AMOUR AT TURTLE BEACH

Leuke grote kamer en leuk balkon om te zitten en te eten. Don en zn moeder maken heerlijk eten, wat goed uitkwam want omdat het laagseizoen was, was bijna alles gesloten. We zijn naar turtle Beach gebracht en naar een Bird Safari. Het is triest dat de mensen in Sri Lanka zo de dupe zijn van de situatie in het Midden Oosten.

Die kussens op de stoelen op het balkon op de foto heb ik gemist!

We felt right at home. Don is incredibly hospitable and helped us find a place to load our tuk-tuk! The room was very spacious, and we slept great. Breakfast was delicious, too. We highly recommend Amour at Turtle Beach!

We really enjoyed the peaceful location of Amour at Turtle Beach. It is a great place for someone looking to escape the crowds and relax in a quiet, natural environment. The owner was very kind, welcoming and helpful, and you can really see that he puts a lot of effort into making guests feel comfortable.

The only thing that needs improvement is the shower — the shower fixture was broken and kept coming loose, which made it difficult to use comfortably. The Wi-Fi also didn’t always connect properly.

Une nuit c’était bien trop court! Un adorable endroit plein de calme et sérénité. Le personnel est aux petits soins. C’est simplement un coin de paradis, un vrai. Qu’il faut respecter 🙏🏼♥️ Et en plus il est proche des tortues qui sont préservées dans un endroit naturel. Un spectacle si touchant 🥹 Et le petit déjeuner est très bon!

The breakfast was fantastic and the woman who cooked it very clever. It is a short walk to the beach where we wanted to see turtles laying at night which we did. Local environmental turtle centre ethical and wonderful. The host was a very kind man. There was no sea or lagoon view as per booking.com report but it was a very nice outlook. Really good value for money. We were in the off season and with the middle east war all bookings were cancelled so the whole village was closed which was sad for the locals. We still had a lovely time. Tuk tuked to Tangelle easy 25 minute ride.

The facilities list on booking.com was inaccurate. No minimarket, restaurant, activities etc. There are two lovely large rooms available and nice decks that look across to trees on another property. That's it. No front desk or services at all. We thought we were coming to a resort with a restaurant and services. This is a lovely 2 bed B&B. The rooms were great the host was great and this place is worth it. However, the 4 circle rating on line and list of facilities is more than ambitious. It says there is a barber, carpet, minimarket etc etc. It's nonsense. The info needs to be accurate. ironically although we were disappointed at first, the host is great, breakfast yum and it was brilliant value for money regardless.

The perfect location for going to the Rikawa turtle beach. The room is well appointed and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend!

Die Unterkunft ist groß, sauber und nur 5 Minuten vom Turtle Beach entfernt. Wer dem Rummel in Tangalle entkommen und sich auf den wunderschönen Strand und die dörfliche Gemeinschaft am Turtle Beach einlassen möchte, ist in Dons Unterkunft genau richtig. Der Host hat sich um alle unsere Wünsche und Probleme, einschließlich eines Zahnarzttermins, gekümmert und uns sogar weiter nach Ella gefahren. Seine herzliche Art macht die Unterkunft zu etwas ganz besonders Heimelichen. Die Menschen im Dorf sind alle sehr sehr herzlich und haben uns zum buddhistischen Neujahr zu ihrer Feier eingeladen.

L'établissement est très bien situé proche de la plage des tortues, Don est venu nous chercher de notre hôtel précédent au prix local (pickmeup) et nous a déposé à la gare à la find e notre séjour, il est très gentil et nous a donné de super conseils, le petit déjeuner était très bien. Merci

It is an amazing, peaceful place located between the lagoon and the beach. In the evening you can see baby turtles at the beach, if you are lucky enough. The host Don is super kind and helpful, the breakfast was really tasty. The room offers hot water, a fridge, a water kettle and the most comfortable pillows i had in 3 months of travelling! I would love to come back and stay for a longer time, thank you so much!

Wir haben 3 Nächte in der Unterkunft verbracht und hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Es ist nicht viel los, was mit den Stränden in der Nähe echt super war. Ein paar Restaurants usw gibt es, wir haben uns aber in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Unterkunft einen Roller gemietet, sodass wir flexibel waren. Die Ausstattung ist gut (mit ganz neuer Klimaanlage) und die Hosts sind super nett. Das Frühstück wurde jeden Morgen frisch gemacht und war sehr lecker!

