Esther and Tom are the most fabulous hosts. Their property is ideally located and immaculate. The bed was large and comfortable, the furnishings were modern, the bathroom was spacious and up to date. We travelled in winter and there was heating in the room, an electric blanket on the bed, extra blankets in the wardrobe. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, with a cooked option. There were plenty of little touches that made the stay extra special, like fruit in the room, and a small port decanter each evening.

This is very much the place to stay if visiting Napier. Esther and her husband are terrific hosts and add in a very pleasant welcome drinks session around 5 pm. The situation is right on the seafront and a pleasant walk into the old town. Breakfasts were superb. It is very much at the upper end of the price range but we felt that it was worth it. Esther was particularly helpful in suggesting a guided tour of the town. Not something we would normally do, but this was different with just four guests sharing a personalised tour in an open top 1940 Packard car with a very experienced and helpful guide.

We had a wonderful stay at 415 Marine Parade during our honeymoon in New Zealand. Esther and Tom are truly kind and welcoming hosts who made our stay extra special. The room was cozy, comfortable, and well equipped. We especially loved the lovely view from the balcony, which made it a perfect place to relax.

Tom and Esther were attentive and thoughtful hosts. We enjoyed our time in Napier and much was due to their recommendations! The breakfasts, midday treats and happy hour drinks did not disappoint either. We recommend highly 415 Marine Parade — the only B and B experience out of several tries that my husband enjoyed!

It is a lovely property; beautifully designed and with lots of thoughtful touches: a lift (even though there are only 2floors), welcome drinks and coffee/snacks available all day. The hosts are super welcoming and breakfast is great. It’s within walking distance of restaurants and bars

Personal service. Our hostess made us a cup of tea on our arrival. The happy hour with the hosts and other guests was a pleasant way to conclude the day. The carafe of port in our room when we returned from dinner was a nice touch.

Beautifully done up B & B. Every detail is looked after from comfortable beds, robes, great shower & treats! Large room upstairs with small sitting alcove & terrace overlooking the water across the street. Even has elevator to upper floor. Hosts are charming & breakfast was delicious with fresh squeezed OJ, cereal & fresh fruit, scones & jam & poached egg if you wanted. Hosts assisted with airport pick up, restaurant recommendations & could not have been more helpful Easy 20 min walk into town much is a delight

The 415 Marine Parade is an absolutely outstanding accommodation with Esther and Tom beeing wonderful hosts who pamper you so beautifully with lovely breakfasts, freshly baked cakes and a surprise awaiting you on your bedside table in the evening! This accommodation has been a jewel among the accommodations on our tour.

Esther and Tom had thought of everything they could to make guests feel welcome and cared for.

Tom and Estha were amazing hosts - very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They provided a fantastic breakfast and great eating out tips. The afternoon drinks were an excellent way to get to know the hosts and anyone else staying at the time from all corners of the world. Everything was to a very high standard but with down to earth humour and vibe.

From the warm welcome, to the flexibility in choosing our room, to the evening aperitif together, to the help in finding restaurants and sights, to the beautifully presented glass of port before bedtime, accompanied by chocolate of course, to the excellent breakfast with homemade jam, everything was superb. Esther and Tom are wonderful, cheerful hosts. We will definitely be back one day.

A classically decorated but modern home that was well kept and very clean. The home cooked breakfast was delicious. The location was fantastic - beach side but also eight minutes walk into Napier centre. Esther and Tom were the real highlight, however. We loved getting to know them over the generous welcome drinks they put on our first evening.

The fact that we couldn't stay longer! But genuinely, everything was perfect.

superb breakfast -nothing too much trouble and Esther and Tom made us feel so welcome into their B&B that by day 3 it felt like we belonged there . This was our first stay in a B&B and it was a very relaxing and most enjoyable stay -thanks to our hosts who provided cups of green tea, lemon water and tasty home cooking delights on offer all day .

