Awana House

È un bellissimo posto per soggiornare, si trova in centro quindi con tutte le comodità vicino, il personale è delizioso e ben preparato ad aiutarti per qualsiasi cosa, le camere semrpe ben pulite, la piscina è il punto forse per concludere la gionata... noi abbiamo soggiornato 4 giorni per poi spostarci, ma poi ci siamo ritornati per una notte e le ragazze sono state super felici e accoglienti nel rivederci...

Une bulle de confort, de calme et de fraîcheur même en Plein festival de Songkran ! depuis les chambres, on entendait quasiment rien des clameurs de la ville, la piscine COUVERTE est un havre de fraîcheur, le personnel est adorable ! chalbres propres, belles, frigo, étendoir, télé, balcon, armoire.. tout le nécessaire ! Rooftop couvert immense, beau ! meubles, portes etc en bois, peintures murales superbes... bref, vraiment je réitère : une Bulle ! merci pour TOUT !

Le côté « typique » de la guesthouse , très bien situé tout en étant au calme. Le personnel toujours gentil, accueillant de bon conseil tout en discrétion et sourires.

This property is hidden in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Such a cute place and family owned. The breakfast was good. Great common areas with many books and board games. The staff were attentive, so helpful and kind. Awesome value for money. Our room was tight but we weren’t there to hang out in the room. The comfortable common areas made up for that. The pool was also well maintained and clean. Close to the markets and one is right next door once per week. It was a very nice stay and had great night convos with Yo-yo. Very chill place! Would absolutely go back! We extended our stay because of this. Internet was good and we loved that they had a free fillable water station. We had not seen this or have yet to see this in any other place we stayed. Small little details such as this helped make it feel homey and welcoming. Cool groovy place! Thank you for hosting us!

Ottima la posizione per visitare tutta la old town, ma anche per raggiungere con 15 minuti di passeggiata tutti i mercati sia diurni che notturni. Zona e struttura molto tranquille, ho sempre dormito molto bene senza necessità di tappi nelle orecchie. Molto curati tutti gli spazi comuni interni ed esterni e la pulizia generale.

Nella hall c'è un distributore di acqua calda, ma avrei gradito un bollitore per the e caffè in camera. Poltrona della camera decisamente da sostituire. Bisogna lasciare le scarpe nella rastrelliera della reception e salire nelle camere a piedi nudi, però mi hanno gentilmente concesso di utilizzare le mie ciabattine.

Location and how it is set back to give it a hidden feel even though you are right in the old quarter.

Taking off shoes in lobby and then walking barefoot up/down stairs and around hotel. It would be nice if you had indoor slippers.

Très bon compromis pour un premier séjour à Chiang Mai dans la vieille ville. On peut tout faire à pieds. Le personnel est très gentil. L'hôtel est calme. Malgré les points négatifs je choisirai à nouveau cet hôtel.

Attention, il n'y a pas d'ascenseur (grandes marches à monter), faites attention si vous êtes avec beaucoup de bagages ou avec enfants en bas âge. Le sol de la douche et celui des toilettes sont les mêmes, donc risque de glissade. Si vous êtes entre amis, faites attention la porte des wc/salle d'eau n'en est pas vraiment une (pas d'intimité). La piscine est a l'ombre et froide (cela reste très bien avec de hautes températures). L'hôtel devrait faire + attention à la propreté des housses qui entourent le matelas. Si vous voyagez avec des enfants en bas âges, les lits superposés sont pas très sécuritaires (matelas aussi haut que la barrière). Tout cela me semble important à savoir avant son séjour.

Dusche war nicht immer warm, aber das ist eine Kleinigkeit.

Le bruit des travaux pas loin, avec la bétonnière qui commence à 5h du mat. La deuxième chambre, il n'y avait pas de sommier au lit c'était un empilement de matelas, donc ça bougeait vachement dès qu'on faisait un mouvement. Chambre 402,

Het is een mooi en simpel verblijf met precies alles wat je nodig hebt! Ik vond het bed heel fijn. Je krijgt iedere dag twee flesjes water en hebt de mogelijkheid om je kamer schoon te laten maken. De locatie vond ik overigens fantastisch! Het bevindt zich in de oude stad en op zondag wanneer de Sundays Market is, start deze zowat naast de deur.

Tolle Lage in Seitenstraße, sehr ruhig. Räume etwas älter, aber gut ausgestattet und sauber. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Pool und Dachterrasse sind schön zum Verweilen, insbesondere für Familien. Auch die Speisen und Getränke im Awana House selbst sind zu empfehlen, jedoch gibt es in wenigen Gehminuten verschiedene Essensmöglichkeiten zur Auswahl.

