Bks Egmont Motor Lodge

Stayed here in the past with hubby so was happy to come back. Good for an overnight stay with kids.

Our go to when visiting NP. Great location. Always clean and quiet.

It was spot on for its price. Everything we needed was available. We brought home-cooked food so we didn't need to leave the place to eat comfortably. We had a very nice stay and were well-rested after hiking.

Staff were absolutely amazing during our stay! Female owner went out of her way to accommodate us and our needs. 10 out of 10. Room was nice and clean, spa bath was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

we liked the friendly manner of the owner as we came in off the street to ask about a room and he had one left and he showed us it and we were more than happy. It was very clean and warm and we both enjoyed our stay.

Location to my son's school, friendly staff, clean room. Comfy chair & couch. Kitchen had good selection of utensils.Has sky tv & movie channels. Had a good stay overall & would stay again.

Room & towels had musty smell. Just needs a good airing & towels to be dried longer on heat setting to avoid damp smell.

Great location - could easily walk to the Bowl of Brooklands. Room was clean and tidy Host was lovely - she was even able to lend us a phone charger!

Nous avons été upgradés dans un logement avec 3 chambres ce qui était une très bonne surprise, nos enfants étaient ravis d'avoir leur chambre. Tout était propre, bien aménagé et la cuisine très bien équipée. L'hôtel est au calme.

So handy to walk to our concert at the Bowl of Brooklands - and at the end of the night - the shower and comfortable bed were very much appreciated.

They are very flexible and accommodating, we need to cancel our booking, and they did refund most of our payment and just charge us for 1 night which is acceptable I believe. thank you and will definitely book them again.

Minimal toilet paper. No milk provided for a tea or coffee.

It is close to places we visited. It is a nice place to stay. Seldom you can find an accomodation to fit 6 people.

It would be the shower needs upgrade but its no biggie. All is well.

I like that they have a dishwasher and a freestanding cooker in the room. We can cook or bake inside the room which was not available to any other motel we have been to.

The shower is a bit of a downside. Its an old version, which I am not used to.

Super ideal location, walking distance to town and light festival.

Nice big rooms, comfortable beds. Stoked with not only the extra table fans but the fact there was actual air-conditioning not to mention ceiling fans to help counteract the heat at times. The kitchenette with appliances was great aswell.

Very central, walking distance to Pukekura Park for the festival of the lights.

The rooms were lovely and spacious, plenty of room in the lounge and bedroom and the bathroom was not cramped at all like most other motels. It was airy and pleasant, the view not bad, and the traffic noise was not as bad as I feared it might be so close to the road. It was a perfect location for our needs too - walking distance to Pukekura Park and very accessible.

The water tasted disgusting. I don't know if it's a New Plymouth thing but at the motel it tasted like it came straight from a pond. The shower also had a mind of its own and kept turning itself off.

That I could stay here with 6 of us in one unit! Hard to find when you have a big family.

The owners were so good. They helped us store our bikes and made our stay welcoming. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Handy to park, ours sons bed was in the lounge and ours was a separate room. Spa bath was nice. Room was spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Hello good morning this is Mr William Finlay on the 8th of November 2025 I had a reservation for one night checked out on the 9th of November I arrived late to the BKS Egmont motor Lodge staff was very polite beautiful mannerism very welcoming even though I was running late for my check in time at the time I was checking in with my mum who is wheelchaired bound she also loved the lodge and wants to return and make reservation in the future thank you very much for an amazing one night stay I definitely will be making future reservations again thank you Mr William Finlay

Booking . com got my instructions incorrect and booked the wrong unit

Room was comfortable

Filters on a/c unit blocked. Clean them myself.

Very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and handy kitchenette.ample parking.

Some of this was booking.coms fault not being in correct room as picked a the time of booking. The motel used to be owned by family and the information book in the motel had not been updated. Inside of the rooms we dirty including dust in various areas. The so called wheelchair suitable room for my mother was no designed as such. We were booked for four nights but moved to another location because it would be too stressful to stay. When I arrived to check in the office was locked and nobody was on site and I had to ring for someone to come from offsite to assist