The location only a few minutes walking to "turtle beach" was perfect, our host took us personally to see them, he has been very helpful. It is very nice to have breakfast on your terrace with the squirrels and peacocks than visit the garden every.mornimg

Don is a wonderful host who went above and beyond in making my stay fantastic! The room has a strong and warm (!!!) water pressure and lots of space. Excellent location near the turtle beach and restaurats. And the home cooked breakfast was sooooo good!

Nous avons passé un super séjour au calme dans ce logement très spacieux et très agréable. Petit déjeuner très bon, emplacement parfait juste à côté de la plage et de la nature, et lieu de ponte de tortues à deux pas. Notre hôte était très disponible et nous a bien conseillés. Je recommande !

Don was so hospitable and welcoming; when we arrived he showed us around the area and the following day walked us to a local, secluded beach where we swam with and fed turtles (this was the highlight of my trip!). We ate at Amour on both nights during our stay - it was by far the best food we ate during our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. Overall, Don’s hospitality, knowledge of the local area and cooking were fantastic. We will always remember this stay. Thank you Don.

We liked everything. For us, it was the best location in our 3 week holidays. It is such a shame we had planned to move on. The location is gorgeous. The people are incredibly nice without overdoing it. Birds, squirrels - if you like it all natural, idyllic and quiet, perfect place. Breakfast really good.

Besonders hervorheben muss man die wahnsinnig tolle Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft von Don. Er begleitete uns zu allen Spots und hat uns gute Informationen gegeben. Außerdem ist das Frühstück und auch das Abendessen wirklich ausgezeichnet gewesen. Wir konnten sehr gut schlafen und können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, es ist aber alles vorhanden was man braucht und die Klima funktioniert ausgesprochen gut.

Es war alles sauber und die Gastgeber sehr zuvorkommend. Die Gastgeber haben selber gekocht. Es war glaube ich das beste Essen was ich bisher hatte in Sri Lanka. Immer wieder gerne.

Don vermietet nur 2 schöne und große Gästezimmer und somit hat der Ort etwas familiäres. Von der Terrasse aus blickt man auf die Lagune. Alles ist sehr naturnah, viele Vogelstimmen rundum, Eichhörnchen kommen an den Tisch und ein stolzer Pfau wohnt scheinbar um die Ecke. Don ist ein sehr freundlicher und beflissener Gastgeber. Er hat mir den Weg zu zwei verschiedenen Stränden gezeigt und extra für mich eingekauft und gekocht. Das kann er sehr gut. Klare Empfehlung!

Тихое, спокойное место, нам очень понравилось. Хозяин и персонал отлично нас встретили. Помогали в любых вопросах: обмен валюты, организовать машину. Хозяин Дон отличнный повар и можно заказать ужин на месте с учетом ваших пожеланий. Были созданы все условия для комфортного отдыха. Организовал переезд из отеля в Коломбо и по дороге устроил дополнительную экскурсию с достопримечательностями в Коломбо показав много интересных мест. Узнав что мы в живую не видели слона специально свернул с маршрута чтобы показать их. Рекомендуем этот отель, особенно тем путешественникам которые любят тишину и покой вдалеке от городской суэты.

Все понравилось. Надеемся еще раз вернутся.

J'ai passé un excellent séjour. Don, le gérant, était au petit soin pour me faciliter transports et sorties. La chambre était très propre, climatisation et la literie nickel. Je recommande cet endroit pour un séjour dans les environs 😍👌

We only have good words to say about Don’s place. Even though it was off season, Don both spent lots of time making us feel at home in Rekawa. We really appreciated the breakfast and being shown Sri Lankan cuisine! The cooking was excellent. It was very peaceful and homely, and although we didn’t take him up on the offer, we are glad he also provided day trip options. The room was clean and tidy, and we loved the balcony to watch the animals. If someone we knew were planning a trip near Rekawa we would both recommend Don’s place and his kindness wholeheartedly.

