Loved our stay and how close it was to the Medina. The breakfast was beautiful - they went out of their way to accommodate with gluten free options.

Aircon was a little loud and rattled - but otherwise fantastic stay.

Nous avons été charmé par la beauté et la belle décoration raffinée du Riad, et accueilli par le personnel adorable et bienveillant. Notre chambre était vraiment ravissante dotée d’un grand lit avec une literie très confortable. Le petit déjeuner était tous les jours délicieux, et à 17h00 un jus de fruits frais nous était offert. Nous avons aussi apprécié l’appel de Pierre le propriétaire pour nous donner des informations concernant les différents lieux à visiter.Nous recommandons vivement ce Riad.

Le Riad était tout simplement exceptionnel ! C’est sans aucun doute l’un des meilleurs endroits où j’ai eu la chance de séjourner, tous pays confondus. Le cadre est magnifique, l’atmosphère est incroyable, mais surtout, l’équipe est absolument remarquable : attentionnée, chaleureuse, disponible et toujours aux petits soins. Nous avons eu un imprévu avec notre vol, nous obligeant à rester quelques heures après le check-out. Malgré le fait que nous ayons déjà rendu notre chambre, l’équipe nous a permis de rester, nous a servis et a continué à prendre soin de nous jusqu’à notre départ pour l’aéroport. Une attention exceptionnelle qui reflète parfaitement la qualité du service du Riad. Nous avons d’ailleurs tellement apprécié notre séjour que nous avons déjà prévu d’y retourner dès la fin de l’année !

Absolument rien ! Tout était parfait, de l’accueil jusqu’à notre départ. Une expérience qui a largement dépassé nos attentes.

Le Riad est incroyablement propre, le personnel au top de l’hospitalité et la serviabilité, situé en plein coeur de la médina, calme la nuit, n’hésitez pas une seconde!

La chambre était très jolie et propre, et la décoration du Riad magnifique.

From the moment my partner and I arrived at Riad Dar Chacha we felt welcome and at ease. The ambience in the riad was perfect, very relaxed whilst the building itself is gorgeous and decorated very tastefully. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room (Savannah) was immaculately clean and suited our needs perfectly. The bed was very comfy. The rooftop terrace is a fantastic place to enjoy breakfast or to relax away from the chaos of the Medina. It is a boutique hotel with only a few rooms, so you won't ever have to worry about being disturbed by large groups of other guests. The food was also delicious. Each morning of our stay began with a fabulous Moroccan breakfast including jams, spreads, pastries and eggs followed by mint tea. One evening, we decided to dine at the riad and I must say that it was exceptional. We had the chicken and lemon tagine and the beef and prune tagine. Both were excellent but the beef in particular was heavenly. Truthfully, The best meal that I ate throughout the trip to Marrakesh. It was capped off with a delicious fruit salad. The owner of the Riad, Pierre, is very knowledgeable and helpful. He was readily available via WhatsApp during our stay. Prior to our arrival, he had sent tips for tourists visiting the city and had arranged for a taxi to collect us from the airport. He is clearly very keen to look after his guests and to ensure that they have the best possible time during their stay. The riad is conveniently based on the south side of the Medina and not far from from the Kasbah district. It is only around a 10 minute walk to the Jemaa el-Fnaa, but the riad is still accessible for small vehicles. In summary, we absolutely loved Riad Dar Chacha. Part of me would like to keep it a secret all to ourselves, but that would be a huge disservice to Pierre and the wonderful staff. We would not hesitate to stay again and I hope that one day we will revisit the magical city of Marrakesh. Magnifique!

Fue un poco difícil comunicarnos en español con el personal del alojamiento.

Mohamed, Ilham, and Fatima were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. The hotel staff would offer complimentary juice from time to time, and it was the best juice we've ever had. We also loved the serene lobby/courtyard area.

Nothing substantial. Two minor things were: 1. There were quite a lot of bees on the rooftop during breakfast. 2. The hotel didn't have any conditioner. Again, no major deal-breakers. Would highly recommend this place!

