Location great

The location was perfect. Although we were on the main road the accommodation is located at the back of the homestead and was peaceful and oh so quite.

There was nothing we didn't.

A beautiful, well appointed and cosy cottage. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, comfortable bed, beautiful linen. Lovely Linden Leaves toiletries. Nice and close to Greytown shops, but a quiet and private place to stay, nicely set back off the main road.

I couldn’t figure out how to get the Spa or coffee machine to work - but most likely user error!

Das gemütlich u d perfekt eingerichtete Shy Cottage liegt wenige Minuten zu Fuß zum Ort und hat sogar ein Cheminée, was an regnerischen Tagen besonders schön ist.

Location is excellent, it was nice and big, very clean and great selections of coffee and tea. We would have loved to have spent a few days there, but it was fully booked. Highly recommend. Great communication and we wanted to get in there a little earlier and there was no problem with that.

The studio is beautifully set out with lots of thoughtful useful items that make it special. It’s also a short stroll to the town centre.

I was a bit hesitant when I realised that the studio is attached to someone’s home. I was a little concerned I was going to be in someone’s creepy basement but once there, private entrance and you don’t notice. They’re very respectful of privacy. So it wasn’t an issue or anything uncomfortable.

This is a really lovely little cottage in a charming historic town. Very nicely decorated and furnished . Comfy sofa and bed . Powerful shower. Very convenient for shops bars and restaurants and for getting to other places like Martinborough. The owners live next door and were very nice and made good suggestions for where to eat.

i would recommend trimming the bushes/trees as you walk into the cottage but other than that it was excellent place to stay and i would def stay again and would recommend to other people

Lovely, quiet and clean

The studio was immaculately clean, with an excellent selection of hot drinks and cooking facilities. The bathroom was lovely, spacious and clean. Could not recommend enough. I have family in the area so will definitely be returning when I visit them ☺️ The location is perfect, walking distance to pubs, cafes, lovely places for breakfast and dinner and shops

Reversing out of the drive onto a very busy main road (SH2) was not fun and there had been no warning of this. Netflix was not free. One kitchen hob did not work the other was on top of a small oven - ie hard to cook on. The little house dog was an unfriendly little pest. The studio was attached to the back of the owner's house and sound carried through a locked connecting door so there was no true sense of privacy.

Clean, bright, spacious studio, huge lovely bathroom. Lots of lovely little extra touches. Great location, able to easily walk to everything in town. Met Sandie, very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend!

Cosy retreat where we could forget about our busy life for a couple of days. Very comfortable and beautifully presented. Exceeded our expectations and would definitely stay again. Easy walk to shops, cafes and restaurants

It was very nicely presented, very clean and comfortable. All of the fittings, furniture, and provided extras were of the highest quality. We thought that it was excellent, and would definitely stay again, and recommend to friends and family.

Great location and very easy to find. Loved the spacious quiet cottage with comfy bed and nice products in bathroom. Didn't meet the owners so can't comment on them except all went well with communication.

The cottage was beautifully clean and had lovely little touches like chocolates, milk in the fridge and ammenities in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the hosts had great communication. Located right next to the pub hotel so was easy for dinner.

The outdoor bath could’ve had a little bit more of a clean but also that’s pretty tricky when it’s outdoors! Can’t fault anything.

So close to eateries and shop. But being on the back of the house it was so quiet and relaxing.

Lovely and clean, very comfortable and modern furnishings, the bed and bedding was lovely and comfortable and the heater had been turned on ready for our arrival which was fantastic given it was a freezing cold day.

Just needed to have a note to say flick the switch up not down to turn the heated towel rail on and maybe a little fan heater in the bathroom as it was pretty cold in there.

It was very comfortable and easy to find. Very clean a huge selection of coffee, very nicely presented and plenty of towels. Added bonus they had a hair straightener which I took advantage of and electric blankets we were nothing but cozy, would stay again!!

Central location. Being mid winter, it was lovely having a woodburner. There is a heat pump as well. Loved the Linden leaves soaps shampoo and conditioner.

The spa outdoors wasn’t what we were expecting so we didn’t use it.

The location was great as it was an easy walk to shops, cafes, and restaurants. The cottage was exceptionally clean with everything you could think of to make your stay enjoyable. The cottage was spacious with kitchen appliances if you wanted to do your own meals. Decor was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and it was great to find it had an electric blanket. It was nice to arrive on a cold day to find the heat pump was going, and the cottage was warm and cosy. I would highly recommend and would stay again.

We loved how snug and comfy the whole vibe was, and the thought that had obviously gone into both the layout and the features. Especially after two nights on marae mattresses, the bed alone was worth everything, and overall our studio stay was heavenly.

The toilet leaked to the extent we had to turn it off and use a bath towel to control the water leak and the owners did not seem that interested in that information.

Excellent one night stay at the studio. Comfortable beds and very spacious and stylish. Very close to all the ‘action’ in Greytown. Very pretty garden around it.

The privacy was super , ambiance just lovely - charming cottage with all necessary facilities. Shower was consistent re : temperature, good pressure. Great to have hair drier, tongs, iron and 'working' kitchen.

Absolutely brilluant. Comfortable quiet and peaceful. The forethought in providing unlocked for things such as espresso and instant coffee, milk and soy milk,tea and herb tree and much much more. Absolutely brilliant.

We thought the cottage was a great size. The shower was good and the toiletries were nice. The bed was comfy and it was clean and quiet. We were very pleased with it.

Shy Cottage is delightfully cute and the interior is spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely bed linen and very comfy bed. Simple property access instructions and an easy walk along to Greytown shops and restaurants.