Ubytování bylo čisté a pohodlné. Je zde možnost mít i výbornou večeři dle Vašich přání. Hostitel byl ve všem naprosto nápomocný. Zařídil nám zážitky jako například krmení želvy ve volné přírodě, přesuny po Srí Lance, safari a další. Poloha ubytování je výjimečná, blízko pláže i jezera. 👍

Die Unterkunft hatte alles was man braucht, sehr sauber, großes Zimmer und davor einen Bereich zum sitzen. Der Besitzer hat das Herz am richtigen Fleck und hilft einem bei allem was man braucht. Abends konnte man auch einfach in der Unterkunft etwas essen, was wirklich auch sehr lecker war. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls lecker. Würden auf jeden Fall wieder dort übernachten, wenn wir in der Gegend sind.

We had a great time here and really enjoyed the four days. Don took fantastic care of us and cooked delicious meals for us in the evenings. He is an excellent cook and bought fresh fish and scampi especially for us. The breakfast was also excellent and plentiful. You can also ask Don if you want to go on excursions in the area or need a driver. He is very helpful and has good ideas for daytrips. We went on two trips with Don (one for the whole day and one for a few hours) and it was great. The price he charged for the trips and his waiting time was also very fair. The house is located right between the lagoon and the huge, beautiful Rekawa Beach, where you can also take part in guided sea turtle tours. During the day, access to the beach is free, but in the evening (from 7 p.m.) you can only go to the beach with a guide. During the day, we took long walks on the very clean beach (it's a nature reserve) which is not suitable for swimming (waves are too high). There are also a few beach bars along the beach and a couple of restaurants in the vicinity. In the evening (after Don's delicious dinner), we loved sitting on the huge balcony outside our room.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of construction going on in this area right now (the appetite for tourists is growing everywhere in Sri Lanka), and there is an unfinished concrete ruin right next to this house. You can't see that in the photos. We were a little shocked at first, but luckily we didn't notice the construction site much. The bathroom facilities in our room were unfortunately somewhat inadequate. To get to the toilet and sink, you have to walk through the antechamber where the shower is located. This means you constantly have wet feet. In addition, the water pressure (we were in the upper apartment) was very weak. It was just enough for showering.

Il proprietario è stato estremamente gentile e disponibile e ci ha dato diverse informazioni sulle attrazioni vicine, anche quelle non immediatamente accessibili ai turisti. Inoltre Don ci ha accompagnato nei due giorni successivi a Galle e a Colombo, facendoci da driver e da guida, realizzando un percorso su misura sulla base delle nostre esigenze e portandoci nei principali luoghi di interesse.

Soggiorno magico! Camere ristrutturate e molto spaziose, bagno comodo. Tutto molto pulito. Il proprietario è estremamente gentile. Mi ha portato a piedi in spiaggia per spiegarmi i punti i cui potessi fare il bagno e mostrarmi la zona. Mi ha dato una mano con le escursioni e si è reso disponibile per portarmici lui stesso con la sua auto. La colazione inclusa è favolosa, ti sembra di stare in paradiso con davanti il giardino magnifico immerso nella natura. La cena è un plus molto buono e comodo. Vicinissimo alla spiaggia dove le tartarughe depongono le uovaIl soggiorno è stato magnifico e il cibo pure, da provare!

An Unforgettable Stay – Absolutely Recommended! Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay special — he welcomed us warmly, explained all the wonderful things we could do in the area, told us exactly where to see the turtles, and even personally accompanied us to the natural pools where we could swim. He prepared a delicious dinner for us (truly one of the best meals we had during our trip) and brought breakfast to us every morning with a big smile. His kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel not just like guests, but like friends. He is truly one of the most warm-hearted people we met during our entire trip, and staying here is worth it for his kindness alone. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and one magical morning we even saw monkeys playing on our balcony — such a beautiful surprise! The area itself is stunning, so much so that we decided to stay for two more nights just to enjoy it a little longer. If you want a stay where you feel truly taken care of, with a host who makes every effort to ensure you have the best possible experience, this is the place to be. We left with full hearts and amazing memories. Highly, highly recommended!

