Olive Tree Boutique Hotel

Lovely spacious rooms and relaxing outdoor area. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. It’s the 4th time we chose to stay at Olive tree boutique. Parking safe and easily accessible too.

Lack of attention to the room we booked to what we were given. Us having to correct it. Bed was not comfortable at all with the mattress sagging one side looking very flat , bedding had small little holes. Towels had some light stains. 2 of the 4 wine glasses was dirty.

The property is tires and is in need for some upgrades

Great people great atmosphere , unfortunate that they cant refund for 2 people who did not make it as it was done through booking.com. so i wont book with them again . I have upcoming booking which i will do throught he property myself as they would have refunded but not possible because of an outsid booking system so i lost R1800

Bella the manager was excellent when we checked in. The staff over the weekend in charge was not so good.

The weekend staff in charge was not great. Nobody at the front desk. Assistant Manager was not that helpful.

The location was good, unfortunately had to leave very early and could not enjoy the breakfast.

Abbiamo prenotato una stanza matrimoniale con letti singoli e siamo stati alloggiati in una stanza quadrupla con un solo bagno insieme a dei nostri amici che avevano prenotato lo stesso albergo perché non avevano più stanze . Per scusarsi ci hanno offerto la colazione.

Some sheer curtains on the French windows leading on to the pool area would add privacy. The alternative means closing the heavy curtains and blocking all natural light in the room.

Good location in central Paarl, nice original building, well maintained

When we arrived we were told there was a plumber fixing something in our room and we’d need to wait until they were finished to move into the room - this was inconvenient, but understandable. We then found out that the previous guests had not vacated the room and some were still in it- not sure why the staff lied about this. I their credit they did try to make it up to us with free breakfast; the breakfast was good. Unfortunately the stay was negatively affected by our arrival experience

Unfortunately our two rooms (Room 1 and 2) had a communal living area with two other rooms. This wasn't disclosed at the time of booking. The guest in Room 3 made a hell of a noise from 3am Sunday morning. He had lost his key so staff had to help him with another set. Although this is by no means the fault of the establishment, lights were being put on and off in the communal living area with lots of noise and the guest also didn't close his bedroom door. It was impossible to get any sleep... If I had the option, I would have preferred rooms that weren't part of a communal living area. Braai wasn't cleaned. Pillows are a bit flat, should probably be replaced.

Parking is a little bit of a problem

Booking in and out was absolutely seamless – quick, easy, and stress-free. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel special. This was my fourth stay at Olive Tree, and each time it truly feels like coming home. The guesthouse is perfectly located in the heart of Paarl, making it convenient for exploring the area. It’s also in a very safe neighborhood, which adds to the comfort of the stay. I would highly recommend Olive Tree Guesthouse to anyone visiting Paarl – whether for business or leisure. It’s a place where hospitality meets homeliness, and I’ll definitely be back again!

I got a warm welcome from the gentleman at reception, helped me to my room and showed me around. Assisted me with parking closer to my room and provided me with a key for the gate. Exceptional experience and friendly staff.

We really loved how comfortable the place was. It was spotless, and the aircons in every room were a lifesaver because Paarl was scorching hot. We were in town for a wedding, and since no kids were allowed at the celebration, our children stayed behind at the accommodation. They were safe, and we felt completely comfortable leaving them there.

Very noisy room that seems to back onto staff quarters. Could hear people in kitchen and child crying in day and night. Door wtih glass window seemed to back onto kitchen facilities. Room was next to electronic access gate with cars in and out. Very noisy and disturbing. Sleep was disturbed. The toilet and shower was part of the bedroom room and not a separate untit. Very unpleasant with such a small room. This was not made clear at time of booking. Sash windows very old and poorley maintainted. Struggled to close and lock them upon arrivial in evening. 1st morning - left message with staff on duty to ask manager to call me at work and requested another room. Staff on duty did advise that another room was open. No response from manager on duty. Manager was not on duty at 8:30. 1st night returned to room after work to find cleaners had left window wide open for anyone to come in and take our things left in room. No security bars on sash windows 3rd morning - again manager was not on duty by 9:00. I found that the room was not accurately advertised and that the stay was noisy and unpleasant. What made things even more disappointing is that the manager was late to the office 2 of the 3 mornings we tried to ask for assistance and that the staff on duty were either not trained adequently or no willing to assist.

Parking not sufficient / big enough to cater for larger vehicles. Found a scorpion in our room and door lock did’nt work

Staff were really helpful and friend. Place was clean.

1. Could not enjoy the television as the DSTV connection was offline. The gentleman at the reception said it was due to the weather. That was kind of strange. 2. Room 16 - The king size bed was really uncomfortable. Due to the fact that it sunk in on both sides. Owners need to look at replacing it. 3. On the last day the electricity went out, not sure why but communication from the owner would have been appreciated.

Sommige dingen net niet goed afgewerkt. Keuken uitrusting is minimaal. Geen scherp mesje of vaatdoekje/handdoek/theedoek aanwezig. Zwembad beetje vies en al onze badkleding vergeeld.

Everything was super. Friendly staff, very good facilities.

It’s old, everything seems like it was an after thought. The beds were boats. The other tenants smoking outside but it comes into the rooms.

The location was quiet and accessible, safe parking and great amenities. The rain shower was incredible. I recommend a downstairs room by the pool.

The place has a tranquil feel.

The staff, especially the ones that clean and provide breakfast, never friendly faces their service is slow. Last day of breakfast me and this family even contemplated going to ask for breakfast after having wait more than 20minutes. Very cold service, they kill the whole vibe of the place.
