We chose this place to stay as an alternative to staying in Wellington. It is about 25 minutes drive to the port from there. It is a very modern apartment with views across the sandy bay below. It was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Not at all bad in content but we had to go out and buy more milk and marmalade, both of which were however useful for our next stop elsewhere. We could not get the, very new-looking, aircon to generate any heat but the host brought in a tenant of hers over the Easter weekend to try and fix it. It was not fixable at that time as a component had failed. Top marks though for customer service in trying to solve the problem! This is a lovely place to stay and peaceful compared to the city but there are not many places to eat around the area. We found one decent restaurant in nearby Poreira but drove into Wellington the next night and had a great meal at the Yacht Club which is open to the public.

The room is very tastefully done, the view is excellent, we felt very well taken care of by our host Raewynne.

Opportunities to eat or shop in the neighborhood are limited.

The place was lovely, clean and quiet with the most stunning view. It was so nice to come back to after a busy day at the office. Will look to stay again when I'm next in the area.

The apartment and location were immaculate! Our host Raewynne was friendly, helpful and very considerate of our needs. The views of the ocean and walks around the Bay were stunning!

The view was spectacular! Very short walk to the beach and so clean!

The view is absolutely amazing. The room itself is nice, it has what you need. The shower is very good.

The pillows were a little hard, but that’s absolutely a minor thing.

Great view, very clean room, quiet and private friendly and accomodative host

The view is amazing! Coffees on the deck was the best. The tui’s feed off the flax just at the end of the deck so close. Our host was very helpful but not intrusive. It felt like you had your own space rather than a room in someone’s house. Off street parking was perfect no one can see the cars. We had everything in the room we needed. Our first night we ditched the fine restaurant for fish and chips just so we could enjoy eating our dinner on the deck enjoying the view :) loved it!!

There’s nothing to dislike

It's a beautiful building near a shopping precinct and overlooking the bay. The apartment itself is kitted out to a high spec with lovely decor and furnishings. Our lovely host (Raewynne) couldn't have been more accommodating despite not feeling too well the day we arrived. She was even kind enough to fetch our washing in while we were out to stop it getting rained on. Just lovely!

I didn't realize the owner of the bnb was staying above the accommodation. Upstairs. She was very lovely though I was just super mindful to not make too much noise after hours. I'm sure it would've been ok regardless.

This is an exceptional property, the space is amazing with a million dollar view and friendly hospitable hosts including the beautiful cat. It was such an easy place to be in and located exactly where I needed to be.

The host was an absolute gem to deal with and made me feel so welcome. The room was extremely well appointed and I have never slept in such a comfortable Air BnB before, with a veiw of the ocean to warm the soul. I can't wait for my next trip to New Zealand, so I can stay again.

Best highlight of the stay is the seaview, and close to beach. And if you are a cat lover you are in luck, you will get a cute visitor (their housecat😻) in the morning to say hello to you. Very adorable and friendly cat.. I believe her name is dora, have added one pic to the collection 😊

Raewynne was a lovely host who was made sure our stay was exactly what we wanted. The room was extremely clean and provided everything we needed. Breakfast supplies were ample. The location suited our needs as we wanted to stay out of the city and near family and friends in Plimmerton and Kapiti Coast area.

An amazing house with an extremely clean environment, comfortable and stylish room. Thanks to the host for providing such a wonderful place for us.

We were visiting a friend in Tītahi Bay so the location was perfect for us and just around the corner from them. The view is lovely from Ātahu and it was very peaceful. There are a couple walks in close distance which are also beautiful. There are a small amount of shops in walking distance but a car is a must have for restaurants, bars etc.

We really enjoyed our stay although think if we were to stay longer, the space wouldn’t have suited us in terms of there not being any closet space and not having direct access to amenities like an iron and ironing board

We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay at Atahu in Titahi Bay. Raewynne our host went above and beyond in every way to make our week in her BEAUTIFUL home one we will remember and treasure always. The studio was absolutely gorgeous, luxurious in taste and decor and the view...breathtaking! Every morning Raewynne brought us the most delicious breakfast which we had on the deck overlooking the spectacular Titahi Bay. Our sheets and towels were changed every couple of days and the apartment serviced every single day. It was truly amazing! Thank You Raewynne for creating an exceptional home away from home for us to stay whilst in New Zealand. We miss you so much and can't wait to return to your lovely Bed and Breakfast again. Very clean and new unit, quiet with view facing the sea. Comfortable bed, clean modern bathroom. Fridge, toaster, microwave, kettle, nespresso in the room, and nicely presented breakfast brought in each morning. Raewynne was a fantastic host. We had a lovely weekend.

