Das Goddess Kandy ist ein tolles, wunderschönes Hotel etwas außerhalb vom Trouble in Kandy. Die Zimmer und das Hotel selbst, wurde mit ganz viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, Antiquitäten etc.., man fühlt sich dort sehr willkommen. Das Hotel liegt zwar etwas außerhalb, dafür konnte man sich dort wunderbar erholen und einfach entspannen und den Garten und Pool genießen.

Erg schone accommodatie met een enorm leuke sfeer. Toen we aankwamen stond er super fijne muziek op en hing er een fijne geur. Dit zette gelijk de toon waardoor we een enorm relaxte tijd hadden.

Nous avons tout adoré au Goddess Kandy, de la déco sublime, à la piscine, à la gentillesse du staff. Tout était parfait et comme le lieu est a 20mn de kandy cela en fait un spot parfait pour se détendre, bien manger et se relaxer a la piscine après avoir marché et visité kandy.

Absolutely lovely place. The design is beautiful and very stylish, and staying here feels a little like stepping into a slice of Sri Lankan history. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the owner Gaya was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. A special mention has to go to the dog, who was absolutely lovely! We miss our own pets whenever we travel, so having such a sweet dog around made the stay feel even more special and a little more like home. A beautiful, characterful place with wonderful people. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is beautiful. They have clearly taken a lot of time to make a very special relaxing place. The room was stunning, we felt like we were staying in a very expensive and exclusive hotel, lots of little extras in the room to make you feel comfortable. The staff were so welcoming and made us feel right at home - they could not do enough for us! We were greeted by their beautiful kitty and dog Hazel. The breakfast was delicious, very fresh and plenty of choice. The communal areas are really relaxing, books and games and even a pool table, perfect for an evening of unwinding after a busy day in the city.

De afstand naar de stad ivm het drukke verkeer...

Het is een prachtig verblijf, waar je je meer dan welkom voelt. De kamer was groot en netjes! Het ontbijt is super lekker, evenals het diner ‘s avonds. Het verblijf ligt buiten de stad, maar dat vonden we helemaal niet erg. Je komt steeds terug in de rust.

Er zijn weinig stopcontacten in de kamer. Voor de rest alles prima!

The staff is very welcoming and caring. They were very friendly and supportive (they arranged transportation to Badulla). The place is well maintained and the design is beautiful. All details are well chosen

We did not have hot water, however the lovely staff tried to fix it but unfortunately it did not went successfull. The shower was hardly dripping with the hot water.

Apart from the beautiful place, the biggest plus here is the staff! They made our stay 100% feels like we are home or a part of their family. Kavi, Tharusi and Gaya are the best, along with the other beautiful people working there. 100/10

Tout ! On devait rester une nuit et avons choisi de prolonger avec une nuit supplémentaire juste pour profiter des lieux L’équipe est au petit soin, repas parfait on était seuls dans cette très belle demeure décorée avec beaucoup de goût une expérience mémorable pour nous 🥰🇱🇰

OMG, I could list so many things I loved about this stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease—like we were being welcomed by family. There’s also the most gorgeous pup and cutest kitten on the property, which just made it feel even more like home. We were greeted with two king coconuts and had our bags taken up to our room. The host then recommended dinner for us—a traditional Sri Lankan curry spread—with a live musician setting the vibe. It was such a special experience. The next morning, we spent some time playing pool in the main hangout area, had a swim in their beautiful pool, and enjoyed a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast before heading off. The vibes here are immaculate—there’s always soft background music, and the staff are incredibly attentive. I’m so sad we only booked one night. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone—whether you’re travelling solo or in a group. They truly make you feel at home. Thank you so much ❤️

Had the most incredible stay at goddess!! The staff are super lovely, always happy to chat. The room is beautiful, as well as all the other spaces to relax. The fish curry and local breakfast were delicious. Hazel and Kitty are adorable!

Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön, wir wurden von Kavindu an der Bushaltestelle abgeholt und Gaya begrüsste und herzlich. Vor Allem jedoch war Kavindu äusserst hilfsbereit und immer für uns da - ein grosses Lob an ihn. Die Lage war toll (nicht zu sehr im Getümmel aber man ist schnell im Zentrum). Kandy erreicht man in 30 min. mit dem Tuktuk, die Tee-Fabrik ist zu Fuss erreichbar und der Botanische Garten in 15 min. mit dem Tuktuk. Wir haben uns spontan entschieden nochmals eine Nacht zu bleiben. Können es nur empfehlen.

We had such a great start to our family trip in Sri Lanka at this beautiful little hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and relaxed. The garden is absolutely stunning, green, and perfectly maintained. The 2 rooms were very comfortable and pleasant, ideal for our family stay. The food was also delicious, with great flavors and fresh ingredients. A perfect first stop to begin our Sri Lankan adventure we would definitely recommend it 👍🏻

Tolles Ambiente ein bisschen abseits der hektischen Stadt Kandy! Traumhaftes Anwesen!

Leider gab es kein Moskitonetz, die Preise fürs Essen sind völlig übertrieben hoch für die Verhältnisse in Sri Lanka.

This is a beautiful hotel that’s been very thoughtfully designed, with a lovely pool and really nice rooms and common area. The owner and team are friendly and helpful - proactively messaging on WhatsApp to sort out finer details and check you have what you need - and the dog is very cute!

The prices of the food and drink are really high for the quality ($10 for breakfast rather than $4 in similar accom / restaurants; $14ish for rice and curry compared to $5ish elsewhere), and the meals / drinks aren’t very tasty, especially for the price. It’s also pretty far away from anything, which means you’re a bit limited for food and drinks unless you go into Kandy (about 45 minutes away).

We loved staying with Gaja and meeting her gorgeous dog Hazel. The property is so beautiful - just like we had stepped into a home beautiful magazine! Everyone made us feel at home. Our rooms were amazing and beautifully appointed and comfy. The pool and garden are really lovely and all meals were delicious. The hotel is a 20-30 minute tuk tuk ride to the city centre but it was lovely to escape the hustle and bustle at the end of the day and relax. We didn’t want to leave this tranquil and relaxing oasis in busy Kandy.

An amazing place, beautifully designed. The owner is wonderful and very kind — it’s clear she cares about the place and wants guests to feel welcome. Very communicative and attentive. A bit far from the center, but peaceful and quiet, with stunning interiors and incredible views from the room and mezzanine.

Where to begin with such a special paradise as GODDESS , from the moment we arrived we were mesmerised and taken aback by just how beautiful the premises are , stunning plants and greenery in full bloom , outdoor nooks and a feast for the eyes in every direction . The rooms , common areas and lobby are tastefully decorated with all the comforts and appointments you'd ever need. We actually had plans to go out and explore Kandy more but with just how peaceful and serene it was here , we had no regrets at all in staying back to enjoy the ambience of GODDESS. All of our meals were lovingly prepared and delicious ,as someone with Sri Lankan heritage myself I was proud to see such authenticity with some creative twists. Gaya , along with her nephew Raguna , were always so wonderful and gracious , friendly and accommodating to all of our needs at any and all times even at short notice. The resident golden retriever Hazel is a cheeky fellow and a character but you'll no doubt fall in love with him as we did. Seriously one of the best and most memorable stays in all my years of travelling to Sri Lanka

We had a lovely stay here at the Goddess and couldn’t have asked for more. The Sri Lankan food was delicious — especially kottu and rice & curry. The location is very convenient, just 400m from A1 Kandy–Colombo road, yet wonderfully calm and relaxing. Loved the beautiful tropical garden and the entire place has a warm, homely atmosphere. The staff were attentive and caring, and Gaya’s hospitality truly made us feel at home. The friendly pet Doggo Hazel was a delightful bonus!!! A perfect place to relax, enjoy great food, and experience true Sri Lankan hospitality. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday!

