen. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist recht ruhig und deshalb kann man auch entspannt am Pool die Ruhe genießen. Der Parkplatz ist auch innerhalb des Grundstücks, welches durch einen Zaun gut gesichert ist. Die Zimmer sind ebenfalls im Kolonialstil eingerichtet und haben einen ganz eigenen Flair. Das Badezimmer war sehr großzügig und modern eingerichtet. Wir wurden sehr recht freundlich empfagen, weshalb wir die Unterkunft absolut weitermpfehlen können.

It is such a lovely guesthouse, and immaculately clean. A more plush and better quality of towel would give it a 10+ rating.

Reviewed Mar 27, 2026Die Gastgeberin hat auf uns gewartet, obwohl wir etwas später als "checkin" angekommen sind (war aber vorab informiert). Die Anlage ist sicher, so - wie ich meine - Graaff Reinet allgemein. Aber wie in ZA üblich, sollte man nicht in der Dunkelheit die Ortschaft erkunden. Ein erstklassiges Restaurant liegt unweit in Gehweite und hinsichtlich Sicherheit war das aus unserer Sicht auch unkritisch. Das Zimmer war recht "altbacken", aber sauber und ordentlich. Alles in allem durchaus OK - und der Preis war hierfür richtig gut.

In Gehdistanz ist ein tolles Lokal und eine Kaffeerösterei, wo man gut Frühstücken oder ein leckeres Mittagessen zu sich nehmen kann. Garten und Pool sind schön, der Parkplatz sicher.

Alles was perfect, de locatie, het gebouw, de kamer, uitgerust met aangrenzend keuken, badkamer et douche cabine, accès direct naar de terras en het zwembad, in een tuin die nog mooier is dan op de foto’s. Het ontvangst was geweldig, het ontbijt goed verzorgd en de gastvrouw was extreem vriendelijk ! De Wingerd B & B is een plek om terug te komen !!!
Alles was goed, wij konden zelf onze auto op de binnenplaats parkeren !

Die Gastgeberin Heleen ist toll, unser Sohn hatte nach dem Checkout seine Uhr vergessen, und sie hat uns sofort eine Nachricht gesandt, dass wir noch rechtzeitig zurückkehren konnten. Tipp: Undingt den Camdeboo National Park besuchen, die Ausblicke und Wanderungen sind überragend.

Our son loved the upstairs bedroom. Richard is an exceptional host and put a lot of thought and care into the cottage, which we truly appreciate.
