Atlantic Lodge, Main Street Ardara

Pulitissimo dappertutto, letti finalmente comodissimi, e con una super colazione self service. Piena privacy e super gentilezza del personale incontrato che ci ha consigliato un evento che altrimenti avremmo perso.

Breakfast is help yourself even though staff is there to help you if needed. Loads of cereals,fruit,bread,eggs,pancakes and yogurts,tea coffee milk etc. they had gluten free stuff as well which was great as one of the girls is celiac so that was added bonus.

Didn't have Separate toaster for celiac only thing

Very large rooms so lots of space to spread out with a decent sized ensuite. Easy to get free parking on the street outside. We were given a code to get into reception but didn't need it as one of the owners was waiting to great guests at check in time. He give us good suggestions for pubs and dinner. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet which had good choices, though people did get under each other's feet a bit. Ardara is a very friendly town.

Our room only had a small window opening onto a narrow alleyway, which appreciate was the building design.

Such a beautiful hotel, on the main street and walking distance. Rooms are spacious and exceptionally luxurious. Very comfortable. The kitchen and dining areas are well equipped with plenty of choice and lots of space, including large screen TV for entertainment. Laura & Co were very friendly,helpful and sociable taking time for a chat. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Nicely finished upmarket guesthouse. Room was very comfortable and modern bathroom. Breakfast is continental, no hot items, but ok.

We liked the layout of the building, which provided for snacks and coffee/teas on the first floor, where our room was. The main dining room was downstairs, with an excellent choice of plentiful food, in an unusual layout. The hosts were there to greet us and to look after us in the morning. The rooms were comfortable and to a high standard. It was great to see the building, which was a supermarket and fell into disuse, being re-used and renovated, bringing life back to the main street of Ardara. It was an excellent case study of adaptive re-use of a building which could have been derelict. The owners deserve great support for their work.

Because of the re-use, there were a few quirks, but these did not in any way take away from the positive experience.

Lovely comfortable room and bathroom. Excellent self-serve continental breakfast with great gluten free options available for Coeliacs (bread, cereals as well as yoghurts, fruits, eggs etc)

We were in a lovely ground floor room, no complaints on comfort but I did wake to the sound of people going for breakfast in the early morn. I am a light sleeper! It wouldn't stop me staying here again.

The place was spotless and very comfortable., check in was easy , efficient and Laura was extremely friendly. The kitchen area for tea/coffee and selfservice breakfast was immaculate and well stocked. Very close to a shop and a few places to eat and drink. Would highly recommend.

Friendly staff, pool with great views, great breakfast, rooftop bar. Check out was at 12 which is great. Our flight was at 7pm and the hotel let us have a shower in the spa after checking out which was particularly welcome. It meant that we didn’t have to board the plane for our long haul flight sweaty! We received a warm welcome by the owner Anne and shown around this spotless modern well maintained property The kitchen/dining facilities were excellent Our large room was bright spotless and beautifully decorated the beds were so comfortable we had a peaceful sleep and a fantastic shower The kitchen is self service with ample continental breakfast of fruit yoghurt cereals juices etc ideal for us I also observed gluten free cereals were avaliable and there was a little machine for anyone wanting a boiled egg or 2

Zeer gastvrij, fijne schone grote kamers. Eigenaren zijn super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ardera is een heel fijn dorp en deze accommodatie ligt er midden in.

Wunderschön, mit viel Hingabe gestaltete Unterkunft. Von außen wie innen wirkt die Lodge sehr schön. Frühstück muss sich selbst zubereitet/ genommen werden. Dafür gibt es große Kühlschrank und Ablagen mit allem, wirklich allem, was man benötigt. Tolle Auswahl - viel Früchte, Joghurt, Saft…..Eier… Müsli, Flakes usw. Der Besitzer ist unglaublich nett, gibt tolle Tipps. Mindestens zwei Nächte bleiben- der Ort und die ganze Umgebung lohnen sich. Toller Strand, Wasserfall… gleich in der Nähe.

