Sahara wellness camp

The place is great. We did not have to wait much for them to pick us up (since you have to get there by camel, squad or 4x4). The staff is awesome and are willing to make the experience the best possible. It was my daughter's birthday and they even brought a big cake with her name on it (and they literally didn't have to do it at all). Book the experiences cause they are really nice and run by professionals. Thanks so much for this experience guys, we will always remember it!

Nothing really, everything was more than expected.

L’emplacement magique au milieux des dunes, le tour à dos de dromadaire, le 4x4 dans les dunes. Tentes confortables avec douches et WC. Personnel parfait et arrangeant au possible

Pas de prise électrique dans les chambres, donc pas de ventilateur et au mois d’août c’est vraiment compliqué quand il fait 35 degrés dehors. L’hôtel est pas cher sur booking, ajouter 64€ par personne pour le dîner, petit dej, aller en dromadaire et retour en 4x4, pas précisé dans la description booking. Pas de machine à carte bleu, enfin si, mais elle est en panne, comme partout au Maroc. Le Covid de la machine à carte bleu a encore fait une victime 🤣. Prévoyez du cash.

Une expérience dépaysante dans le désert ! Un bel accueil des hôtes, une super promenade en chameau et la présence des animaux sur le site.

Il faisait trop chaud dans les tentes pour dormir, ce qui a gâché en partie notre séjour. Des ventilateurs devraient être fournis lors de cette période de l’année. De plus, les activités sont chères et les déjeuners très moyens.

Dokonując rezerwacji trzeba mieć na uwadze że cena podana jest tylko za nocleg i trzeba będzie dopłacić jakąś kwotę zależnie od wybranych atrakcji. My zdecydowaliśmy się na ofertę za 60€ która obejmowała przejazd wielbłądem z zachodem słońca, kolację, grę na bębnach, śniadanie i przejażdżkę jeep 4x4. Każda z tych atrakcji była absolutnie warta tej ceny, przeżycia nie zapomniane a posiłki bardzo smaczne i obfite.

Das Wüstencamp ist ein einmaliges Erlebnis und wurde unseren Erwartungen mehr als gerecht. Die familiäre Atmosphäre sowie die Verpflegung sind sehr gut. Das Abendprogramm wirkt authentisch.

Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war aufgrund der Parksituation etwas verwirrend. So bekamen wir einen Treffpunkt mitgeteilt, der sich schließlich bei unserem Eintreffen nochmals veränderte, sodass wir an einem anderen Ort parken mussten. Zudem roch es am nächsten Morgen im Zelt stark nach Abfluss.

Site and facilities

Quad tour personnel was not friendly. They did no effort to make it special activity. You pay a significant amount of money to have a fun activity and better and friendlier guide. Understand most sites might do the same but offering by Booking very low prices to get the reservation and then leaving everything to be paid separately is not a transparent approach

I specifically liked the optional activities. There was an excellent choice range. Would not pass on the camels and the quads. Also sand boarding was something great. I would just recommend getting someone at the camp to help you out since it’s harder than it looks.

The staff was friendly, the tent was very spacious.

The toilet feels like open space with the rest of the tent, and the shower floods. The check out felt a bit forced, as we had to leave by 9 am, with a 5 min warning.

Przemiła obsługa, czyściutko. Namiot ogromny, bardzo ekskluzywny, z łazienką i prysznicem!!! Rzeczywistość przerosła moje oczekiwania. Za tak niewielką kwotę fantasryczna przygoda na pustyni. Polecam każdemu z całego serca

Hele leuke ervaring en het boeken is ook goedkoop. Wellicht wat naïef van ons, maar de echte kosten komen pas bij aankomst. Dag van aankomst een mail over ophalen, diner en transport terug. Hiervoor betaal je €60 P.p. Bij het boeken stond eerder al ‘ophalen met kameel’ maar zonder prijs. Ga voor een nachtje met 4 personen dan ook uit van ongeveer €300🙃🫢

Une expérience familiale magique. Espaces très confortables et bien décorés, dîner délicieux, coucher de soleil sur dos de dromadaires fortement recommandé (comme partout, bien vérifier les services extras). Efforts de respect de l'environnement par rapport aux camps voisins (petites lampes solaires la nuit, salle de bains collective très propre). Nous recommandons!

