Очень хороший отель с отличным месторасположением. Рядом хороший пляж, рыбный рынок, магазины, автовокзал и жд станция. Не смотря на это в отеле очень тихо и уютно. Красивый и ухоженный двор. Если будет возможность, обязательно останавлюсь здесь ещё раз на более долгий срок. Рекомендую

Très belle maison et très belle chambre. Emplacement super proche de la plage et l’hôte Paddy et son fils ont été très gentil avec possibilité de laisser les bagages après le checkout.

Очень красивый и чистый домик. Наверное в Хиккадуве самый лучший вариант! Идеально расположен, находится в центре, но шум с улице совсем не доходил,только слушали пение птиц. Рекомендую 10 из 10!

Die Unterkunft ist vom Bahnhof aus sehr gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Da wir mit dem Zug angereist sind, war das für uns sehr praktisch. Der Busbahnhof ist ebenfalls sehr nahegelegen. Von dort aus kommt man mit dem Bus oder Tuktuk gut zum Strand oder in belebtere Straßen mit Geschäften und Restaurants. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit! Trinkwasser wurde kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt. Außerhalb der Check In/Check Out Zeiten durften wir unser Gepäck in der Unterkunft zwischenlagern und deren privates Badezimmer benutzen. Bei unserer Abreise hat uns der Besitzer sogar in seinem Auto mitgenommen und zum Bahnhof gebracht :)

Leider hat die Klimaanlage ihren Zweck nicht wirklich erfüllt, war dafür aber sehr laut. Immerhin gab es noch einen Deckenventilator, Dank dem wir trotz der heißen Temperaturen einigermaßen gut schlafen konnten.

За такую цену я даже и предполагать не могла, что будет так комфортно, уютно и атмосферно👍 Локация отличная - две минуты пешком и вы сворачиваете на центральную улицу (там же их местная автостанция), минут 10 -15 ходьбы до пляжа с черепахами, пять минут ходьбы до рынка с овощами, фруктами и морепродуктами. Заходишь на территорию гостевого дома и как будто в другой мир попал - уютная зеленая территория , где спокойно и только за спиной где-то там проезжают машины. Нам или повезло, что мы отдыхали здесь одни или нам так показалось) Сам номер просторный и чистый,вода горячая есть. Нет чая/кофе/сахара и рыльно-мыльных принадлежностей, но это особо не имеет значение, тк у нас все свое, есть фен👌 Вай фай есть, но работает не идеально, но это тоже не омрачило ситуацию. Хозяин приятный улыбчивый мужчина. Вообщем рекомендую👌 особенно за такие деньги

В последний день пребывания перед нашим номером жгли мусор. Завтрак был красиво сервирован, но не вкусный.

Дом находится в нескольких минутах ходьбы от океана и центральной улицы. В комнате есть холодильник (что для бюджетного жилья редкость) и даже микроволновка. Теплая вода, кондиционер, вентилятор - все в наличии. После выселения хозяин разрешил воспользоваться душем, поскольку трансфер у нас был в 23.00. Двор ухоженный, чистый.

Camellia Dwelling was a dream to stay at! Very central to restaurants, ATMs, beach and mart. The spacious room had everything we needed- fresh water from the properties well, comfortable bed, hot shower, a fridge, aircon and fan. Paddy, the owner, was incredibly helpful and kind. We had a delicious breakfast every day looking out onto the pristine garden. His staff were always helpful and friendly. We will definitely return to this clean and wonderful property. Thank you for everything.

A nice green place. It was clean and silent, as the building was in the second row and hence not direct at the street. The beach is just a few min ago. The owner is really friendly and supports you, if you need something.

Beautiful well kept property. Drinking water available, room and bathroom clean. Room very spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view of the garden. Host very welcoming. We only stayed for one night but it was superb!

My wife and I stayed at Camellia Dwelling, and it was an amazing experience. The property is beautiful, and the rooms were absolutely neat and clean, including the bedsheets and toilets. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and hot water was always available. The best part of this property is the host. I have been working in the travel industry since 2016, but trust me — I have never seen such incredible hospitality. The host is truly amazing — I have no words to express my appreciation. He treats you just like family. When you leave this place, it will be hard to say goodbye because the host is so kind, caring, and helpful. He even noticed our big bags and personally accompanied us to the railway station — a gesture we’ll never forget. I highly recommend this property to everyone. Honestly, if you visit Hikkaduwa and don’t stay here, your trip will feel incomplete. If there was a rating higher than 10, I would definitely give it! Thank you so much for such an amazing stay!

Don't miss Camellia if you visit Hikkaduwa. We spent a week in the charming mansion Camellia, centrally and quietly located, a few minutes walk away from the beach and center. The building is a little hidden from the street and is surrounded by a blooming garden. The room with all amenities was spacious and quiet. Our host Paddy spoiled us with a delicious and varied breakfast, he showed us the eating habits of the country with the respective national dishes. His humor and knowledge of the country and its people was unique, he helped his guests and also us with reservations, excursions and transfers. We highly recommend this property and will book this accommodation again on our visit.

