Reviewed Jun 30, 2026We had a wonderful stay at Aan de Paarlberg. The property is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by lovely gardens that create a relaxing atmosphere. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, making check-in and check-out effortless. The location is excellent—close to Paarl's attractions while still feeling private and tranquil. Overall, it offered great value for money, and we would happily return.

Room 3. There is no microwave and no space in bathroom to towel u down. And no mat for shower when getting out. And the frosted door let in light at night and i struggled sleeping with light.

Leider war das 1.Zimmer eher schlicht und lieblos ohne jegliche Aussicht... Es ist recht hellhörig im Haus.

The breakfast wasn’t the best. No milk and no fruit other than apples. Only other thing was it would have been good to have some input from the owner , particularly as the staff, who were lovely, didn’t have good English. We emailed the owner re a query and got no response

My room was a little spartan. While clean and with a comfortable bed, the bathroom was tiny and there were few spaces (apart from the floor) to put things.

Reviewed Nov 29, 2025Eine schöne Unterkunft, alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Wir hatten ein sehr kleines Badezimmer, aber funktional. Es gab ein einfaches, gutes Frühstück und,das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Ausblick auf Paarl von der Terrasse ist umwerfend, die fantastische Umgebung mit Weingütern leicht zu erreichen. Insgesamt eine sehr gute Wahl und auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Reviewed Nov 22, 2025Unterkunft hatte einen schönen Ausblick, geräumiges Zimmer. Und wir konnten nach Rücksprache 45 min. lönger bleiben beim Checkout.
Man hat das Gefühl, dass man bei einer Familie wohnt, deren nicht besonders freundlichen halbwüchsigen Söhne im Gemeinschaftsbereich auf dem Sofa herumlümmeln und nicht mal grüssen. Außerdem gibt es in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft ca. 4-5 Hunde, deren Bellkonzerte einen IN und um 5:30 Uhr morgens AUS dem Schlaf bellen. Wenig Privatsphäre.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2025What an Incredible stay alongside the mountain in Paarl. It was fantastic and was pure luxury staying in that room. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were so friendly. My Little one absolutely LOVED the room and Bathroom and has been asking when are we going back ;) Such a lovely stay and will definitely be going back there again.

It would have been great if a bag of wood for the fireplace was included. A microwave in the room would have also been great. The room was not thoroughly cleaned before our check-in. There were noticeable spiderwebs in the ceiling by the door as you enter the room. The toilet seat was also not fitted properly which made sitting a bit awkward.

Reviewed Jan 5, 2025The accommodation for New Year's Eve was a gift to our daughter who could not go away for the holiday and this review is their report of their stay. They had 2 rooms for 2 adults and a child. They called shortly after they arrived there- telling how beautiful it is: everything from the view, rooms, garden with swimming pool and the area where the guesthouse is. The dining room and verandah are available for guest to eat at night. The New Year was awaited here while enjoying the stunning view of the Paarl valley. Even though it was New Year and most places are short-staffed, the staff were super friendly and check in and parking were without problems. The cooked breakfast was perfect. Cereals were also available. They were fortunate to even have a jacuzzi in their room. The guesthouse was recently renovated by new owners and is highly recommended for comfortable rooms, stunning views and a beautiful quiet area of the town. Value for money!
This is a steep area high up against Paarl Mountain. People who have difficulty with stairs may struggle to use the stairs. There are however rooms at street level with safe parking. It may be a good idea to book one of these rooms and still enjoy this stunning guesthouse

With the high standards and beautiful views you would expect an excellent breakfast. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. Very low budget and and inattentive staff. If you looking for a beautiful clean place this is for you! But don't have any expectations when you go down for breakfast.