A great space with super air con and friendly host

Don möchte es seinen Gäste wirklich schön machen und kennt sich gut mit allen touristischen Zielen aus. Mit seiner überaus höflichen und hilfsbereiten Art ist es besonders für Alleinreisende sehr angenehm, so nett empfangen und umsorgt zu werden. Er hat mit mir zusammen sogar einen Beautysalon ausgesucht. Die Lage ist ideal zwischen Lagune, in der ich beim Paddeln zwei riesige Warane gesehen habe und dem Strand mit seinen Schildkröten und einem Naturpool.Super Frühstück!

Beautiful setting a few minutes walk from one of many local lagoons with diverse bird life. It is only 2 rooms, one downstairs and one upstairs, so it's great for a calm and private experience. That said Don and Mala were very responsive and helpful. They even let us use the kitchen at the back of the property to cook prawns bought at Tangalle fish market. Very clean and comfortable stay. Thank you!

A true paradise – highly recommended even off-season! We had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. The place is absolutely stunning and full of nature! We saw monkeys, cute little squirrels, and even turtles right on the beach. Even though it wasn’t high season, we found the location to be perfect – peaceful, authentic, and full of charm. We have a wonderful stay there. Quiet place, nice breakfast and comfy room with good hot water shower (which is not easy to have in most of places we stayed in Sri Lanka). It only takes 3-5 mins to walk to the stunning beach. We even had amazing turtle watch seeing turtle laying eggs at evening.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff was amazing and made us feel very welcome. One of the highlights was going to the beach at 5 p.m. and witnessing baby turtles making their way to the ocean – such a magical moment. Later that night, just a 3-minute walk from the resort, we saw a turtle laying her eggs, which was incredibly special. 😍🙏🏼 The breakfast was delicious, our room was very clean, and thanks to the good air conditioning, it always felt perfectly fresh. The host also recommended a local spot for dinner, and we had the best curry just around the corner. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! ❤️

I was so lucky having chosen Amour at Turtle Beach for my stay - what a gem of the place! Superb location in a quiet Rekawa village, surrounded by lush greenery, few minutes walk to a stunning beach where green turtles come to nest. The room is very clean, modern, spacious and well furnished, with a very comfortable bed and a large balcony where sumptuous breakfast is served every morning. Aircon is quiet and efficient, it cools the room in minutes. But the best part is the hospitality of the owner, Don. He is not only an exceptional host, but also a great chef (I ate all my meals at the hotel as restaurants nearby were closed due to the end of the season) and a tour guide too (we did a couple of very interesting tours looking at local sights and attractions). He even brought me back to Colombo at the end of my stay. I had a truly unforgettable time at Amour, and I highly recommend it to everyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

We loved our stay at Amour. This is a quiet place on the south coast near the Rekawa Turtle Sanctuary. Lovely house close to bush, lagoon and turtle beach. Great breakfast. Don is an amazing host who offers information about the area and will also drive you to destinations. Very thoughtful person. Highlights were the Turtle watch, safe rock pool to swim and the ancient Buddhist Mulkirigala Rock Temple. Amazing! Thank you Don and Kanthi.

Amour Turtle Beach is incredible. Perfect location to visit the stunning beach and see baby turtles hatching, lots of great restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, spacious, modern + spotless room, delicious breakfast on a beautiful balcony. The host Don was so kind, making sure we had everything we needed, helping us find taxis and generally going out of his way to ensure we had a great time. (He also drove us to our next location - very comfortable car, highly recommend!) His tip to head to the beach at 5pm probably meant we saw 200+ more baby turtles than we would have done otherwise! We originally booked for 3 nights but extended as we were enjoying the location and Amour so much. Book it, you won’t regret it!! :)

This is a perfect 10. We were late but the dinner was ready, a wonderfall crab combo and a beer and just time to finish and go to sea the turtles needing and the babies birth. The beach is just a few meters from the hotel. The breakfast was also marvellous and and Don offered us his service to drive to our next place in this wonderful Sri Lanka. Do not hesitate to go there and see the turtles and much more. The best welcome ever !

Everything was perfect, the hotel is really close from the beach where you can see baby turtles come out their nest to go to the ocean. Don is really helpful and was always there for me, I booked a motor bike with him, did my laundry, had diner at the hotel, and he organised my day trip to Yala national park and then Ella with some stops on the road. I’d come back for sure.