My stay at the Sahara Wellness Camp in Merzouga was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness, which made us feel at home right away. One of the highlights was the camel ride through the Sahara dunes—an incredibly special experience. The peaceful rhythm of the camel, the endless golden landscape, and the stunning sunset made it absolutely magical. We also enjoyed delicious food, especially the flavorful tajine, which was a real highlight of the evenings. The camp offers a perfect blend of comfort, authenticity, and tranquility. Alles klappte perfekt, die Ausstarrung des Zelts war einwandfrei, auch das zugebuchte Paket inkl. Transfers, Abendessen und Kamelritt war stimmig

Absolutnie wszystko, bardzo dobra organizacja, zamówilismy przejazd do obozu na wielbładach i poprosiliśmy o zmianę godziny ze standardowej 16:00 na 17:00, nie było problemu. Bagaże pojechały jeepem nie musisz się wcale przepakowywać specjalnie w mniejsze plecaki, zabiorą wszystko co masz bez problemu pojechała nasza walizka. Bardzo ładne estetyczne czyste wnętrza namiotów i tych do spania i tego wspólnego gdzie się je. Pięknie podane posiłki na białych obrusach z wiklinowymi podkładkami. Zdecydowanie zdjęcia nie oddają uroku obozu. Lepszego fotografa powinni zatrudnić ;)

toto bylo naše nejlepší ubytování v celém Maroku! :D což je opravdu vtipné, protože bylo na Sahaře, uprostřed dun. personál byl úžasný, večeře byla výborná. večerní program byl vtipný a zajímavý. jediné, co bych nedoporučila je jízda na velbloudu, zadek mě bolí ještě dnes :D večeře + doprava do kempu se platí zvlášť, ale personál je komunikativní a vše s nimi domluvíte přes whatsapp.

We hadden een ander camp geboekt (basic) maar omwille van omstandigheden... kregen wij een luxe desert camp... wat echt wel luxe luxe luxe was...ervaring voor het leven.

We had a great experience staying at this desert camp near Merzouga. The organization was smooth from the beginning – we met at a hotel in Merzouga, where we could safely park our car, and were then taken by camel caravan into the desert. The ride takes around 2 hours with a stop for sunset, which was absolutely beautiful and one of the amazing highlights of the trip. The camp itself exceeded our expectations. Our tent was spacious, clean, and we were pleasantly surprised to have a private bathroom and toilet. There was Wi-Fi available and a common area where we could charge our devices, which was very convenient. Dinner was excellent (traditional tagine, soup, and dessert), and breakfast was also rich and varied. In the evening, there was a campfire with Berber music and drumming, which created a really authentic and enjoyable atmosphere. It’s important to note that while the accommodation itself is very cheap, additional services like transport to the camp and activities are charged separately. This is standard for desert camps, and in our case everything was clearly communicated in advance (and also mentioned directly in the description of the camp). We chose a package (camel ride, jeep ride to return to Merzouga, and dinner) for 55 EUR per person, which was worth it. In the morning, we watched the sunrise, tried sandboarding, and then returned by jeep – the drive through the dunes was a fun experience. Overall, a memorable stay and a unique desert experience that we would definitely recommend. Absolutely an amazing experience.

Das Camp hat die perfekte Größe, nicht zu viele Zelte. Omar hat uns sehr nett empfangen. Wir wurden mit dem Jeep ins Camp gefahren. Andere Option sind Kamele. Die Zelte sind alle sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Omar und seine Geschwister führen das Camp mit Leidenschaft, sind immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war das Beste, was wir in Marokko gegessen haben. Es gibt auch viele Tiere am Camp. Unsere Kinder wollten gar nicht wieder fahren… Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!