Von der Buchung der Unterkunft bis zu unserer Ankunft stand ich in Kontakt mit Pierre. Er half mir bei der Planung unserer Reise und gab mir viele nützliche Informationen. Ich reservierte ein Abendessen für unseren ersten Abend im Riad sowie ein Mittagessen, bevor wir an unserem letzten Tag zum Flughafen aufbrachen. Nachdem ich in einigen der besten Restaurants von Marrakesch gegessen habe, kann ich definitiv sagen, dass die Gerichte im Riad einen sehr hohen Standard haben. Wir waren begeistert von der Sorgfalt und Aufmerksamkeit, mit der unser köstliches tägliches Frühstück zubereitet wurde. Die Lage auf der Dachterrasse war perfekt – auch einfach nur zum Entspannen und Lesen. Wir wurden mit täglich frischen Säften und kleinen Leckereien verwöhnt. Mohamed und seine Frau haben uns so herzlich behandelt. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas versteckt aber sehr zentral zum berühmten Marktplatz im Herzen von Marrakesch. Wir würden dieses besondere Riad nicht nur weiterempfehlen, sondern jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

Wenige Zimmer, daher sehr ruhig. Super Lage inmitten der Medina, aber weit genug am Rand, um auch mal Ruhe zu finden. Wunderschön und traditionell eingerichtete Zimmer, unglaublich freundliches und familiäres Personal, sehr gutes Frühstück und Abendessen. Ein Hammam sowie ein Massageangebot im Riad. Persönlicher Congierce-Service via WhatsApp mit super Restaurantempfehlungen und dauerhafter Erreichbarkeit. Sehr sauber und ordentlich.

Peut être un peu éloigné et dédale de rues un peu stressant de nuit. Mais permet aussi d'avoir moins de bruit. Et le riad est cependant exceptionnel.

The riad is beautiful. The staff were amazing in helping us with anything we needed. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast on the roof terrace was great. The Riad is a 10-minute walk to the centre of the Medina and souks.

Would've liked to have known we were booking the ground-floor room, but otherwise we were really happy.

Hospitality was great! Pierre and his staff are great (1000/10 the woman that helps there). They aren’t gonna doubt a second in helping you out with anything you might need. We arrive around 8am and they facilitate us our room by 9AM (instead of 3pm check in) and gave us a complimentary breakfasts in the rooftop. We also had a problem with a Sahara tour and Pierre help us to figure it out and seek a solution. Pierre will be in contact with you 24/7 for anything! Which we really appreciated it! We arrived in the afternoon for a shower and they brought us natural carrot/orange juice for the heat (?) - just amazing hospitality from the staff! The location is great! It’s close to souks, ATM and from where cars/taxi can park to pick you up or drop you off. It has many people walking through it during the day/night and many kids around! Which make it to feel even safer. They make you get the real Riad/Morocco experience! We later stayed in an even pricer Riad that we had booked prior and was SO disappointed when we compared to Dar Chacha!

The AC didn’t work properly - BUT we were there during a heat wave too (40’ degrees) and also comparing with everything else, it didn’t really matter much!

L’équipe suit la même philosophie : jus frais, sourires constants, et une attention sincère à chaque instant. Mention spéciale au gardien qui nous a préparé le petit déjeuner à 3h30 du matin, avant notre transfert jusqu’à l’aéroport qu’ils ont géré ! Un riad qu’on recommande à tout le monde, sans hésitation! ❤️

We loved every bit of it! From the delicious fresh breakfast served at the rooftop, to the welcome mint tea and snacks, the room decoration and comfortable beds. We also requested dinner our last night and it was amazing, highly recommended 😊. But our favourite part was the Riad staff which really went out of their way to make our stay special always with a smile and so much kindness ❤️