Hôtel très confortable, cosy, deco superbe, très propre et en plein centre du village. Idéal pour visiter la région qui est superbe. Petit déjeuner parfait aussi, fruits frais très appréciés.

The shower

The description of “deluxe” doesn’t match the cardboard towels, the inclusion of earplugs to ward off noise and the basic breakfast where you serve yourselves fruit, croissants and cereal. We cleaned up after ourselves, filled dishwasher, cleaned table - an expectation as per the host’s notices but a first for us. There is also an ongoing issue with Booking.com where my original booking was cancelled where I paid for two rooms but only used one (Booking. com cancelled the first booking, emailed me that they would refund but despite many “chats” with their ibot, that has not been resolved).

Self service breakfast was superb with so much choice. Although wouldn’t suit anyone wanting a cooked breakfast. Comfortable room and en suite bathroom. Hosts lovely people and very helpful.

Prodotti da bagno di qualità. Parcheggio sulla strada davanti all'hotel e in caso di assenza, ampio parcheggio a pochi passi vicino al cimitero. Colazione fantastica: self-made, grande cucina dotata di ogni ingrediente dolce e salato, attrezzature nuovissime per ogni tipo di colazione. Grande spazio dedicato alla colazione.

Excellent location. Super comfy bed and I loved the self service option. Best to go on the early side of breakfast as it can get busy people in and out of fridge and waiting at toaster and coffee machine.

*Atlantic Lodge, Ardara – Review* I had an excellent stay at Atlantic Lodge in Ardara and would happily go back. The accommodation was spotless from the moment we arrived. The rooms are big, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage, so it never felt cramped. Everything was clean, modern, and well-maintained. Facilities are great too — everything you need is provided and it all works well. It’s clear they take pride in keeping the place in top condition. The location is a huge plus. Right in the heart of the town, you’re just a short walk from pubs, restaurants, shops, and the famous Ardara tweed stores. Perfect for exploring without needing the car. Friendly service, big clean rooms, and a central base for Donegal. Atlantic Lodge offers excellent value and a really comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ardara.

Top Lage. Mehrere Pubs nebenan, auch Musik! 🏍️Parkplätze hinter verschlossener Türe. Individuelles Frühstück selbst zusammenstellen, etwas zeitaufwändig, aber gut.

Kein Fenster/Licht im Frühstücksraum; nachts etwas (!) laut von der Straße. Ohrenstöpsel liegen bereit.

Parking was on street which was not ideal but ok We were at the front of the hotel and so had traffic noise very early morning which did wake us up unfortunately, the front room needs some secondary glazing/soundproofing to manage this , this was the only reason we did not give it 10/10 as it was a great place

We were in a room beside kitchen and people were in and out of kitchen all night..the light from kitchen area would light up our room everytime someone arrived in that area. Not hosts fault that people were very chatty ect. Maybe need to put seal around bedroom door to block out light..

The room was clean and they had a fan.

The Hotel is located on the main strip but has no wifi or air conditioning. Staff did not like to be bothered with questions like "what time is breakfast or how do we get in the hotel" even though you had to get a code from them to enter the hotel. We had to contact they via the what's app as no one was there. The noise from the street below was horrendous and unsured no sleep. Hotel does supply ear plugs though, no joke (2) sets on the night stand. Bed was not comfortable and hurt our backs. Upon check in we asked about breakfast and were told it would be in kitchen from 8 to 11, we left at 8:30 and there was no breakfast or staff, we did not see anyone in the hotel our entire stay.

Nice large room. Intimate atmosphere. The owners are very fantastic. Warm, welcoming. Just very nice people who you wish all the best. In the middle of the village. Great pubs and eateries.

Very friendly people, very comfortable beds, great breakfest. We enjoyed our stay there.

It was not easy to find a parking spot on the street.
