I loved the view over the canal, the amazing brunch restaurant that was close by (and dinner restaurant). Actually, there are a few great restaurants. It is close to good parks for running. It is walking distance with some effort to the train station. The hosts were very responsive and impressive.

Ok, we just need to get the stairs out of the way. If you are able bodied, there should be no problem, but the stairs are not for someone frail. You need to be able to carry your suitcase up two winding flights of fairly narrow steep stairs. Also, many of Amsterdam’s attractions are 20-30 minutes walk from the Canal House. That really suited us and we enjoyed the walk, and exercise, but may not suit everybody.

Die Unterkunft liegt perfekt, man kann alles zu Fuß machen. Außerdem ist das Zimmer, extrem gemütlich, man fühlt sich gleich wohl. Das Bett ist extrem bequem und generell ist die Ausstattung edel. Der check-in ist auch super easy und Christian ein sehr aufmerksamer und bemühter Gastgeber.

Great location in a nice part of town. Owners were easily available for questions. They sent someone over when we arrived to carry in luggage (2nd floor walkup) and someone showed up to help take luggage down.

Really good communication from Christian who gave us clear instructions on how to access the property and our room was ready early for us so we were able to check in early. The location was a 20 mins walk to everything and was nice because it wasnt too touristy and had a good vibe. No hotel faciliites but we knew that and as such the price was really good value for money

Clean room and lovely location. It’s about a 15-20 mins walk from central station. Beautiful views of canal, wifi in the room and smart tv so could log into Netflix/Prime

The room was very clean and the location was really convenient. Christian, our host, was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this place!

To get to our apt we had to climb a long winding staircase with very narrow steps. Getting the luggage up and down was a struggle.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und das Bett war bequem. Christian ist ein toller Gastgeber und sehr bemüht seine Gäste zu unterstützen. Wir durften netterweise unser Gepäck am Anreisetag sowie am Abreisetag abstellen. Somit ist die Unterkunft sehr gut geeignet für einen Kurztrip nach Amsterdam. Wirklich eine tolle Unterkunft!

Die Lage war zwar schön ruhig und relativ zentral, hätte zum Stadtkern allerdings noch etwas näher sein können.

Lovely owner, got an upgrade and everything was stellar

Lovely space overlooking the canal! Squeaky clean and fresh. Though it's off the beaten trail the bakery and restaurants across the street were amazing.

Like all canal houses the stairs are very steep.

Our host was more than helpful when we dropped off our luggage before checkin AND left it after checkout for a few hours. We greatly appreciated the recommended list of restaurants nearby.

The stairs to the apartment are steep, but we knew that ahead of time, so it was no problem for us.

The room is a little small, but it is beautifully furnished and decorated. The view is absolutely stunning. Our host Christian was very understanding, attentive, and thoughtful. The complimentary treats were a lovely touch. He also tried to respond to all of our messages quickly and in great detail.

I can hardly think of anything negative. Everything was wonderful. This is not a major issue at all, but I’m mentioning it as a possible improvement: when taking a shower, if you close the shower curtain, the motion sensor sometimes seems to stop detecting that someone is in the bathroom, and the lights may turn off.

The location was excellent, away from the super busy areas, but easy walking distance to everything. Great restaurants in the area. Christian was an excellent host. He gave us some great suggestions for restaurants and sight seeing.

We visited during a heat wave. The room didn’t have air conditioning, but did cool down overnight.

The owner is very friendly and cooperative. Place is very nice and clean. Wine 🍷 on the house 🏠

Christian is a lovely host. We really enjoyed the neighborhood and ate at several of the restaurants close by. Very accessible to many other parts of town. Pretty view right on the canal.

Bathroom a bit small and with few amenities.

The property was in a lovely area with a view of the canal. It was fun to watch the boats go by. There are a number of good restaurants nearby. The host’s communication was excellent.

This was clear from the description and reviews: the bathroom is very small and the unit requires that you climb a couple floors of narrow winding stairs.

Lovely view and Lovely host. Christian treated us very well and very accommodating. Bottle of red was a nice touch.