Wat hebben wij genoten van ons verblijf in deze prachtige Riad. Ondanks de late aankomst kregen we een warm welkom van gastheer Mohamed. Het diner gemaakt door Ilham werd geserveerd op het sfeervolle dakterras en was heerlijk! Het ontbijt idem dito! De kamer was groot, sfeervol ingericht en we hebben goed geslapen in het grote tweepersoonsbed. Wanneer ons Frans onvoldoende was, sprong Zineb bij die uitstekend Engels spreekt. Wat een ontzettend lief personeel! Bij aankomst na een lange dag kregen we verse jus d’orange aangeboden en was de kamer spik en span, met zelfs de kleding opgevouwen in de kast gelegd. De locatie was uitstekend. Het is heel makkelijk om via WhatsApp aan Pierre, de eigenaar, vragen te stellen en hij antwoordt direct. We komen graag terug!

Riad Dar Chacha was excellent! The staff was welcoming and accommodating right from the moment we checked in. The room was clean and beautiful. And the food surpassed all our expectations! We will certainly return during our next visit.

La ubicación está bien. Para llegar tenés que pasar por unos callejones oscuros, pero no aparece peligroso. El desayuno también fue completo. El dueño es una persona muy amable.

Este fue el segundo Riad en el que nos quedamos en Marrakech. Este era más caro por lo que creí que iba a ser mejor. Es muy inferior sl primero en todo sentido. 1. Es extremadamente pequeño, desde la habitación se escucha todo lo que pasa afuera, no sólo dentro del Riad sino en la calle!!! el primer día llegamos de horas de ruta cansadísimo y desde las siete de la tarde en adelante hasta las 10 de la noche escuchando los gritos de las personas que pasaban como a las motos, niños jugando al fútbol, pero todo está tan cerca de la ventana de la habitación que es como si estuvieras en la calle directamente. Además, a diferencia de otros Riads, las ventanas Dan hacia el exterior y no hacia el interior del mismo alojamiento. Esto hace que el ruido sea mucho mayor 2) No está decorado como un Rad de Marrakech, más como un hotel normal. De hecho las fotos que se ven en Booking lo hacen para muchísimo más lindo y grande de lo que es especialmente a la terraza. 3) Otra cosa que no nos gustó es que la habitación se cierra con un candado desde afuera. Si así como escuchas. Si bien esto puede parecer muy Cool lo cierto es que es la cosa más incómoda que puede existir. Cada vez que mi marido salía sin mí tenía que trabar la puerta desde adentro y dejarla sin candado, lo mismo cuando dormía. Y andar dejando el candado gigante en lugares especificos para no perderlo. 4) el Personal del hostal parece simpático, pero lo siento es que no hablan en inglés ni español por lo que es muy difícil comunicarse con ellos 5) las indicaciones para llegar no me aparecieron tan claras, llegué hasta el parking indicado y tuve que pedir que alguien venga a buscarme. Principalmente porque en las indicaciones me dice que tenía que caminar por una calle específica y las calles no tienen nombres. En conclusión, creo que la relación precio calidad no es buena en absoluto.

El Riad es precioso y la atención de su personal es excelente. El día de mi cumpleaños me tragaron un trozo de tarta y me cantaron el cumpleaños feliz, todo a modos de sorpresa cuando volvimos al Riad. Se portaron fenomenal con nosotros y sin duda lo recomendaríamos.

Perfectly located on the edge of the old medina, it’s spotlessly clean and offers an authentic, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Breakfast is delightful, and the homemade dinners on the rooftop—accompanied by birdsong—are something special. What really makes this place stand out is the team: Pierre and his staff (Zeinab, Ilham, and Ahmed) make you feel like a valued guest in their own home, with warmth and professionalism that’s hard to match. It’s so peaceful and cocooning that you could easily spend your whole stay here—relaxing on the terrace, reading in the shade, enjoying a hammam or massage in the spa next door—only venturing out when you feel like it (the souks are just a short walk away).

