Fantastic location, there is a fantastic walkway right outside the house which takes you along the waterfront. Breakfast was amazing, and we felt so welcomed.

Peaceful and clean, had better sleeps, very welcome and warming owner made me feeling the safety and comfortable. 10 mins drive to the city center with the nice lake community surrounding.

This is an absolute gem in the beautiful town of Cromwell. The unit was immaculate and very comfortable. The hosts had provided an assortment of snacks which was very thoughtful.Another outstanding feature were the gourmet breakfasts cooked by Samantha and Fred and they were delicious and different each day. Samantha and Fred are wonderful hosts…very helpful and a lot of fun!! I would highly recommend staying here.

Oog voor detail, merkbaar in de tips die je krijgt en de variatie in ontbijt. Samantha en Fred zijn gepassioneerde wijnliefhebbers (denken we) dus als je zelf wijnliefhebber bent dan klikt dat goed.

Niet wat ons betreft ... We hadden de kamer aan de zijkant van het huis en hebben een beetje het gevoel dat de kamer aan de voorzijde iets minder privacy heeft, omdat wij er altijd voorbij kwamen.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in Cromwell. Das Zimmer ist absolut gepflegt und sauber, das Badezimmer groß und sehr komfortabel, das Bett extrem bequem :) Samantha und Fred sind hervorragende Gastgeber, die mit viel Herz dabei sind und sich wirklich um alles kümmern. Die Kommunikation war ausgezeichnet und so auch das liebevoll zubereitete Frühstück. Es hat alles gepasst. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und würden ohne Zögern jederzeit wiederkommen.

Samantha and Fred were the perfect hosts for this stay in this modern, stylish and exceptionally comfortable room. Breakfast was exceptional. An added bonus was the evening meal prepared by a local chef - the option to have this should be taken whenever it is available, the meal and the whole experience around it was superb. A perfect location for lakeside walks and as a base for cycling on local trails such as the Dunstan Lake Trail. For wildlife enthusiasts, rare birds such as the Australian Crested Grebe nest just a few tens of meters from the room.

Next time we'd choose the room facing the lake - and we won't hesitate to visit again.

L'accoglienza di Samantha e Fred è super: disponibili a dare suggerimenti, colazione home made buonissima e davvero gentili. In oltre avevamo preparato qualche snack in camera per il nostro arrivo. Loft accogliente, bagno grande e letto comodissimo (due cuscini a testa disponibili). Dalla finestra si può vedere direttamente il lago. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning bed and breakfast, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget! Fred and Sam are exceptional hosts. This bed and breakfast is nestled by a picturesque lake. The views were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sight of the shimmering water outside my window was the perfect way to start each day. The luxurious experience continued with the breakfast each morning. They served the most delicious pastries and fresh fruits, and let’s not forget the bacon and egg baps! They were perfectly cooked, with crispy bacon and fluffy eggs nestled in soft bread they were mouthwatering. It was such a treat to enjoy this delicious food while taking in the stunning lake view from the dining area. Overall, our stay at this bed and breakfast was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of the beautiful location, luxurious accommodations, and mouthwatering breakfast made it a perfect getaway. I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable experience!

Samantha and Fred could not have been more welcoming. Right from our online booking and through to the end of our stay the communication, attention to detail and warm welcome and hospitality was flawless. The highlight was the daily breakfasts. We had read in other guest reviews about the breakfasts that Sam and Fred magic up, but they have to be tasted to believe. Epic! We also asked Sam to organise a platter by a local chef for our arrival. It’s one of the great options she offers to travellers. Very good value for the stunning array of food. We sat in the sun on the deck with our wine and a fabulous view of the lake. Other meals we took in Cromwell. Perfectly situated for our three days of exploring wineries throughout the Gibbston Valley, Lake Dunstan, and Bannockburn and for day trips into Arrowtown and Queenstown and Wanaka. The local winery Domaine Thompson was only a few minutes away and do a lovely tasting. The modern architecturally-designed stylish apartment had everything we needed. A marvellous roomy bathroom with a super shower. Very private with view across the lawn to the lake. Great complimentary kiwi-style snack basket in the room on arrival. With only two apartment style rooms on the property with seperate outside entrances it’s a restful place to stay. Highly recommended.

Internet speed with 1 MBs is very slow! Lakefront is not really from the room, you have to walk through the backyard of the house. Bed is somewhat hard.

Lovely place for wine country. The snacks provided were awesome and the breakfast divine! I can’t recall a better breakfast - the owners go way above and beyond. The passive house concept was new to us and we were glad to have a/c at night since windows don’t open.

The sheets were too stiff for us - we like ultra soft sheets - these seemed starched and the only reason we didn’t give higher rating. Lur sheets at home are tencel or bamboo.

Breakfast was great and different each day. It was a ‘passive’ house very interesting. Sam and Fred thought of everything. They were charming.

Superbly equipped with all the amenities one expects from a good B&B. The standard of the accommodation set in picturesque location near the lake is high. The hosts were friendly and welcoming.

The room rates were little too high. But this is a reflection of the high cost of living in the area.

This B&B location is the most cozy place we had stayed at during our trip to New Zealand. It provides all the basic amenities that a traveller will require, such as towels, a comfortable bed & pillows, tv and kettles with cups. The rooms are also well insulated and soundproof thanks to the triple glass that they have in the house. The room we had faced a nice lake view and they also provide delicious breakfast for those who stay as a guest, such as pastry, granola, and a big main breakfast. The couple running this B&B, Samantha and Fred, are very hospitable and are kind to approach and chat with to learn more about New Zealand.