Gaya is a great host. The crew is extremly friendly, helpful and respectful . Interior design from its best. The villa,pool and garden is a dream on earth.

I was thinking of canceling my trip to Kandy because of the damage caused by the cyclone I am so glad that I did not!!! Getting there was fairly straightforward and so worth it! The reception and general atmosphere of the place put us in a complete sense of relaxation...by the time we had finished a couple of delicious meals we were in a complete state of bliss! The hostess was completely wonderful as was her staff so kind professional easy going and friendly... and there is the sweetest doggy in the world a beautiful 2-year-old golden retriever that will steal your heart forever! If you were traveling to Kandy I would definitely recommend this place it is within half a kilometer of a train station and has an easy going welcoming luxurious vibe to the place...

Godess was a truly complete and exceptional place to stay for me. The property is run by Gaya, a strong, inspiring, and incredibly capable woman who manages this beautiful home together with her daughter and their pet. The location is excellent—so close to the railway station that you can easily walk there. The rooms are just as lovely and comfortable as the house itself, and guests can also enjoy access to a dreamy swimming pool. The property has a beautiful garden as well, and despite the recent cyclone, everything has fully returned to normal. On top of all that, you can enjoy delicious local homemade food at the house. Finally, spending time and having conversations with Gaya is a gift in itself. If I ever return to Sri Lanka, this will definitely be my place to stay again.

Schön eingerichtetes Hotel mit all den tollen Pflanzen und besonderen rustikalen Möbeln. Definitiv ein besonderes Ambiente in diesem Hotel. Das war positiv! Cool ist auch der Billardtisch! 😊

Wir hatten leider einige Tiere in unserem Zimmer (Gekos, Schnecke, Kakerlake). Wir hatten hier um Hilfe bei der Entfernung gefragt, woraufhin hin uns sichtlich genervt ein neues Zimmer gegebene wurde. Wir haben die Reaktion gar nicht verstanden. Unangenehm haben wir den Hund der Besitzerin erlebt. Dieser ist groß, sprang uns ständig an und biss/kratze uns mehrfach leicht. Auch beim Essen versucht er etwas von unserem Essen zu essen. Obwohl uns dies unangenehm war, wurde nichts dagegen gemacht. Gerade bei Kindern halte ich dies für äußerst problematisch!! Leider hatten wir auch das Gefühl, dass wir auf der Anlage wenig erwünscht waren. Ständig wurden wir gefragt, ob wir denn nicht in Kandy was machen wollen oder wann wir denn vom Fahrer abgeholt werden. Wir haben uns nicht wie willkommene Gäste gefühlt.

La casa è meravigliosa, sembra di soggiornare in una rivista di design d’interni. Gaya è stata super disponibile e l’accoglienza dello staff accompagnata dalle coccole del cagnolone di casa non ha eguali! Kandy dista una ventina di minuti in tuktuk, mentre la stazione di Peradenyia è 5 minuti. Ottima anche la ristorazione, oltre alla colazione abbiamo deciso di fare anche la cena ed è stata molto buona e abbondante!

Leider wurden wir in einigen Punkten enttäuscht. Das Frühstück war okay, aber nicht außergewöhnlich (Bsp. war die Marmelade im kleinen Glas schon angebrochen). Das Fenster in unserem Bad war total kaputt, es haben uns einige Tiere besucht. Wasserdruck war sehr niedrig, war etwas schwierig zu duschen. Preise fürs Dinner waren sehr hoch - haben nicht zur Qualität gepasst. Beim Check-out ist Achtung geboten: Wir zahlten 3% mehr, weil wir mit Karte zahlten. Das wurde uns aber nicht transparent kommuniziert. Uns fiel es auf und wir fragten nach, wo es erst hieß „wegen des Wechselkurses“, dann aber sagten sie es würde einfach mehr mit Karte kosten. Lieber also Bar zahlen! Über einige Sachen lässt sich drüber hinwegsehen, aber nicht für den Preis.

