Lovely stay at the Greytown Campground. I booked my stay last minute and was not disappointed at all. The bed was very comfortable and the location is very good. From the campground it's only a 5-10 minutes walk to the center of Greytown and the staff members were all very kind and happy to help.
It would be amazing to have hairdryer to borrow, but that just an idea :)
Friendly staff, warm showers, small kitchen space for campers.
The surrounding bush. Nice big fridge to store groceries.
It was a very cold time and the heater provided just didn't warm the room up. Long way to get to the ladies facilities, specially in the middle of the night. Very basic.
Friendly staff, clean facilities and room. Idyllic woodland’s
The units are adorable and well-made. We've stayed in a different style each time we've stayed and have been impressed by how well-designed each cabin/wagon has been. Each time we wish we could have stayed for longer!
With the rain our cabin could have used a little paving stone or something similar to get from the path to the steps, to help avoid getting our shoes so wet before going in. Though with the rain being so intense when we visited a little sogginess was inevitable!
This campsite is fab – we booked one of the cabins for our family of 4 and it was so cozy and perfect for our winter weekend away – the toilet wasn’t too far away and the kitchen had everything we wanted – absolutely perfect
We were only there for one night and really wish we could have explored around the area – our boys weren’t happy that we had to leave
The second time I have stayed here. Quiet location and comfortable small cabin. Very helpful and friendly staff. Amenities a little old but well maintained and very clean
No dislikes
It was a quirky place, does not have a street frontage as you enter the gardens and then drive into the camping ground. The price was very fair for what it offered. The room was very clean as were the ablutions area.
The unit was quite stuffy and humid during the night, a fan would be great to move the air around. The lighting for the ablutions area at night was not very good and it was tricky going to the toilets during the night.
Loved the gypsy caravan, a really comfortable and attractive space.
Facilities are a little tired.
Very different loved the cabins that are like old wagon warm and comfortable..value for. Money..walk distance into town to shops and restrau td
Nil
Beautiful location, nice and quiet. Clean cabins and facilities. Lovely staff.
The camping grounds were so awesome and nice and quiet
There was nothing I didn't like about it
Convenient and had all the basic amenities
It's getting a bit old
Great location, loved the tent. Comfortable bed
Located away from the main road and behind a beautiful glade of native trees this location is very quiet and peaceful. A supermarket is a 5 minute walk away if you need supplies. There is a large children's playground next door along with tennis and petanque courts. The facilities are a little basic but very clean and tidy. Helpful and friendly staff with great advice as to where to eat locally. The cabin I rented had a bunk (double on bottom and single on top) which was very comfortable. Just 2 PowerPoints but sufficient for me, tea and coffee provided with a kettle. Excellent wi-fi.
I don't have anything that I would suggest
Toilet and shower need cleaning all around floor and walls. Showers faulty.
I really loved this little gem of a campground. We booked the Lotus Belle Tent and it was so spacious and warm and the bed was comfy, a glamping experience without the pricetag. The host Nina was lovely and so welcoming. This campground has an awesome playground at the front, swimming pool next door. A food truck was on site in the evening. Its close walking distance to Greytown main street which is so quaint and has beautiful shops, supermarket a quick walk as well. A nice bushwalk there too. you can hear the native birds. The camp has a nostalgic yesteryear feel, like the kiwi campsites of old, I liked that about it, would recommend to other travellers.
The amenities are older but it gives that old school feel,. The womens toilet at the back of the amenities building could do with a light outside as its dark when you go to the bathroom at night, and I felt a little uneasy walking around the back in the dark to go bathroom. But other than that I loved this place.
We loved the 'wagon" we stayed in. It was so unique.
Nothing at all.
Excellent location, very helpful friendly staff. Well run. Great facilities for kids.
Great Wifi, which became important due to terrible weather! Nearby location (park/playground) looks lovely but weather stopped us from enjoying. Super close to supermarket and greytown village. We were kept cozy with heating and given extra blankets.