Bardzo dobre jedzenie. Kolacje co dnia były urozmaicane. Obsługa bardzo miła nienarzucająca się. W miarę kameralny, nie duży obóz. Część namiotów miała łazienki, my nie mieliśmy, ale łazienki wspólne były bardzo czyste. W obozie było pełno zwierząt: pies, koty (obydwa koty na czas naszego pobytu miały małe kotki), kury, króliki, owce i kozy. Deski do sandbordingu (czyli zwykłe deski snowboardowe) były ogólnodostępne. Wielbłądy były bardzo dobrze traktowane, w przeciwieństwie do obozu obok (w nocy na pustyni widzieliśmy je ze związaną nogą, co miało uniemożliwić im ucieczkę). Trzeba być świadomym, że cena jaka jest na booking jest ceną tylko za nocleg i śniadanie. Zdecydowana większość kosztów to obowiązkowe dopłaty (dojazd+kolacja 60 euro za osobę). Więc trzeba się mierzyć z dodatkowymi kosztami, ale cena całości jest porównywalna z innymi obozami. Naprawdę polecamy zostać na więcej niż jedną noc. Pozwala to skorzystać w pełni z uroku pustyni.

Przeszkadzająca była bliskość innych obozów, ale tak jest wszędzie. W około trochę płasko, żeby pozjeżdżać sensownie na desce trzeba trochę iść do wydmy.

Hele mooie locatie. Lekker eten, avond en ontbijt. Kregen een upgrade met een kamer met badkamer.

Het verblijf zelf is heel erg goedkoop maar er komen nog veel kosten bij waardoor het een duur verblijf wordt. Het kamp zit niet midden in de woestijn maar aan de rand.

Eine Mega Erfahrung! Das meiste Geld wird sich durch den Transfer und das Essen in der Wüste eingeholt. Aber man kann auch nicht erwarten dass 18€ für eine Nacht inklusive Essen etc. ist. Wir hatten eine tolle Wüstenerfahrung!

Die Unterkunft ist eines der kleineren, familiäreren Camps in Erg Chebbi, was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Es ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Wir empfehlen auf jeden Fall zwei Nächte dort zu bleiben und einfach die ruhige Stimmung in der Wüste genießen. Im Camp gibt es viele Sitzgelegenheiten, in denen man entspannen kann. Die Zelte sind sehr großzügig geschnitten und schön eingerichtet. Für uns war es die schönste Unterkunft während unserer Marokko-Reise.

Food was very average, also I would have hoped for more clarity upfront (especially regarding the location of the camp, because hiking there is possible if you are experienced).

Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen. Wunderschönes Camp mit Lagerfeuer und süßen Katzen und Hunden. Die Menschen sind unfassbar freundlich und hilfsbereit, am Abend spielten sie mit uns Musik am Lagerfeuer. Das Essen war sehr lecker (auch vegetarische und Vegane Optionen. Man kann kostenlos Sandboarden. Die Hinfahrt mit dem Jeep zum Camp war einfach traumhaft und hat viel Spaß gemacht. Alles einfach perfekt Einfach nur danke für diese außergewöhnliche Zeit

Sehr schönes kleines Camp um die Wüste zu erkunden. Sehr sehr leckeres Essen und viele coole Aktivitäten!

Es wird mit niedrigen Preisen geworben, die sich dann schnell läppern. Aus 25€ pro Person für den Transport wurden bei unserer Ankunft plötzlich 60 (!!!), Abendessen MUSSTE man dazu wählen und nochmal kamen 15€ dazu. Für alles musste extra bezahlt werden, was im Vorfeld nicht ersichtlich ist. Im Nachhinein haben wir von Locals erfahren, dass der Organisator lediglich die Zelte für die Buchenden bei anderen, lokalen Camps bucht und gar kein eigenes besitzt. Wir haben dann viel günstiger bei richtigen Berbern gebucht und hatten ein tolles Erlebnis. Ich rate jedem davon ab, dieses Camp zu buchen.

Overnachting zelf is heel goedkoop, maar verwacht wel extra kosten voor vervoer naar (en ook terug van) het kamp.

Bardzo fajny przestronny namiot, wygodne duże łóżko, kilka kocy do ogrzania w nocy. Widok na Saharę niesamowity. Smaczna kolacja i świetna atmosfera podczas wieczornego grania przy ognisku. Miły personel, który szybko odpowiadał na wiadomości.