Esther and Tom are exceptional hosts, and made our stay a highlight of our time in Hawke’s Bay. Our room was beautiful and comfortable and a wonderful place to stay. The breakfast was outstanding and all the other little touches such as a tipple of port in our room in the evening really exceeded our expectations. The location is lovely and easy access to everything.

The owners Tom and Esther are fantastic host's and the accommodation is perfectly located for views and walking distances to most of the best Napier has to offer. Would not stay anywhere else in Napier, 10/10 would recommend everytime.

Immerse yourself in the impeccably renovated and lovingly restored period house on Marine Parade. Esther and Tom have created a sublimely welcoming home away from home bed and breakfast where no stone was left unturned. From the fine bed and bath linens to the towel warmer to the home made curated daily tea cakes and banquet style breakfasts. You will want for nothing whilst being transferred back to a more genteel time of relaxing conversation with your hosts and other guests and relish in the time honored and valued traditions of fine living of a bygone era. The nightly evening turn down service w/chocolates accompanied by the silver tray of port wine was priceless. And all this a mere stones throw from the most exquisite historically preserved Deco town I can recall peppered w/wonderful restaurant choices. A most memorable visit!

Absolutely lovely stay! Beautiful property, the hosts could not be nicer if they tried, wine in the evening and scrumptious breakfast held in a beautiful living/dining room. Truly an amazing experience!

Outstanding in every way. The owners Esther and Tom are the best hosts we have encountered and I’ve used BNBs a lot, including UK. We enjoyed a welcome drink with them in the afternoon and Esther is a wonderful cook. She makes beautiful cakes each day leaving for guests to enjoy! Breakfast was superb. It was a real treat staying here. I wish we had longer to stay!

415 Marine Parade is a beautiful property which has been renovated to the highest standard. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. There is a lounge and a deck that are free to be used at any time. Free parking is right outside. Ester and Tom have thought of absolutely everything and treat you more like family friends coming to stay, rather than hotel guests. There is Freshly baked cake in the afternoon and breakfast was outstanding! It was perfect.

Absolutely fabulous! This is the best B&B in which we have stayed in 35 years of travel! So many extras; it was such a pleasure to find one treat after another! They use local NZ products which are wonderful. The fresh cake or cookies every day were top quality. Little appetizers at 5pm with wine if desired. A plethora of non-alcohol beverages available, great snacks in the room. Amazing bathroom amenities. Large, spacious, very well appointed rooms. A perfect location. The hosts could not have been kinder nor more helpful. I’d give them a 20 out of 10 if I could.

Tom & Esther made us feel so welcome. It was more like we were invited to their home instead of a hotel.

Everything! This is an 11/10 6* experience. Esther and Tom are exceptional hosts and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. They not only picked me up and dropped me off at the bus station but also helped with restaurant reservations. Meet and greet fellow guests with a drink at 5pm was a great way to get to know fellow travellers. The place itself was beautiful and in a perfect location. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in NZ. I could go on and on about just how good this is but go and see for yourself!

The experience with the charming hosts Esther and Tom was just amazing. You truly feel like an awaited guest, and part of the experience are the shared moments with the hosts and/ or the other guests. Beautiful historic inn, great location directly across Marine Parade from the beach. Wonderful continental and cooked breakfasts with homemade baked goods. Tom and Esther are welcoming, gracious and fun hosts!

I have stayed in Air Bnbs all around Europe, NZ and Australia and Esther and Tom are the best hosts I have ever experienced. Breakfast is exceptional. The rooms are absolutely spotless. This is also a great choice if you are traveling alone as guests are invited to enjoy a wine in the living room every evening. Great Indonesian restaurant next door and 10 min walk to other restaurants.

Very friendly owners of the house! We have got a very warm welcome with cocktails, canapés and an outstanding breakfast. The room and bathroom were clean and sufficient.

