The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room we eventually ended up with was wonderful, overlooking the infinity pool and ocean. It was a beautiful location to relax for a couple of days.

We booked a deluxe suite but on the first night we were gently steered towards a deluxe double room instead. It being late and us tired we didn't question it until the next day when we saw the difference in quality of the rooms. The manager immediately moved us on request but can't help wonder why he down graded us originally because the hotel was virtually empty. No biggy but this negative experience could have been easily avoided. The menu has very limited vegetarian options. What there is is very nice, but if you were there for a week or so you'd probably tire of the same 2 or 3 choices

Sehr tolle Aussicht und sauberes Zimmer. Sehr viele verschiedene Pflanzen- und Tierarten auf dem Hotelgelände. Bieten eine gute Auswahl an Essensmöglichkeiten an. Der Strand Richtung Tangalle war zu unserem Aufenthalt menschenleer, einfach ein wunderschöner und einzigartiger Strand! Sehr tolle Aussicht auf den Sonnenaufgang aus unserem Zimmer heraus.

Leider gab es auf dem Pizzabrett offensichtlich Schimmel auf den wir hingewiesen, jedoch keine Entschuldigung oder Entschädigung erhalten haben.

Beautiful property & very well maintained. Great pools & brilliant views & spacious rooms.

The location is not great, it’s at the end of a very long & extremely basic track that our driver found hard to navigate. There is absolutely no signage to the hotel & when we went out at night our taxi got very lost on the dark dirt tracks! It is also not on the beach, though there is a beautiful beach a 5-10 minute walk from hotel.

Exceptional for some one who appreciates freedom from hustle and bustle environment. Ideal get away to unwind when you’re on holiday. Very elegant architecture and spotlessly clean . Owner of the property Guyan is always onsite to ensure the hospitality offered to client goes to plan. You’re right in front of the Indian Ocean where pristine crystal clear water mass is always on your eye line. Unspoilt beach and it’s simply a paradise hidden away in the south of Sri Lanka. The restaurant staff were amazing. Chaturanga in particular with his experience and exposure into the industry made our stay very comfortable. Would like to mention Ravi too for his attentive service. Spa staff were credible and it certainly enhanced the value of the property.

L'hotel è molto bello e ha una terrazza ristorante con una vista stupenda sul mare. Anche la piscina è con vista e abbastanza ampia. Abbiamo cenato con piacere all'interno dell'hotel e la colazione è stata generosa. La camera, ampia e confortevole, ci ha molto soddisfatto con un bagno bellissimo ed un grande terrazzo, veramente stupendo.

L'accesso alla spiaggia è un po' difficoltoso, con ripidi gradini e sterrato per raggiungerla.

Camera splendida e pulitissima vista mare, molto spaziosa, con vasca in camera, bagno e doccia molto confortevoli. Piscina a sfioro meravigliosa e ristorante buonissimo! Spa Ayurvedica con operatori competenti.

Gewelidig verblijf, mooiste van onze reis. Wij zaten in een grote familiekamer in een relatief nieuw gebouw. Zeer modern en tot in de puntjes afgewerkt. Mooi uitzicht op een infinity pool en de zee. Bedden zijn heel comfortabel. Restaurant is ook erg goed, bediening is vriendelijk en van hoog niveau, voldoende keuze en ontbijt is heerlijk. Eggs benedict is een aanrader. Ook de Italian coffee is een van de beste die we in Sri Lanka gedronken hebben. Het resort is wat afgelegen van Tangalle, maar met de voorzieningen en geweldige service is het prima om ook een hele dag te relaxen. Ook de spa is goed bevallen. Deze plek is echt een aanrader.

We had an absolutely amazing 5-night stay at Ananthaya Beach and couldn’t recommend it highly enough! The accommodation was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They also organised everything for us, including transport, a safari and turtle-watching experience, which made our holiday so easy and stress-free. A beautiful resort, fantastic people and wonderful memories.

L hôtel est magnifique, il est au calme loin de l'agitation et des routes. La vue sur la mer est top. Très bon restaurant pour déjeuner et dîner.

L hotel est isolé, la plage en bas est un petit port de pêche avec les déchets des sardines préparées sur place et les odeurs qui vont avec. Les plages sont à 20 mn de l'hotel en tuk tuk.

We were blown away when we arrived, the views of the ocean from the infinity pool, the superb modern, spacious rooms and bathrooms were one of the best we stayed in during our travels in Sri Lanka. It's a perfect, serene spot to relax. We forgot something in our room and only realised at our next destination. I contacted the staff at Ananthaya and they did not hesitate to bring it over for us. I'm forever grateful for the beautiful gesture. Thank you so much!

Le calme parfait pour se reposer. Chambre très spacieuse et décoré avec goût. Le petit déjeuner est excellent surtout la spécialité sri lankaise. L'hôtel dispose également un établissement de soins pour le corps. Surtout le massage ayurvedique. Une vue a couper le souffle face à la mer.

