De mooi farm met de talrijke dieren. De gastvrijheid, je voelde je onmiddellijk thuis. De mooie omgeving.

Clean and spacious.

This is a bungalow with large windows overlooking the yard and drive area. Unfortunately the lack of any sort of blind or sheer fabric curtain meant that anyone outside had full view into the room.

The staff were very friendly.the grounds were lovely to have a walk after a long drive. The breakfast was great

Great stay at the farm! Very animal and kids friendly, lots of farm animals in the property that are absolutely lovely! Great and comfortable room with big beds and awesome views. Our family was provided with a travel cot and bedding for our little one, which we really appreciated. Breakfast is wonderful as well, very filling! We had a great stay there overall and it was a nice start to our Scotland trip. If you’re wondering whether you should stay there, you absolutely do! You will not regret!

Notre séjour a été parfait. Chambre spacieuse, literie confortable... Le personnel était très sympathique et àl'écoute. Petit déjeuner plus que copieux avec une superbe vue sur la prairie.

This place is an absolute gem! We would move in if we could! The room was perfect and our tour guide (a dog) was THE BEST! Honestly, it was hard to leave.

La ferme est très facile à trouver avec maps. Un peu étonnées au départ par l'entrée en autonomie dans la chambre, nous avons compris que la famille fonctionne sur la confiance et toutes les personnes sont adorables, principalement rencontrées lors du petit déjeuner. La chambre est immense, très confortable, belle salle de bain, on se sent comme à la maison, la cuisine est accessible si besoin. Nous n'avons pas eu le temps de visiter la ferme mais avons adoré les moutons qui pâturent vers le parking, c'est très calme et sûrement génial avec des enfants. Nous avons laissé la voiture à Straiton Park & ride (gratuit) pour aller en bus à Edimbourg, très pratique et vous êtes du bon côté pour visiter Rosslyn Chapel et les borders.

Merci pour ce séjour tout était irréprochable, acceuil , propreté, petit déjeuner. Nous avons passé un super séjour chez vous.

Une chambre très spacieuse et confortable. Arrivée facile. Nous n'avons pas eu le temps de visiter la ferme et de profiter pleinement des lieux, ce que nous regrettons bien.

Le matelas du grand lit était creusé d'un côté et penchait vers l'extérieur.

La camera era immensa rispetto alle camere standard in cui abbiamo soggiornato per una settimana. Con letti grandi e comodi. Location splendida in mezzo alla campagna scozzese. Mio figlio felicissimo di poter giocare con i cani e vedere tutti gli animali della grande fattoria. Con il parcheggio collegato al tram si arriva a Edimburgo in circa 1 ora. Ottima e abbondante colazione con tantissime scelte.

Peggyslea Farm was perfect location, away from the busyness of Edinburgh but close enough to go in for the day. The rooms were big and comfortable, breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Added bonus was the wonderful menagerie of animals.

Liked everything, an iron and ironing board we could have used in our room would have been good (I was offered to use the premises laundry), a small fridge in the room would be nice to have.

Excellent location. Ideal stopover on a long journey from the Highlands of Scotland to England.

We had a wonderful stay at Peggyslea Farm! The hospitality was exceptional and the hosts made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit platters, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and traditional haggis. The farm is beautiful and peaceful, with lovely animals – we especially enjoyed petting the horses. Edinburgh is also very easy to reach. Highly recommended!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und können dieses B&B von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Die Unterkunft war sehr gemütlich, sauber und die Mitarbeiter waren ausgesprochen freundlich und herzlich. Ein absolutes Highlight waren die Tiere auf dem Hof. Besonders die beeindruckenden Clydesdale Horses haben uns begeistert. Es war etwas ganz Besonderes, dass man sich frei auf dem Gelände bewegen und die Tiere in aller Ruhe erleben durfte – das hat unserem Aufenthalt eine einzigartige Atmosphäre verliehen. Die Lage ist ebenfalls hervorragend. Das B&B ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Edinburgh und in die wunderschöne Umgebung. Wer die Kombination aus herzlicher Gastfreundschaft, ländlicher Idylle und einer perfekten Lage sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

The location was perfect for us, we were attending a wedding at Newhall. The staff were lovely and helped with a last minute laundry issue before the wedding. Breakfast was great and we really enjoyed visiting the animals.

Quand on arrive, nous avons le plaisir de découvrir des enclos à moutons, vaches, chevaux parfaitement entretenus. L’établissement est au calme, est propre et les chambres également, c’est tellement agréable. La literie est impeccable et le petit dejeuner est parfait!! J’ai particulièrement aimé manger des fruits frais.

