Cosy Canal Studio is in easy walking distance to most touristy things. There are plenty of eateries close by, as well as a supermarket. We were there on a Saturday and the weekly artisan market was on in the square around the corner and had beautiful fresh produce. The bed was comfortable with a nice shower. Babette is a wonderful host, very helpful and a great communicator.

Cosy Canal Studio is in the basement of the building below street level. The steps down to it are steep. The entrance is into a laundry/storeroom, which isn't attractive or inviting. You can hear footsteps from upstairs and voices at times. The weather was exceptionally hot when we were there and only one window opened.

The location was absolutely perfect - it felt like we were only a ten minute walk from everything including the central station. There was a good amount of space for two people and Babette, who we had the pleasure of meeting briefly, was extremely helpful - offering to refresh the towels and allowing us to store our luggage after check out. The book of local recommendations was also great. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend.

Great location, about 10 minutes walk from central station. Ideal for couples looking for a very reasonably priced room. Really lovely owner who was always ready to help and very quick on responses via the booking.com chat. All the basic facilities covered, despite not having air conditioning it remained cool even on the hotter days and a fan is available in the room. The room was clean and comfortable for me and my partner. And they have a swing in the hallway like that’s a lot of fun

The only two things me and my partner thought could be improved was the shower grid didn’t cover the full width of the shower and that would cause quite a bit of water to run on the floor and just to have some bowels in the room. Other than that no issues at all

Not much to write home about on this property. It was clean is all.

The property was hard to find, had no sign on the door. I rang a wrong bell first, and we were standing out in the rain trying to figure out how to get in the right door. Finally got buzzed in, but no real person to greet us. Opens into a basement laundry room full of stuff. Thought it would have a view of the canal, but it was a basement room in the back of the house, through the laundry room with little bitty windows to the back. Bathroom was private but down the hall. Nothing particularly attractive about the room. Not easy to figure out how the door worked, and never saw a real person.

Great location! It's on a quiet canal street, but just 10 minutes walk to Amsterdam Centraal station, trams, buses and the free ferry to Amsterdam Noord. Some great options nearby to eat out. The studio itself was very comfortable, and the host (Babette) was an excellent communicator. She has a video on YouTube that you can watch in advance to see the facilities and learn how the different features work, such as the app** for the front door lock and how to control the room temperature. **Just remember to download the relevant app in advance, accept the invitation that Babette sends a couple of days beforehand, enable your phone or device Bluetooth, and then swipe on the app to unlock the front door. For extra security, there is also a physical key in the room to lock the door between the laundry room and the corridor to the room.

For me, everything was great :) Just be aware though that you have to go down a few steps at the entrance (+ one big step on the inside), so this option would not be suitable if you have mobility issues.

Location on a canal, in the heart of Amsterdam and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see/do was great. We liked having our independent entrance, and the Nuki app arrangement for access worked well. The bed was very comfortable.We didn’t actually get to meet Babette but she was easy to communicate with and gave us helpful suggestions including for a personal guide to the Rijksmuseum which was great. Her charming young son welcomed us and showed us round when we arrived earlier than expected and we were able to leave our luggage and go off exploring.

We had some difficulty accessing the souterrain accommodation especially with our heavy suitcases ( about 4 steep steps down without a handrail) but that’s because we are in our late 70s. It wouldn’t bother a younger person. The accommodation was spacious and had everything we needed - maybe more shelf space to put things on would have been good.

Lovely studio in great location far enough away from the centre that you can get a peaceful nights sleep. It rained quiet heavy when we were visiting and the property stayed so cozy and warm it was just what we needed after getting drenched in the city centre. The bed was very comfortable. We had a physical key which was left for us and used the Nuki app which was good so we both had access if needing to go back separately. Didn’t meet Babette this visit but her polite son was helpful when checking in. We cannot wait to book our next trip

Nothing bad to say about the property, only annoying thing is that I didn’t notice the hairdryer under the sink until the morning we were leaving.

È la seconda volta che soggiorno qui, in quanto la prima volta sono stata pochi giorni e ho voluto ritornare di nuovo qui soprattutto perché è nel quartiere più bello di Amsterdam. La struttura è molto accogliente, calda e soprattutto in una posizione ottima per girare al meglio la città. L’appartamento ovviamente ottima per brevi soggiorni in quanto è un b&b ma collocato in una posizione ottimale in quanto si può raggiungere benissimamente a piedi o comunque coi mezzi. La host Babette inoltre sempre disponibile per qualsiasi evenienza e il cambio delle asciugamani avviene molto spesso. Ho apprezzato molto ri-soggiornare qui.

You had to sit on the bed as no table and chairs The owners are upstairs and were always loud, walking around kids and loud music Says washer and dryer which is why we booked the room and the owners left the washing wet in them all 4 n so unable to use and you had to pay use Went to laundry place and paid instead Was in the basement so cold smelly and overall not a great experience

Perfect location

Cool relaxing apartment at the intersection of the Brouwersgracht and Prisengracht, AMAZING. We’ll be staying here from now on, when we come to Amsterdam.

Location is fantastic, close to train station and easy walking distance from much of the city. Area is quiet but still has plenty of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. Babette is the most helpful and generous host, making us feel comfortable and welcome the entire time. The appartment is excellent value for Amsterdam. Access to a fridge and basic plates/cutlery, along with a coffee machine and pods (supplied) allowed us to prepare breakfasts and lunches during our stay.