Grossartige, dennoch ruhige Lage

Die Lage direkt am Kanal, sodass man aus dem Bett des in der 1. Etage befindlichen Zimmers das Treiben am Kanal beobachten konnte. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und die nespressokomportible Kaffeemaschine samt Zubehör war das Tüpfelchen auf dem I. Es war alles sehr sauber. Von der Unterkunft kann man das Zentrum mühelos zu Fuss erreichen.

Excellent location and very kind host. Very clean and efficient use of space. The canal view is fantastic. You do not need TV/youtoube/tiktok/instagram/facebook - just sit and watch the life happening in a quiet, but central location in Amsterdam. It is nearby Naval and Nemo/Science Museum. Aprox. 20-25 minutes walking from Central Station.

The stairs are very steep - challenging for our older companion, but she managed. The bathroom is very well appointed but tiny. On the other hand , the whole idea when booking the Canal House Inn was to have an authentic dutch living experience.

My wife and I spent 3 very enjoyable nights at the Canal House Inn. The location is great, it is easy to walk to most of the main tourist sites and is close to bus and tram routes and only 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes bus ride from the central railway station. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped and is a good size with a great view over the canal. The communication with Christian was very good with quick and helpful responses. There are several good quality restaurants nearby within easy walking distance. We would highly recommend and would definitely book again if we were to return to Amsterdam.

Petite chambre très charmante avec literie confortable dans un quartier calme mais près de tout à pied. Hôte facilement joignable en tout temps. Très propre avec une belle vue sur un canal.

Chambre située au 2ieme étage avec un escalier très étroit en colimaçon. Peut être difficile si vous avez de grosses valises. Mais nous avions des petites valises heureusement. Je me remets d'une chirurgie au genou et je me déplace avec une canne, mais bon, je le savais à l'avance qu'il y avait un escalier. Donc prévoir si vous avez des difficultés à monter des escaliers. Ça ne m'a pas empêché d'apprécier cette chambre et j'ai trouvé ça rigolo de voir ce minuscule escaliers dans ma situation actuelle 🙂

アムステルダム中央駅から徒歩15分圏内 ・どこへ行くにも便利な立地 ・とても清潔でコンパクトなワンルーム ・素晴らしいロケーション（近くに公園／スーパー／カフェ／レストランあり） ・パノラマの窓からカナルの美しい景色を楽しめる ・設備が充実（コーヒーカプセル、紅茶、ウェルカムのミニワインボトル、お水、アムステルダム名物のミニ・ストロープワッフル、ミニ冷蔵庫付き）。このワッフルがとても美味しくて、自分用にもスーパーで購入しました！ ・オーナーのChristianさんのお人柄が素晴らしく、とても気遣いがあり親切。チェックインを早めてくださり、チェックアウトも柔軟に対応してくれました ・ワイングラスは上質なものを使用しており、トイレットペーパーの犬柄など、細部にまでこだわりを感じます ・オーナーはスティーブというハンサムで愛嬌のある犬を飼っていて、会えたら超ラッキーです♡幸運の犬！

特に気になる点はありませんでしたが、あえて挙げるとすれば、階段がかなり急な点です！お気をつけて！ また、シャワーは固定式（いわゆるイタリアンシャワー）のためハンドシャワーはなく、髪を濡らしたくない方はシャワーキャップを持参されると安心です。

La struttura molto accogliente, camera dalle dimensioni giuste e dotata di tutto (bollitore, phon, macchina caffè nespresso). Christian è un host impeccabile. Gentile, educato e disponibile, sempre pronto a chiedere se tutto fosse ok e fornirci informazioni. Ci ha anche fatto lasciare i bagagli subito al mattino prima del check-in e permesso di tenere la camera qualche ora in più per prendere il volo nel pomeriggio. La vista sul canale Top. La stazione centrale dista 15 minuti a piedi e il centro altrettanto. È comunque vicino a molte fermate del trasporto pubblico

Unica “pecca” sono state le tende poco oscuranti; ma facilmente risolvibile con una mascherina per la notte.

Christian had thought of everything, toiletries, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities, tissues and storage for my bags. The room was very comfortable and with an excellent view of the bridge and canal. It was spotlessly clean and modern. I would just advise about the very steep staircase, almost vertical!. Its just a little precarious with large suitcases and bags.