Niestety ceny w opisie na bookingu nie są aktualne a na miejscu bez prowizji można płacić tylko gotówką. Lepiej upewnić się co do ceny przed przyjazdem żeby być przygotowanym co do płatności. Z tego powodu gwiazdka mniej, poza tym wszystko było super.

Das Camp war wirklich perfekt! Omar hat uns vorher alle wichtigen Infos geschickt und wir konnten unser Auto vor der Wüste bei einem Hotel abstellen und wurden dann mit einem Jeep abgeholt. Das Abendessen war unglaublich lecker und es gab super viel zu essen und für Vegetarier war gut gesorgt! :) Alle im Camp sind total herzlich und aufmerksam, sodass man bereits nach 2 Nächten wehmütig ist, auszuchecken. Außerdem gibt es wirklich viele Tiere einen super süßen Schäferhund und zwei Katzen die sich gerne streicheln lassen. Die Duschen und Klos waren immer sauber und es gab auch immer warmes Wasser. Mittags kann man auch im Camp essen und Frühstück ist auch total lecker. Wir haben eine Quadtour gemacht und hatten super viel Spaß! In den Zelten gibt es auch wirklich genug Decken, sodass es abends und nachts angenehm warm bleibt. Außerdem gibt es jeden Abend Musik am Lagerfeuer.

O alojamento fica em pleno deserto e os funcionários são muito prestáveis e amáveis. O anfitrião, o Omar, é super atencioso e sempre disponivel a ajudar e proporcionar uma ótima experiência aos hospedes. Gostamos do facto de o alojamento ser um acampamento tradicional berbere que passou de geração em geração. Voltaremos a repetir!

Só soubemos do custo de transporte da cidade mais próxima até ao deserto no dia anterior à reserva. (não há outra hipotese para chegar lá a não ser de camelo ou de jipe)

Das Personal und insbesondere der Küchenchef Yousef hat unseren Aufenthalt über das Essen hinaus zu einem besonderem Erlebnis gemacht. Das gesamte Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Der Kamelführer Yousef hat mit seiner professionellen Führung uns als Highlight einen Kamelritt mit Sonnenuntergang ermöglicht, den wir so schnell nicht wieder vergessen werden. Wir haben uns auch als zwei Frauen sehr sicher und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Beeindruckend war auch, dass Omar unter anderem auch sehr gutes Deutsch und Spanisch spricht.

Wir würden empfehlen vor der Ankunft den Preis für den Aufenthalt, Aktivitäten und Transport genau zu erfragen, um genug Bargeld dabei zu haben. Wir persönlich waren am Ende mit dem Preis sehr zufrieden.

Camping posizionato in mezzo alle dune del Sahara, tutti molto professionali e gentili. Il fratello di Omar veramente simpatico e chiacchierone. La tenda riscaldata che nel deserto non è poco. Ci hanno messo a disposizione coperte aggiuntive e i loro cappotti tutti puliti e caldi. Ottima esperienza

Es ist ein super Erlebnis in der Wüste zu übernachten. Der Kamelritt und auch die Jeepfahrt waren super. Die Preise wurden im Voraus kommuniziert. Das Abendessen war sehr lecker. Es gibt noch einen Hund und eine Katze dort. Die Katze ist einfach zuckersüß und sehr lieb und verschmust wenn man mit ihr schmusen möchte 😊 Der Kontakt war einfach per WhatsApp. Wir waren im Dezember vor Ort, somit war es auch etwas kälter, vorallem Nachts. Wir haben aber Wärmflaschen bekommen. Sehr Sehr gut, dass die Unterkunft das hat! Großer Pluspunkt.

