Lovely folks, dog friendly and down to earth, this is real New Zealand.
Nothing
Handy location.
Room and bathroom weren’t the cleanest.
Wonderful warm welcome, complete with a slice of homemade Christmas cake to celebrate the Greytown mid-winter Christmas festival. Perfect location a short stroll from the lovely Greytown shops and cafes.
Loved the location, right in the heart of Greytown, and that it is tucked away off the road.
Room was a little on the small side but cosy. The one thing it was missing was a full length mirror
Thank you so much, lovely place to stay. Very accommodating, went the extra mile for us and added a bed. We would love to come back and stay
Location and was very quiet at night time.
Location, had everything we needed, lovely and warm in the middle of winter. Close to lots of eateries, shopping and the Lolly Jar shop.
Excellent stay
The property was well presented, clean, quiet and warm (once the heat pump kicked in). Great location with plenty of parking
The one thing that let it down was in the bathroom. The ceiling fan/light directly above the shower was hanging out of the ceiling so we avoided using the light at all and did not use the shower as we were concerned it would fall on us.
Location is great as in the centre of the village. This was our third stay at the motel but first time in a studio room so missed having the full kitchen facility.
Location, Parking
Nil, very comfy
Location very good
Bed and pillows not comfortable pillows smelt musty
Excellent location
Location
Not value for $ paid. No nice coffee, thin towels, noisey kettle
Great location, clean room and comfy bed
It was great
Excellent location being right in the village. Bed very comfy and unit very clean.
Quite noisy early morning with the traffic traveling down the main street eg trucks.
Very clean and very well located in the centre of Greytown. One minutes walk to shops and restaurants. We always stay here when in Greytown.
All very good
Great location for cafes etc
There was a rather aggressive dog on the premises…seemed as tho it was the owners…on a lead and always with its master but oh boy if it got off it would go for you…dog like that is definetly a worry
Location
Faced the forecourt and entrance. Would have preferred a nicer outlook
Beds were super nice and cosy. . Place being Pet friendly is a bonus A nice cosy room to snooze and relax after a very busy long day
Host was very kind to help us when we made a booking the same day. Very comfortable bed. Great location. Very kind to let us use the washing machine.
A bedside lamp near the2 single beds would have been great. Really minor though! The room was very comfortable and a good size.
Accommodation was very central, handy as walking distance and close to almost everything. Ian was very accommodating, gave us what our group requested in terms of units we wanted, options & suggestions on information we asked. Allowed to leave cars parked for a while after check out.

What beautiful accomodation. So peaceful eveb though on the main road, you never heard the traffic. It was so central to the town and was a perfe t spot for us with young kids
Location. Beds
Bathroom design. No counter area to put clothes and toiletries. Accessible shower turns entire bathroom into a wetroom. Small sink with no bench area
Great location! We stay here every year for Harvest. The bus leaves from just around the corner and we park our cars and get our room keys before we head off for the day, from the lovely staff. So handy!
NA
Location, size of the room.
The towels were awful, very old and thin. As well, we hadn't checked out and had walked down the road for a coffee. Upon returning, we found that the room was already being cleaned and we were unable to use the bathroom. The cleaner was adamant that we couldn't return to the room. This was 10.20 with a checkout time of 11.00..
Great location & quiet
All good.
Good service very helpful
It was very nice
At was nice and clean but we had a smoke alarm go off but that all so very pleased it worked even though we weren't cooking
Very close to town and restaurants etc
Location was excellent. Had everything we needed
Not much this time. Previous visit was great
Was booked as a twin many months back. Somehow between booking.com and the provider something changed. As was a full house the motel couldn't accommodate a change. Not even a roll out bed. Quite embarrassing for all
Location was very close to everything and the supermarket.
Nothing
Location and proximity to shops.
Sofa was very uncomfortable but didn’t matter so much for our short stay.
Very spacious room. Nice setting. Quiet. Very close to cafes and shops. 11.00 check out and able to leave car in car park after check out. No need to clean used dishes as motel asked for them to be left for them to do.
A little pricey
Great unit, lovely surrounds, great location
Proximity to town, comfortable furniture, dogs welcome.
Mix up with payment from Booking.com made things a bit stressful, but it was quickly sorted out.
Great location, nice units if a bit small and just a bit minimal with some facilities - eg no kitchen sink if that matters.

Location, clean, friendly staff

Helpful friendly owners, spacious comfy room with everything we needed. Great location!
Great location
Could walk everywhere, & was quiet
Have stayed here before, it was excellent this stay as it has been in the past.
Nothing to dislike.
Lovely quiet room with a nice outdoor sitting area. A 2 minuet walk to the lovely shops and town, and a walk across the road for dinner at the local lovely pub.
Excellent location and being pet friendly was really helpful for us.
Clean comfortable and very warm
Nothing at all perfect
Spacious room comfy beds very clean Central location Great parking Lovely to have a covered deck to enjoy a coffee in the morning or drink in the evening
The positioning of the motel was brilliant. We could walk to all the Christmas lights, parade, snow, fireworks etc The service and pleasantness and willingness of the lovely young lady doing the rooms was outstanding .. which made up a little for the slightly abrupt attitude of the hosts. The shower was great, once you got in (see below), lovely and warm with heaps of pressure It had a 2 person coffee plunger that worked well. Very close to places you could get meals out at. Although close to all the Mid Winter Christmas stuff and crowds the Motel was lovely and quiet.
The room stated that it had a seating area and it stated it had a dining area. Sadly they were the same thing. 1 chair either side of a very small table and the only way to watch the TV was sitting on the bed. It also stated it had airconditioning. A single heater and a dehumidifier are not airconditioning. It stated it had a kitchenette. This actually meant it had a microwave and a fridge with a small work surface over. There was no sink or water other than in the bathroom. The ownwers had put a cooktop in and a pot and frying pan for us, but we did not use these as did not feel the area was really workable. Basically, if you want to self cater this motel is not for you, unless there is other rooms where you can. Ask the hosts before to make sure. They are willing to wash your dishes, and do, but this implies you only use 1 plate, cup etc all day unless you wash your own in the bathroom handbasin which was not deep enough for this. The room seemed clean but when the toilet seat moved slightly it was very obvious that some deeper cleaning was necessary here. Another point to note for larger people. The shower door hinge is far too far along making the gap to get into it when the door is open definitely on the narrow side. Most adults would need to go in sidewards. A handtowel would have been nice too, so that the towels were not partly wet before showering. A note to older people and those with slight mobility issues. The step up to get onto the veranda in front of the motels is on the high side. A paver in front on the ground level would help here. There is a ramp at one end of the veranda that can be used but not initially obvious. Apart from the above we did have an enjoyable stay in Greytown. The weather was glorious and our room was lovely and sunny.
So quiet. Parking and very clean

We had a lovely stay. Thank you!
Close to shops and cafes
Location. Easy walk to town.
Right in the centre of Greytown
Outside lighting near unit
3 friends staying overnight. Sufficient comfortable beds, everything was clean and met our needs. Set back from the road so no road noise and handy to town with a take-away right next door. Very convenient.