We had a wonderful stay at Amour at Turtle Beach! The host was incredibly welcoming, greeting us late in the evening and ensuring we had a delicious dinner. He also provided us with helpful information about the possibility of seeing turtles on the beach, which was such a special touch. The cottage itself was cozy and perfect for a relaxing stay. In the morning, the host made us the most amazing breakfast, which was the perfect start to the day. We truly enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it!

You should definetly stay here and take minimum 2 nights! It is a lovely house with two rooms, one with a terrace and one with a beautiful balcony where we stayed. The room is very spacious and cosy. The breakfast was very tasty and served on the balcony which was really nice. Most importantly I can only confirm other reviews regarding the host Don- he is exceptional! We only stayed one night (wanted to stay longer but was fully booked) and he helped us with so many things regarding our trip! Talk to him and follow his advices!!! Definitely visit the bird sanctuary close by it’s really worth it. He then took us to our next place Haputale including a visit to a national park and waterfall- the transfer to pick me rates! And he does everything with a smile. Thanks Don, it was really a pleasure and we hope to be back 🙏

Wonderful cozy stay near Rekawa beach, mainly stayed a night to see the turtles. The host was amazing and really helpful, hospitable and responsive. He made me feel very welcomed and was very attentive. Lodging was also comfortable and clean. I highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The location was perfect for turtle watching, just a short walk from the beach. Our daughter loved the front yard, and the outdoor shower was a great. The Sri Lankan breakfast was absolutely delicious—one of the best we’ve had! But what made our stay truly special was Ruchira, the host. He went above and beyond to organize our turtle-watching experience, as well as safaris in Udawalawe and Yala. His recommendations on things to do in the area were spot on! Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area. We’d love to come back!

Host called me and texted me via WhatsApp after I gave a rating and asked me to increase it which is a bit of an invasion of my privacy (I didn't change it but to add some more detail to my review: The room is nice and spacious and the location is good. Breakfast was fine too. The bathroom was a bit filthy and there was a cockroach in our room. Host offered to drive us to the bus stop and then had us wait for more than 30 minutes. It's a good accommodation that I would recommend still but some things that spoiled the experience which is why I didn't give more than 7).

Our favourite property & location of our Sri Lanka tour so far. We stayed in the upstairs apartment which was very spacious with large comfortable bed, lovely high ceiling, air conditioning and large balcony area. The breakfast, served on our balcony, was a lovely touch. The beach is stunning and so quiet with little cafes with sun loungers tucked well back and dotted along it. The highlight was our evening ‘Turtle Watch’ experience on the beach…in an ethically controlled environment seeing a green turtle laying her eggs, covering them, and heading back into the sea was a memory that will stay with us forever. Thankyou Don for being such a great host, we highly recommend your property.

Thank you for the beautiful house! There are many different beautiful animals and birds around. The house was clean, the shower worked well, the breakfast was very tasty. Very good location, near a beautiful beach, where there are not many people, quiet and peaceful. The owner of the house will always be remembered as a very nice man, he took us everywhere we needed and helped us with everything. He tried very hard to make everything good. He was happy to tell interesting facts about Sri Lanka and answered all the questions. We also took advantage of the tour he offered which was excellent! A truly great person!

The room was very nice and Don was very friendly. He dropped us off and picked us up in weligama. He also gave the honest advice not to go the the Safari in Yala which we intended to go to due to large crowds, which was very appreciated by us.

For our purposes, the location was a bit off, but it’s close to some nice places and some good restaurants. So it depends a lot on what you want to do.

The location was beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife whilst having breakfast on the balcony each morning. The owner and the lady were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you very much for making our stay so wonderful and memorable.

Mr Don the owner is a very good person. He was very interested to make our stay great. He was always online since I did the booking and till the end. Helped a lot with all our request. Despite the facility is very simple, this money definitely worth that we got. Great location, a nice wild beach nearby, many place to go to eat. I like the place.

Spacious clean rooms with wonderful Sri Lankan breakfast every morning. The best part is the host, Don, who will help you with all logistics and help make your stay great. I just text Don, when I needed something or had questions. Don drove me and another guest to beautiful diyaluma waterfalls, arranged a canoe for birdwatching on kalametiya bird sanctuary, took care of all transports in town/to Yala using pickme rates, took care of our laundry, even called me when there r nesting turtles on the beach. I saw nesting and baby turtles. His guesthouse is close to restaurants, turtle beach and the lagoon. When my husband needed to see a doctor, he arranged a tuk tuk to take us in town and wait for us. It was perfect for us and we highly recommend Amours.

