Die Famile hat uns sehr nett empfangen und sich sehr gut um ums gesorgt. Wir haben uns superwohl und willkommen gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll gepflegt und mit vielen kleinen Details geschmückt. Es gibt gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten drausen mit viel Schatten. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Auch der Laundryservice funktionierte problemlos. Wir können diese Unterkunft herzlichst weiter empfehlen.

We loved our stay at Shady Mango Villa! The room was perfect, with great aircon and a comfy bed. The breakfast was great and very filling! The villa was in a great location, within walking distance of many shops/restaurants and easy to get to other places by TukTuk. They also arranged an AMAZING safari for us where we saw hundreds of elephants. We would recommend anyone to stay here!

Les gros plus : la literie est neuve et impeccable, le logement est spacieux et très propre, la location est idéale pour marcher le soir et aller dîner et enfin…LE PETIT-DÉJEUNER était incroyable !!!!! This was the best place I stayed so far in Sri Lanka. The rooms are in perfect conditions, super comfortable beds and the breakfast is amazing. (I ate the best mango in my life) But for sure the best part are the people at this place. Super helpful, kind and always there if you need something.

I book the place for 6 of my foreign friends. I didn’t stay but they were very happy with the stay. My personal experience with the accommodation was arranging my friends a boat trip and Sigiriya guided trip. Nayana was extremely helpful with this. She even asked me the number of the van driver, so she can communicate the timings with him. I booked the place because of reviews, and my limited interaction with the hotel also justifies these reviews. Whenever I’m planning to visit Sigiriya, I’m planning to stay there. The breakfast photo was sent by my friend.

Estuvimos muy a gusto. El personal era muy simpático y preparaban un desayuno muy rico. La habitación era grande y bonita. Se encuentra al lado de bares y cafeterías.

A localização - muito perto dos restaurantes e bares, o que é uma vantagem enorme em Sigiriya - e a simpatia dos donos. O marido da dona conhece pescadores locais que podem levar os hóspedes num passeio pelo lago Thalkote - uma experiência absolutamente inesquecível. Pequenos-almoços muito bons com comida local.

Nayana and Sunil, along with the whole family, were incredibly warm, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The villa was spotlessly clean, peaceful, homely, and beautifully cared for. Grandma was always happily pitching in whenever anything was needed, which made the experience even more special! We loved the fresh fruits and the jackfruit growing right in the garden, and as a vegetarian family, we were so grateful for the delicious, freshly prepared food and how thoughtfully everyone accommodated us. A very special thank you to the ever-wonderful Savi — we wish her every success and happiness with her exciting new venture, Savi’s Cafe. We’re sure it will be fantastic! Thank you to the whole family for making our stay so memorable. We arrived as guests and left feeling like friends. We would absolutely recommend Shady Mango Villa and hope to return one day! ❤️

I proprietari sono molto cordiali e simpatici. Disponibili anche per spostamenti nei diversi siti archeologici e naturalistici. La camera e il bagno sono pulitissimi. Colazione ottima e posizione della casa strategica. Di fianco ristoranti tipici molto buoni. Villa immersa in un giardino caratteristico.

La Villa è su tre piani e circondata da un bellissimo giardino. Le camere si affacciano su una bella e ariosa balconata arredata con comode sdraio in legno. Tutto è molto pulito e ben gestito da Nayana e dalla sua famiglia. Avremmo voluto restare di più se le tappe del nostro viaggio lo avessero permesso. Raccomandiamo altamente un soggiorno presso Shady Mango Villa.

Lovely family! We stayed here for one night, and the family was absolutely incredible. They were so kind, welcoming, and friendly, and they treated us like their own children. We genuinely felt at home from the moment we arrived. We highly recommend staying here if you are planning to visit Sigiriya. The town itself is also lovely and welcoming. Many people choose to stay in Dambulla, which is bigger, and visit Sigiriya as a day trip. We personally did the opposite: we stayed in Sigiriya and visited Dambulla during the day, and we really enjoyed it. There are several restaurants along the road near the house, as well as a place where you can rent motorbikes. We rented one ourselves to visit Dambulla, which was super convenient. Overall, an amazing place and a wonderful family. We highly recommend it! If we ever come back to Sigiriya, we would definitely stay with them again. ❤️

Shady Mango hotel is fabulous. The rooms are great, and include all the small details that make your stay easy, such as space for luggage, storage/counter space in the bathroom, a good sized fridge for cold drinks, air con and a fan, plenty of powerpoints, etc. The included breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the hosts provided friendly and welcoming service. The venue itself is very peaceful, but is close by to attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend staying at Shady Mango.

Alloggio meraviglioso immerso nella natura di Sigiriya. La mattina all’alba siamo stati accompagnati dall’host sulla Lion’s Rock. Una guida d’eccezione, grande conoscitore del luogo. Al rientro, lei ci ha accolti con una ricca e deliziosa colazione. Assolutamente consigliato.

Charmante schone accomodatie gerund door een heel vriendelijk echtpaar. Ze hebben een prachtige safari en vervoer naar de rots met zonsopgang voor ons geregeld. Aantal restaurantjes op loopafstand.