Love everything about this hotel its my second time here and ill definitely be back again.

Man muss wissen dass das Hotel wirklich sehr hellhörig ist. Unser Bett hat bei normaler Bewegung geqietscht,es wurde schon von zwei Pfosten gestützt. Im Bad roch es nicht besonders gut.

Das Guesthouse hat internationale Gäste von überall auf der Welt. Besondere Einrichtung zum wohlfühlen.

Das erste Zimmer hatte am Balkon eine Vollgitterverkleidung (wg. der Tauben). Gefühlt wie im Gefängnis. Nach freundlich Anfrage am nächsten Tag Zimmerwechsel (ohne Aifpreis!) möglich.. Alles dann supi.

Stayed here twice - 2nd room was lovely, really clean, great quality bedding and a nice little balcony with a rack to dry any washing The staff were absolutely fantastic!!! We were able to leave our luggage free of charge for 5 days while we went up to Chiang Mai as we were returning to stay for a couple more days.

Stayed here twice - first room wasn’t great, bedding smelt awful and the balcony had wooden slats and wire fencing around it which made it more like a prison than a hotel.

super Lage im alten Kern von Chiang Mai. So gut wie alles fussläufig erreichbar. Hübsche Umgebung, Straße selber klein und ruhig, mit Pool, den wir aufgrund der vielen Unternehmungen zwar nicht genutzt haben, der aber sehr einladend aussah. Sehr gute Betten, sehr nettes Personal.

We had a fantastic month-long stay at Awana House! It was everything we needed — close to Market Street for easy access to great food and shops, yet far enough back to feel peaceful and away from the bustle. The staff were all wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The pool was a bit chilly during the winter season, but the setting was still perfect, and the beds were super comfortable. Overall, Awana House made our time in Chiang Mai truly enjoyable, and we’d happily stay here again on our next visit!

Das Zimmer war super sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer, deswegen viel Platz für unser Gepäck. Der Pool war gut gepflegt und angenehm kühl. Obwohl das Hotel in der Altstadt liegt, ist es ruhig gelegen. Gleich nebenan gab es günstig Getränke zu kaufen.

Die Dusche macht die Toilette nass, aber ein Abzieher war vorhanden, also kein wirklicher Kritikpunkt.

Awana House sits in the perfect spot for visiting Chiang Mai: you can go anywhere by walk and on sundays there’s this huge night market in the main road right behind the hotel

The only minor inconvenience I got was with the power outlets: no one of my charger will hold correctly and I needed to ask for a power strip…but the staff was super nice about it!

Very nice spot. Doesn't look like much from the outside. But very beautiful rooms and common areas. Comfortable, airy and shady. Great beds and lovely Thai design. Rooftop terrace is gorgeous. Shaded and breezy. The pool is excellent. It's constantly under shade so doesn't get any sun. This means it's really cold, which is exactly what I wanted after wandering around Chiang Mai in the sun. Perfect. Great location too - everything within strolling distance.

- Central location, excellent for Sunday market. - Even if limited in variety, the breakfast is good and cheap. - Cozy rooftop to use until 22:00. Nice artwork on walls.

- Cleaning standards very low, both in common and private areas. -Rooms are big but dated, many broken or malfunctioning things. - The receptionists, albeit very sweet, do not speak English very well and they are not helpful with recommendations. Example: they booked for us a half day tour with an open carrier, which was super uncomfortable and made us feel sick. The suggested zipline activity was a rip-off, having to pay 8800 baht (for 4 person) for an 1-hour activity. So we left, and ended up to the fantastic botanic garden further down the valley, where we paid 500 baht in total and had an amazing time in a breathtaking landscape. The next day we arranged by ourselves a very nice tour with a taxi driver (with a proper car) which costed less than their suggested driver for the same tour. -The most upsetting thing however was that we were asked to pay 800 baht for a blood stain on a bed sheet. They said they it wouldn't come off. We took it to the laundry just around the corner and they got it cleaned for 100 baht... Future guests should be aware of that since a bloodstain on a bed sheet is something quite common really! and a proper accomodation should know how to deal with this.

The pool was fun but on one day the balance just wasn’t right and our kids got a rash that needed to be treated with antihistamines.

A lovely place with a nice atmosphere in a good location. A cute small pool on the ground floor, and a nice rooftop hangout.

Location was great. Covered roof top patio was a great place to relax. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Nice family rooms with a set of bunk beds and a queen bed. AC and fans.

The stairs have a non slip trip on them that hurt your feet because you have to rake shoes off at the door. But nothing bad enough to really complain. We loved it there