Would have like to stay longer but check out was 11.00am

La struttura è ristrutturata recentemente. La stanza non è molto grande ma è accogliente, con tutto il necessario. La vista sul canale è molto bella. Il proprietario Christian è stato molto gentile nel fornire tutte le indicazioni e chiedendo sempre se avessimo bisogno di qualcosa.

Steep stairs but that’s everywhere in Amsterdam

Christian ist ein sehr herzlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, der mir tolle Tipps für meinen Aufenthalt gegeben hat. Mehrere gute Restaurants in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt.

Perfect and very accommodating host who welcomed us on arrival. The location is perfect, a lovely quite local area of Amsterdam, away from the tourist rush and yet close to the centre. All recommendations provided by the host were excellent.

Nothing, the site was well described, showing the challenge of the steep starecase, which is part of the old Amsterdam falir, so nothing was disappointing. Everything was perfect.

Christian fue muy amable en todo momento y nos ayudó en todo lo posible. Además, las vistas del alojamiento son estupendas y la ubicación es buena.

El baño es demasiado pequeño y la alcachofa de la ducha está fija al techo, lo que para mí fue un inconveniente. La limpieza podría mejorar en algunos aspectos como, por ejemplo, la cortina de la ducha. Por otra parte, la cama se hunde a los lados.

Short break for me and my girlfriend. The property was very clean and comfortable. Christian went to many lengths to ensure exact instruction so we could get from airport to property. We were greeted with a complimentary red wine and a large bottle of champagne for New Year’s Eve. I was lucky enough to meet Christian and he was super friendly. Highly recommend the property and Christian. We will be booking again next time we go to Amsterdam.

Our stay with Christian was simply wonderful! Christian is an outstanding and attentive host. He reached out to us right after we booked the apartment, kept in touch until our arrival, welcomed us personally, and made sure we felt comfortable. We were upgraded to an absolutely perfect apartment – newly renovated, very spacious, and right in the city center – just 10 minutes walk from everything. The apartment was spotless, clean, and very comfortable. If Christian offers you an upgrade – say yes. Thank you for a perfect stay!

Кристиан - Очень внимательный и обходительный хозяин. Принял, все показал, объяснил, сделал массу полезных рекомендаций по ресторанам, магазинам и пр. Нам Кристиан предложил отдельную квартиру в самом историческом центре Амстердама, с видом на канал.. Чисто, уютно, просторно. В пешеходной доступности все самые известные достопримечательности. Дом Анны Франк совсем рядом. Сам район с огромным количеством ресторанов, супермаркетов.

This is the only place to book in Amsterdam. Amazing position and surroundings, extremely safe area with all needed services nearby. The view is one in a million, gives you the real Canal House experience.

We were upgraded to a fabulous apartment! Christian met us when we arrived and checked us in straight away. We were given tips for the area and felt very welcomed. The apartment was stunning, the location was amazing. Thank you!

Aufenthalt vom 19. September. Christian der Gastgeber war äusserst sympathisch und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir hatten ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Canal House Inn sehr weiterempfehlen. Sehr zentral gelegen. Danke Christian und bis auf ein weiteres Mal ;-)

Wir haben nichts auszusetzen, ganz im Gegenteil, es war alles wirklich super.

Christian was a very accomodating host, he communicated clearly how to reach the accommodation when arriving in Amsterdam, & in all comms with me. The accomodation was well located & he provided great amenities. We loved this accomodation & would certainly stay here again & highly recommend

The staircase leading up to the apartment could be challenging to some, but we are not youthful but very active and it wasn’t an issue to us

Decir que te encuentran súper bien situado, a solo 15-20 minutos de todos los puntos de interés. La habitación dispone de baño con todo lo necesario para el aseo personal. También tiene cafetera y calentador de agua, Las vistas son maravillosas hacia el canal. Cristian es un excelente anfitrión, te hace sentir como en casa, te ofrece cafés e infusiones y limpieza cada día por medio. Además nos permitió dejar la maleta hasta más tarde ya que nuestro vuelo salía por la noche. Toda una experiencia recomendable! Si volvemos a Ámsterdam, sin duda RESERVAREMOS ESTE ALOJAMIENTO

La posizione della struttura è ottima. Affaccia sul canale e si trova molto vicina al centro della città, giusto a due passi dal Museo Marittimo. Nei dintorni c'è tutto quello che serve. Locali per colazione, brunch, aperitivo e cena.
