The location was perfect for seeing the penguins and also for visiting Simon's Town. The staff was great, hard working, friendly and honest. We loved our stay at the hotel. Their restaurant had a beautiful view to the sea and had good food and good service. The night was quiet and peaceful, the beds were comfortable and the small room was easy to keep in a comfortable temperature with the heating. It was nice to have a bath tub in the bathroom on a cold day.

I know that the accommodation is putting a focus on nature, with not having televisions. Which I kind of missed actually, especially if you're spending the night in or if there's a game playing. But mostly no aircon!

There's no TV in the room

The room/s had everything I/we needed, especially as a woman, a plug point close to a decent mirror to do my hair and face. Heater, Cooling Fan, Fridge, Hair Dryer, Small cupboard with hanging space. Very few places I have stayed in get this right! So very well done to you guys. Also very friendly staff! You guys were also very accommodating that we could still have a quick shower after our race, which is really appreciated!

Ideal location

Rooms not dark enough when sleeping…. Too much light from outside shines into room. I need a dark room to rest properly . Also need to keep restaurant open a bit later over weekend

A beautiful place with very nice people, very comfortable beds and pillows, an lovely bath. The restaurants food was very nice too, and decently priced. Because of the time of year it was pretty quiet and parking wasn't a problem.

If we go there again we will take blackout paper and masking tape to stick on the windows at night. They tell you that they dont have blackout curtains - its real. On the friday night the neighboring property seemed to be watching very loud TV. The other thing - which we struggle with in many places, was the strong smelling detergent used to wash the linen. Normal for many folk, but for us natural living, country folk quite a challenge.

All 3 of us found the mattresses EXTREMELY uncomfortable We were also kept awake by a constantly neighing DONKEY next door

Wine is not available at the restaurant.Something that is to be noted for guests who may want to enjoy some wine in the evening.There was also some old furniture in the restaurant area that was being cleared out during quieter winter months, but not ideal if I am being critical.

Nice facility and location, all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was small , but it was just as described and perfect for what my sister and I needed during our visit to Boulders Beach ans Cape Point.

The shower was difficult to climb out of as it was a bathtub as well , but it had all the necessities.

A small lounge would have been nice in the room but it was value for money so one can’t expect more.

Struttura vicinissima alla spiaggia dei pinguini! Dal letto si sentono i loro versi e ogni tanto si vedono camminare nel parcheggio di fronte alla struttura. Consiglio di mangiare presso il loro ristorante perché è il posto migliore in assoluto in cui abbiamo cenato! Pesce fresco, zuppa buonissima, tutto preparato al momento, niente di pronto. Si sente la differenza! Stanza enorme, praticamente un appartamento con sala, cucina, cameretta, camera e bagno. Non c'è una guardia notturna, non ci sono fili elettrici o filo spinato ma davvero non se ne sente la necessità. È tutto molto tranquillo. Anche lasciare la macchina nel parcheggio di fronte non è un problema.

Ce petit hôtel cosy et charmant est situé devant la mer et devant l’entrée de la réserve de Boulders beach. En hiver, c’est un régal de tranquillité et de lumière magique sur la mer. On entend les pingouins depuis nos chambres pour faire de jolis rêves.

Peut-être le café pourrait fermer un peu plus tard ? Sans mettre de pression sur le personnel qui est super serviable et charmant.

Wow to good too be true

Perfect location, right next to Boulders. It’s great having a restaurant onsite, the rooms are small but comfortable. Bedroom doors are frosted glass, so light at night may be a problem for some, bring eye masks :) Even so, best value for money, clean facilities, bar fridge and coffee/ tea/ kettle in the room. Will only book here if returning to Simon’s Town, especially when prices are marked down.

Overall the location was lovely, right by the beach. There are penguins around as well which was very nice to see and experience. Those visiting should just always make it a habit to check under their car for the penguins - there was one constantly chilling under our car for the exhaust heat. I think putting up a clear sign that says they might hang out in the parking lot or under the cars is a good idea to make sure no harm comes to these little guys. The curio shop was also very nice to visit but obviously more catered to tourists and their overseas wallets ;) (handmade objects I can understand will be charged more for but things like plushy toys etc. no need for it to be that expensive).

Our check in experience was also unexpected. To begin with there was no one at the front desk when we got there, even spoke louder to grab someone's attention. Eventually found a few staff sitting and chatting in the dining area, busy on their phones and doing each other's hair. We did ask for a quiet room but unfortunately our upstairs neighbour thought it wise to sneak in their dog (to accommodation that is not pet friendly). Most of our night was spent listening to the poor little thing whining and barking, tippy taps pacing up and down. My husband had to eventually speak to whoever was on duty that evening to ask them to speak to our neighbours since we were up and leaving early the next day and would have liked a peaceful night's rest.

The hotel is so ideally situated and the room was comfortable and a spacious bathroom. You can explore all the beaches and Boulders.

The parking lot can be very busy and buskers can be present. But not much not to like!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Boulders Beach Hotel. Our room was cozy and the balcony was nice. The location is excellent, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience offered great value for money. We would happily stay here again. A couple of areas for improvement: parking is limited and not guaranteed, which are challenging. We also did not notice a security guard patrolling the parking area, which would have provided additional peace of mind. The only other small suggestion would be to consider replacing the mattress, which has clearly provided many years of faithful service and may be ready for a well-deserved retirement. Overall, a great stay in a fantastic location.

Die Lage vom Hotel ist super! Direkt am Boulders Beach! Die Zimmer sind etwas klein und in die Jahre gekommen. Die Grünpflanze in unserem Zimmer wurde so sehr gegossen, das es über den Untersetzer auf den Boden lief! Das Abendessen im Hotel war sehr gut! Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich!

Das Bad ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, würde eine Renovierung vertragen! Das Hotel ist für einen kurzen Aufenthalt zu empfehlen, da Zimmer sehr klein und kein Platz für Koffer vorhanden ist.

El hotel está ubicado justo en la entrada a Boulders Beach, frente al mar, puedes disfrutar de amanecer y del sunset. Tienen un restaurante que está muy rico.

The location is truly magical being right next to Boulders Beach. When the crowds leave you have one of Cape Town’s top tourist destinations all to yourself.

This stay was real value for money. I was taken care of very well for the little money I paid. Staff was exceptionally accommodating and helpfull. The food at the restaurant was in a class of its own. The room was presented with all the immenities I usually get at expensive hotels.

I loved every minute of it. I would have liked that the curio shop was a little more affordable.

La terrasse du restaurant était devant notre chambre, tout le monde pouvait y circuler, nous devions tout fermer pour avoir un minimum d'intimité à l'intérieur de notre bungalow. Logement vieillissant

I'm not really a fan of wooden floors,so i didn't expect the wooden floors,i know it's a long shot but it would've be nice if the room had air-conditioning.

The close proximity to the beach , the room was comfortable and cozy.

We had to wait 30 minutes for our coffee order in the restaurant, we do not mind waiting but 30 minutes, not acceptable.