View of Titahi Bay was superb. The beds very comfortable with very nice linen, and very clean aparment. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Although there was a microwave, it would have been good to have some basic utensils such as a sharp knife, mixing bowl, platter, and a basic hotplate and pan/pot for more food preparation convenience. Also would have been good to stock the tea/coffee/milk up so the host didn't need to come in to do that daily, and when changing over and washing towels, to not do this in the washing machine in the apartment we were staying in.

The breakfast was lovely and fresh and personal service. The view is beautiful, unbroken view of the sea and surf with very practical private roller blinds on the big sliding doors. Host is delightful and we will be returning again very soon.

Everything was wonderful, can't think of anything we didn't like.

Having lived in Wellington 30+ years ago I was surprised to find this little gem. Great views of the local islands, beach huts and the rugged coastline. If you have never had a Paua Fritter, be sure to ask for one at the local Fish and Chip shop and wash it down with a pint of craft beer within 10 minutes walk from the accomodation. Raewynne was a great host and if youre lucky, she'll meet you for an early morning walk to dust off the cobwebs

The room was spacious and well equipped and adequate for our needs. The sound of the sea was sophorific and we had a great night's sleep. The location was ideal with off street parking and in easy reach of the capital city. As parking in any city is fraught with difficulty, Atahu was located such that the train station c/w free parking was easy to reach. There was a shopping centre nearby also to purchase foodstuffs to make a meal as the local restaurants did not appeal. The host was most attentive and informative. The breakfast was a welcome bonus.

We were very concious of the list of rules and sought not to disturb our host. Nevertheless we could not get the place warm and cosy in the evening. The abscence of carpet and soft furnishing makes it very difficult to be quiet also. We tried to use the extractor fan as little as possible. In the morning we would have liked to open the door and sit on the patio but were very conscious that the cat would enter the apartment.

Raewynne was a friendly attentive hostess Lovely views of the beach from the room. A very comfortable bed and the whole studio was very clean. I had a lovely stay.

A little tricky to find one of the roads to travel to the accommodation. Not well signposted. At times, it was difficult to turn right to get back onto the main Titahi Bay Road. Easier to turn left and then do a right hand turn further up the road. Sometimes the traffic was quite busy.

Didn't spend as much time to use the home features that much. Great view from the rooms, if the weather was better would've used the outdoor furniture

We chose the location as something different to being in central Wellington and were very pleased with our choice. Views were wonderful, walking tracks and the beach were great. Room was very clean, and well-appointed, service was friendly and attentive.

The view and apartment were amazing. The owner was very helpful and gave us a lot of information about the area. You could take a nice walk on the beach that was just a short walk from the apartment. It was about a 20 minute drive to Wellington. Also if you like cats, she has a lovely one that likes to visit. Would highly recommend the apartment.

Everything was spectacular!! The view was absolutely amazing, the breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh, the cleanliness was stellar, the hospitality by Raewynne was lovely... everything was beyond our expectations. The pictures don't do the place justice. The weather for a while was severe, with massive winds, but the house is built so solidly, you felt no drafts or insecurity. The owner thought of everything to make you feel safe, upgraded, and well cared for.

Modern B&B on the coast, new everything. Attention to detail and a luxury feel. The location was amazing, the host was accommodating and her story of renovation and creating the B&B was inspiring. Many people attempt a B&B to varying success, this host exceeds what is expected.

The location and view was amazing, the studio was compact but beautifully clean. Raewynne was very accomodating. The bus stop is just outside, even own entrance down to the beach. Shops and a nice cafe in walking distance. We said at the time, it's the best we have ever stayed at.

Atahu was a lovely one bedroom stay, the view and attention to detail were fantastic.

There wasn’t much room for suitcases etc - so more suited to a weekend away.

really nice spot overlooking the water, the bed was really comfortable and the outdoor area is a nice setting, it is a very nicely set up place

I really felt the 'you are a guest in someone's home' atmosphere which made me feel like i couldn't really relax. Particulary as the host came and gave me a list of things i needed to be conscious of: - heat from laptops marking the table - being careful of pulling blinds up so the beads weren't caught on fabric as it pulled the fabric - brining in the outdoor cushions at night (granted this was for my benefit so they weren't wet to sit on) - turning off the fan as soon as the steam had cleared as the noise was heard really loudly in the main house This information was all provided to me within my first half hour of arriving at the property when i was really tired after an early flight to Wellington that morning at 6am and then having been in a long meeting all day. So i was tired and just wanted to be able to come back and relax. Whilst i appreciated it was with a very genuine desire to be a good host and it was said as an 'if its convenient please let me know when you are leaving as i will come and say goodbye', for me personally my preference is to have my own space and to come and go with as little fuss as possible when i am travelling for work.