The apartment is in an excellent location, the center itself can be reached by easy walking along the canal, it is clean and tidy. Babette is a wonderful lady who was at our service all the time and we felt like we belonged there, we have never encountered such hospitality before.

Walking distance to Centraal Station and easy access to pubs and restaurants. Host very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to see etc.

O local está muito bem localizado, com fácil acesso a tudo em Amsterdam. O quarto é bom e o banheiro e lavabo são bons também. Tem muitas amenidades ótimas para viajantes (até kit de costura rápida!). A Babette é muito atenciosa, sempre verificando se tudo estava bem. Gostamos bastante.

Babette was an excellent communicator and we found everything as described. Studio was amazingly quiet and we slept very well. Nuki (door app) worked great!

The location was excellent, the bed was comfy and the communication with the host and support was excellent. we were able to use the fridge and washing machine in the basement which was appreciated. the outlook onto the courtyard was nice and opening the windows allowed for some nice ventilation. We were able to leave our bags until check in time which was great.

There is not a kitchen as such as it lists in facilities- it is a large cupboard with some plates and bits in. The pictures looked to me like there was a hallway to another space, but it is not. so it is a bedroom with an ensuite and a hallway to the bathroom. It did at times get hot in the room, a fan was provided but no air con available.

Location was excellent and it was nice and warm. Bed was comfortable and good to have some books on Amsterdam available. The welcome waffle was wonderful.

Was a little noisy with footsteps above and one night about 2.30 in the morning someone came in walking around quite a bit which woke us both up and there was a dog barking periodically. Annoying but not a real problem.

The owner was very helpful and responded quickly. Location is optimum....a short walk to the Central train station.

The small entrance hall in the basement is full of clutter, which affects the first impression. The sound insulation between the room in basement and the above floors is not that good.

The location was perfect, the bed was nice big and super comfy. The studio had everything we needed. Loved the little touches of welcome note and additional toiletries provided. The YouTube video to assist with checking in with the key app, was super helpful and made checking into the property easy to understand.

Could slightly hear upstairs residents walking around but this didn't effect us sleeping as we understand they have children above us.

This apartment was very cozy. It was clean and tidy, in a great location, and the owner was prompt in getting back to us when we needed help.

We didn't like the automatic entrance set up through the app, as it didn't work, but Babette was very approachable and able to let us in remotely without any problems. There was a spare key inside the unit. We would have liked to have a small table or something inside the room to put things on. It would have been great to have another chair in the room instead of using the bed for everything.

Amazing location. It would be hard to find a prettier spot to stay. As well as being right next to a its also close to shops, restaurants, and cafes. The host was super friendly and helpful.

The bed is soft, but this is a matter of taste. There are some problems with humidity as the shower is attached to the bedroom.

Great location and really appreciated the effort the host had gone to to recommend good nearby spots for various possible needs. Plenty of towels and nice touches with books and amenities being supplied.

One towel did have a slight smell to it, but the host replaced it as soon as we mentioned it. A lack of ventilation in the room led to condensation build up on the windows overnight which we had to clear by leaving them open whenever we left for the day. A bit of mold starting in the curtains suggests dampness in the room has been an ongoing problem here - perhaps a dehumidifier is required? Noted there was no fridge in the room even though it was advertised (not that it bothered us).

Amazing location! Very clean and private. Host was great at communicating and gave us great recommendations for local spots to eat. They very kindly allowed us to store our luggage after check out as well which meant we could do more exploring before leaving Amsterdam!

The location was superb! We were able to use the fridge and room was a good size, bed was comfortable and the owner was very responsive.

It would of been good to have a microwave handy. Shower needs better drainage.

Staff, localization, easy acces. Kept our luggage how we needed. Entrance is through the washing room, but is fine. The bed is big, very good.

Smell of water, but that's from the city/canals. Bathroom is fine and the WC room is a little small and is next door to the room. Not a real problem, but may be for kids. The lady recommend us where to eat and what can we visit.

The room was lovely, super comfortable large bed and incredible location. You won't find anything closer to the city centre for 2 with an en suite for cheaper.

We weren't big fans of the way you enter and exit the property. Having to download an app and pray my phone doesn't die or I lose it otherwise I have no way to enter the property. Definitely very secure but a key would have been much easier.

Since we have not been to Amsterdam before, it was honestly the best location and place to stay to see it all. We highly appreciate babette for her ongoing communication and suggestions for our stay. The seperate access to the house ‘ literally on the canal ‘ was beneficial to come and go as we pleased and nothing was too far away to experience! We highly recommend this place for anyone in a couple or two people travelling, especially those who love good coffee and pastries We hope to be back again one day Thank you babette

Couldn’t recommend this accommodation highly enough! Very responsive and helpful host, the accommodation is very centrally location, close to many shops, bars and attractions! It was warm and spacious and clean, with lots of little extras such as coffee machine, kettle, delph, towels, many toiletries etc. Excellent shower too! We loved our stay here and would definitely book again!

We had a lovely and enjoyable stay that was beyond expectation thanks to Babette! We were welcomed with Stroopwafels when arriving and the place was so clean ~ Towels, shampoo, shower gel, coffee and tea were included too Although she was not physically there, she took time to suggest places to book in advance and breakfast adresses. Also when we needed additional blanket and informed about an alarm ringing for no reason, she handled everything greatly from distance ~ Every single issue were solved and did not impact our stay at all 👍 We could even leave our luggages after check out and had a lovely word and chocolates for our departure. Would recommand 1000% !! NB: the appartment is the one down the stairs, from the street, not the one above the stairs 🤗
