Reviewed Jul 2, 2026The main impression I get from this motel is of brightness and cleanliness. It is not modern, but the bed was comfortable, also the sofa, and everywhere, especially the bathroom, was spotless. The reception was warm and friendly.
I don't have anything to complain about, I stayed there a couple of years ago when the current owners had just taken over, and I would happily do so again.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026The room was comfortable and had the basic items to have a meal. The bed was very comfortable.
The bath was very big and tall, it was good to see there was a hand rail but another would have been better because of the height of the bath. There was no non slip mat for the bath/shower.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026Everything, the room was comfortable and warm. The bedding was crisp and clean. Having a private outdoor area was a bonus. It met both myself and my partners needs. The hosts are very friendly and outgoing and made us very welcome. The area was quiet and peaceful. This would be our go to motel when we visit Waikanae. It was close to the shopping center and all the places we wanted to visit. Also very close to the train station.
There wasnt anything not to like.
