Beautiful setting with a private little patio.Very neat and clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation. Well stocked with everything we needed. The host was very welcoming and helpful. Close to the beach and within a few minutes’ drive of the town and restaurants. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Great location, very quite and relaxed courtyard garden area, our second stay in one week! Thanks for having us, we really enjoyed staying there and even got to see the sunset over Kapati Island.

Door weersomstandigheden kwamen wij een dag eerder aan, dit was geen probleem. We konden zelfs in het grotere verblijf, super ruim! Inventaris is meer dan compleet, zelfs croissants voor in de airfryer, erg lekker.

This accommodation had such a great feel. Situated near to the beach there was delightful outdoor seating area where you could sit to eat or just relax and read a book while taking in the sea air. The room was impeccably clean and the bed super comfortable. Hosts were lovely and respected our privacy. Would definitely return in the future.

The accomodation met all our needs. I did note there was no air con. We didn't need it but in the heat of Summer the room may be fairly warm. A fan was provided.

Location worked well for me as I needed accommodation near the Waikanae Golf Club. It is a very pleasant beach side spot.

Location for early trip to ferry. Very good continental breakfast and coffee maker. Immaculately clean and very homely. Compact perfect for 1 or 2 people on shorter stay. Fully recommended.

Everything. So clean. So comfy. The hosts really had thought of everything. The hosts were so lovely. Didn’t hover. Knowledgeable of the area and even suggested an alternative route for our next bit of travel, and we are so glad they did as it was stunning.

This is a lovely place to stay. The studio has everything you need for a couple of nights. It was clean, private and the breakfast supplies were delicious. Sandy and Ray are lovely hosts and their poodle Louis is adorable. It's just a short walk to the beach. Perfect for a relaxed getaway. Highly recommend.

Owners were very nice 🙂 Room was very clean and breakfast was very nice. Need to update the TV so it has Chromecast as nowadays everyone expects to connect to social media, YouTube and streaming like Netflix. Also need to update the towels. Carpet would also be nice. The deck needs more privacy. Overall good.

I booked on the afternoon I wanted to stay due to change of plans but host communication was still prompt & great - helpful instructions for finding studio. Comfortable bed & clean facilities. Birdsong was lovely. Quiet neighbourhood. Off-street parking. Good breakfast.

Huge bed and gorgeous shower :) yummy croissant and cereal breakfast with yogurt and fruit .. and the best selection of coffee and Tea .. Highly recommended ❤️

Excellent variety for breakfast, in fact the toast was so nice we had to buy a loaf of the bread. We were staying for 4 days, so used it all up, as a couple of nights when we didn't feel like cooking just ate what was in the unit. The croissants were extremely good, and along with 3 varieties of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, 2 varieties of jam, plus butter we didn't starve. The little unit was cosy and more than adequate.

The only thing that we had a problem with was the TV, saw the owner who fixed it easily, the only other thing was operating the bathroom heater. I couldn't get that to work. Operator more than appliance I would think

A beautiful little piece of paradise. This accommodation was exceptional. Many little extras, made it feel like a home away from home. Comfy , huge bed. Fantastic shower, just a really special place to stay.

One of the best experiences we've had in a long time. We loved the accommodation itself (everything has been well thought out and catered for), we loved the location (a 3min walk to the beach or 4min drive to Waikanae), and we loved the hosts (who are very helpful and friendly). If it's a warm day it's lovely to sit on the deck and read a book in the sun, or if it's cooler it's relaxing to sit on the chairs inside. The kitchenette was very well stocked with utensils, plates, mugs, glasses and even small jars of breakfast cereals and salt, pepper etc. The fridge had a generous bottle of milk, toppings for toast, and a small pottle of yoghurt, and the freezer had two slices of bread and two croissants for breakfast. All the appliances were modern. The shower is very spacious and the hosts kindly supply lovely hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and even shaving cream. The hosts really go above and beyond what most hosts do.

It was a lovely place to stay, if your using the ferry as we were and getting to Wellington late afternoon you can be there in a hour. Out of the city and ready to head north next morning, after a walk along the beach. Would definately stay there again.

Breakfast choices that are supplied are delicous and an amazing variety. Near the Shore suits us perfectly when we want a wee weekend break at Peka Peka beach with friends. This is a perfect little spot in a quiet beach town. Our only complaint is due to a very late ferry, we arrived rather too late to really enjoy it. Sandy was very accommodating with a late check-in, sending clear instructions on how to access the suite at night, and providing prompt communication. We arrived even later than expected at 1 am and we were so grateful to find such a cosy, clean suite. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and it was incredibly quiet outside. We appreciated the breakfast items (croissants, yogurt, cereals, fruits, toast, coffee, tea, milk etc) and the shower was amazing. There are lots of nice touches (games and DVDs in the shelf, extra blankets, lovely shampoo) and there is a cute private patio to enjoy. Free easy parking right outside. And to top it off, it's a short walk to a spectacularly long sandy beach for a morning stroll!
