Muy buena experiencia. La ubicación es excelente y el anfitrión es una persona encantadora, muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Nos hizo sentir muy cómodos durante toda la estancia. Sin duda, lo recomendamos y volveríamos.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui per 3 notti e ci siamo trovate benissimo. La struttura è semplice e spartana, ma ha tutto l’essenziale e si trova in un’ottima posizione, a circa 5 minuti in macchina dal Lion Rock e 15 dal Pidurangala. Noi avevamo un driver privato, quindi gli spostamenti sono stati molto semplici. Abbiamo scelto la colazione, davvero super abbondante e ottima, con piatti tipici dolci e salati, tè e caffè nero. Il vero punto di forza è però la famiglia che gestisce la struttura: ci hanno fatto sentire a casa fin dal primo momento, accompagnandoci con macchina o tuk tuk, interessandosi sempre alle nostre giornate e intervenendo immediatamente quando abbiamo avuto un problema con lo scarico del bagno. La loro ospitalità ci ha regalato anche un momento che difficilmente dimenticheremo: ci hanno invitato alla festa di compleanno a sorpresa dell’host, facendoci mangiare e bere insieme a tutta la famiglia come se ne facessimo parte. Sono disponibili a organizzare praticamente qualsiasi esperienza nella zona. Noi abbiamo fatto con loro una cooking class con una famiglia locale, un massaggio in un centro sicuro e un safari a Minneriya, tutto a prezzi molto vantaggiosi. La camera dispone di spazio esterno privato, aria condizionata, zanzariera e adattatori per le prese. L’unica pecca sono le docce, senza tenda o vetro, che bagnano un po’ il bagno; viene comunque fornita una scopetta per ripulire facilmente. Il pagamento è richiesto in contanti e in valuta locale, quindi meglio organizzarsi prima. Se tornassimo a Sigiriya, soggiorneremmo sicuramente di nuovo qui. Una struttura semplice, ma soprattutto una famiglia speciale che ci ha fatto sentire davvero a casa. Consigliatissimo!

Quando siamo arrivati la stanza era piena di insetti, quando abbiamo aperto là zanzariera sopra il letto era polverosa e piena di insetti morti. Siamo rimasti colpiti dalle recensioni che la descrivono come una struttura molto pulita perché a parer nostro non corrisponde alla realtà. Proprietari un po invadenti, hanno cercato per tutto il tempo di “venderci” dei pacchetti/servizi. Va bene rendersi disponibili ma non assillanti….

We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of fresh local food to start the day. What really made our experience special was the kindness and hospitality of the owners. They were incredibly friendly, always willing to help, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sigiriya and would definitely stay here again!

It was an incredible location!! Walking distance to everything and it was really a peaceful and beautiful property.

There were a lot of ants in our rooms which was a bit unfortunate.

It was very close to Sigiriya Lion's Rock. Restaurants are also walkable. The owners were friendly and helpful. The room and washroom are clean.

No WiFi nearly the whole time so I had to buy extra data for e sim- apparently an issue with company, other places it was working so not sure what the issue was. I was trying to work while there also. The walls are very thin- I could hear every word from outside my room where the family play/ chat etc. Toilet makes the loudest flush I’ve ever heard!

Chambre d’hôtes à proximité du parc Sigiriya, vue sur le Rocher, très propre, famille adorable. Nous avons fait une magnifique visite du Rocher du Lion avec le grand-père, guide officiel du parc, et en français !

We had some difficulties getting hot water and getting the toilet to flush. There were also a lot of ants in the room.

Perfekt wie beschrieben. Ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit großem und, vor allem im Vergleich zu unseren sonstigen Hotels, schönen Bad. Alles ist in sehr gutem Zustand. Ein umfangreiches leckeres Frühstück gibt es in dieser Familienunterkunft. Sie standen mit vielen Tipps zur Verfügung. Die Safari über die Familie organisiert war ein Highlight. Die Lage ist top. Ruhig und dennoch können Restaurants, der Felsen, der Tempel gut zu Fuß erreicht werden. Die Terrasse vor dem Zimmer lädt zum Sitzen ein.

The host was very friendly and offered us welcome drinks. The location was great and really close to the main Sigiriya area with many restaurants nearby. We haven’t tried the breakfast because we had other plans for that day but from the pictures it looked nice. The room was big enough with a good A/C.

When we arrived at our room we were negatively surprised to find ants almost everywhere in the room. Also on the bed as the ants were coming inside the room from the ceiling and falling down everywhere in the room. When we let the host know about the situation he was also surprised and tried to clean it. However after almost an hour the ants were all back. Even with a mosquito net the small ants found their way in our bed. It’s a very unpleasant night sleep.

Location to Sigirya is a plus and breakfast is also very good, they can also arrange taxi service if needed, but we have not used it.

Unfortunately the room was not very clean and the bed sheets where a bit stained, the bathroom sink was leaking on the ground so even if closed the floor was still wet. Moreover, there are a lot of wild dogs wandering around the village and it's not rare that sometimes some dog sneaks into the properties and can scare people at night, so if you are a bit sensible on the matter please consider this carefully.