A lovely stay just outside Edinburgh. Spacious rooms as shown in the pictures. The host family were so kind and our young daughter loved seeing the farm animals. We wouldn’t hesitate to come stay here again.

Tolle liebenswerte Hunde😃, Clydesdale Pferde riesig und sehr freundlich 😃 , Alpakas, Esel, Schafe, Highland Rinder, Schweine, Ziegen und auch Hühner. Impeccable Farm filled with all types of animals. Even Highland Cows and Clydesdales with white Foal. Our room was adorable. Very clean and cozy with a beautiful view. The owners were very hospitable. Even gave a a ride in to town to catch a bus.

Die Farm ist auf jeden Fall Hundefreundlich. Das Problem war, dass es Gäste gab, die ihre zwei große Hunde freilaufen gelassen haben. Und es war für uns war es vorab nicht klar, dass es ok sein soll weil nicht alle sich komfortabel fühlen wenn Hunde ohne Besitzer im Hotel und auch beim Frühstück rumlaufen. Das Personal haben wir nicht wirklich gesehen, am ersten Tag war niemand da. Was auch soweit ok war, da alles gut vorab organisiert wurde.

Everything! Really lovely farm in a beautiful setting, where we explored and saw the animals. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom with a good shower (and bath which we didn’t use this time). Breakfast was delicious - so much choice and made the stay excellent value for money. The hosts were lovely and you could tell all guests were enjoying their stay. Plenty of places to explore in the local area. Will definitely be back.

The house and gardens were gorgeous. Large bedrooms and bathrooms, everywhere immaculate and very comfortable. Delicious home cooked breakfasts. Hosts very warm and welcomimg. Highly recommended and very well priced.

Our full experience here was amazing. Our room was so comfortable and big for the 3 of us. Was so homely and personal. Breakie was fantastic, they even made my sons and tubbed it up as he was too tired to go for breakie. The animals were great. My son loved it.

Excellent rural location for a drive into Edinburgh and along with a working equestrian/farm environment, an incredible power shower and really lovely hosts, Peggyslea was a pleasure to stay at.

Farm setting was a wonderful change from Edinburgh proper and the facilities top notch!

Annette and her daughter Alisa were so gracious and accommodating. The peacefulness of the farm has to be experienced. We loved the boxers and Tweed, the frisbee catching border Collie. Food was delicious 😋 The proximity to the Pentlands made a picturesque backdrop looking out the bedroom window.

The breakfast was delicious and we loved the life around the property. Felt like a home away from home and made us wish we could stay longer. The Horses and other animals were wonderful and they told us about a cool little trail to explore near by that had a super nice waterfall. Easy distance from Edinburgh. Room was clean and loved that there was tub in the bathroom. Just wonderful experience.

Eine in jeglicher Hinsicht außergewöhnliche Unterkunft auf einer in den Pentlands gelegenen Farm südlich von Edinburgh. Schon bei Ankunft wird man von den hofeigenen fünf Hunden begrüßt und zum Spielen aufgefordert. Der Check-in war unproblematisch, die Tür zum Gästebereich war immer offen und am Eingang stand auf einer Tafel, welches Zimmer welcher Gast bekommt. Die Zimmer selbst sind sehr geräumig und haben große Fenster. Die Bäder verfügen über Dusche und Badewanne. Am Vorabend konnte man auswählen, welches Frühstück man gerne hätte (Pancakes, Porridge oder fully cooked scottish breakfast mit Haggis und Bloodpudding). Zusätzlich gab es ein kleines Buffett mit Toast, Cerealien, Honig, Marmelade, Kaffee, Tee und Saft. Auf der Farm gibt es Tiere aller Art, allen voran die "riesigen" Clydesdales-Pferde, Highland-Rinder, Schafe, Ziegen, Schweine, Hühner, Esel und Lamas - und alle durften "besucht" werden und freuten sich über die Aufmerksamkeit. Ein Paradies für Tiefreunde! Die Gastgeberfamilie war sehr lieb, freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir durften unser mitgebrachtes Essen im Frühstücksraum verzehren und Besteck und Geschirr aus der Küche benutzen.

Wer ein Problem mit freilaufenden Hunden und deren "Hinterlassenschaften" auf der Wiese vor dem Haus hat, sollte keine Unterkunft auf dieser Farm buchen (für uns war es kein Problem).

It was a great experience staying here. Not only were the people lovely, but the setting and location were fabulous. Good breakfast, great room. I will definitely stay again. Parking was important in this trip - it was excellent.

I’m not really a dog person, the owners dogs were a bit of a surprise, but they were all quiet and friendly. It is a working farm so dogs are to be expected - it wouldn’t stop me staying again.