Het was een hele luxe plek, wat goed over de inrichting heeft na gedacht de bedden en de douche waren heerlijk. En een hele mooie plek, met een mooi zwembed, ga je voor luxe is dit de plek!

De eigenaresse niet zo aardig, het personeel deed erg haar best maar toen er een personeelstekort was moesten we het maar een beetje zelf uitzoeken....

Goddess ist einfach bis in letzte Detail liebevoll gestaltet und durchdacht. Mit vielen antiken Schätzen und einer Blumenvielfalt, die man sonst nur aus dem Blumenladen kennt. Alle dort sind unfassbar nett und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten dort 4 tolle Nächte neben dem Trubel der Perahera in Kandy und haben dort auch jeden Abend gegessen. Das verschiedene Rice & Curry war einfach viel zu lecker. Neben einer großartigen Massage kann man sich auch für eine Yoga-Einheit anmelden. Wir kommen definiv wieder, denn Gaya und ihr Personal waren einfach der Knaller.

Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en wil je overal bij helpen. De kamer is prachtig. De bedden slapen heerlijk en de airco werkt erg goed. Het hele hotel straalt rust uit. Het is prachtig ingericht met een zeer goede smaak.

Goddess Kandy is a beautiful boutique style hotel. The staff here are absolutely exceptional, Gaya is so lovely and accommodating she could not do enough to help make our stay as special as possible - neither could her staff. The location is brilliant, it’s near enough to Kandy but far enough away that you are out of the hectic chaos of the city. They made our bed super pretty for our honeymoon and the pool area is lovely. I would highly recommend anyone staying here. The breakfast and food at the location is also brilliant. A special shoutout to Gaya’s gorgeous dog too, he was definitely a great part of our stay and just the best boy!

They didn’t even provide sugar for the morning tea. The staff had serious arguments both in the morning and at night. The location is good, but cleanliness is lacking. The food wasn’t that great either — there weren’t even any sausages for breakfast.

They argued a lot, and because of the noise, we couldn’t relax peacefully. Breakfast wasn’t served at the time they mentioned, as they were busy arguing even then. It was really unpleasant to hear, and it completely ruined the mood.

The hotel was beautiful. The pool was gorgeous and staff were very attentive. The rooms were beautiful and so comfy

We felt extremely comfortable at the accommodation. Everything was lovingly decorated, the food was delicious and the staff was great. All in all, it was a fantastic stay on our trip.

A lovely boutique hotel with a pool and lovely garden. Helpful and courteous staff who went out of their way to help with anything we needed.

A few things like having chairs and tables on the balcony , in the garden and around the pool would have enhanced the stay.

Very stylish Decoration of the hotel inside and out is amazing. We loved the pool area. Although we never saw her, Gaya, the owner/manager, was super attentive and helped us a lot with arrangements and responded very quickly. Service from the stuff was excellent. Near the hotel, you can get around by foot and make yourself familiar with local shops and stores. 5 min walking to a train station (not Kendy train station)

No nature view from the hotel to Kendy nature surroundings - but it's a hidden gem in a metropolitan area. No hot water, although they tried to fix it. But common for this level of hotel and after 6 hours on the road with a Tuk tuk?? Food at dinner was not good - serving cold rice and chicken?

The property is beautiful but was a little tired, our lock didn’t work on the door , there was no water in the room , the tap on the sink didn’t work well , breakfast was basic , was hoping for some Sri Lanka breakfast

It was such a beautiful and wonderful stay. The decor, the host Gaya, and her family made us feel so welcome. My sister and I had the best time. Gaya also has an epic playlist that kept us in our holiday vibes.

