We absolutely loved our stay here! The place is run by such a lovely family, and the host was incredibly kind and caring. She always made sure we had everything we needed and regularly checked in to see if there was anything she could help us with. The room was beautiful, super clean and very nicely decorated. The location is a little away from the main road, which makes it incredibly peaceful and quiet, surrounded by nature. We especially loved the huge terrace. We also had an amazing homemade breakfast. We felt so welcome during our stay and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. We would happily stay here again!

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in unserem eigenen kleinen Gästehaus. Es liegt etwas außerhalb des Stadtkerns, was für eine herrlich ruhige Atmosphäre sorgt. Dennoch ist alles Wichtige bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Häuschen ist durchdacht aufgeteilt in einen gemütlichen Schlaf- und ein separates Badezimmer. Auch die vielen praktischen Details haben uns überzeugt: Eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage, sehr viele Steckdosen (direkt neben dem Bett mit Nachttisch), ein Kühlschrank sowie ein Wasserkocher. Viel Ablagefläche und hervorragendes Licht am Spiegel. Eine eigene Terrasse mit schöner Nachmittagssonne – perfekt zum Entspannen. Super war auch das Frühstück, das uns jeden Morgen auf die Terrasse gebracht wurde. Unsere Gastgeberin wohnte direkt gegenüber und war einfach wunderbar. Sie war unglaublich lieb und hat sich um wirklich alles gekümmert – ob die Organisation eines Tuk-Tuks oder eines Fahrers. Auch der Wäscheservice, den sie für uns übernommen hat, war fantastisch: absolut zuverlässig und blitzsauber.

We hebben een super verblijf gehad in Ella. Net weg van alle drukte in een zij straat maar we waren wel zo bij alle restaurants. Ook echt een super verblijf, heel ruim en ook buiten genoeg ruimte om te zitten. Het zag er ook heel leuk uit met die trap. We zijn ook super geholpen door de eigenaresse. Heerlijk ontbijt (ook take away gekregen) en we hebben daar onze was laten doen wat ook super was. Echte aanrader!

Super Lage, nur einen Sprung vom Zentrum entfernt, aber dennoch sehr zentral, jedoch ohne Straßenlärm. Das Frühstück war groß und gut, jedoch ist der Geschmack des Kaffees...sagen wir einmal "ausbaufähig". Mit Tee ist man definitiv besser beraten. Die Vermieter wohnen direkt gegenüber, sind aber ganz lieb und überhaupt nicht aufdringlich, man kann seine Ruhe genießen. Das Apartment selbst ist sehr groß, schön eingerichtet und lädt zum Verweilen ein, vor allem auf der Terrasse. Es gibt eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage und wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

Great spacious room stand alone building with own terrace/balcony and gate for access Lovely having the terrace area for snacks and breakfast. The overall standard of cleanliness was great, the linen was clean and fresh and great having hand and body towels. The host was lovely and always helpful, we used her laundry service as well which was very good. The bed was comfortable and a bonus having the mosquito net above. The A/C worked well and the Wi-Fi was good apart from an occasional drop off or two. The bathroom was large, toiletries were provided and the shower was hot.

The location is central however it is 5 min walk down a dirt road with a very steep hill- just to be mindful of. It is very dark at night but okay to walk with flashlights on the phone. The dogs along the road do bark and I was scared a couple of times walking back at night with them but none ever chased us. There were large ants that came out at night, the place was clean and not the hosts fault I imagine they’re everywhere in the area but maybe some bug spray left in the room would be helpful. The Toliet was coming away from the wall so felt unstable when sitting on or off it- it would be an easy fix.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die perfekte Lage: Es war herrlich ruhig, gleichzeitig war man nach nur etwa 400 Metern direkt im Zentrum von Ella. So konnte man die entspannte Atmosphäre genießen und war trotzdem mitten im Geschehen. Die Gastgeber wohnen direkt nebenan und waren jederzeit freundlich, hilfsbereit und bei Fragen sofort erreichbar. Auch der Wäscheservice hat hervorragend und unkompliziert funktioniert. Eigentlich wollten wir kürzer bleiben, haben unseren Aufenthalt aber sogar noch verlängert, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Beste Unterkunft während unserer Sri Lanka-Rundreise! Man hat ein eigenes Häuschen mit großer Terrasse, Gastgeberin super freundlich, tolles Frühstück!

De accommodatie bestaat uit één kamer. Badkamer is met een trapje. Groot terras. Beheerster woont tegenover. Heerlijk ontbijt. Twee huizen verderop zit een leuk en goed restaurant.

Fünf Minuten zu Fuß nach Ella, die Gastgeberin war extrem nett und hat uns jeden Morgen ein super leckeres Frühstück zubereitet.

fijn om je eigen huisje te hebben met een groot terras in een rustig zijstraat op 5 min lopen van het centrum. de gastvrouw is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. het huisje is schoon en er is warm water in de douche. je slaapt met de geluiden van de natuur

als er een kledingkast zou zijn zou het helemaal top zijn.

Excellent location for quiet stay whilst in Ella but so near to everything. Large spacious room. Comfortable bed. Friendly owners.

Hübsches Zimmer, sehr schön eingerichtet und perfekt für ein paar Tage Ruhe am Rand von Ella

Ottima sistemazione, con camera enorme e curata, fornita di tutto il necessario. Buona colazione servita in veranda. Posizione a parere mio perfetta per la visita di Ella, da cui il centro e il NineArches sono raggiungibili a piedi, ma fuori dal caos e dai rumori della via principale. Famiglia dell'host molto simpatica e carina, ci siamo intrattenuti con loro e abbiamo giocato con il loro bimbo. Ottima anche la frutta che vendono per pochi spicci alla bancarella davanti alla sistemazione. Rapporto qualità pezzo ottimo.