Shady Mango Villa est sans aucun doute notre coup de coeur du Sri Lanka! Difficile de ne pas tomber amoureux de l'endroit et de ne pas s'attacher aux propriétaires qui sont de si belles personnes. Nous avions une chambre pour 4 au premier étage qui donne sur un beau balcon. Elle était spacieuse, propre et joliment décorée. L'endroit est calme avec des oiseaux et des singes qui s'y baladent et donne sur une petite route où il y a le choix de petits restos très sympa. Les petits déjeuners étaient très copieux et Nayana nous a fait découvrir des fruits de leur jardin que nous ne connaissions pas comme le Jack fruit et la pomme cannelle (un vrai délice!!!). Sunil, qui est également guide la journée, nous a promené en tuktuk autour de Sigiriya et nous avons pu faire de belles photos autour du lac et des rizières. Il nous a également partagé plein d'anecdotes et cela a été l'occasion d'en apprendre plus sur le pays et les traditions! Le soir, leur fille Savi nous a cuisiné un excellent curry (et a bien respecté le fait que nous ne voulions pas certains plats épicés car nous avions des enfants, ce qui est difficile à trouvé au Sri Lanka). Nous nous sommes absolument régalé. Nous nous sentons très chanceux d'avoir pu y rester et ne pouvons que recommander cet endroit!

Beautiful location with lovely gardens and jungle surrounds while still being right next to amazing restaurants and a walking distance to Sigiriya rock. Very friendly family who offer an affordable laundry service and tuktuk rides for reasonable prices. Big breakfast and good coffee

The sweeping very early (6am) was a bit difficult to sleep through as the broom makes quite a lot of noise as it hits the metal railing but I do appreciate that you're trying to keep things dry

The bed is very comfortable, i had the best uninterrupted sleep. Aircondition and fan is working really good. Some power cut for few minutes, but the owner is very quick to provide a lamp. Bathroom is big and they have hot water. Breakfast was simple but amazing. I love the pancake with coconut and honey. Its my favorite. I always finish all my food. Location is walking distance to all tourism sights within Sigiriya and restaurants. Overall stay was worth the money.

Extremely clean, big room with proper air condition. Very helpful and friendly owners, Mr Sunil and his family has done their best to provide a great accomodation. Breakfast was far the best I had in Sri Lanka comparing to other similar budget friedly hotels I have stayed. Location was perfect as well, rigth at the main street of Sigiriya Town. All the restaurants are within 5-10 mins walking distance.

The host is SO friendly. She made us a wide spread of breakfast. I had also booked this place at the last min cause i had to switch my stay last min and she was very accomadating. They very quickly setup the room and it was comfortable. I also managed go spend sometime to have a coversation and understanding their live in Sigirya. It was wonderful

Lovely small homestay tucked just off the main road, it was peaceful and quiet but there were cafes and restaurants close by. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and the hosts were lovely, very friendly and kind. Great breakfast. We had a lovely stay.

Ejerene var det sødeste par, som var så hjælpsomme og venlige! De hjalp med at arrangere elefantsafari, chauffører og kørte os med tuk tuk ture. Vi var mere end tilfredse med opholdet og vil anbefale alle der skal til Sigiriya at bo på Shady Mango. Derudover var de så søde at lave den lækreste morgenmad hver morgen og de havde en virkelig hyggelig og fin have!

Sehr angenehme Unterkunft mit ausgesprochen freundlichen, herzlichen Gastgeber, die sich wirklich um das Wohl ihrer Gäste kümmern. Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt sehr schön, auch wenn das Frühstück etwas einfach gehalten war - trotzdem eine klare Empfehlung für einen entspannten Aufenthalt.

Outside sitting space to relax and an amazing garden. Great coffee on arrival. Loved to have stayed longer but they were full.

Harika bir konumdu. 5 arkadaş gittik. Sigiriya dağına gitmek çok istiyorduk, otel 20 dakikalık yürüyüş mesafesindeydi. Zaten otelin kendi tuk-tuk hizmeti de vardı. Biz çok erken saatlerde kalkıp yola çıktığımız için kahvaltı etme şansımız olmadı ama yine de bize meyve ikram etmişlerdi. Otelden bağımsız safari, transfer gibi birçok şeyi bizim için organize ettiler. Ne kadar minnettar olsak az. Otel klimalı ve ayrıca oda pervanesi vardı. Klima oldukça yeterliydi. Otelin tamamı yeni yapıldığı için temizdi. Yataklar inanılmaz rahattı. Biz 2 gün kaldık Sri Lanka boyunca en rahat ettiğimiz yerdi. Otel sahiplerinden biri olan Nayana'ya ayrıca çok teşekkür ediyoruz. Otel sahiplerinin hepsi harika, tatlı ve yardımsever insanlardı. Civardaki en iyi otel olduğunu iddia ediyorum. Sigiriya'da kalacaksınız bu otelde kalmalısınız. Şimdiden otele giden yolu yürümeyi bile özledim. Shady Mango Villa'ya teşekkürler yeniden

We had a lovely stay at Shady mango villa. It is in a great location in walking distance to the rock and lots of restaurants. The room was really spacious and clean. The family who runs it are lovely and helped us organise a safari trip and gave us tuk tuk rides to Sigiriya rock and Dambula cave temple. The breakfast was amazing with lots of different things to try. We would defined recommend!😀