Super Unterkunft für Tierliebhaber in einer wundevollen Gegend. Man ist in 30 min. in der Hauptstadt. Hier gibt es alle möglichen Farmtiere, nettes Personal und geräumige Zimmer. Das Frühstück ist mit Liebe zubereitet. Man kann vor der Türe parken. Toll👍👍Hope the horse-competition was successful!

We Had a wonderful stay. The rooms was very spacious and nice decorated. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared. It's also a great farm with lots of friendly and curious animals that love to be petted.

Ganz viele Tiere, die man füttern darf. Von Schafen über Ziegen, Alpacas, Schweine, Hühner bis hin zu Hochlandrindern, Hunden. Wirklich toll in der Natur gelegen. Schön leise für guten Schlaf. Geräumige Zimmer, nette Gastgeber. Aber natürlich weit außerhalb von Edinburgh. Am besten mit dem Auto dann zum Park and Ride in Straiton fahren und dann mit dem Bus in die Innenstadt weiter.

Annett is a great host along with her daughter Ailsa. The farm is beautiful and perfect relaxation place for family.

The entry was easy and well organised even without a front desk. Everything went smoothly. The panoramic views through the room window give you a feeling that you are in a heaven ❤️. The facilities were good enough to accommodate 3 adults. The morning breakfast was delicious and appreciated to fulfill the clients requirements. Many thanks to the lady who immediately responded to the toilet door issue and provided an immediate temporary solution until the issue was completely solved. The Wi-fi was very good and strong. The clients were very happy to enjoy and spend time with the pets around the Farm. The place is highly recommended for relaxation and peace of mind, to be in a quiet place away from the city and crowds..

Es war rundum perfekt. Eine liebevoll Familienbetriebene Farm inmitten der Pentland Hills. Die Zimmer sind groß, sauber, schön eingerichtet und duften nach frischer Wäsche. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und wird frisch nach Wünschen zubereitet. Das Gelände ist sehr weitläufig, mit sehr vielen Tieren, die man alle streicheln darf. Die Unterkunft ist sehr hundefreundlich. Allgemein sind alle einfach super freundlich und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und haben es sehr genossen.

Ruime familiekamer met alle benodigde faciliteiten. Iedereen op de boerderij is heel gastvrij, inclusief de honden en de schapen :-). Fijne locatie als je een dagje naar Edinburgh wilt. P+R Ingliston ligt op een half uurtje rijden, gratis parkeren en dan met de tram naar centrum Edinburgh. In de dorpjes in de omgeving leuke restaurants.

Perfekte Lage für einen Ausflug nach Edinburgh, sauber, idyllisch, wunderbare Tiere auf dem Bauernhof, die Gehege sind sehr schön beschrieben, ein Ort, der zu Spaziergängen einlädt. Sehr gutes Frühstück, aber am wichtigsten: die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Gastgeber. Unsere Kinder wollten dort am liebsten eine ganze Woche verbringen, und wenn sich die Gelegenheit ergibt, kommen wir sehr gerne wieder.

We stayed in the family room which was exceptional by family room standards. It was large, airy and the bathroom was lovely with separate bath and shower. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were super friendly and is a great place to take kids.

You will struggle to get an uber, but plenty of local taxi firms.

Not knowing a lot about local geography, I thought we'd be in the middle of nowhere (not a problem, anyway) but although there were all the benefits of a rural location (very peaceful, beautiful setting and scenery) there were pleasant towns a few minutes drive in both directions. Using P&R to get to Edinburgh for the day was also easy. Peggyslea Farm itself was wonderful. Our room was clearly signposted to us (we arrived in the evening) and was spacious and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds, and an excellent shower in the bathroom. Tea and coffee and kettle in room, were easily able to get fresh milk for drinks from the kitchen. Useful local info pack in room and no bother with WiFi. The family running the B&B were so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was generous and filling. Couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Meeting all the many animals was a great experience, particularly the friendly dogs and the lambs (as we visited in Spring). Would recommend to anyone. It's all on one level too, so no tricky stairs to navigate!

Het voelde als thuiskomen, wat een plek! Erg ruime kamers in een prachtige omgeving. Alles klopte: van het ontbijt tot de enorm lieve gastvrouwen, de dieren en de omgeving. We voelden ons hier erg thuis en hebben van elk moment genoten. Dankjewel aan de hosts en graag tot ziens in Grobbendonk ;-)

The location, the room, the views, the staff, what is not to like, this really felt like a unique experience, I have stayed many places but this is up there with the very best. The host was so lovely, just that alone makes such a difference, I hope to return one day. I loved seeing the animals too. The breakfast was a 10. What an incredible host. Made us feel so welcome and couldn't do enough.

Breakdast was great and good selection for all staff went over and beyond to accommodate my party of people.