La stanza era pulitissima, spaziosa e accogliente. Si trova a soli 10 minuti a piedi dal centro di Ella, ma resta comunque una zona silenziosa e molto tranquilla. La ragazza che gestisce la stanza è super disponibile e offre anche un servizio lavanderia subito davanti la stanza ad ottimo prezzo.

The room was cozy and comfortable. Everything was exactly as described. The service was excellent and always willing to help. I would also like to publicly thank the staff of the hostel because I forgot my prescription glasses and they did all the necessary arrangements to deliver them to me. Totally recommended place!

Prachtige, grote kamer met een fantastisch bed en airco. Heerlijk terras om buiten te zitten. Host is erg vriendelijk en regelde zelfs eten voor onderweg omdat we al heel vroeg weg moesten. Ontbijt was ook top! Locatie is super. Dichtbij het centrum, loopafstand Nine arch bridge maar wel rustig en groen.

The Rezt is tucked away in a back lane and feels like miles from town, but is in fact only a 200m stroll away. It comprises a single cottage, and has a lovely rustic ambience and a cosy feel. Our hostess also runs a laundry service across the laneway, which is very convenient. Breakfast is served on the verandah, and is fresh and plentiful. Our hostess also arranged very reasonably priced transport for us to our next stop (Yala).

In the heart of Ella (the main high street is a 10 min walk, little adams peak and nine arches are walkable from the property, abohr a 40 min walk each) The host was exceptionally lovely and kind Breakfast was delicious

The Rezt was fabulous … really good location … just off one of the main streets, but away from the hubbub of Ella, so quite peaceful. Lovely big room; the host was brilliant … very helpful and responded straight away. Would definitely recommend!

The only problem was the shower … cold & very little pressure! However, this was a small issue in what was otherwise a brilliant stay!

The room and restroom are very spatious and clean and located in a quiet area that is super central. Breakfast was a treat, really good and filling. We also did our laundry there and tha service was flawless. Highly recommend!! 😃

It's near center Ella, the room is cozy. The owner(s) also offer laundry service which we use, it came folded and even packaged! Lovely

They did not speak fluent English but you can understand each other. We stayed here 3 days and day2/3 became very damp/moist, the bed the clothes.. I mean it is Ella in monsoon I don't want to be too hard. But it was very damp.

We liked the space with an excellent view.

They should repair the ceiling of their washroom .

Just bring some headphones and the dogs can be a bit loud in the evening, but don’t let that stop you :)

The property is composed by 1 cottage only: the room is pretty big, with a comfortable bed and a very nice patio ONLY FOR YOU! Every morning, we were served by the owner a rich, homemade fresh breakfast at the time we wanted. The accommodation is located in a quite area, only a few minutes walking from the main bars/restaurants in Ella!

The Rezt offers you a cozy bungalow with a great private terrace all for yourself in a quiet area of Ella, yet close enough to the city center and Ella's attractions. The owners are lovely and will treat you with a lovely breakfast every morning.

The humidity in the bungalow is quite high, but this seems to be a general issue in Ella due to the weather.

By far the best place we stayed on our travels. Amazing, quiet setting just 5 minutes walk to the main town. A rare experience, but the actual accommodation was even better than the pictures on arrival. Attention to detail with the decor was excellent, and also we thought the first aid kit was a really nice touch. The ambiance in this setting was 10/10. Family run, the host lives just across the way. She is super friendly and offers a really reasonably priced laundry service. Every morning we had a beautiful breakfast brought across the road to us. We cannot recommend this place enough.

The location of this guesthouse is very convenient, all restaurants are walking distance. We could also walk directly to the little Adam’s peak and the nine arches bridges. The bed is comfortable and there is a mosquito net. Good place to stay and enjoy Ella, thank you!

there is no proper ventilation in the room so we needed to keep the doors open, you could feel the humidity. Not the greatest water pressure for the hot water but nothing that would stop me from staying here!

Lovely little guesthouse for a great price! we loved our stay here! It was clean, the bed really comfortable, it smelt nice, there was hot water and the lady who runs/owns it lives over the road so is available if you need anything. She brought us a delicious breakfast each morning and helped us sort out scooter hire.

great Homestay! you basically have your “own house” and it is very close to the city center, so you can simply walk in like 5 minutes. They also organized a scooter for us, which was very kind and helpful to explore the area! The breakfast was also very good! thanks for everything!

We had a great time and everything was perfect. The room was huge and more like an own little house with a fridge and nice terrace. The host family lives across the accomandation and helped us out with everything (also laundry) and served us breakfast on our terrace. it was delicious and located in a more quiet street but directly in the center 👍

The room is close to the street, so there were a few dogs barking at night, but it was not a major issue.

Very nice and brand new accommodation, right next to the city center of Ella. The shower had warm water and and there was also a warmer blanket for colder nights. It is basically a little house for yourself with a balking and also a good space to stay in, while it is rainy outside. We enjoyed staying at the Rezt very much. The welcoming and friendly host prepared a very nice and delicious breakfast and offers a laundry service.

The villa is spacious and designed beautifully and only a 5 min walk to the main town so a good distance and quieter than if you are right in the centre. The breakfast is lovely- fruit and pancakes. They also have a good value laundry service too.

Only small things but there could be one more plug socket for the Wi-Fi/ fridge/ ac as you have to take one out as there’s only two there. Same as most of Sri Lanka but Wi-Fi didn’t work/ very slow and shower slow too (but hot!)

This is the best place to stay in Sri Lanka! You have all the apartment for yourself and the breakfast is amazing. Super nice family with laundry service in front of the apartment