Ros was very helpful, friendly and was great to meet her. Have a wonderful day.🙂
Just needed a TV. 😁 Also, if the rooms could have their own cutlery, plates, utensils like a spatula, masher, whisk, etc, please? If they go missing then you know who took them🙂
De omgeving...prachtige natuurlijke setting.. De stilte... En toch dicht bij het mooie stadje.....
Niets eigenlijk
Quiet and comfortable
Only thing lacking was a small fridge in room
Was great to have a place to come and go with no hassel
Nothing was just right
Mature trees, great playground, pool access. We stayed in the lotus belle and bed was comfy. Extra blankets were supplied which was a plus as it got cold at night. Great to have plates/cutlery and towels/linen supplied with this option
Facilities were a bit run down but adequate
The gypsy caravan was comfortable, clean unique & was in a beautiful location. The staff were friendly, helpful & lovely .
Everything
There was not much to dislike or something to dislike
The campsite was surprisingly quiet and clean.
The cabins were amazing
Very good Experience
Relaxing and comfortable. Ros is a super star host
Good place to chill and relax
Nice and quiet
Beautiful renovated cabins. Very cute and love to details
Restrooms Cpild have been nicer-very old. Kitchen very old and not a lot of pots and cutlery.
Beautiful bird sounds and very peaceful
I liked the sounds of the manu in the ngahere. The room and facilities were nice & tidy. Staff was helpful & friendly, but also left you alone to enjoy your stay. It was peaceful and quiet, easy to relax.
I think you get your moneys worth.
I had an amazing stay, Ros was wonderful and the facilities were always clean. I would stay again 😊
A cheerful greeting on arrival. Most welcomed. Not having to worry about the security beam code when leaving early in the morning. The bathrooms and showers were really clean.
The small lodge was very nice for my friend and I. We appreciated the friendly staff, the warm shower after being outside at night, and the small sunny terrace for the breakfast outside, while listening to the numerous birds. It is also next to a remnant of native bush, which probably brings lots of wildlife and fresh air.
The bunk beds are moving too much when one is moving. They should be re-enforced or changed.
Great location. Good for kids
always friendly and helpful staff
Been here in the summer awesome winter time not that great
They need fan heaters not oil heaters ended up going home the same day too cold
Lovely trees and grounds, very quiet
It was in a good location for what we needed
Advertised 2 bunk beds but upon arrival on one bunk bed was present in both cabin
We loved the quirky "olden day" cabins and yet they were so beautiful and classy inside. For staying in a cabin where we had to use the shared kitchen and bathrooms, I was nervous about the cleanliness and I was amazed at how clean everything was. Everything was easy to use, no confusion. Our kettle didnt want to open in our cabin and it was quickly replaced by another. Lovely playground and tennis courts basically on the premises and easy short walk to the main street through Greytown! Definitely will visit again!
Marvellous, lovely place. I left my watch behind under the pillow, they posted it to me promptly. The office was a bit hard to find in the dark upon arrival so better signage or lighting would be the only thing I could suggest for improvement.
Friendly and helpful staff, cute and cosy set up for wagon cabin. Two kids found it interesting and fun!
When pouring with rain, no shelter at cabin front door
The only problem I had was a faulty heater which the owner did try to fix but didn't completely work.
Enjoyed our stay at the Greytown Camground. The cabin was very clean, as were the bathrooms. The staff were super-friendly, and thought that it was great value for money!
There wasntv really anything to dislike!
Super great value for money. Tidy and comfortable cabin. Will absolutely be back
Nothing! We would recommend this campground to anyone.
The campground is very cute and neat. The wagon where we stayed was very aesthetic. Small but everything is complete. It was a nice experience. The toilet and shower were also clean.
none
Well located, picturesque setting, friendly and helpful staff and clean and comfortable stay.
Liked it all.
Cool wagon cabins and lovely comfortable bed and pillows.
The location was great, walking distance to town. Loved the gypsy caravan, excellent novelty feature.
Would have been good to have a small fridge in caravan.
Was a good place to stay friendly owners
The awesome gypsy caravan
Suggestion....could repaint the white line on the concrete path by the laundry, worried someone may trip at night.