After riding elephants and climbing Lions Rock we were definitely grateful to be welcomed into this beautiful accommodation. The host Gaya and her wonderful team/family were so attentive, and nothing was too much. Tariq, the young man's name who made us feel like we had V.I.P. treatment. I will never forget our stay here. It was a beautiful home. Our room was stunning. The food was exceptional. I loved the breakfast( served with Sri Lankan Iced Gems !! my Fav. And some delicious bread, etc. There are lots of choices on the menu for everyone. It was very peaceful, and sometimes it felt like we had the place to ourselves, we did meet some other guests. The pool and the garden are the other wow factor, if you have time to sit or swim and observe, you will notice so much life 🪲🐞🐸🦜.  The thought that has gone into this place is wonderful ✨💖 I hope we will be able to return here one day 🥰 I'm sorry I took lots of videos and only a few photos 📸

Location is far from Kandy (but we had a car). New (big) puppy is a bit boisterous but will mellow out as he grows up...

Goddess Hotel went above and beyond my expectations. We were immediately welcomed with a lovely cold drink and then shown our incredible rooms. My partner and my jaws dropped at how gorgeous the rooms were! There was incense burning and all the interior design was so tasteful and homely. Gaya hospitality made us feel instantly like we were at home. The staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and looked after. The pool is stunning and the outside area is to die for! This was our favourite place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka, if you’re in Kandy, do not miss!

Nothing it was perfect.

The hotel is quite pretty.

The host is extremely immature. After we gave her constructive feedback she got very defensive and refused to give us anymore advice, i.e, whether we could leave our bags at the botanical gardens. She didn’t like us telling her that we disliked the restaurant she recommended. We asked for authentic Sri Lankan food and she sent us to her friends English style pub with sports tv and terrible food that we sent back. She also refused our advice to put blankets in the room instead of a single sheet as we both couldn’t sleep because of the cold. The only other guest also had this issue and got given a smelly blanket. When we discovered how cold it was, it was past midnight and no one was around. We’ve stayed in 4 other hotels since, all provide light duvets! Also, we are dog owners but we arrived back late to her dog growling at us and no one to help move it so we could pass. What a little oasis the small hotel is. It’s so tastefully decorated, beautiful rooms. Gaya and her staff were the best. So helpful. Lovely pool area and gardens. Great breakfasts. We stayed here to see the kandy and go to see the elephants. So for us it was perfectly situated.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

GOODESS Kandy is a beautiful place built from a wonderful team. Gaya with her team was exceptional to support us in everything. Kindness and smiles are the perfect summary of our stay, with a cappuccino made in a perfect Christmas time.

Beautiful decor and attention to detail. Fantastic pool and common areas. We wanted to stay longer just to hang in this lovely space! The host Gaia was very helpful. Good location near train station, worth to rent a scooter and check the botanical garden!

Wonderful stay at Goddess Kandy - solo traveller. The team are incredibly helpful,fun and play great music. Food is great and great variety on offer.

Lovely spread for all meals, amazing nature around the property and friendly staff & host.

This house is gorgeous! Lovely designed. Owner & staff was so help and lovely! They made our stay very welcoming and comfortable.

The only disappointment was, 30/40 minties drive to Kandy town. We didn't realise it would be that far but that is our fault for not checking that before hand.

Beautiful hotel, very calm in the middle of nature with a beautiful little pool and very cozy rooms! The staff was very nice and trying to help us organizing our trip.

Restaurant prices were a little too high for the quality of the food.

The house, design and atmosphere are just amazing. You wander into heavens garden. Attention to every detail. Contact with the owner is perfect. They are so helpful. And the food is really tasty.

Some rooms facilities were not as expected; no toilet paper, no bin and cold showers.

i love its design, the way that it integrated with nature is inpiring. Owner is cool very friendly person. she makes you feel like you are her friend and you just come to visit her. very friendly attitude❤️ and they have lovely dog.

it is a little bit far from city center and food can be better.

The location was very good and breathtaking. The scenery was great and and the breakfast was very delicious. It is great for staying close and not too close to Kandy

Everything was great

We loved everything about this property. The design, ambience and staff were very welcoming. It is a hideaway from the city. We wish we had spent more nights here exploring Kandy (an underrated city in our mind).

We didn’t realize it was outside of Kandy - our mistake. It was easy enough to get too via Tuk Tuk or train.
