Meadowside B&B

I stopped here while doing the Wicklow Way by myself. This place is amazing! The building itself il very pretty, and the rooms are nice, clean, and have everything you might need. It’s also in a very good position, from where you can easily reach local restaurants and cafes. Also, Phil is such a good host, she is so welcoming and kind and tries to accommodate as much as possible your request, I had to leave early to take a bus and she still managed to give me a full breakfast before I left. It was a real pleasure to stay here. Would definitely recommend!!!

We loved meeting Phil, she was warm, welcoming and considerate to our needs. The whole building looked authentic and in immaculate condition. The room was luxurious, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely.

Wir wurden so freundlich empfangen und haben uns in diesem gemütlichen Haus sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Bett war sehr bequem und wir haben traumhaft geschlafen. Alles ist sehr sauber und das irische Frühstück war lecker. Die Unterkunft ist ca. 5 km vom Start- bzw. Endpunkt des Wicklow Way entfernt. Für uns perfekt. Wir haben uns soo wohl gefühlt. We had a very pleasant stay at Meadowside. Our host was super friendly and provided all the information we asked for. The room was nice and clean and breakfast was nice.

Beautiful place, the host Phil is an absolute gem and makes you feel like family the moment you arrive. Beautiful property, immaculate rooms and top hospitality. With WiFi, towels, tea and coffee and lovely views with a garden view from bedroom.. parking on site too. Lovely freshly made breakfast! Top service. We will be back!!

The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. And very peaceful which I hadn't expected as it a big house. The bathroom was well stocked, and towels plentiful and fluffy. Phil was such a fantastic hostess super attentive and clearly loves what she does. Breakfast was super tasty with great coffee. And the WiFi simple to access and very speedy. Plenty of on site parking.

We stayed here the night before walking the Wicklow Way back to Dublin. It's about a block from the bus stop, so we were able to take it down from Dublin. Phil Kinsella is a charming hostess with a wonderful backyard for bird watching at sunset. Short walk to the pub for dinner, wonderful bed and sheets, and an absolutely fantastic breakfast before we started our 20km.

Charming B&B and host. Felt a bit as if we were having tea with the queen:-). Lady Phil is such a sweet person.

Breakfast had everything you need, however compared to other places we stayed at during our trip, portions were rather small and simple.

My husband and I stayed here for one night. The house which is on the main street has extensive parking and a beautiful garden to the rear. Our room was very comfortable and included tea/coffee making facilities and had good wifi. Phil was a very welcoming hostess. She suggested a nice restaurant where we had a delicious dinner. Breakfast was equally delicious with a vast selection which was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend a stay at Meadowside B&B if you are in the Bunclody area. You won't be disappointed.

La Signora Phil ci ha accolto molto cordialmente, ci ha accompagnati alla stanza e dato ottime indicazioni su dove cenare nel paese. Camera e ambienti comuni pulitissimi, accoglienti e rilassanti. Parcheggio comodo e sicuro. Colazione servita dolce o salata, preparata con cura e molto buona! Prima di partire abbiamo chiacchierato piacevolmente con la Signora Phil, che ci ha dedicato attenzione anche se avevamo praticamente le valige già nel bagagliaio. Una sosta breve, ma davvero molto, molto piacevole.

Niente da dire: il Meadowside è una struttura gestita con amore e esperienza.

We were very well received by the owner who also gave us advice on where to go for dinner and even called the taxi for us as we needed one for the next morning. The room was meticulously decorated which gave a feeling of warmth and harmony as soon as we entered it. Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was a highlight of itself. The food was prepared with care and served in a room that me feel like being in a palace.

Perfect accommodation with a super friendly host. The Wifi worked perfectly well and the breakfast was dilicious. Try the porridge. It was the best I ever had.

A simpatia da senhora Phil é absolutamente única. A moradia era muito acolhedora, decorada num estilo clássico e de cores muito agradáveis. Quartos amplos e um pequeno almoço excecional. Adorámos.

stayed 1 night in preparation for golfing locally next day. Location is in town with good off street parking. The host provided guidance on where to eat for dinner post our arrival. The breakfast was good and plenty of it, ordering from a variety of options the night before. Beds were comfortable, in a spacious room with well equipped ensuite. After a hearty breakfast I enjoyed an hour in the rear patio/seating area reading the morning paper enjoying the sunshine.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike - a great stay!