Riad très bien placé au coeur de Marrakech, à proximité de nombreux lieux touristiques. Très bon accueil à l'arrivée et tout au long du séjour. Très bons petits-déjeuners et personnel arrangeant sur les horaires. Riad très propre et agréable, et une belle terrasse pour profiter du petit-déjeuner ou lire au soleil.

La chambre n'était pas très bien insonorisée (bien que ça semble être le cas de la plupart des établissements dans "l'ancien" au Maroc). Le prix était un peu élevé malgré les très bonnes prestations.

The property you can tell is well maintained with love and care. It’s very clean and well organized. The owner took the time to greet us and everyone from the host, the women who cooked, cleaned, and maintained the property - they were all so genuinely nice and kind.

One of the most beautiful, clean, and welcoming accommodations I’ve ever experienced. The place looks exactly like the photos—if not even better—and always smells amazing. Daily cleaning is a big plus and truly appreciated. The location is perfect: right in the city center, surrounded by terraces and restaurants, and very close to the souk. The staff is exceptional—especially Abderrazaq, who was incredibly helpful, always asking about our day and constantly being there for anything we needed. He is truly an amazing person and made our days better. The ladies there were also very kind and helpful. They even prepared breakfast early for us when we had a trip, and the owner personally checked in to make sure everything was perfect. Breakfast was varied and very filling. I rarely write reviews, but this place truly deserves a perfect score.

The riad is absolutely beautiful, like something straight out of One Thousand and One Nights. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the main square, and easily accessible by taxi from the nearby plaza. The rooftop breakfast was wonderful, enjoyed with stunning views. The bed was incredibly comfortable and generously sized.

Breakfast was fine, but fried eggs were totally over cooked. Tea was a low quality tea dust tea bag, served with a cafetiere of hot water, not even a tea pot. Terrace was nice, if a bit tired Staff guy was pleasant, though English was extremely limited

What was significantly missing was the hospitality that Morocco is known for. We arranged a taxi from the train station. The welcome from the staff was literally non-existent. The guy who met us didn't even say hello. We we ushered in and shown to fill in some forms. Other staff walked by, no greetings. After 10 minutes waiting I was abruptly handed a phone, at the other end what sounded like a chatbot, reading a script, but it was apparently the owner Pierre (never to be seen). Honestly, it was the most impersonal, generic, insincere and quite baffling "welcome" though it was far from welcoming. A scripted blurb about how to get to the main square, the free juice flavours they were offering and not much else. For the remainder of our stay Pierre was absent, only available via whatsapp, and then not to very happy to help. When I enquired about a taxi to airport, I was directed to complete an online form, which didn't work on my phone - you couldn't see if the destination was the airport or train station. When I asked Pierre to clarify, I was given a diatribe of texts - my phone screen must be too small, 3500 other people have done it, and he asking where I needed to go when I was talking about flights - the train station or the airport? Too busy and uninterested to even read my message before replying. He then quickly deleted his sarcastic and rude texts, but I took screen shots. Really, quite an angry man.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this stay truly stood out. My experience at Riad Da Chacha was exceptional—far exceeding standard international hotels, especially as a solo female traveler. Arrival and departure Everything was seamlessly arranged. Despite landing before 7 a.m., Mr. Pierre organized a taxi pickup, and I was personally guided to the riad. I was welcomed with a fresh, tailored breakfast, followed by a thoughtful introduction to the neighborhood. After a relaxing hammam and massage next door, I ended the day with an outstanding tagine on the rooftop. Departure was just as smooth. During my stay Mr. Pierre and his team went above and beyond. Transportation in Marrakech can be unreliable, but he ensured I always had dependable options. When I encountered a last-minute issue with an important dinner reservation, he handled it with impressive resourcefulness and kindness. This level of personalized care is rare, even in top-tier hotels. The entire team was attentive and genuinely invested in making my stay special. We loved everything - from breakfast and dinner, to our room and the position of the Riad! The terrace was something else too! But the thing that wowed us the most is the kindness and hospitality of the staff in the Riad. Mohamed, Ilham, Ahmed and others went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. Thank you once again, we will certainly recommend Riad Dar Chacha to all our friends and family. :)