L'hôtel est un peu excentré du centre ville. Route pour accéder a l'hôtel est pas du tout pratiquable. Le ménage est fait qu'à la demande du client. Les plats type pizza burger etc... ne sont pas maîtrisés.

Tout était super. Le personnel est le plus agréable que j’ai rencontré lors de mon voyage. Toujours le sourire. Les chambres sont spacieuses, le restaurant est top et il y a deux piscines.

This place is great for a short or a long getaway. The staff is very professional and well trained. The views are great and the free breakfast is superb too. The property is maintained well, very clean and tidy. Can't fault it. Loved the infinity pool as well as the spa facilities. You don't need to go anywhere at all, as they've thought of everything. The Italian style coffee s the cherry on the top.

Amazing hotel with incredible view! The staff were all very nice and they let us check out a bit later so we could have lunch here. The rooms and the pool were also very nice and very spatious! I would definitely recommend this place if you look for a relaxing time. The rooms were also good insulated, this was the first time we did not hear any outside noise.

Great location for the turtle conservation, clean, comfortable great food and staff. Very accommodating.

The only thing that was slightly annoying was safe, it kept locking our items in and we needed the master key to get our things out. Staff were quick to help us each time. At least we knew our items were secure. And this did not ruin our stay.

I travelled alone for quiet relaxation, and this property definitely met my expectations! The view from my room was wonderful and the staff were helpful and accommodating. The hotel was well maintained and clean, and the food was well-prepared and tasty. Thanks for a great stay.

Das hotel befindet nicht direkt am Strand. Der Zugang führt zu einer steinigen strand. Meine Freunde waren enteucht. Schade.

If we could rate it 11/10, we would! The place is stunning: (1) the staff were thoughtful and very kind they were so friendly and goes above and beyond (2) the pool has an amazing view and very instagrammable shots, (3) the massive rooms were of amazing quality: monstrous shower, amazing bed with a full sea view, fabulous bathtub as we’ve got upgraded as we came during low season (we pretty much had it to ourselves) and we loved it, (4) the location was perfect for us - away from the crowd/ the relaxation we were hoping for away from the busy Dubai life, (5) the breakfast was phenomenal! My husband loved the eggs Benedict and was having it everyday for 5 days whilst I’m enjoying the fruit platter either served in a plate or I’ve asked for it to be turned to fruit shakes! I can go on and on! It was truly an amazing holiday for us after what has been a stressful 2 months in the Middle East. It renewed us back and our body reset so well because of what Ananthaya Beach offers.

Location was a bit out of the way but easy to get a tuk tuk to the more well known beaches.

Great location, good restaurant with good wines and beers. Breakfast is super. The hotel is in a peaceful area, room are modern and spacious. There are 2 swimming pools. The staff is very kind and attentive. The owner is running well his Hotel, bravo. We’ll be back if we can.

Wir waren zwei Wochen unterwegs und wollten uns gegen Ende der Reise ein wenig Luxus gönnen. Das Hotel bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, die man sich dazu wünschen kann. Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders hat uns die herzliche Art der Mitarbeiter beim Frühstückservice gefallen. Es gibt zwei Pools mit Meerblick, fantastisches Essen und Ruhe. Wir würden jederzeit wieder herkommen.

Our stay at Ananthaya beach hotel was excellent. We were in the new built part of the hotel - spacious, comfortable, clean, tastefully decorated and felt quite luxurious! The view from balcony is incredible. The breakfast was good, with varied options and there’s an extensive menu for lunch and dinner which we had and were great, especially the seafood. There are other food options near the hotel - just a short tuktuk ride away, don’t be afraid to explore :) A special mention to the hotel staff, particularly at the restaurant who were very nice and always smiling as well as the spa who were super accommodating and excellent! The beach in front of the hotel is not really swimmable but walk to the left and you’ll reach a long stretch of deserted and sandy beach. There were strong waves so need to be careful, and limited shade, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The infinity pool at the hotel was great to come back to and relax after exploring the beach. Overall, I highly recommend staying here!

The sea currents are too strong for swimming. However, there’s a harbour in front of the hotel where you can swim but it’s more of a fishing harbour.

Pidin rauhasta ja kiireettönyydestä. Ihmiset niin paikalliset kalastajat kuin henkilökuntakin olivat kohteliaita, iloisia ja avuliaita. Pidin siitä että paikka oli kaukana kaikesta ja sai todella olla melkein tyhjässä hotellissa rauhassa. Pidin myös siitä että ympäristössä oli autentisuutta ja rosoa. Hyvä Happy Beach- baari lähellä🤗

Everything was perfect

L’hôtel était bien placé par rapport aux plages de Rekawa.

Hôtel qui a besoin d’un coût de rafraîchissement au niveau des chambre. Pour le prix des nuits, une prestation un peu plus élevée est de guise. (Exemple : pas de dentifrices de disponible, aucunes lessives s’utilisé pour le nettoyage des vêtements mis en Laundry).