Stayed one night with my son ahead of playing golf in Bunclody. Property is in town, and we had a lovely spacious 2 bed room with all usual amenities and good shower. Our host directed us to a local bar/restaurant for a quality evening meal a 5 min walk away. Beds very comfortable and great breakfast in the morning having pre-ordered from nice options the night before. Nice garden/seating area at the rear where I spent an enjoyable hour reading the paper is summer sunshine after breakfast. Highly recommend.

So enjoyed our stay at Meadowside B&B, such a friendly, well run, super comfortable little place to stay. Can't fault anything, it was lovely...just what we wanted. We stayed 5 nights and could have stayed longer. Lovely host. Well done indeed, Phil, thanks.

Before even stepping inside the premises, we took a moment to admire how picturesque and beautifully maintained the property was. We then received a very very warm and genuine welcome from Phil. It was like arriving home. Everything was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. The room was very bright and airy, again absolutely immaculate. There was great water pressure in the shower and the beds were very comfortable. There was an amazing choice for breakfast and Phil couldn't have been more accommodating. She was very helpful and arranged transportation for us to the Wicklow Way trail and gave us some great recommendations for local food. I can't recommend Meadowside B&B enough. I will definitely be returning.

We stayed at Meadowside … a beautiful experience … a truly friendly and welcoming host. Nothing was too much trouble. A relaxing and glorious garden and beautiful features inside made our experience perfect after our 8 day walking Wicklow.

Die Unterkunft hat den typischen GB Charme, ist sehr gepflegt und liegt direkt im Zentrum von Bunclody. Mrs Phil kümmert sich liebevoll um alle Gäste und es kann auch ein günstiger Transport von/nach Clonegall arrangiert werden (Wicklow Way).

Easy communication with Phil and great help with getting a taxi from Clonegal. She took care of all the details. Location is in the center of town and near restaurants. Room was cool in temp and quiet. No outside noise, just beautiful flowers to be seen outside the window. Breakfast was fantastic with many choices available. I had the omelette and it was served with toast, coffee, juice and more. Easy and personal check-in and check-out. We had a great ending to our Wicklow Way Walk. The bus to take us back to Dublin was only a 3 minute walk from the B&B. A very good value for the price.

We had a very good stay prior to our start of the Wicklow Way. Phil was very friendly and helpful. Wifi was strong and worked perfectly, room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast was very tasteful with good meal options, and the whole property had a very nice atmosphere to it. We had great weather and enjoyed the seating area in the back yard in the evening. We recommend this B&B.

Schöne, gut gepflegte Unterkunft in Bunclody, wo wir nach einer langen Wanderung sehr herzlich empfangen wurden. Das Zimmer war groß, sauber und die Betten sehr bequem. Zum Frühstück gab es mehrere warme Gerichte zur Auswahl. Pubs, Supermärkte und Bushaltestellen sind nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt.

Meadowside is a lovely little B&B whose owner is attuned to the needs of Wicklow Way hikers. While not on the Way, Phil will organize a taxi for you to take you to or from the start/end depending on your direction. You will also be provided a hearty Irish breakfast. Yummy!

The facility is on a well-traveled road, making it easy to get around Bunclody but susceptible to traffic noise.

Second time I have stayed here and it won't be the last,it is a lovely place to stay and Phil is so nice to deal with. She's exceptionally friendly and will spend time getting to know you and informing you of all the local amenities. Rooms and breakfast are top notch,highly recommended.

My friend and I stayed at Meadowside the night before we set out to walk the Wicklow Way, and it couldn't have been better. Lovely B&B as B&Bs should be: comfortable, homely and with a personal touch. Phil is a great hostess with a warm welcome and upgraded us to a quiet large bedroom at the back of the house. Beds were super comfortable.

Wir hatten zu fünft zwei schöne ruhige Zimmer. Die Parkmöglichkeit auf dem Hof war sehr praktisch. Wir bekamen einen guten Restaurant Tipp, Holy Grail. Tolles umfangreiches Frühstück. Nette hilfsbereite Gastgeberin.

Meadowside B and B is a beautiful house located in the pretty town of Bunclody in County Wexford. The location is great as it's so close to the shops and restaurants. Phyllis is a very welcoming and gracious host. We stayed in January and she had the heating on for the duration of our stay. We were so warm and cosy! Rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated. We would highly recommend Meadowside for a break away. Martin and Julie Anne

The location was great right in heart of bunclody walking distance to shops and restaurants. The garden was fabulous out the back and we felt like we were in garden heaven !