415 Marine Parade was a real find! Tom and Esther are delightful, welcoming hosts. They have thought of absolutely everything their guests might need and have created a warm and exceptionally comfortable environment. The rooms are all newly and tastefully decorated, the beds are super comfortable and everything is spotless. Breakfasts are a convivial start to the day, often shared with other guests. We stumbled upon this hotel by accident, when little was available during a busy weekend in Napier. We are so glad we did - we would have enjoyed Napier no matter what, but staying here was the icing on the cake!

Everything was beyond expectation. From the welcome, pre-dinner drinks, numerous extras in the room, home made delicious preserves and other fresh breakfast items, through to the fascinating company and hosting, the whole experience was quite exquisite. Thank you Esther and Tom!

Wonderful breakfast and lovely location. Close to town and things to do. Tom and Esther go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and if you're not familiar with the area they are able to point you to things you might like to go and see.

Beautifully updated period property right on the seafront. Lovely 5pm wine and a chat with other guests. Drinks and cakes available all day in the lounge.

Just A maz ING !!! What a treat to stay. A wonderful welcoming place in the centre of Napier. Close by the sea, the beach, the beautiful boulevard, the restaurants and the shops. It immediately felt like home. Esther and Tom are the most lovely hosts, you’ll may experience. Nothing is too much trouble, just perfect in every way. Esther has amazing home cooking and fresh baking available for the mornings and afternoon. They are also full of local knowledge and trivia, if you need any recommendation for visiting places in the area. The house and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Fantastic bathrooms with walk-in shower, heated floors and luxurious toiletries. So many lovely things are presented, like homemade cakes or cookies when you arrive back at home in the afternoon. Freshly made, fruit salads, cakes, jams, and bread in the morning with the choice of either cooked or continental breakfast. Drinking tea or wine in the afternoon with all sorts of freshly made nibbles. Port and chocolates at bedtime. We’ve stayed at many 5 star accomodations in the world , but this place is so much more…… Words fail us; you have to see and experience it for yourself! Therefore, we would encourage anyone visiting Napier in New Zealand to treat themselves to this quintessential experience. Our stay at this luxury accomodation, 415 Marine Parade was definitely one of the most memorable stays of our holiday in New Zealand. A wonderfully restored Victorian house. Room: comfortable, cosy, plush with lovely little details in sitting colours, sea view. Bathroom: heated floor and towel rack, toiletries, rain shower, lighting bathrobes. Dining room: comfortable, coffee, tea, water & snacks, sun deck. Excellent breakfast, afternoon drinks with canapés.

An exceptional place to stay. Beautifully refurbished property, amazing attention to detail, superb location, warm, friendly and generous hosts. Cake and tea on arrival and whenever you want. Wine and drinks served each night: all complimentary. Home baking for breakfast with different selection each day. Helpful suggestions for activities and help with making reservations. The rooms and bathrooms are fantastic and opening out on to the veranda via French shutters. We’ve been travelling for ten weeks now and 415 Marine Parade is accommodation not to be missed. Napier is also a place not to be missed.

We were so lucky to meet Ester and Tom, they are the best hosts and now friends!!!! They had other guest couples from Germany and two others from NZ at same time, so much fun time times to discuss so many topics (tried to avoid politics {;o))) ) . Again, they are amazing hosts; taking time in the evening to chat with us over a glass of wine. The bedroom was beautifully decorated with a really comfy bed & lovely... I love the details of the room and building, warming towel rack, beautiful details on room trim and tiles, everything was so very well detailed. Our experience was amazing with the host, guests, and the property. We had such an absolutely wonderful time with our stay. Best Stay in NZ for us!!!! 10 of 10!! Ester and Tom .... Here the hosts are exceptionally warm and friendly. Our room was well equipped, small details matter! Breakfast was enormous, fresh cooked and generous , the warm afternoon tea cake was exceptional. Well done hosts and thanks for making our Napier stay so comfortable.
