The property was a nice location. The bed was very comfortable. The decor is interesting. Loved the breakfast.

The bathroom is shared between the three bedrooms. It wasn't a problem as we were the only guests, but this was not made clear on the booking site that the booking was made. The mannequins in the lounge are a bit creepy.

Jeweline went above and beyond to make my stay work for me. I was too scared to drive the "road" at night so she drove me into Thames to meet my friends for dinner and offered to come and get me when we were done. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless.

I found the property difficult to find and the road was little more than a goat track. There is no mention of the road on Booking.com. I was too scared to try and drive it at night. The shared bathroom was taken over by the other guests with all their personal toiletries spread over the counters making me feel like I was intruding on their space. I was unable to get the TV to go. I also found the aviator theme over the top.

Das Zimmer mit den 2 Betten war extrem klein, wenn jede Person einen Koffer mithat. Tür war nicht einmal ordentlich zu öffnen.

I highly recommend this accommodation as a beautiful place to chill out and refresh body and soul. I received a warm welcome and enjoyed the comfortable, attractive and relaxing facilities and environment. The breakfast was excellent. I'd love to go there again!

I've nothing but praise for the Lodge owners. Unfortunately Booking.com hasn't yet actioned their request to remove the "pets welcome" filter. My hosts were a little taken aback when I turned up with my young dog; maybe they missed my message in the booking that she was coming too? - but were extremely obliging and managed to cope with us both admirably!! Hopefully Booking.com will update the advertising very soon.

Our hosts were kind, gracious, and helpful with answering questions and giving us some local history and tips. We did not get to do much as it was raining but enjoyed our stay regardless because of the hospitality and the beautiful space. (We only stayed one night but would recommended more nights.)

All was great but if you do not have a car then it would be much harder to get here.

Breakfast was perfect good value for money and selection of toast and cereals :)

The Spa wasnt very clean and had silt at the bottom. it wasn't very hot but we still enjoyed a soak.

Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und wir haben uns gerne mit ihnen unterhalten. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut mit viel Auswahl und allem, was das Herz begehrt. Die Betten waren bequem. Wir durften die nassen Klamotten im Aufenthaltsraum trocknen. Vielen lieben Dank dafür. Es gab selbstgebackene Willkommenskekse (ein Kiwi und ein Flugzeug) und Gummibärchen..Total lieb. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Close to Thames Hospital but in a bush setting. Very peaceful and quiet. Heat pump in bedroom a great feature. Owners friendly and helpful. Enjoyed meeting other people staying therez

Location was stunning, lush and sea view. The host was a lovely gentleman and great conservationist demonstrating a passion for everything aviation. The bedroom was cosy as was the general atmosphere

Shared bathroom - I didn’t realise until I was there. Breakfast was cereal and milk, juice and facility for making coffee or tea. The drive up was gravel and if it had been raining crossing the low bridge may be problematic Would likely look for somewhere quiet but less remote

Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich sehr schön. Der Gastgeber war unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar – man hat sich direkt willkommen gefühlt. Er hat uns bei allem unterstützt und tolle Tipps gegeben, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Die Zimmer waren sehr gemütlich, sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Besonders positiv fanden wir, dass sowohl das Bad als auch die Küche immer sehr sauber und ordentlich waren. Insgesamt herrschte eine entspannte und angenehme Atmosphäre, sodass man sich sofort wohlfühlen konnte. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können die Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen.

During our cycling trip through New Zealand, which has now lasted almost three months, we’ve met lots of lovely people, but Warren and Jeweline have really set the bar even higher. From the warm welcome to Warren’s fascinating tales of aviation history, we felt right at home from the very start. Add to that the cleanliness, the comfortable beds and lots of little touches, such as the toiletries in the bathroom and the continental breakfast to start the day, and the package is perfect. I have no idea if life will ever take us back to Thames, but if it does, we’ll definitely stay here again.

Place is beautiful and cozy. Everything you need is provided for.

I thought our room would be upstairs with use of the balcony, but it was downstairs, under the owners accommodation. Still good views though.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay! The location is simply stunning — picturesque and peaceful with beautiful sunsets, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hosts were wonderfully kind and attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a charming place to stay!

Fantastic hosts! Very welcoming! A lovely couple of nights in a very comfortable bedroom with use of a large clean bathroom and an outside jacuzzi under the stars! Would definitely stay again!

The host, Jeweline, was absolutely lovely and super welcoming. Given our late arrival we weren't expecting much but she took the time to orientate us and give us tips and information about the area. The location is stunning too, it feels very remote despite being 10 mins or so from Thames.

The room was a little dusty

The place has an interesting all-around-airplanes-and-flying style, sunrises in the hot tub were just wonderful, nice breakfast was included in the price. The views and surrounding nature were just marvellous.

When there is long rain, the room can get a bit smelly.

The room is ideal for guests arriving by car and offers a pleasant ocean view. We appreciated the host’s quick and friendly communication, as well as the welcoming shared spaces. The hot tub was available for use, and the provided continental breakfast was a nice addition.

The only minor drawback was that the hot tub was a bit too hot for comfort.

Don't book the third room. Is adjacent to the bathroom and it's sooo noisy. We could hear everyone using the bathroom which unfortunately involved being woken 3 times during the night. A bad sleep resulted.

It was ok.

Inadequate kitchen relating to size (up to 6 people sharing) it was tiny. A single hob, that didn’t work properly, it took ages to cook pasta. The steep gravel drive needs attention due to vehicle wheels spinning. Only 1 bathroom including toilet near bedrooms. I toilet with a basin across the main guest living area. The accommodation is on the ground floor. The owner lives on the floor with the pitched roof window.

Breakfast was file. Finding the property was difficult. I suggest that full directions should be supplied as I had to ring the property for directions as Google maps was not adequate.

Tout était parfait !! L'accueil des hôtes Jeweline et Warren (mention spéciale à sa déco aéro ;-); le logement au calme, propreté des lieux, accès à un salon et cuisine partagés, salle de bain très grande partagée avec 3 chambres ; les services inclus dans le tarif (petit déjeuner, il y a même un spa). Une bonne adresse !

Endroit calme, l'intérieur de la maison et la chambre très propre. Linge de douche, linge pour le jaccuzi et peignoirs à disposition ! Les hôtes étaient très sympathiques, à dispo pour répondre aux questions. Ils ont eu la gentillesse de garder mes valises lorsque je suis partie en randonnée après mon check-out. J'ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour ici :)

The three bedrooms at this property share a bathroom. If up early or late no issue but if everyone is up about the same time it can delay plans.

In a lovely location with glimpses of the sea. Easy to find and very comfortable. A nice touch was bottles of perfume for me to try in the huge bathroom.

WiFi very intermittent. Road to lodge a bit rough for cars that aren't 4 WD. Lack of waste bins for rubbish in bedrooms.

Wow! Fabulous ! Great host and property! We had our doors open to a lovely garden ! Enjoyed his hot tub after a long journey to get to NZ! Nice little breakfast in the morning with fellow guests !