Clean! A really nice and quiet place. Good value!! Breakfast is good! The host, Don, would go above and beyond to help. This place is definitely one of my favorites places to stay in Sri Lanka!!

The property was very close to the Turtle sanctuary. Very convenient to watch the turtles lay their eggs at night and then in 5 min by foot to be back in your room. The property is nicely arranged and the owner offered his services to take us by car to our next destination stopping on the way to show us a few other places.

it was such a lovely stay, the area is so relaxed and calm. and the host is so so friendly and caring and the maid is so kind. It felt like home! you will have a great time there for sure!

Great place to stay near to a beautiful beach. The owner and his friend helped us with everything we needed. Was a pleasure to stay there.

Very clean and large room with double headed shower in a beautiful house. Just around the corner from the turtle sanctuary. Also the beach is the most stunning beach I have been to. Breakfast was very big and was fruit, yoghurt and Sri Lankan foods.

Very nice, clean and comfortable room. Beautiful breakfast on a private patio with view on the garden and the laguna. Very near from the turtle beach. Above all, the owner is very kind, friendly and helpful. Everything really perfect!

I liked the grass infront the room. I did yoga in the morning. The breakfast was good. It is a good location to go turtle watching.

You can see some sign of humidity in the room but still the room is ok, big with ac.

Amazing breakfast, very close to turtles for the evening turtle viewing . Host dropped us to the bus stop for our onward journey. They only have 2 rooms, good to support a small establishment.

Food offered was expensive so we ate in a local restaurant. Bathroom door was so low that we all hit our head on it! Please offer cold water and tea / coffee in the room with the kettle you have as the local shops are very limited.

Really liked this place. Nicely designed rooms with good natural ventilation. Lush garden. Clean pool. Prompt and attentive service. Expansive beach with no plastic garbage.

Amazing service! Don took us wherever we needed to, and helped with all the activities. Truly great hospitality. Property itself is very spacious, clean, and close to the turtle watching center.

Great location, less than 5 minutes to turtles and beach, several restaurants close by (or you can dine at Amour), quiet and peaceful. Friendly and helpful host (Don). Clean and spacious room. Kettle to boil water if you forget to bring enough. Terrific breakfast!

It would be nice to have one bottle of water but not a complaint, just a suggestion.

It was a very peaceful location with a lot of wildlife everywhere. The host was extremely helpful in suggesting places to try and helping me get to my next destination as well.

Everything. The place is beautiful, clean, peaceful,.... we had dinner and breakfast at the terrace, surrounded by trees, monkeys... The food Don cooked for was also amazing and tasting. Don was extremely kind with us and helped us get access to the turtles. It really went beyond my expectations.

This property is exceptional!! Highly recommended…super quiet area right next to the beach and lagoon, Don our host arranged for us to see turtles laying eggs on the beach just behind the property, unbelievable experience. Amazing breakfast as well probably one of our best stay in Sri Lanka…. Do not miss this property!!

This was an absolutely fantastic stay from all perspectives. We had a really great host, marvelous breakfast and we saw just from our Balcany a lot of different exotic animals, like the Hanuman Langur, Pea cocks, parrots, etc. extraordinary stay, very recommemded, nearby beach, all in all our best host so far. Thank you!

The property is very well maintained, and very clean. From our balcony we saw: monkeys & peacocks! The property Location is fantastic, I was initially a bit worried.. but you don’t want to stay in tangelle. You want to stay in amour turtle beach! The room is a 5 minute walk from the Beach, a selection of great restaurants & the national turtle sanctuary.. which at night you can see a mother nesting her eggs. The owner, Don was professional and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. He offers a menu, range of services including bike hire & safari tours at incredibly cheap prices! We enjoyed a authentic Sri Lankan meal overlooking the monkeys! We can both say this was our favourite accommodation: the owner was fantastic, it was a steal for the price (it could be double and we’d still come back!) and the property was very luxurious!