I proprietari sono molto carini, disponibili e hanno offerto un'ottima colazione abbondante e tipica. La stanza era abbastanza pulita e dotata di aria condizionata. Il wifi funzionava bene. La posizione è molto comoda per effettuare le escursioni nei dintorni.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was an excellent choice for the price (around USD 20 per night). The hospitality of the family who runs the place is outstanding – always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with recommendations, transport, or activities. The location is perfect for visiting Sigiriya and the surrounding area, in a quiet spot but still close to everything. The room and beds are simple but comfortable, matching the price, and the cleanliness was impeccable. A great option for anyone looking for basic comfort, warm hospitality, and unbeatable value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at Sigiriya Amenity Home Stay. The location was ideal — just a short distance from both Sigiriya and Pidurangala. The hosts were incredibly warm and accommodating, making us feel right at home. And the breakfast? Absolutely lovely — a perfect start to the day. Highly recommended!

The room was a decent size. The breakfast included was very nice. The location was good with lots of nice restaurants nearby. It was close to Lions rock.

There were lots of ants in the room but once we mentioned it to the staff they were very quick to sort it out. The host was friendly but a little bit pushy for booking activities.

Very nice and clean place, with spacious room. Very nice open area for breakfast, which was very tasty. Location wise is perfect for going to a restaurant or bar after the hike and easy access to lion’s rock. Very nice owners.

The owner was very pleasant and he made us feel welcome. He was happy to help make bookings to go to the Rock, but we had already had a guide/driver. We couldnt have dinner there but he recommended some eateries 200 metres down the road.

The host family was really nice and welcoming. We also appreciated the welcoming drink on arrival. The room is spacious and from terrace we had a good view on the Sigiriya Rock. The space where you will have breakfast doesn't look like in the pictures though, all rooms will have breakfast in the same spot and from there you won't see Sigiriya Rock. The host family was very helpful in answering all of our questions and helped us organizing a great safari (if you can choose we'd recommend trying to go in the morning because when we went at 1:30 pm, the park was very crowded with other jeeps).

Unfortunately the room smelled musty and the ceiling had some mold on it. We did not feel comfortable in the room because it felt like we were breathing moldy air all the time. The room cleary needs some renovation to get rid of the mold. When we arrived, the host offered us free rides with his tuktuk but when we asked him, he just organized us an overpriced tuktuk ride.

The location is perfect, just a short walk to Lion's Rock, and it's also conveniently close to a variety of coffee shops and restaurants. The room is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and a great way to start the day.

I’m not sure I would be comfortable to be as a solo traveler here. The owner was a bit insistent about seeing my tattoos, telling me to wear shorter clothes to show them off. I understand that you can have an attraction to tattoos, but I felt uncomfortable and I don't like people touching my body without asking me to see the tattoos too.

Good budget friendly place to stay very near to lion's rock. Host helped us sorting out a plan for our lion's rock visit so that we can check out on time next day. Very good delicious and filing breakfast. Big, cozy and comfortable room with all facilities. Nearby within walking distance many good restaurants are there also. All in all , we had a good experience at Amenity homestay.

We (two friends) stayed here for two nights. The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. The air conditioning worked well, and the WiFi was excellent. The location is nicely central, within walking distance of great restaurants. The owners were very hospitable. They helped us with issues we had with our tuk-tuk and even cooked us a delicious dinner in the evening. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Highly recommended! The homestay also offers activities at a good price.

A lovely place to stay. The town it is in has loads of great restaurants and it is so close to Lion’s rock. The hosts were lovely. The breakfast was delicious and the room was very clean.

I didn't like the gentleman hosts aggressive attitude trying to sell his Safari tours.. it was border line offensive.

Very close to all of the great food and very close to the tourist attractions room was nice and clean. Post provided us with charger to use as our charger did not work. Breakfast was lovely.

This is such a lovely secluded hideaway located just 5 mins walk from the restaurants and shops in Sigiriya. The staff are so lovely and accommodating and we booked a fantastic afternoon safari to Kadulla National Park through them, even pointing us towards the park that currently had more elephants. The breakfast was substantial and very tasty and it was a lovely stay overall. For us, they really went above and beyond. We accidentally left a Kindle behind and they held onto it for almost a month, passing it to a friend of ours who has been staying with them this week. This is so appreciated and not something everyone would do. Thank you so much! Highly recommend staying here!

Very lovely wife. Went out of way to help. It was very close to Sigiriya reataurants. Breakfast was very good. The room and bathroom were clean. Outdoor verandah with chairs great. The outdoor dining area was very lovely, relaxing. It has so much potential but needs fine tuning. Give water, a decent bed sheet, a kettle. It wouldn't cost that much more, and perhaps we would have paid some more.

The room was big enough for 2 people, but 4 would be very cramped with luggage. The bottom bed sheet barely fitted on bed and kept coming loose in the night. The air conditioner, although worked well, blew directly on to bed a night. Unable to redirect it. There was no fan, and no kettle as advertised. They said they would give us boiling water for a hot drink, but they were not available to do so for us. We didn't sleep well at all for the two nights we were there.it was not a comfortable stay.

The place is an authentic home stay with a beautiful and lively garden. You coudl see a lot of birds and squirrels. There are great restaurant in the neighbourhood as well. Breakfast is included in the price, which was hearty and delicious. Our host gave us a ride to the Lion Rock the next day morning.

Hosts were fantastic! Very friendly and helpful, found all the good spots to visit and even made sure we had takeaway breakfast ready so we could catch an early bus. Perfect location and place to stay!