I absolutely loved my stay at Riad Da Chacha. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is perfect, peaceful and away from the busy main streets, yet easily accessible, with taxis stopping just a few meters away. The riad is beautiful, quiet, and chic, with exquisite details in every corner. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, the bed was super comfy, and the rooftop terrace, filled with lush plants, felt like a serene garden. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff made me feel truly welcome and at ease. I highly recommend it and would gladly stay again.

Für uns das beste Riad in Marrakesch! Das Essen ist phänomenal, das Ambiente umwerfend, der Service zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Wir haben hier leider nur eine Nacht verbringen können, haben aber hier das Abendessen sowie das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse voll genossen. Die Kommunikation mit Pierre hat uns geholfen, dass wir uns eingeladen fühlen. Unser Dank geht auch an das Team im Riad. Wir würden sehr gerne wieder hierhin kommen.

De inrichting was erg gezellig, echt Marokkaans. We hebben bij aankomst een heerlijke lunch gegeten op het dakterras.

Ein wunderschönes Riad mit toller Terrasse. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Personal und Pierre waren immer hilfsbereit und stets präsent, wenn man etwas brauchte. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse war wunderbar. Tagsüber gab es frisch gepressten Saft und auf Wunsch auch einen köstlichen Pfefferminztee. Wir würden wieder buchen, aber dann nur ein Zimmer in der 1. ETAGE Die Lage ist perfekt, besser geht's nicht.

Wir hatten das Zimmer im Erdgeschoss, dieses war recht klein, eine Ablage für Kleider oder eine zweite Sitzmöglichkeit wäre wünschenswert gewesen. Insgesamt roch es etwas muffig, das störte uns.

I love this Riad! It was my first time spending time in the Medina of Marrakech and staying at this place was an amazing addition to that expereince. People that worked at the Riad were incredibly nice and felt like I was getting top notch care. Oh and the breakfast was AMAZING!

It was an unforgettable experience, I loved every bit of it. From the moment we arrived at the riad , we received a welcome tea and even a complementary breakfast as we came early. When we entered the riad it was like entering in a hidden oasis- the smell is amazing, and the water in the flowing water in the middle creates an idyllic atmosphere. Everything is thought to the last detail. The rooms are very nice - we had flowers, welcome sweets, water - everything was clean and super cozy. The terrace is very nice too - we enjoyed to have breakfast there and to chill after a busy day in the medina. It is a very cozy vibe. The personnel is really amazing. You had always someone downstairs to help us, to assist us with anything starting from tea to even washing and cutting the strawberries I got at the market. Pierre - the manager of the riad - is an experience in itself - he welcomed us and even gave us a mini virtual tour of the medina - where to go , what to see. I had a full introduction to Marrakesh and to the riad - and he was very very professional and you can see he did the extra mile to make sure we are comfortable. He helped us to rent a car, and to reserve a hamam - which I definitely recommend. The hammam is opposite the riad and it is a must do experience. You will feel pampered. The breakfast at the riad was great - I was looking forward to it every morning . And every day we got a juice in the afternoon. Honestly I could have just stayed at the riad these two days to enjoy it. I really recommend this riad.