Samantha and her husband make you feel like at home. They treated us like family since the start (allowing us to check in early, helping us when getting sick, etc). They are just adorable. And their place is absolutely stunning. The attention to detail is insane - beautiful and comfortable rooms to say the least. Breakfast was unreal. And the lake at the property is just beautiful - very local feel and just gorgeous.

Perfect location for us to attend Warbirds in Wanaka, for mountain biking and exploring Cromwell. Accomodation was fantastic, comfortable bed, beautifully presented, in a lovely quiet area with wonderful views. Daily breakfasts to die for.... Sam and Fred are super friendly and accommodating. My wife and I enjoyed an ideal week-long stay in this lovely B&B in Central Otago, located between bustling Queenstown and laid-back Wānaka on New Zealand’s South Island. The owners, Sam and Fred, are fantastic hosts. The property is extremely well-kept, fresh, and attention is paid to every detail (comfortable bed, lovely sheets, wonderful bathroom, arrival note, welcome basket, nice appointments and enough storage. We enjoyed walking along the lake mornings and evenings, just off the rear of the property. The breakfasts - made truly B&B style - are amazing, with Sam crafting her offerings around the region’s high-quality fruits and produce whenever possible. We give this property our highest recommendation. Regarding the location: Mount Pisa is located in the heart of the wine producing area of Central Otago with many wineries surrounding Lake Dunstan and along the Gibbston Gorge. It’s a fine central location for short-hop travel to hiking, kayaking, fishing, wine tasting and distillery tours and even skiing (Cardrona Ski Field) in the winter. But, yes, a car is definitely necessary. The location is about 50 minutes east of Queenstown and 35 minutes west of Wānaka, so figure in the extra time when planning your evening meals. Cromwell, near this location, has some pubs and restaurants (Brannockburn Hotel a recommendation), but the exciting options are farther removed. Central Otago is a beautiful landscape with stunning mountains, lakes, streams and sunsets. The activities available near Wānaka alone could keep you busy for two weeks. We really appreciating staying at this property which made all of it so easily accessible.

Sam and Fred were great hosts, providing amazing home prepared breakfasts. They took time to talk about the house and surrounding area, offering suggestions of where to eat and places to visit. The room was separate from the main house, very private with great facilities. It was a short walk to Lake Dunstan track, and a few minutes to get to The moorings for dinner. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, it was a short drive to the main road between Cromwell and Wanaka.

Breakfast is awesome, much better than cafe. Room is clean and tidy. Huge shower room. If you have a car, this place is the best around this area. Having a breakfast talking with Samantha and Fred was great time for us. Thank you!

The property is near new and custom built to provide excellent B&B accomodation and service. It is situated on the lake front and is in very good condition. While it is only approx 6 kms out of Cromwell and close to everything, it is very quiet and peaceful. The quality of the breakfasts provided were absolutely legendary, and Fred and Sam are wonderful hosts.

Great B&B in central Otago for day trips within the region. The rooms are great and the host very lovely. Everything was perfect. We would have loved to stay some more days at this unique B&B.

We loved staying in a place that had impressive architectural design mixing the east and western influences, set right on the shore of Dunstan lake. We are truly so grateful to Sam and Fred to going above and beyond for us, with breakfast set against the backdrop of lake Dunstan, cozy fireplace, fresh food and getting to know Sam and Fred who are such genuine people.

Pisa Moorings was fantastic location in a quiet subdision (away from busy roads) on the lakeside. The breakfasts were amazing and the hosts were aware of my gluten free needs and provided delicious alternatives. We enjoyed chatting with the friendly hosts and the other guests (there are 2 bnb rooms) at breakfast served in the dining room overlooking the lake. We also appreciated the welcome snack basket which included gf. Location handy to Cromwell and not too far from Wanaka and Arrowtown.

Only small disappointment was that our room didn't face the lake but a very nice room (with amazing bathroom) none the less.

The property is situated on the edge of Lake Dunstan, so the views and the walks are incredible. There was also a fantastic breakfast provided by the hosts, who were very friendly and welcoming.

The room got a bit overwarm which was difficult when we'd brought all winter clothing!

Both our host and hostess, Fred and Sam, were welcoming, thoughtful and gracious. The room was immaculate, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional and far more than either my husband or I could have ever thought to have. The location was convenient and had easy access to the path around Lake Dunstan. Breakfast was amazing. Sam and Fred did an awesome job with breakfasts. Breakfast was different on both days and was amazing. Muesli and cereals as well as a fruit and yoghurt mix. Also a cooked breakfast, on the first day we had breakfast sausages, mushrooms and tomatoes as well as poached egg on homemade bread and avocado on another slice and to finish off a danish pastry. Fruit juice and plunger coffee were also served. On the second morning we had cereals and muesli and the cooked part of the breakfast was a bacon and egg bap. What also blew us away was that we told them we were going to the Concert and were looking forward to seeing Pat Benetar. In the morning (before the concert) our host had put Pat Benetar music on for us to listen to while we ate breakfast. We felt very spoilt. It was only a few minutes walk to the lake. Beautiful place to stay and relax. Will definitely stay again.
