Het was erg warm op de kamer; ondanks dat we alle ramen de hele avond open hebben gehad. De gedeelde badkamer is op de eerste verdieping dus moesten we ‘s nachts de trap omhoog. Wij waarderen een persoonlijk ontvangst. Bij deze accommodatie ging dat via een e-mail.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026We had some trouble with the people in the room next door, but Agnes sorted that out swiftly! After that, a perfectly good night's sleep was had! Having a fully equipped kitchen makes a stay at the Monkey Puzzle all the more enjoyable. The bathroom downstairs is wheelchair accessible.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Really well presented, clean and welcoming, with little touches like flowers on the tables in the shared areas that made it welcoming. Agnes was such a great host and obviously takes prides in this Accommodation and it shows. The shared bathroom was always clean. A kitchen and facilities gave opportunity to eat in if you wished and there was oil and sauces etc . Felt very homely. Very good value for money

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Świetne miejsce na zakończenie wędrówki szlakiem Wicklow Way. Gospodyni przywiozła nas swoim samochodem ze szlaku do hotelu. Była bardzo pomocna przy zameldowaniu się i zorientowaniu w logistyce na następny dzień. W środku czyste, funkcjonalnie urządzone pokoje.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026super organizzato, moderno, pulito, la cucina condivisa era pulita, ben fornita di prodotti, noi ci eravamo comprati qualcosa ma c'erano latte, proteine, cereali di tutti i tipi, tè e tisane. succhi di frutta, sapone per piatti e panni per pulire. Microonde, pentole, tutte le stoviglie in ordine e pulite, cestini per la raccolta differenziata, insomma perfetto. i tavoli erano apparecchiati con un piacevole mazzolino di fiori a rallegrare l'inizio della giornata. Parcheggio comodissimo. check in e check out in autonomia ma il personale super disponibile. Stanze leggermente piccole ma senza problemi, servono per dormire, a disposizione invece spazi comuni molto carini.

La décoration est de très bon goût et l'équipement pour cuisiner est largement dimensionné. La gérante Agnès est très sympathique et peut donner des conseils utiles pour voyager dans la région. Le Monkey Puzzle est en plus très bien situé pour explorer le comté de Wiclow et la région de Kilkenny

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026This place has a really really good vibe. Checking in was easy and Agnes made us feel very welcome. The rooms and facilities were exactly as described. Everything was spotlessly clean. The cooking facilities were top notch and we were able to wash and dry our clothes in the laundry room. It has plenty of parking and there is a beautiful garden too. It is within easy walking distance of the town but there is a large supermarket just across the way. This accommodation surpassed my expectations in every respect and I would definitely stay here again. It is very, very reasonably priced.
The bathrooms are shared which might not suit everyone. I would have very much preferred to have an en-suite but the fact the rooms do not have this, is reflected in the price of the accommodation.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026Hostitelka Agnes velmi přátelská. V Dublinu jsme nemohli sehnat plynovou kartuši, Agnes nám ji připravila na pokoj. Vše bylo hezky čisté a uklizené. Nejvkusnější společné prostory v ubytování podobného typu.
Z popisu nebylo patrné, že se v případě Economy pokoje jedná o pokoj se sdílenou toaletou a koupelnou. Naštěstí byly tyto prostory čisté a málo obsazené.

Reviewed May 24, 2026The Monkey Puzzle is such a lovely building in nice grounds. Everything was exceptionally clean, tidy and comfortable. Agnes was very communicative and available to answer any questions. We had a shared bathroom that I didn’t realise that I had booked at the time of booking but to be honest the toilets and showers were spotless and it wasn’t a problem.