Ein tolles Quartier, in dem wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt haben! Das Team ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, zwischendurch wurde uns immer wieder frischer Saft angeboten. Das Frühstück auf der wunderschönen Dachterrasse war sehr gut und ausreichend für einen guten Start in den Tag. Die Zimmer sind sauber und schön eingerichtet. Man merkt natürlich, dass es alte Bausubstanz ist wie überall in der Medina, sprich es ist etwas hellhöriger, aber das weiß man im Vorhinein und ist deswegen nicht negativ zu werten. Pierre hatte uns ein Taxi vom/zum Flughafen organisiert, was auch einwandfrei geklappt hat. Jemand von Pierres Team hat uns vom Taxi abgeholt und zum Riad geführt, sodass wir uns nicht lange auf die Suche machen mussten. Die direkte Nachbarschaft ist zwar nicht besonders schön, die Lage ist aber dennoch gut, weil man in wenigen Minuten auf den Hauptwegen der Medina ist und die nahegelegene Zufahrt eine angenehme An- und Abreise ermöglicht (auch für Touren wurden wir quasi direkt vorm Riad abgeholt). Alles in allem ein tolles Riad!!

Adresse au top, le personnel d'une gentillesse incroyable, on était au petit soin. Belle situation dans la médina, mais à l'abris du bruit, et à taille humaine, 5 chambres. Un petit déjeuné maison sur la terrasse , excellent!! L'échange avec l'hote ( Pierre) est très fluide via whatsapp. Je recommande les yeux fermés! Pierre, le patron nous a organisé le transfert de l'aéroport jusqu'à cette adresse en van privé. Parfait. Nous avon même pu accéder à notre chambre le matin vers 9h30 à notre arrivée avec un petit déjeuner offert en terrasse! We had the most amazing stay at Riad Dar Chacha. We were very warmly welcomed by the team and then had a really great call from owner, Pierre, who guided us through his WhatsApp map of detailed things to do on our stay, which was so helpful. The Riad is beautiful and the bedroom exceptional, we slept so well in the most comfortable bed! The, rooftop terrace is a delight and a welcome break from the madness of the souks. The breakfasts we're, also delicious and plentiful and set us up for the day. We would highly recommend staying at this Riad.

Riad Dar Chacha was a magical place. The interior is very elegant, the staff was super friendly. General Manager Pierre gave us a lot of infos about the city and sights we could visit. The Riad was perfectly located in the centre of the Medina. Don‘t miss out on the delicious breakfast. All in all a wonderful experience.

Fantastic property with the great location, style listed as you will see the Morocco style which it was a great start of your holiday. Great location as it not far to go any famous places, Pierre is the greatest owner, all the staff were so nice and went extra miles with our stay. Pierre was also help is with all the transport between different places/cities which make our holiday hassle free. We had dinner in the Riad at the first night which was so authentic and delicious.

This is a beautifully restored riad in a great location in the Medina. The staff were super hospitable, the breakfast was fantastic and our room was utterly stunning. Every detail was carefully chosen

Good breakfast. Lovely to eat on the roof top terrace. Loved the fresh juice mix available in the day. The guide that Pierre sent through was very helpful - we loved visiting the Secret Garden, and the route guidance to the Medina was most useful. We were provided with an early breakfast without asking as we had an early start for our flight.Staff were very accommodating. Our dinner on the terrace was super. One of our best overall meals.

The shower was a bit weak - the worst we encountered, but it did the job. No signage on the front of the Riad - we had to ask a small child to take us there even though we were standing only 3m away! This made a really annoying start to our stay. There was a lot of noise outside until quite late at night as the local small children play outside until midnight.

Great place and good staff. Organised airport transfer for only 150 mcd too and walked us to the taxi outside. They cook good meals and breakfast too. Beds comfortable and rooms clean.

All good. Entrance is down an alleyway like all Riads. Not a problem and was easy to find.

Wow we had an absolutely incredible stay at Riad Dar Chacha which far exceeded my expectations! We couldn’t have wished for more attentive and kind hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. Pierre was on hand to help with anything we needed. We were given detailed tips about what to do in the area, our hosts arranged taxis for us and we had the most delicious home cooked dinner at the riad in a romantic setting with mood lighting and rose petals - HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The breakfast, mint tea and juice was incredible, still dreaming of it now. I cannot wait to come again and I would recommend Riad Dar Chacha to anyone. A calm oasis in a vibrant bustling city.

We should have stayed longer! Couldn’t fault anything.