In der Dusche kommt nur sehr sehr wenig Wasser. Nicht weiters schlimm, da wir bereits damit gerechnet hatten in der Wüste. Aber es würde bei langen Haaren nicht ausreichen um das Shampoo wieder aus den Haaren zu bekommen. Die Betten sind sehr hart, aber das hatten wir eigentlich auch auf unserer Kompletten Marokko Reise so… Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen

This isn't so much about the accoms but more of the activities. We had a great time with the team in the Sahara. It costs an additional EUR 60 per person for the tea break, dinner, breakfast, jeep and camel ride at the glamp site (we paid EUR 8 for a tent). Food was adequate, but do bring along a headlamp! We saw a desert mouse while dining in the semi-dark. Also a good view of the Milky Way. We went for the sunrise camel ride and it was great. We also walked to one of the highest dunes near the place for sunset. The jeep dune rides were not as wild as the rides in the dunes of Qatar. Toilet was standard, whereas the bath, which is a bonus already, is a small trickle. We left our sedan at their designated parking spot in another resort, and they took us by the jeep. They have a small open animal enclosure at the back with goats, rabbits, chickens, a dog and a cat.

Nothing much. The glamp tent is very warm from absorbing the sun's heat all day, but becomes cool by the middle of the night.

Omar und seine Familie haben dieses schöne, kleine Camp während Corona aufgebaut. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Unterkunft haben wir über booking im Vorfeld gebucht. Alle Aktivitäten haben wir dann on top gebucht (Preise und Aktivitäten wurden uns im Vorfeld per whatsapp mitgeteilt). Wir sind mit einem Kamel 2.5 Stunden zum Camp geritten inkl. Stopps zum Sonnenuntergang. Heute waren wir bei Nomaden Familien und diversen anderen Spots. Zum Sonnenuntergang haben wir eine Quadtour mit Sandboarden gemacht. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, nachts gibt es Wärmflaschen auf Anfrage. Omar hat viele Tiere, wie Schafe, Ziegen, Hasen, die man anschauen und streicheln kann. Ich empfehle die Unterkunft unbedingt weiter. Es gibt WiFi, Strom und eine warme Dusche. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß.

Super klimat, warunki, czystość na najwyższym poziomie, ludzie którzy zrobią wszystko o co poprosisz, jak się dowiedzieli że syn ma urodziny to sami z siebie pojechali po torta i zrobili mega występy urodzinowe, nie biorąc ani grosza dodatkowo. Pyszne jedzenie, a przede wszystkim wspaniali ludzie!!!!! Polecam gorąco!

Tout était parfait ! C'était incroyable, toute l'équipe est au top, hyper réactive, à l'écoute, flexible, super pro. Les paysages et les activités proposées pour en prendre pleins les yeux sont exceptionnelles. Les personnes qui nous on accompagnees étaient juste magiques. On a trop rigolé et on s'est régalé. On était hors du temps dans une bulle que vous savez protéger. Vous avez tous étaient adorables. Merci Omar, Aziz, Said, l'équipe cuisine. Un grand MERCI à tous. Je vous recommanderai à 200%!!!

The camp itself was very well prepared, tents were huge with comfy beds, bathroom facilities good. Great to sit by the bonfire every night and sing. Also nice that there were boards for sandboarding available so we could have some fun on the dunes.

Unfortunately, some of the personnel at the camp, although very friendly and welcoming, was always drunk. You could smell alcohol from their breath while talking to them and, what's the worst and really unacceptable, they picked us up from the village and drove to the camp being so drunk, that they kept asking the same question over and over again, always forgetting it's already been asked and answered...

Correcte prijs aangezien je op voorhand op booking zelf al de prijs kan zien. Ze vragen niets extra zoals je bij de andere wel vaak hebt. Goede communicatie en heeel mooie tenten! Aanrader!!

We had a wonderful stay! The place has a great atmosphere — peaceful, clean, and very welcoming. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Everything was well organized and comfortable. I truly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and enjoy a great experience! 🌿✨

Everything's great..GREAT EXPERIENCE. If anybody is looking for a camp in the desert which give u a real desert evening..u have to choose this camp..staff,diner,rooms,beds,breakfast and position are top. We passed just one night, but the feelings we had...we really didn't want to leave. Beautiful night.