I highly recommend this villa for your vacation or remote work. A friendly, caring, attentive owner. The villa is very spacious with a beautiful garden and all the necessary amenities. The number is spacious, there is everything you need (air conditioning, fan, storage places, refrigerator and microwave oven). Good Internet if you need to work. Very tasty breakfast, large cuisine and dining area. Safe accommodation, gate and gate are closed to the lock. There is a place for parking in the territory of the villa. The excellent location of the villa, not far from the bus stop, railway stage and beach. The very good -natured owner helped us deliver suitcases to the station.

The host, Paddy was very friendly! Helped us with our trip planning and took us to his cinnamon farm where he explained and showed us the production of cinnamon! The hotel Camellia Dwelling was very clean! You can book a nice, big, selfmade breakfast for 5$. It’s close to the beach and scuba diving school. Love to come here again. A nice garden outside.

We really liked the host, the house, the story behind, and the overall services. The rooms were clean and aesthetic.

Convenient location near the road. Close to a clean and comfortable beach for swimming, a bus station, a railway station, shops, markets, and cafes. Everything you need is within walking distance from the house. The house itself and the surrounding area are very tidy , beautiful and clean. The owner, his family, and the assistant are friendly and pleasant people. There are tables and chairs on the premises, perfect for relaxing. There's also a shared living room where we had interesting conversations with the owner. Additionally, we were taught how to cook jackfruit and banana flower. After cooking, we enjoyed a communal dinner. The breakfasts are fresh and delicious. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with everything necessary provided. It’s convenient for both short stays and longer-term visits. Thank you for the hospitality. We highly recommend this place for staying in Hikkaduwa!

Amazing place and host! They were super friendly. Highly recommend.

The owner was lovely, and very welcoming into his home. We stayed in the private room which was just next to the house, it felt very safe and private. We had breakfast which was very good. The location was good, but would recommend walking down to Narigama beach rather than Hikkaduwa beach as it was much better in our opinion and better restaurant options nearby.

I really enjoyed my one night stay. A real bed and breakfast on very nice grounds, great location, great breakfast and Paddy was a very hospitable host that I enjoyed talking with. Great value. Recommend!

Pathi was such a great host. Him and the other guy both cooked us breakfast both mornings which included hoppers, omlettw, juice, fruit all fresh in the lovely garden. Wonderful ! Paddy and Hrames took care of us as if we were their family during our stay in this luxury property with an amazing garden. Nice healthy breakfast, comfortable bed in a clean and spacious room, such a calm place in walking distance to the beach, restaurants and railway station! Flexibility for an early check in and a late check out. In addition to the precious advices, they dropped us to the station to catch the train. Much appreciated 😊!

We stayed 4 nights at Camellia Dwelling. The rooms are very big and comfortable. the place is very close (few minutes walk)to shops , public transport and beautiful beaches and still very quiet and far enough from the street noise. Padi - the owner and Rames , his helper , are so nice and helpfull and made us very fresh and tasty breakfast. I strongly recommends Camellia Dwelling

Pady, the owner is a great host. I could use a bicycle free of charge to explore the surroundings of Hikkaduwa. The breakfast and the dinner was delightful, you can choose Western or Sri Lanka food. Although located in the center of Hikkaduwa near the railway station, it is quiet and the rooms are spacious. Pady also showed me his cinnemon plantation, where I could learn all about organic cinnemon production. Laundry service was also offered. Pady even brought me by his car to Galle, my next station. Highly recommended, next time again.

Very clean hotel, very friendly owner

One of the best places I've stayed at in Sri Laka. Even better than the photos suggest. Wonderfully spacious room with comfy bed, fridge and air con. The host is a lovely person and interesting to talk to about Buddhism, local politics, the tsunami and his cinnamon farm over a tasty breakfast that can be prepared on request. Away from the main buzy drag and set in beautifully maintained gardens, but also super close to the beach and coral sanctuary. The perfect place to stay in Hikkaduwa. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Camellia Dwelling. The location was very good (close to the beach and train station yet a quiet area) and the room had everything we needed. But the best part of our stay was the host: he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay and experienced the Sri Lankan culture. We had typical Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner at this place, adjusted to our wishes and allergies, which was extremely delicious. When we asked if we could check out later the host answered that everything is possible at Camellia Dwelling - which really described our stay here! Would definitely recommend this place!

The staff was very friendly, especially the owners Mr. Pady. The location is close to the bus and train station, but still very peaceful and quiet.

Hikkaduwa's best beaches are bit more south from this location

the best place to stay in Hikkaduwa! we arrived late night before our stay began and the host let us in our room without even taking payment first! the property is always in contact with you before and during your stay. the room is spacious, clean, they have really good air conditioning and beautiful garden. quiet and peaceful place near the less crowded part of Hikkaduwa beach. Placed right near the bus station and away from the crowd and noise. definitely recommend!
