Great location. Friendly staff. The included breakfast was fab considering the value. The room had water and tissues and lots of pillows and plugs and hooks. Shower gel and shampoo and the shower was great. The breakfast room is quirky.

The decor and carpets etc are a bit tired but it’s clean and great value.

Good, quiet location on the seafront, a short walk to the town centre. The room was decent size and clean, nice breakfast.

Overall it felt more like a 3* b&b than a 4* hotel. The room was adequate but felt quite sparse and cheaply furnished (e.g. a rack with hangers instead of a proper wardrobe) - was somewhat disappointing compared to the photos. Breakfast is only served within a set hour and there is no reception or option to store luggage. Not the best value for money.

Breakfast was very good. The room was bright, clean and modern.

I couldn't get the t.v. to work. Maybe the remote needed new batteries.

Nice hotel, good value, and a great location for us.

Very convenient for visiting my Uncle who lives around the corner. The car park is straight across from the hotel which is good. My room 3 has a balcony lovely for sitting out in the evening and watching the ships sail by. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly Ed is amazing and she cooks a wonderful breakfast. I’ve stayed here many times and I will continue to do so for a long while. Thank you Ed you are a 🌟

Accessible parking but was £12.50 for 24hrs

Easy to get to in Margate - plenty of parking close by- walking distance into the seafront heart of Margate - public areas clean. Hosts attentive eg we left without breakfast on our second (last) morning to get home and when we checked our key back in with him in the breakfast room he asked could they do sandwiches for our journey.

Felt it was rundown and any surplus not being put back into the property - no one came to clean our room or even make the bed for our second night - milks not replenished after our first morning tea - great to have a balcony but hadn’t been cleaned for ages or dead plants tidied up - shower ran away well, no water blockage, but drain smelt.

The host was very welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious.

We had to climb three flights of stairs to reach our room, however we did know beforehand that there was no lift so didn't take our heavy suitcases in with us.

Quick, hassle free check in. Room clean, beautifully decorated and we loved sitting on the balcony watching the sea and the boats go by. Big comfy bed, too! Was also just across the street from the Lido/Drill Shed where we were going for a concert. Perfect all around!

The cooked breakfast was really greasy - everything fried - and it tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed in a while.

Convenient location, clean, good for a 1 night stay, and bed is comfortable.

The fixtures in the room were somewhat broken for example the shower faucet was leaking, the shelf above the bathroom sink was tilted so anything put on it would fall off.

The room was spacious and wonderful! Super clean and the bed was very soft and comfy. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.

Great BnB in Margate, really clean, great facilities in the room, felt really comfortable. It was warm weather when we stayed so there was a fan already going in our room but it didn’t get hot in the room anyway, it stayed cool. Bed comfortable and full English breakfast included. Overall great find, would stay there again.

Probably a little bit expensive for a BnB but it’s the prices you pay now for summer in Margate but don’t let that put you off staying as the place is excellent.

Great little place - very clean and friendly - great location for the Walpole tidal pool for morning dip!

Clean and nice

The room was very clean and smelled very nice, as did the whole hotel. The clothing rail was cute and the room had a nice aesthetic. The bathroom was a decent size and the shower was powerful. There was a good selection of towels and wash cloths. Having a fan in the room also helped.

The sink was a little too small and the shelf wasn't levelled as best as it could have been, as I hit my head on it once while brushing my teeth. The room was also quite small to manoeuvre around and had just one chair to put things on. The towels and wash cloths were also a little rough.

Cold shower, tv remote broken, curtains not blackout, winter duvet so was too hot, not offered breakfast, unwelcoming email prior to arrival saying no early or late check in allowed, you cannot leave bags!

Close to the Turner

We had a beautiful sea view room. Very clean, bottled water, tea & coffee in there. Lovely breakfast and wonderful, friendly host! Fab location too, close enough to walk everywhere but not close enough for any noise. Perfect stay thank you 😊

I travel a lot, and I've been to different hotels: expensive, very expensive, and middle-class. But I've never had to write a bad review. I didn't expect such a staff from a hotel with such a price! There is absolutely no sense of tact. The price per room is quite high, and for this money you can stay in better conditions in other hotels in this city, where the staff is friendly. And for the information of the guests: there is no possibility to leave luggage here.

Normal English breakfast, it is fine. Hotel is good to provide because it is a bit far away from another restaurant. Seaview room is a small window face to the sea. Only 2 staffs in the small hotel, it is clean and don't expect another other service.

Comfy bed, although it was just a double bed. Good temperature and really clean. The location was great, between Cliftonville and the town centre.

Didn't know there was room cleaning, no indication, so surprised they cleaned our room. Small complaint though.

Très peu de fliexibilité au niveau des entrées et sorties. Ce n'est pas un hôtel car il n'y a pas toujours de présence de personnel. Et quand elle lle là, la dame était assez peu aimable. Pas de possibiilté de petit déjeuner à moins de commander en même temps que la chambre! Donc même en arrivant à 16h00 et en demandant le petit dénjeuner ce n'était pas possible.

The one thing that would have made it even better would have been a comfy arm chair in the room. The chairs that were in there were more like desk chairs , not bad but an arm chair would have been better

The check in was not very secure!! I got told to write my name in the book and she gave me a key and that was it! Didn’t ask who I was or anything! Check out was just putting out door key in a box and walking away, there were many of keys in the box just out in the open! You advertise as having a tv in room which we did but none of the channels worked so was a bit pointless! I don’t sleep well so I do put the tv on in the night and for a morning tea so this was really frustrating

This was our second time staying at Sherwood’s, no issue whatsoever, would happily come back again! 🤩 I did appreciate earlier checking in time as needed a shower after cycling in before going out, it was perfect 👌

Location is 10 min from old town and turner gallery. Convenient parking in front. Room comfortable and very clean. People at reception responsive and helpful. Breakfast is classic English fry-up with yogurth and fruit additional very welcome!

Hotel is in a great spot & had top floor room with a seaview. Great guest service & good breakfast . Would highly recommend & will be booking again.

A very clean, modern and spacious hotel on the edge of Cliftonville, offering compact rooms, many with a sea view. Nice reception area and friendly staff.

There are a lot of stairs inside the property, which may not be suitable for all guests. The immediate surrounding area does have some much more dilapidated properties and a rundown look in parts.

There was some noise in the street at night, but not the hotel's fault.

The host was very welcoming. I was upgraded to a balcony room. My room was warm and very clean, tea & coffee making facilities and bathroom on suite.

Would have liked breakfast there, but I understand that in the winter months with few guests, that’s not practical.

Nice location, close to main beachfront, nice size studio apartment with mini kitchenette, good basic supplies (bottled water, tea, coffee, etc) and toiletries, nice cosy living area, private bathroom and cosy bedroom. The host was nice, room was clean, would stay again

The bed creaked with any slight movement on it sitting, laying, rolling over as you lay