Eine wunderschöne Hotelanlage. Wir hatten unser Zimmer im neuen Teil und es war super! Das Zimmer weitläufig, sauber, bequem, ein schönes neues Bad und ein wunderbaren Balkon mit Blick aufs Meer. Wir haben bedauert dass wir nur 2 Tage bebucht hatten. Hotel ist abgelegen aber dadurch sehr ruhig und für einen Entspannungsurlaub hervorragend.

Das Essen im Restaurant könnte noch ein bisschen abwechlungsreicher und landestypischer sein, aber das ist wirklich eine "Kritikpunkt" auf ganz hohem Niveau. Es könnte mit wenig Aufwand noch verbessert werden, auch von dem Aspekt, dass es in der Gegend recht wenig Essensalternativen gibt. Hotel ist abgelegen aber dadurch sehr ruhig.

Die Lage ist ein Traum, die Zimmer sind sehr schön und der Ausblick super. Das Personal ish unglaublich gut

Everything was wonderful — we stayed there with two children and had a great vacation. The staff was amazing: very, very helpful and polite. The view was beautiful, and there are two large swimming pools. The food was extremely delicious — really, really good. Overall, we are more than satisfied. While relaxing by the pool, peacocks would come by and lizards would walk around, which made the experience even more special. We will definitely come back!

The only downside is that there isn’t a proper beach. You need to go towards Tangalle, but it’s just about a 10-minute ride by tuk-tuk and you’re there.

Spectacular beach; awesome to see the beach from your bed. Bit of wildlife to see too, turtles peacocks, lizards squirrels and monkeys. Great pool, rooms are spacious and staff were excellent. Massage was amazing.

Ein engagiertes Team kümmert sich liebevoll um das Wohlergehen ihrer Gäste ; die Lage des Resorts ist hervorragend - der Blick auf den Ozean - sogar vom Bett aus - ist sensationell : und dann noch die außergewöhnlichen Anwendungen im Spa ! Wir kommen wieder !!

The resort itself is lovely. Decent food, a beautiful pool area with lots of space. They had good security as well. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Especially the restaurant staff and housekeeping.

I asked for a high floor room which I got, it was at the top with a wooden ceiling and all sorts of geckos were coming in and pooing on the bed and nightstand. Also the noise of all the birds on top of the roof at night kept me up. Do not take a top floor room imo. However I did complain and they moved me to a ground floor room which I preferred but then had the cheek to ask me to move back the next morning because they had other guests coming to which I refused. Also the private beach they mention is not private. And the sunbeds are so far from the water. With lots of fishing boats in the way. We still went in and it was nice but not what you think it will be.

This hotel is in a stunning setting just off the beach with huge, comfortable and very clean modern rooms. The pool is a delight to dip into and stare out to sea. The restaurant is lovely and the breakfasts are great. They were just fitting out a gym whilst we were there too. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Wir hatten ein super schönes und großes Zimmer mit Blick aufs Meer. Das Zimmer war neu und modern eingerichtet. Hier kann man ohne Probleme zur Ruhe kommen. Es ist zwar etwas außerhalb, aber mit dem TukTuk kommt man überall problemlos hin. Die Ortschaft selbst hat nicht viel zu bieten. Zum Strand dauert es ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß, leider sind die Wellen sehr hoch, sodass man dort nicht schwimmen sollte. Da die Unterkunft aber zwei Pools hat, ist dies kein Problem! ;)

Das Restaurant war etwas teuer und hätte etwas besser sein können. Aber es gibt um die Ecke ein paar sehr gute Strandbars. Sonst gibt es überhaupt nichts Negatives!

Piscina e zone comuni molto belle. La camera è un po spoglia, ma grande. Hotel molto pulito e ben tenuto. Le camere vengono pulite e sistemate su richiesta anche ogni giorno. Hanno anche una Spa e una palestra ben attrezzata. Il personale è molto attento e cordiale, sempre sorridente.

La strada di accesso dovrebbe essere sistemata, ma niente che rovini l'esperienza

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet und auch das Frühstück war lecker.

Es wird eine Schildkrötenbesichtigung beworben, die wirklich nicht zu empfehlen ist. Ca. 100 Leute rennen einer Schildkröte hinterher und die Tourguides waren total aufgescheucht und haben die Babyschildkröten immer wieder geblendet und auch angefasst.

This hotel is one of the best we stayed in whilst travelling around Sri Lanka. Staff are super friendly and helpful. If you want to see wildlife then we got to see many whilst sitting enjoying a drink.

Es war schön gestaltet und gemütlich, die Pools sind beide sehr schön.

Abends gab es sehr viele Fliegen beim Essen, kann die Unterkunft nichts für, aber nur zur Info falls das für jemanden relevant ist.

Alles war perfekt! So eine schöne Unterkunft an einem so wundervollen Ort! Ich komme wieder!