As it is incredibly difficult to find reliable info covering the different Merzouga camps here a detailed description (I stayed two nights): Location: the orange dunes are stunningly beautiful. You can easily hike into the dunes. Google location is accurate: https://maps.app.goo.gl/nZbr12UjdqupiCJT8?g_st=ipc Food: excellent and plenty food. Much better than what other camp’s reviews suggest! Same price as everywhere else: 15€ for each additional meal. Cleanliness: Even though being in the desert and sharing bathrooms with everyone this was still the cleanest stay I had in Morocco. Bathrooms were spotless and even smelled nice! Beds were clean! There are animals held close by and food being cooked in the semi-open, so you will find some flies buzzing about. Camp: By far more beautiful than all surrounding camps (I walked by them). It felt warm, cozy and welcoming. The others looked quite austere. Staff: very friendly and welcoming. If you are feeling antisocial their attempts to engage you might feel a bit over the top, but all in all excellent. At least two people speak English well. Activities: more or less same price as all camps. You will be informed about the package of 60€ for camel ride in, dinner, 4x4 back one day in advance. It is a bit short notice, but apparently better communicated than for most other camps. Sandboarding is free, day tour was 30/35€ pp. Don’t remember quad prices. There will be a bonfire and drumming in the evening. Duration: If you like some silence and are able to chill for a day, I’d definitely recommend two days. I added the second day spontaneously during breakfast.

These points apply to all camps, not just this one. Location: all camps are just outside the dunes. Apparently the government forbade being inside the dunes themselves. There are a lot of camps, so you will be seeing others 1-3 others. At the same time this means that the desert itself is more clean, feels more untouched and is more beautiful! Some quad tours can be quite loud. Communication: the common problem across all camps is missing / slow communication before your stay. Once you are there / about 1 day before, communication is great, but it is almost impossible to get questions answered beforehand.

- super bequeme Betten und große Zelte (eine kleine Ablagefläche wäre noch ein Bonus oder ein zweiter Kleiderständer) - leckeres und ausreichendes Fürhstück - Abendessen war auch mehr alss genug, frisch und lecker (aufpreis von 15€ mehr als gerechtfertigt) - Kamelritt in die Wüste zum Sonnenuntergang ein einmaliges Erlebnis (Aufrpeis) - bei Hitze kann man sich zum Pool des Hotels fahren lassen (Extragebühr) - Lagerfeuer mit Musik & Tanz auch ein tolles Erlebnis - die Gastgeber im Cmap sind unfassbar freundlich und zuvorkommend

Kind of obvious but still not expected was that you can see and hear the other camps.

Wat een geweldig kamp! Heen- en terugreis zijn een hele belevenis. Het kamp zelf is heel sfeervol en alles is goed verzorgd en iedereen is heel vriendelijk. Het eten is fantastisch en daarna kampvuur en muziek. Ik raad aan om 2 nachten te blijven!

Sehr schönes Wüstencamp am Rande der Wüste. Wirkte etwas kleiner als die anderen - die Camps liegen mit ausreichend Abstand nebeneinander. Nette Atmosphäre und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Die zusätzlichen Kosten für Kameltrek, Essen und Jeep sind transparent im Vorfeld ausgewiesen.

Nous avons vécu une expérience inoubliable, une arrivée en dromadaire magique, le personnel est accueillant SYMPATHIQUE ET TOUJOURS souriant... La nourriture était incroyable des repas copieux et diversifiés. Les soirées sont festives et enjouées! Le camp est maintenu très propre. Le prix booking est très attractif mais il faut prévoir de rajouter min 60 euros par personne pour l arrivée le dîner et le depart du camp. Toutes les activités sont en supplément C est à faire !!!

This is a wild experience. The camp is well maintained with quality beds, showers and bathrooms all in the middle of the sand dunes. You can see the milky way with your bare eyes at night. In the evening there is a camp fire, singing and playing as well as a chance to speak with the Berber nomads. After booking the stay the owners reply with the options of arranged transport to the camp, dinner and transport back as well as some extra activities. All of those are paied extra per person but it's worth it. The default packet (2h camel ride to camp with sunset in the desert, dinner, 4x4 jeep ride back from the camp) is 60 Euro per person. Sandbording is free. One can pay extra to drive quads or a dune buggy but those are more expensive. The parking location in Merzouga is easy to find and a car left there will be safe for sure.
